⁷ At that time Hanani the seer came to King Asa of Judah and told him, “Because you have relied on the king of Aram and not on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand.

⁹ The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. ¹⁰ Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

³⁹ The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their stronghold in time of trouble. ⁴⁰ The LORD helps and delivers them; He rescues and saves them from the wicked, because they take refuge in Him.
