²² When Paul had landed at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church at Jerusalem. Then he went down to Antioch.

⁴⁰ But Philip appeared at Azotus and traveled through that region, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he came to Caesarea.

¹ At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was called the Italian Regiment.

²⁴ The following day he arrived in Caesarea, where Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.

¹¹ Just then three men sent to me from Caesarea stopped at the house where I was staying.

¹⁹ Meanwhile those scattered by the persecution that began with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the message only to Jews. ²⁰ But some of them, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began speaking to the Greeks as well, proclaiming the good news about the Lord Jesus. ²¹ The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord. ²² When news of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, they sent Barnabas to Antioch. ²³ When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to abide in the Lord with all their hearts. ²⁴ Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord. ²⁵ Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, ²⁶ and when he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. So for a full year they met together with the church and taught large numbers of people. The disciples were first called Christians at Antioch. ²⁷ In those days some prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch.

¹ Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch), and Saul.

²⁶ From Attalia they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work they had just completed.

⁴ On their arrival in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church and apostles and elders, to whom they reported all that God had done through them.

²³ and sent them with this letter: The apostles and the elders, your brothers, To the brothers among the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.

³⁰ So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they assembled the congregation and delivered the letter.

³⁵ But Paul and Barnabas remained at Antioch, along with many others, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord.

²¹ But as he left, he said, “I will come back to you if God is willing.” And he set sail from Ephesus. ²² When Paul had landed at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church at Jerusalem. Then he went down to Antioch.

¹⁷ When we arrived in Jerusalem, the brothers welcomed us joyfully. ¹⁸ The next day Paul went in with us to see James, and all the elders were present. ¹⁹ Paul greeted them and recounted one by one the things that God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

²³ Then he called two of his centurions and said, “Prepare two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen, and two hundred spearmen to go to Caesarea in the third hour of the night.

¹ Three days after his arrival in the province, Festus went up from Caesarea to Jerusalem,

⁹ But Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, said to Paul, “Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem to stand trial before me on these charges?”
