⁷ These also stagger from wine and stumble from strong drink: Priests and prophets reel from strong drink and are befuddled by wine. They stumble because of strong drink, muddled in their visions and stumbling in their judgments.

¹⁷ Finally he came to his senses and said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have plenty of food? ⁷ So the word of God continued to spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem grew rapidly, and a great number of priests became obedient to the faith.

¹⁹ and after taking some food, he regained his strength. And he spent several days with the disciples in Damascus. ²⁰ Saul promptly began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, declaring, “He is the Son of God.”
