¹⁸ Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them what He had said to her.

¹⁰ “Do not be afraid,” said Jesus. “Go and tell My brothers to go to Galilee. There they will see Me.”

¹⁰ She went and told those who had been with Him, who were mourning and weeping. ¹¹ And when they heard that Jesus was alive and she had seen Him, they did not believe it. ¹² After this, Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them as they walked along in the country. ¹³ And they went back and reported it to the rest, but they did not believe them either.

¹⁰ It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told this to the apostles.

²² Furthermore, some of our women astounded us. They were at the tomb early this morning, ²³ but they did not find His body. They came and told us they had seen a vision of angels, who said that Jesus was alive.

¹ Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.
