³ For strangers rise up against me, and ruthless men seek my life—men with no regard for God. Selah

¹³ He has removed my brothers from me; my acquaintances have abandoned me. ¹⁴ My kinsmen have failed me, and my friends have forgotten me. ¹⁵ My guests and maidservants count me as a stranger; I am a foreigner in their sight.

⁸ I have set the LORD always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

¹⁶ For dogs surround me; a band of evil men encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet.

¹ For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD. An oracle is in my heart regarding the transgression of the wicked man: There is no fear of God before his eyes.

¹⁴ May those who seek my life be ashamed and confounded; may those who wish me harm be repelled and humiliated.

⁴ Will the workers of iniquity never learn? They devour my people like bread; they refuse to call upon God.

³ See how they lie in wait for me. Fierce men conspire against me for no transgression or sin of my own, O LORD. ⁴ For no fault of my own, they move swiftly to attack me. Arise to help me, and take notice. ⁵ O LORD God of Hosts, the God of Israel, rouse Yourself to punish all the nations; show no mercy to the wicked traitors. Selah

⁸ I have become a stranger to my brothers and a foreigner to my mother’s sons,

¹⁴ The arrogant rise against me, O God; a band of ruthless men seeks my life, with no regard for You.

²⁰ But the chief priests and elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus put to death. ²¹ “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor. “Barabbas,” they replied. ²² “What then should I do with Jesus who is called Christ?” Pilate asked. They all answered, “Crucify Him!” ²³ “Why?” asked Pilate. “What evil has He done?” But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify Him!”

³ They will do these things because they have not known the Father or Me.
