²⁰ Is our substaunce bewen downe? As for the remnaunt of them the fire hath consumed

²⁴ Then the Lorde rayned vpon Sodome and Gomorrhe brymstone and fire, from the Lorde out of heauen

¹⁶ While he was yet speaking, there came another, and sayde: The fire of God is fallen from heauen, and hath brent vp thy sheepe and seruauntes, and consumed them: and I only am escaped alone to tell thee

⁷ Consider I pray thee who euer perished beyng an innocent? or when were the godly destroyed

³ Doth God paruert the thing that is lawfull? or doth the almightie destroy the thing that is right ⁴ For seyng that thy sonnes sinned against him, did not he send them into the place of their iniquitie

⁵ For thy mouth setteth forth thyne owne iniquitie, seeing thou hast chosen the tongue of the craftie ⁶ Thyne owne mouth condempneth thee, and not I: yea, thyne owne lippes shape an aunswere against thee

³⁰ He shall neuer depart out of darkenesse, the flame shal drye vp his branches, with the blast of ye mouth [of God] shall he be taken away

¹⁸ The thing he hath laboured for, shall he restore, and shall not eate of it: great trauaile shall he make for riches, but he shall not enioy them ¹⁹ And why? he hath oppressed the poore, and not helped them: houses hath he spoyled, and not builded them

²⁶ All darknesse shalbe hid in their secrete places, an vnkindled fire shal consume him: and loke what remaineth in his house, it shalbe destroyed

⁶ And turned their cities of Sodome & Gomorrhe into asshes, ouerthrewe the, dampned them, and made of them an ensample vnto those that after shoulde lyue vngodly ⁷ And iust Lot, vexed with ye vncleane conuersatio of the wicked, deliuered he
