¹ Finally then, brothers, we request of you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you should abound more. ² For you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus. ³ For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from fornication, ⁴ that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, ⁵ not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God, ⁶ that no one should transgress against and to defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger concerning all, just as we told you before and solemnly testified. ⁷ For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in sanctification. ⁸ Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has given His Holy Spirit to you. ⁹ Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for me to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another. ¹⁰ For indeed you do so toward all the brothers in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you increase more and more, ¹¹ and that you aspire to be quiet, and to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, just as we commanded you, ¹² in order that you may walk decently toward those outside, and may have need of nothing. ¹³ Now we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who have died, lest you be sorrowful as those who have no hope. ¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, thus also God will bring with Him those who die in Jesus. ¹⁵ For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall by no means precede those who are dead. ¹⁶ Because the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. ¹⁷ Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. ¹⁸ So then comfort one another with these words.

^{35 (37:34)} And all his sons and his daughters gathered themselves together, and came to comfort him; but he would not be comforted, saying, I will go down to my son mourning to Hades; and his father wept for him.

¹⁹ Gad, a plundering troop shall plunder him; but he shall plunder him, pursuing him closely.

¹⁶ And it came to pass on the third day, as the morning drew nigh, there were voices and lightnings and a dark cloud on Mount Sinai. The voice of the trumpet sounded loud, and all the people in the camp trembled.

¹⁷ You shall not covet your neighbor's wife; you shall not covet your neighbor's house; nor his field, nor his servant, nor his maid, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any of his cattle, nor whatever belongs to your neighbor. ¹⁸ And all the people perceived the thundering, and the flashes, and the voice of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and all the people feared and stood afar off,

⁴⁴ For I am the Lord your God; and you shall be sanctified, and you shall be holy, because I the Lord your God am holy; and you shall not defile your souls with any of the reptiles creeping upon the earth.

² Speak to the congregation of the children of Israel, and you shall say to them, You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.

⁸ And he that eats it shall bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the holy things of the Lord; and the souls that eat it shall be destroyed from among their people.

¹¹ You shall not steal, you shall not lie, neither shall one bear false witness as an informer against his neighbor.

¹³ You shall not injure your neighbor, neither shall you rob him, neither shall the wages of your hireling remain with you until the morning.

²⁸ And you shall not make cuttings in your body for a dead body, and you shall not inscribe on yourselves any marks. I am the Lord your God.

¹⁴ And if you should sell a possession to your neighbor, or if you should buy of your neighbor, let not a man oppress his neighbor.

¹⁷ Let not a man oppress his neighbor, and you shall fear the Lord your God: I am the Lord your God.

²¹ There shall not be trouble in Jacob, neither shall sorrow be seen in Israel; the Lord his God is with him, the glories of rulers are in him.

¹ You are the children of the Lord your God: you shall not make any baldness between you eyes for the dead. ² For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord your God has chosen you to be a peculiar people to Himself of all the nations on the face of the earth.

⁷ And if a man should be caught stealing one of his brethren of the children of Israel, and having overcome him he should sell him, that thief shall die; so shall you remove that evil one from yourselves.

¹³ You shall not have in your bag differing weights, a heavy and a light. ¹⁴ You shall not have in your house differing measures, a large and a small. ¹⁵ You shall have a true and just weight, and a true and just measure, that you may live long upon the land which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance. ¹⁶ For everyone that does this is an abomination to the Lord your God, even everyone that does injustice.

³⁵ In the day of vengeance I will recompense, whenever their foot shall be tripped up; for the day of their destruction is near to them, and the judgments at hand are close upon you.

⁷ And the Lord said to Samuel, Hear the voice of the people, in whatever they shall say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from reigning over them.

¹⁹ And you have this day rejected God, who is Himself your Deliverer out of all your evils and afflictions. And you said, No, but you shall set a king over us: and now stand before the Lord according to your tribes, and according to your families.

³ Behold, here am I, answer against me before the Lord and before His anointed. Whose calf have I taken? Or whose donkey have I taken? Or who among you have I oppressed? Or from whose hand have I taken a bribe, even as much as a sandal? Bear witness against me, and I will make restitution to you. ⁴ And they said to Samuel, You have not injured us, and you have not oppressed us; and you have not afflicted us, and you have not taken anything from anyone's hand.

⁵ And David answered the priest, and said to him, Yes, we have been kept from women for three days: when I came forth for the journey all the young men were purified; but this expedition is unclean, wherefore it shall be sanctified this day because of my weapons.

¹⁹ And David knew that his servants were whispering, and David perceived that the child was dead. And David said to his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. ²⁰ Then David rose up from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his clothes, and went into the house of God, and worshipped Him; and he went into his own house, and called for bread to eat, and they set bread before him and he ate.

³³ And the king was troubled, and went to the chamber over the gate, and wept. And thus he said as he went, My son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! I pray God I had died for you, even I had died for you, Absalom, my son, my son!

²¹ And it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and Solomon my son shall be offenders.

¹⁰ And David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the City of David.

¹ And behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel, and Jeroboam stood at the altar to sacrifice.

⁹ Eat no bread, and drink no water, and return not by the way in which you came.

¹⁷ For thus the Lord commanded me by His word, saying, Eat not bread there, and drink not water, and return not by the way in which you came. ¹⁸ And he said to him, I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back to you into your house, and let him eat bread and drink water; but he lied to him.

²² but have returned, and eaten bread and drunk water in the place of which He spoke to you, saying, You shall not eat bread, and shall not drink water; therefore your body shall by no means enter into the tomb of your fathers.

¹² And it shall come to pass when I shall have departed from you, that the Spirit of the Lord shall carry you to a land which I know not, and I shall go in to tell the matter to Ahab, and he will not find you, and he will slay me; yet your servant fears the Lord from his youth.

³⁵ And a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbor by the word of the Lord, Strike me. And the man would not strike him.

¹⁴ And Micaiah said, As the Lord lives, whatsoever the Lord shall say to me, that will I speak.

¹¹ And it came to pass as they were going, they went on talking; and behold, a chariot of fire appeared, with horses of fire, and it separated the two of them; and Elijah was taken up in a whirlwind into heaven.

¹⁶ And they said to him, Behold now, there are with your servants fifty men of strength: let them go now, and seek your master: perhaps the Spirit of the Lord has taken him up, and cast him into the Jordan, or on one of the mountains, or on one of the hills. And Elisha said, You shall not send them.

³⁰ Yet You had patience with them for many years, and testified to them by Your Spirit by the hand of Your prophets: but they hearkened not; so You gave them into the hand of the nations of the land.

²¹ and said, I myself came forth naked from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away. As it seemed good to the Lord, so has it come to pass; blessed be the name of the Lord.

⁹ But let the faithful hold on his own way, and let him that is pure of hands take courage.

²⁵ For I know that He is eternal who is about to deliver me, ²⁶ and to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these sufferings: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord; ²⁷ which I am conscious of in myself, which my eye has seen, and not another, but all have been fulfilled to me in my bosom.

¹³ And if I also despised the judgment of my servant or my handmaid, when they pleaded with me; ¹⁴ what then shall I do if the Lord should try me? And if also He should at all visit me, can I make an answer?

^{11 (41:2)} Or who will resist Me, and stand their ground, since the whole world under heaven is Mine?

¹¹ You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me with joy with Your countenance: at Your right hand there are delights forever.

¹⁵ But I shall appear in righteousness before Your face: I shall be satisfied when Your glory appears.

⁸ I desired to do Your will, O my God, and Your law in the midst of my heart.

¹ For the end, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with a voice of exaltation.

⁵ God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with a sound of a trumpet.

¹⁵ But God shall deliver my soul from the power of Hades, when He shall receive me. Pause.

²⁴ You have guided me by Your counsel, and You have taken me to Yourself with glory.

¹³ But I cried out to You, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer come before You.

¹⁴ Then shall they be increased in a fine old age; and they shall be prosperous; that they may declare

¹ A Psalm of David for the fourth day of the week. The Lord is a God of vengeance; the God of vengeance has declared Himself.

¹⁴⁷ I arose before the dawn, and cried; I hoped in Your words. ¹⁴⁸ My eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on Your oracles.

¹ A Song of Degrees. See now! What is so good, or what so pleasant, as for brethren to dwell together?

¹² I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the poor, and the right of the needy ones.

¹⁰ Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God; Your good Spirit shall guide me in the straight way.

⁷ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and there is good understanding to all that practice it: and godliness toward God is the beginning of discernment; but the ungodly will nullify wisdom and instruction.

¹⁸ But the ways of the righteous shine like light; they go forth and shine, until the day has fully come.

¹ False balances are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is acceptable unto Him.

³² The ungodly shall be driven away in his wickedness, but he who is secure in his own holiness is just.

¹¹ The poise of the balance is righteousness with the Lord, and his works are righteous measures.

¹ Better is a morsel with pleasure in peace, than a house full of many good things and unjust sacrifices, with strife.

²³ A double weight is an abomination to the Lord, and a deceitful balance is not good in His sight.

²² Do no violence to the poor, for he is needy, neither dishonor the helpless man in the gates. ²³ For the Lord will plead his cause, and you shall deliver your soul in safety.

⁹ Say nothing in the ears of a fool, lest at any time he sneer at your wise words.

²⁴ He that casts off father or mother, and thinks he does not sin, the same is partaker with an ungodly man.

⁶ Better is a handful of rest than two handfuls of trouble and grasping for the wind.

⁸ If you should see the oppression of the poor, and the wresting of judgment and of justice in the land, wonder not at the matter; for there is a high one to watch over him that is high, and high ones over them.

²³ Your princes are rebellious, companions of thieves, loving bribes, seeking after rewards; not pleading for orphans, and not heeding the cause of widows. ²⁴ Therefore thus says the Lord, the Lord of hosts, Woe to the mighty men of Israel; for My wrath shall not cease against My adversaries, and I will execute judgment on My enemies.

⁷ For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah His beloved plant; I expected it to bring forth judgment, and it brought forth iniquity; and not righteousness, but a cry.

⁸ Death has prevailed and swallowed men up; but again the Lord God has taken away every tear from every face. He has taken away the reproach of His people from all the earth; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. ⁹ And in that day they shall say, behold our God in whom we have trusted, and He shall save us; this is the Lord; we have waited for Him, and we have exalted, and will rejoice in our salvation.

¹⁹ The dead shall rise, and they that are in the tombs shall be raised, and they that are in the earth shall rejoice; for the dew from You is healing to them; but the land of the ungodly shall perish.

¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day that they shall blow the great trumpet, and the lost ones in the land of the Assyrians shall come, and the lost ones in Egypt, and shall worship the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.

¹⁰ and shall return, and come to Zion with joy, and everlasting joy shall be over their head; for on their head shall be praise and exaltation, and joy shall take possession of them; sorrow and pain, and groaning have fled away.

¹ Comfort, yes, comfort My people, says your God. ² Speak, you priests, to the heart of Jerusalem; comfort her, for her humiliation is accomplished, her sin is put away; for she has received of the Lord's hand double for her sins.

⁷ Thus says the Lord that delivered you, the God of Israel, Sanctify him that despises his life, him that is abhorred by the nations that are the servants of princes; kings shall behold him, and princes shall arise, and shall worship him, for the Lord's sake; for the Holy One of Israel is faithful, and I have chosen you.

¹³ And you have forgotten God who made you, who made the sky and founded the earth; and you were continually afraid because of the wrath of him that afflicted you; for whereas he counseled to take you away, yet now where is the wrath of him that afflicted you?

¹⁰ The Lord also is pleased to purge Him from His stroke. If you give an offering for sin, Your soul shall see a long-lived seed;

⁴ None speaks justly, neither is there true judgment; they trust in vanities, and speak empty words; for they conceive trouble, and bring forth iniquity. ⁵ They have hatched vipers' eggs, and weave a spider's web; and he that is going to eat of their eggs, having crushed an addled egg, has found also in it a basilisk. ⁶ Their web shall not become a garment, nor shall they at all clothe themselves with their works; for their works are works of iniquity. ⁷ And their feet run to wickedness, and are swift to shed blood; their thoughts also are thoughts of murder; destruction and misery are in their ways;

¹⁹ And you shall no more have the sun for a light by day, nor shall the rising of the moon lighten your night; but the Lord shall be your everlasting light, and God your glory. ²⁰ For the sun shall no more set, nor shall the moon be eclipsed; for the Lord shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be completed.

⁶ and oppress not the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, and go not after strange gods to your hurt;

⁴ Beware, each of his neighbor, and trust not in your brother, for everyone will surely supplant, and every friend will walk craftily.

³⁴ And no more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord. For all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more.

²⁶ is good, and shall wait for, and quietly expect salvation from the Lord.

¹⁷ I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; and you shall hear a word from My mouth, and shall threaten them from Me.

¹³ And if I shall smite My hand at your iniquities which you have accomplished, which you have wrought, and at your blood that has been shed in the midst of you,

¹⁶ Son of man, behold I take from you the desire of your eyes by violence. You shall not lament, neither shall you weep. ¹⁷ You shall groan for blood, and have mourning upon your loins; your hair shall not be braided upon you, and your sandals shall be on your feet; you shall by no means be comforted by their lips, and you shall not eat the bread of men. ¹⁸ And I spoke to the people in the morning, as He commanded me in the evening, and I did in the morning as it was commanded me.

¹¹ And the Lord spoke to me, saying, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: and they say, Our bones have become dry, our hope has perished, we are quite spent.

⁹ Thus says the Lord God: Let it suffice you, you princes of Israel; remove injustice and misery, execute judgment and justice; take away oppression from My people, says the Lord God. ¹⁰ You shall have a just balance, and a just measure, and a just bath for measure. ¹¹ And in like manner there shall be one bath as a measure of capacity; the tenth of the homer shall be the bath, and the tenth of the homer shall be in fair proportion to the homer. ¹² And the weights shall be twenty gerahs, your pound shall be five shekels, fifteen shekels and fifty shekels. ¹³ And these are the firstfruits which you shall offer; a sixth part of a homer of wheat, and the sixth part of it shall consist of an ephah of a homer of barley. ¹⁴ And you shall give as the appointed measure of oil one bath of oil out of ten baths; for ten baths are a homer.

¹³ I beheld in the night vision, and behold, One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven, and He came to the Ancient of Days, and was brought near to Him.

² And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproach and everlasting shame.

¹¹ And the Lord shall utter His voice before His army, for His camp is very great; for the execution of His words is mighty; for the day of the Lord is great, very glorious, and who shall be able to resist it?

⁵ saying, When will the month pass away, and we shall sell, and the sabbath, and we shall open the treasure, to make the measure small, and to enlarge the weight, and make the balance unfair? ⁶ That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for shoes; and we will trade in every kind of fruit.

² And they desired fields, and plundered orphans, and oppressed families, and spoiled a man and his house, even a man and his inheritance.

^{1 (3:1A)} Alas the glorious and ransomed city.

⁵ But the righteous Lord is in the midst of her, and He will never do an unjust thing: morning by morning He will bring out His judgment to the light, and it is not hidden, and He knows not injustice by extortion, nor injustice in strife.

⁷ Who are you, O great mountain before Zerubbabel, that you should prosper? Whereas I will bring out the stone of the inheritance, its grace equal to My grace.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; proclaim it aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, your King is coming to you, righteous, and your Savior; He is meek and riding on a donkey, a young foal of a donkey.

¹⁴ And the Lord shall be over them, and His arrow shall go forth as lightning: and the Lord Almighty shall blow with the trumpet; and shall proceed with the tumult of His threatening.

¹⁵ And this shall be the overthrow of the horses, mules, camels, donkeys, and all the beasts that are in those camps, according to this overthrow.

⁵ And I will draw near to you in judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the witches, and against the adulteresses, and against them that swear falsely by My name, and against them that keep back the hireling's wages, and them that oppress the widow, and afflict orphans, and that wrest the judgment of the stranger, and do not fear Me, says the Lord Almighty.

³² "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

²¹ "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.

⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother."

¹⁹ For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

²⁷ For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will render to each according to his works.

²⁵ He said, "Yes." And when he entered into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?"

³⁹ And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ³¹ And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

³⁵ For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother."

¹¹ And He said to them, "Unto you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come to be spoken in parables,

¹⁹ You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not commit murder,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not bear false witness,' 'Do not defraud,' 'Honor your father and your mother.' "

³⁴ It is like a man going away on a journey, having left his house and having given authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper that he should watch.

⁶² And Jesus said, "I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven."

⁵² Now all were weeping and mourning for her; but He said, "Do not weep; she is not dead, but asleep." ⁵³ And they were ridiculing Him, knowing that she had died.

¹⁶ He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me."

⁵ But I will show you whom you should fear: fear Him who after He kills, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!

³⁰ For all these things the nations of the world seek after, but your Father knows that you need these things.

⁴² And the Lord said, "Who then is a faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? ⁴³ Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.

²⁸ Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."

³⁴ Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

⁴⁴ No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me should draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught of God.' Therefore everyone who hears from the Father, and has learned, comes to Me.

¹⁷ If anyone desires to do His will, he will know about the doctrine, whether it is from God, or whether I am speaking on My own authority.

¹¹ These things He said, and after this He said to them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awaken him." ¹² Then His disciples said, "Lord, if he has fallen asleep he will get well." ¹³ However, Jesus spoke about his death, but they thought that He was speaking about resting in sleep.

²⁴ Martha said to Him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day."

²⁶ And if anyone serve Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant shall be also. If anyone serve Me, him My Father will honor.

⁴⁸ He that rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word which I spoke, that word will judge him in the last day.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. ³⁵ By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and I will receive you unto Myself; so that where I am, there you may be also.

²⁶ But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and will remind you of all things which I said to you.

² Every branch in Me which does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch which bears fruit He prunes, so that it may bear more fruit.

¹² This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. ¹³ Greater love has no one than this, that one should lay down his life on behalf of his friends. ¹⁴ You are My friends if you do what I command you. ¹⁵ No longer do I call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things which I heard from My Father I have made known to you. ¹⁶ You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you may ask the Father in My name He may give to you. ¹⁷ These things I command you, that you may love one another.

¹⁷ Sanctify them by Your truth; Your word is truth. ¹⁸ Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. ¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

²⁴ Father, I desire that those also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, so that they may behold My glory which You gave to Me; because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

⁹ Now after He said these things, while they were beholding Him, He was lifted up, and a cloud withdrew Him from their sight.

¹¹ who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you watched Him go into heaven."

³² Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things belonging to him was his own, but they had all things in common.

³ But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart for you to lie to the Holy Spirit, and for you to keep back for yourself from the price of the land? ⁴ While it remained unsold, did it not remain yours? ²⁰ Now in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. ²¹ Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, having been consecrated and useful to the Master, having been prepared for every good work.

¹ I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who is going to judge the living and the dead in accordance with His appearing and His kingdom:

⁴ so that they may urge the young women to be lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children, ⁵ temperate, pure, homemakers, good, submitting to their own husbands, lest the word of God be blasphemed. ⁶ Likewise exhort the young men to be sensible, ⁷ in all respects showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, dignity, incorruptibility, ⁸ sound speech that cannot be condemned, in order that the one who is an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us. ⁹ Exhort bondservants to be subject to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not talking back, ¹⁰ not embezzling, but showing good faith, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people as His own possession, zealous for good works.

⁵ hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, ⁶ that the sharing of your faith may become effective in full knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus. ⁷ For we have much thanksgiving and encouragement over your love, because the affections of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

⁹ rather on account of love I appeal to you--being such a one as Paul, the elder, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ-- ¹⁰ I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I begot in my bonds,

²⁴ And let us consider one another for the stirring up of love and of good works, ²⁵ not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, just as is the custom for some, but exhorting one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

³⁶ For you have need of endurance, so that having done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please God, for it is necessary for the one approaching God to believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

¹² Therefore strengthen the hands which are weakened, and the feeble knees,

¹⁴ Pursue peace and holiness with all people, without which no one shall see the Lord:

¹⁶ lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who in exchange for one meal gave up his birthright.

⁴ Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

¹⁶ having a good conscience, so that in what they speak against you as evildoers, those reviling your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame. ¹⁷ For it is better to suffer for doing good, if it is the will of God, than for doing evil.

² that he no longer should live the remaining time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. ³ For we have spent enough of our past lifetime to accomplish the will of the Gentiles--having walked in wantonness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.

⁸ And above all things have fervent love for one another, because "love will cover a multitude of sins."

¹⁰ As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. ¹¹ If anyone speaks, let him speak as the utterances of God. If anyone serves, let him serve as from strength, as God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord shall come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a rushing noise, and the elements, burning with heat, shall be dissolved, both the earth and the works that are in it shall be burned up.

¹³ But according to His promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

¹⁸ but grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. ²⁵ And this is the promise which He Himself promised to you--eternal life. ²⁶ These things I wrote to you concerning those who deceive you. ²⁷ And as for you, the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

¹¹ Because this is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,

¹⁴ We know that we have passed over from death to life, because we love the brothers. He who does not love his brother abides in death. ¹⁵ Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. ¹⁶ By this we have come to know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives in behalf of our brothers. ¹⁷ But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother having need, and shuts off his compassion towards him, how does the love of God abide in him? ¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. ¹⁹ And in this we know that we are from the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

²² And whatever we should ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and we do the things pleasing before Him. ²³ And this is His commandment: that we should believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and should love one another, just as He gave commandment. ²⁴ And the one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, from the Spirit whom He gave us.

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; and everyone that loves has been born of God and knows God. ⁸ He that does not love does not know God, because God is love. ⁹ By this the love of God is manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, in order that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if in this way God loved us, indeed we ought to love one another. ¹² No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. ¹³ (By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.) ¹⁴ And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. ¹⁵ Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. ¹⁶ And we have come to know and believe the love which God has in us. God is love, and he that abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

²¹ And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God should love his brother also.

⁸ Likewise indeed even these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme glories. ⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, when taking issue with the devil, was arguing about the body of Moses, dared not to bring a railing accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

¹⁴ Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, ¹⁵ to execute judgment against all, and to convict all the ungodly among them about all their ungodly deeds which they have committed impiously, and about all the harsh words which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

⁷ Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, and those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will wail because of Him. Even so, Amen!.

¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard a loud voice like a trumpet behind me,

¹⁸ I am He who lives, and became dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

¹⁴ And I said to him, "My lord, you know." So he said to me, "These are those who come out of the Great Tribulation, and have washed their robes and they made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve Him day and night in His temple. And He that sits on the throne shall dwell among them. ¹⁶ They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; nor shall the sun by any means strike them, nor any scorching heat; ¹⁷ because the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shepherds them, and He leads them to the springs of the waters of life. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

¹³ And I saw, and I heard an eagle flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe for those who dwell on the earth, from the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are to sound their trumpets!"

³ And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them. ⁴ And He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying out; neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away." ⁵ Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are faithful and true." ⁶ And He said to me, " I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give from the spring of the water of life freely to him that is thirsty. ⁷ He that overcomes I shall give to him these things, and I shall be God to him, and he shall be to Me a son. ⁸ But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and sinners, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and drug users, and idolaters, and all who are false shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

²² But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, also the Lamb. ²³ The city had no need of the sun nor of the moon to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

³ And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants will minister to Him. ⁴ And they shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. ⁵ And night shall not exist. and there shall not be a need of a lamp and of light, because the Lord God shall illuminate them. And they shall reign forever and ever.

¹⁵ But outside are dogs and drug users and fornicators and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices a lie.
