1 Then Saul, still breathing murderous threats against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest
2 and requested from him letters of authority to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he should find any who were of the Way, both men or women, he might bring them, having been bound, to Jerusalem.
3 And as he was going, it came about that he drew near to Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.
4 And falling on the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?"
5 And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" And the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.
6 "But stand up and enter into the city, and it will be spoken to you what you must do."
7 And the men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one.
8 And Saul arose from the ground, and although his eyes were open, he saw no one; and leading him by the hand, they brought him into Damascus.
9 And he was three days not seeing, and neither ate nor drank.
10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Behold I am here, Lord."
11 And the Lord said to him, "Arise and go to the street called Straight, and seek out in the house of Judas, a man named Saul, of Tarsus; for behold, he is praying.
12 And he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, in order that he might see again."
13 But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many wicked things he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem;
14 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who are calling on Your name."
15 But the Lord said to him, "Go your way, for he is a chosen vessel to Me to bear My name before Gentiles and kings, and the sons of Israel.
16 For I will show him all the things that he must suffer for My name's sake."
17 And Ananias departed and entered the house; and putting his hands on him, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord has sent me, the One who appeared to you in the way which you were coming, so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he saw again; and arising, he was baptized,
19 and when he received food, he was strengthened. Now Saul was with the disciples in Damascus three days.
20 And immediately in the synagogues he was proclaiming Christ, that He is the Son of God.
21 And all those who heard were astounded, and were saying, "Is this not the one who destroyed those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and has come here for that purpose, so that he might take them having been bound, to the chief priests?"
22 But Saul all the more was growing strong, and was confounding the Jews who were dwelling in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ.
23 Now when many days were fulfilled, the Jews plotted to kill him.
24 But their plot became known to Saul. And they closely watched the city gates both day and night, in order that they might kill him.
25 But the disciples, taking him by night, they let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.
26 Now when Saul arrived in Jerusalem, he tried to join himself to the disciples; but they all were afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
27 But Barnabas, taking hold of him, brought him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord on the way, and that He had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he spoke boldly in the name of Jesus.
28 So he was entering with them into Jerusalem,
29 and speaking boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and he was speaking and disputing with the Greek-speaking Jews, but they were attempting to kill him.
30 But the brothers, learning about it, brought him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.
31 Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified, and going in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, were multiplying.
32 Now it came to pass, as Peter went through all parts of the country, that he went down to the saints who were dwelling in Lydda.
33 And he found there a certain man named Aeneas, who had been confined to a bed for eight years, who was paralyzed.
34 And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed." Then he arose immediately.
35 And all who were dwelling at Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.
36 Now in Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which being translated is called Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and charitable giving which she was doing.
37 But it came about in those days that she took sick and died; and they washed her, and put her in an upper room.
38 Now since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, having heard that Peter was in Joppa, sent to him, urging him not to delay in coming to them.
39 And arising, Peter went with them. When he arrived, they took him into the upper room, and all the widows stood beside him weeping, showing him tunics and cloaks which Dorcas was making, while being with them.
40 But Peter, having put them all outside, knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up.
41 And giving to her his hand, he raised her up; and when he called the saints and the widows, he presented her living.
42 And it became known throughout all of Joppa, and many believed on the Lord.
43 And it came about that he stayed many days in Joppa with one Simon, a tanner.

Esther 3:8-13
8 And he spoke to King Artaxerxes, saying, There is a nation scattered among the nations in all your kingdom, and their laws differ from those of all the other nations; and they disobey the laws of the king. Therefore it is not fitting for the king to let them alone.
9 If it seems good to the king, let him make a decree to destroy them, and I will remit into the king's treasury ten thousand talents of silver.
10 And the king took off his ring, and gave it into the hands of Haman, to seal the decrees against the Jews.
11 And the king said to Haman, Keep the silver, and treat the nation as you will.
12 So the king's recorders were called in the first month, on the thirteenth day, and they wrote as Haman commanded to the captains and governors in every province, from India even to Ethiopia, to a hundred and twenty-seven provinces, and to the rulers of the nations according to their many languages, in the name of King Artaxerxes.
13 And the message was sent by posts throughout the kingdom of Artaxerxes, to utterly destroy the race of the Jews on the first day of the twelfth month, which is Adar, and to plunder their goods. And the following is the copy of the letter: The great King Artaxerxes writes thus to the rulers and inferior governors of a hundred and twenty-seven provinces, from India even to Ethiopia, who hold authority under him. Ruling over many nations, and having obtained dominion over the whole world, I was minded, (not elated by the confidence of power but ever conducting myself with great moderation and with gentleness) to make the lives of my subjects continually tranquil, desiring both to maintain the kingdom quite and orderly to its utmost limits, and to restore the peace desired by all men. But when I had inquired of my counselors how this should be brought to pass, Haman, who excels in sound judgment among us, and has been manifestly well inclined without wavering and with unshaken fidelity, and has obtained the second post in the kingdom, informed us that a certain ill-disposed people is mixed up with all the tribes throughout the world, opposed in their laws to every other nation, and continually neglecting the commands of the kings, so that the united government blamelessly administered by us is not quietly established. Having then conceived that this nation alone of all others is continually set in opposition to every man, introducing as a change a foreign code of laws, and injuriously plotting to accomplish the worst of evils against our interests, and against the happy establishment of the monarchy; we have accordingly appointed those who are signified to you in the letters written by Haman, who is set over the public affairs and is our second governor, to utterly destroy them all with their wives and children by the swords of the enemies, without pitying or sparing any, on the fourteenth day of the twelfth month (which is Adar) of the present year; that the people aforetime and now ill-disposed to us having been violently consigned to death in one day, may hereafter secure to us continually a well- constituted and quiet state of affairs.

21 until his flesh shall be consumed, and he shall show his bones bare.
22 His soul also draws near to death, and his life is in Hades.
23 Though there should be a thousand messengers of death, not one of them shall wound him: if he should purpose in his heart to turn to the Lord, and declare to man his fault, and show his folly;

25 And He will make his flesh tender as that of a babe, and He will restore him among men in his full strength.
26 And he shall pray to the Lord, and his prayer shall be accepted by Him; he shall enter with a cheerful countenance, with a full expression of praise: for He will render to men their due.

17 delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you,
18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, in order for them to receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'
19 "Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,
20 but to those first in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, proclaiming that they must repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.
Acts 26:20

Acts 26:32
32 Then Agrippa said to Festus, "This man could have been released if he had not appealed to Caesar."
Acts 27:24
24 saying, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; for it is necessary for you to stand before Caesar; and behold, God has granted you all those sailing with you.'
Acts 27:33-36
33 And until the time was about to be day, Paul was urging them all to receive their share of food, saying, "Today is the fourteenth day you continue waiting without eating, having taken nothing.
34 Therefore I urge you to take food, for this is for your deliverance; for not a hair from your head shall fall."
35 And having said these things and having taken bread, he gave thanks to God in the presence of all, and having broken it, he began to eat.
36 And they all became cheerful and also took food themselves.
Acts 28:17-22
17 And it came to pass after three days that Paul called together those who were prominent among the Jews; and when they had come together, he said to them: "Men, brothers, though I have done nothing against the people or the customs of our forefathers, yet I was handed over as a prisoner from Jerusalem, into the hands of the Romans,
Acts 28:17-Romans 1:1
17 And it came to pass after three days that Paul called together those who were prominent among the Jews; and when they had come together, he said to them: "Men, brothers, though I have done nothing against the people or the customs of our forefathers, yet I was handed over as a prisoner from Jerusalem, into the hands of the Romans,
18 who, when they had examined me, were wanting to release me because there was no cause for my case.
19 But when the Jews spoke in opposition, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything of which to accuse my nation.
20 Therefore for this reason I have requested you, to see and to speak to you, for because of the hope of Israel I am wearing this chain."
21 Then they said to him, "We neither received letters from Judea concerning you, nor have any of the brothers who arrived report or speak anything evil about you.
22 But we request to hear from you the things which you think; for concerning this sect, it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against."
23 And having appointed for him a day, many came to him at his house, to whom he was explaining and solemnly testifying to the kingdom of God, and persuading them of the things concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning till evening.
Romans 1:4
Romans 1:7
7 To all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:13-15
13 Now I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, that often I planned to come to you (and I was hindered until now), that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among the other Gentiles.
14 I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.
15 So, as much as is in me, I am eager to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.
Romans 5:5
5 And hope does not put to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:20
20 But the law came in alongside, so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace superabounded,
Romans 7:9
9 For I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived, but I died.
Romans 9:15-24
15 For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion."
16 So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God who shows mercy.
17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very thing I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be proclaimed in all the earth."
18 So then He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.
19 You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who has ever resisted His will?"
20 But indeed, O man, who are you to be answering back against God? Surely the thing formed will not say to him who formed it, "Why did you made me like this?"
21 Or does not the potter have authority over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and the other for dishonor?
22 But what if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make known His power, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath having been prepared for destruction,
23 and so that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,
24 even us whom He called, not only of the Jews, but also of the Gentiles?
Romans 10:3
3 For they, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Romans 10:12-14
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord of all is rich to all who call upon Him.
13 For "whosoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved."
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear apart from a preacher?
Romans 10:20

17 For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 14:19
19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.
Romans 15:7
7 Therefore receive one another, just as also Christ received you, to the glory of God.
Romans 15:13
13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:15-21
15 And I write more boldly to you brothers, in part, as reminding you, because of the grace having been given to me by God,
16 that I should be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God as a priest, so that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17 Therefore I have something to boast of in Christ Jesus in the things pertaining to God.
18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ did not work out through me, in word and deed, for the obedience of the Gentiles--
19 in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
20 And so eagerly striving to evangelize not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon the foundation of another,
21 but as it is written: "To whom He was not announced, they shall see; and those who have not heard shall understand."

1 Corinthians 1:27
27 But God chose the foolish things of the world in order that He might humiliate the wise, and God chose the weak things of the world in order that He might humiliate the mighty.
1 Corinthians 3:9-15
9 For we are coworkers with God; you are God's field, you are God's building.
10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise architect I have laid the foundation, but another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.
11 For no other foundation can anyone lay, other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
13 each one's work shall be made manifest; for the Day shall reveal it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall test each one's work, as to what sort it is.
14 If anyone's work which he has built remains, he shall receive a reward.
15 If anyone's work is burned up, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, but so as through fire.
1 Corinthians 4:7
7 For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if you did indeed receive what you have, why do you boast as though you did not receive it?
1 Corinthians 4:9-13
9 For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men appointed to death; for we became a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.
10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are despised!
11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are naked, and beaten, and homeless.
12 And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;
13 being defamed, we encourage; we have become as the sweepings of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.
1 Corinthians 9:6
6 Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to forego working?
1 Corinthians 10:22
22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?
1 Corinthians 12:12
12 For just as the body is one and has many parts, but all the parts of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
1 Corinthians 14:4-5
4 He who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church.
5 Now I wish you all spoke in tongues, but even more that you should prophesy; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks in tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may receive edification.
1 Corinthians 14:12
12 So also you, since you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that you may abound to the edification of the church.
1 Corinthians 14:26
26 What is it then, brothers? Whenever you come together, each of you has a song, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.
1 Corinthians 15:8
8 And last of all, as of one born out of due time, He appeared to me also.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than them all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
1 Corinthians 15:47
47 The first man was from earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.
2 Corinthians 3:14
14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is removed in Christ.
2 Corinthians 3:16
16 But whenever one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2 Corinthians 4:6
6 Because it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 6:4

2 Corinthians 7:1
1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 8:12
12 For if there is first a readiness, it is acceptable according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.
2 Corinthians 10:8
8 For even if I should boast somewhat more concerning our authority, which the Lord gave us for edification and not for your destruction, I will not be ashamed,
2 Corinthians 11:23-27
23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am even more: in labors far more, in beatings immeasurably, in imprisonments far more, in deaths often.
24 By the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one.
25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have spent in the depth of the sea.
26 In journeys often, in dangers of rivers, in dangers of robbers, in dangers from my own race, in dangers from the Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers in the sea, in dangers among false brothers;
2 Corinthians 11:26
26 In journeys often, in dangers of rivers, in dangers of robbers, in dangers from my own race, in dangers from the Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers in the sea, in dangers among false brothers;

2 Corinthians 11:32
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For whenever I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:19
19 Again, do you think that we are defending ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ. But we do all things, beloved, for your edification.
2 Corinthians 13:10
10 Because of this I write these things being absent, in order that when I am present I may not deal sharply with you, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for edification and not for destruction.
