¹ Now in the first year of Cyrus king of the Persians, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of the Persians, and he issued a proclamation through all his kingdom, and that in writing, saying, ² Thus said Cyrus king of the Persians: The Lord God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has given me a command to build Him a house in Jerusalem that is in Judea. ³ Who is there among you of all His people? For his God shall be with him, and he shall go up to Jerusalem that is in Judea, and let him build the house of the God of Israel: He is the God that is in Jerusalem. ⁴ And let every Jew that is left go from every place where he sojourns, and the men of his place shall help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, together with the voluntary offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

⁹ But if you turn again to Me, and keep My commandments, and do them; if you should be scattered to the uttermost parts of heaven, yet will I gather them from there, and I will bring them into the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.

¹ A Song of Degrees. When the Lord turned the captivity of Zion, we became as those that are comforted. ² Then was our mouth filled with joy, and our tongue with exaltation; then would they say among the Gentiles, The Lord has done great things among them. ³ The Lord has done great things for us, we became joyful. ⁴ Turn, O Lord, our captivity, as the streams in the south.

⁷ Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Raze it, raze it, even to its foundations. ⁸ Wretched daughter of Babylon! Blessed shall he be who shall reward you as you have rewarded us. ⁹ Blessed shall he be who shall seize and dash your infants against the rock.

¹ My son, if you will receive the utterance of my commandment, and hide it within you; ² your ear shall hearken to wisdom; you shall also apply your heart to understanding, and shall apply it to the instruction of your son. ³ For if you shall call to wisdom, and utter your voice for understanding; ⁴ and if you shall seek it as silver, and search diligently for it as for treasures; ⁵ then shall you understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

¹³ Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, and the mortal who knows prudence. ¹⁴ For it is better to traffic for her, than for treasures of gold and silver. ¹⁵ And she is more valuable than precious stones: no evil thing shall resist her. ⁴ Who has gone up to heaven, and come down? Who has gathered the winds in His bosom? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has dominion of all the ends of the earth? What is His name? Or what is the name of His children?

² Hear, O heaven, and hearken, O earth! For the Lord has spoken, saying, I have begotten and reared up children, but they have rebelled against Me.

²⁵ And I will bring My hand upon you, and purge you completely, and I will destroy the rebellious, and I will take away all transgressors from you. ²⁶ And I will establish your judges as before, and your counselors as at the beginning; and afterward you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful mother city of Zion.

⁶ I will say to the north, Bring; and to the south, Keep not back; bring My sons from the land afar off, and My daughters from the ends of the earth;

¹⁹ I have not spoken in secret, nor in a dark place of the earth; I said not to the seed of Jacob, Seek vanity; I, even I, am the Lord, speaking righteousness, and proclaiming truth.

⁸ Therefore remember these things, and groan; repent, you that have gone astray, return in your heart;

² Why do you value at the price of money, and give your labor for that which will not satisfy? Hearken to Me, and you shall eat that which is good, and your soul shall feast itself on good things. ³ Give heed with your ears, and follow My ways; hearken to Me, and your soul shall live in prosperity; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, the sure mercies of David.

⁶ Seek the Lord, and when you find Him, call upon Him; and when He draws near to you, ⁷ let the ungodly leave his ways, and the transgressor his counsels; and let him return to the Lord, and he shall find mercy; for He shall abundantly pardon your sins.

⁴ Thus says the Lord to the eunuchs: as many as shall keep My Sabbaths, and choose the things which I take pleasure in, and take hold of My covenant;

⁸ says the Lord that gathers the dispersed of Israel; for I will gather to him a congregation.

⁵ And as a young man lives with a virgin, so shall your sons dwell in you; and it shall come to pass that as a bridegroom will rejoice over a bride, so will the Lord rejoice over you.

¹⁷ Why have You caused us to err, O Lord, from Your way? And have hardened our hearts, that we should not fear You? Return for Your servants' sake, for the sake of the tribes of Your inheritance, ¹⁸ that we may inherit a small part of Your holy mountain.

¹⁹ And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and will be glad in My people; and there shall no more be heard in her the voice of weeping, or the voice of crying.

¹² The heaven is amazed at this, and is very exceedingly horrorstruck, says the Lord. ¹³ For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn out for themselves broken cisterns, which will not be able to hold water.

¹⁰ And for all these things faithless Judah turned not to Me with all her heart, but falsely.

⁴ Circumcise yourselves to your God, and circumcise your hardness of heart, you men of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest My wrath go forth as fire, and burn, and there be none to quench it, because of the evil of your devices.

¹⁴ Cleanse your heart from wickedness, O Jerusalem, that you may be saved; how long will your grievous thoughts be within you?

³ because they chose death rather than life, even to all the remnant that are left of that family, in every place where I shall drive them out.

²⁶ on Egypt, Edom, Edom, on the children of Ammon, on the children of Moab, and everyone that shaves his face round about, even them that dwell in the wilderness; for all the Gentiles are uncircumcised in flesh, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in their hearts.

² You have planted them, and they have taken root; they have begotten children, and become fruitful; You are near to their mouth, but far from their mind.

¹⁹ Behold, I will work in you for your sake at that time, says the Lord: and I will save her that was oppressed, and receive her that was rejected; and I will make them a praise, and honored in all the earth. ²⁰ And their enemies shall be ashamed at that time, when I shall deal well with you, and at the time when I shall receive you: for I will make you honored and a praise among all the nations of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before you, says the Lord.

⁷ Thus says the Lord Almighty; Behold, I will save My people from the east country, and the west country; ⁸ and I will bring them in, and cause them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and they shall be to Me a people, and I will be to them a God, in truth and in righteousness.

³ And it shall come to pass in that day that I will make Jerusalem a trodden stone to all the nations; everyone that tramples on it shall utterly mock at it, and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it.

¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and compassion: and they shall look upon Me, because they have mocked Me, and they shall make lamentation for Him, as for a beloved friend, and they shall grieve intensely, as for a firstborn son.

²¹ "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.

⁴² The queen of the South shall rise up in the judgment with this generation and she shall condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

³⁷ Jesus said to him, " 'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.'

¹⁶ He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that does not believe shall be condemned.

⁴² But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her."

⁶ And coming into the house, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' ⁷ I say to you that likewise there shall be more joy in heaven over one sinner repenting than over ninety-nine righteous who need no repentance. ⁸ "Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house, and search carefully until she finds it? ⁹ And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together, saying, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I lost!' ¹⁰ Just so, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

¹⁷ But having come to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have an abundance of bread, and I am perishing with hunger!

³² But it was necessary to be merry and to rejoice, because your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.' "

³ Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." ⁴ Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born, being old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" ⁵ Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and of Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. ⁶ That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. ⁷ Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

¹³ And no one has gone up into heaven except He who came down out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness more than the light, because their works were evil. ²⁰ For everyone that does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works be exposed. ²¹ But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God."

⁴⁶ For if you believed Moses, you would have believed Me; for he wrote about Me.

²⁷ Work not for the food which perishes, but for the food which abides unto everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give to you; for upon Him God the Father has set His seal."

²⁵ Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. ²⁶ And everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

⁶ Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

²¹ He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him."

¹¹ These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may abide in you, and that your joy may be full.

³ And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

³⁹ "For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all those afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

¹⁹ Repent therefore and turn back, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that seasons of relaxation may come from the presence of the Lord,

²⁷ And arising, he went; and behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch, a court official of Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem worshipping, ²⁸ and he was returning. And sitting upon his chariot, he was reading the prophet Isaiah. ²⁹ Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go near, and join yourself to this chariot." ³⁰ And Phillip, running up to it, heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Indeed, do you know what you are reading?" ³¹ And he said, "How can I, if not someone guides me?" And he urged Philip to come up and sit with him. ³² Now the portion of the Scripture which he was reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, thus He opened not His mouth. ³³ In His humiliation His justice was taken away, and who will recount His generation? For His life is taken away from the earth." ³⁴ So the eunuch answered Philip and said, "I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this; about himself, or about some other person?" ³⁵ And Philip, opening his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached the good news about Jesus to him. ³⁶ Now as they were going down the road, they came upon some water. And the eunuch said, "Behold, here is water: what prevents me from being baptized?" ³⁷ (OMITTED TEXT) ³⁸ And he ordered the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, both Phillip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. ³⁹ Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught up Philip, and the eunuch did not see him any longer; and he went on his way rejoicing. ⁴⁰ But Philip was found at Azotus. And going through, he preached the gospel to all the cities until he came to Caesarea.

²² And they said, "Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and fearing God, having a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was given a revelation by a holy angel to send for you to his house, and to hear words from you."

³³ "Therefore immediately I sent to you, and you have done well to come. Now then we are all present before God, to hear all the things having been commanded you by God."

²³ who, arriving and seeing the grace of God, was glad, and encouraged them all with purpose of heart to continue with the Lord,

²⁶ "Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the message of this salvation has been sent.

³⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this Man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, ³⁹ and from all things from which you could not (by the Law of Moses) be justified, by Him everyone that believes is justified. ⁴⁰ Watch therefore, lest there come upon you that which was spoken of in the prophets: ⁴¹ "Behold, you despisers, and marvel and perish! For I will work a work in your days which you will by no means believe, though one were to declare it to you.' "

⁹ And a vision appeared during the night to Paul. A certain man of Macedonia was standing, urging him, and saying, "Come across to Macedonia and help us."

²⁵ nor by the hands of men is He served, as though He needed anything, for He gives to all life, and breath, with respect to all things.

²⁸ for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.'

²⁰ but to those first in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, proclaiming that they must repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.

²³ And having appointed for him a day, many came to him at his house, to whom he was explaining and solemnly testifying to the kingdom of God, and persuading them of the things concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning till evening. ²⁴ And some were persuaded by the things being said, but others refused to believe. ²⁵ And being in disagreement with one another, they went away after Paul had said one word: "The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, ²⁶ saying, 'Go to this people and say: "Hearing you will hear, and by no means understand; and seeing you shall see, and by no means perceive; ²⁷ For the hearts of this people has become dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and they should hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their heart and turn back, so that I should heal them." ' ²⁸ "Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!"

²⁸ For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in flesh; ²⁹ but he is a Jew that is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, whose praise is not of men but of God.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

⁶ But the righteousness of faith says thus, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who shall ascend into heaven?' " (that is, to bring Christ down) ⁷ or, " 'Who shall descend into the abyss?' " (that is, to bring up Christ from the dead). ⁸ But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we proclaim):

¹⁴ How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear apart from a preacher? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, of those preaching the gospel of good things!"

²³ And they also, if they do not remain in unbelief, shall be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer shall come out of Zion, and He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer shall come out of Zion, and He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob; ²⁷ For this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins."

³¹ even so these now were disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also might be shown mercy.

⁹ Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.

^{25 (14:24)} Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began, ^{26 (14:25)} but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the eternal God, for obedience to the faith--

¹⁹ Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God.

³ But if anyone loves God, this one has been known by Him.

¹⁶ But whenever one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

¹⁷ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, all things have become new.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.

¹³ Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree," ¹⁴ so that the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

¹⁶ and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, putting to death the enmity in Himself.

²⁴ Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

¹³ for it is God who is working in you, both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

²⁶ the mystery which has been hidden from the ages and from generations, but now was revealed to His saints. ²⁷ To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;

¹¹ In whom you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by the putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,

³ For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ Whenever Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

²¹ I charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing according to partiality.

⁴ and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to myths.

¹ On account of this we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. ² For if the word which was spoken through angels was confirmed, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, ³ how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which in the beginning was spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,

¹² Take heed, brothers, lest there be in anyone of you a wicked heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;

²⁵ See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape, having refused Him who warned them, how much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who warns from heaven;

¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptation; because when he is approved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to those who love Him.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those that love Him?

⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

²³ And this is His commandment: that we should believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and should love one another, just as He gave commandment.

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; and everyone that loves has been born of God and knows God.

¹⁶ And we have come to know and believe the love which God has in us. God is love, and he that abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. ¹⁷ By this love has been perfected with us: that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because just as He is, we also are in this world. ¹⁸ There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment. But he that fears has not been made perfect in love. ¹⁹ We love Him because He first loved us.

² By this we know that we love the children of God, whenever we love God and keep His commandments. ³ For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,

³ For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome, ⁴ because everything having been born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that has overcome the world--your faith.

¹¹ And this is the testimony: that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² He that has the Son has life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have life.

⁶ And He said to me, " I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give from the spring of the water of life freely to him that is thirsty.

¹ And he showed me a pure river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. The one who desires, let him take the water of life freely.
