¹³ But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far away have come to be near by the blood of Christ.

⁷ All that saw Me mocked Me; they spoke with their lips, they shook the head, saying,

²⁷ For behold, they that remove themselves far from You shall perish; You have destroyed everyone that goes a whoring from You.

¹⁰ And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, and He that shall arise to rule over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles trust, and His rest shall be glorious.

¹⁵ Therefore shall the glory of the Lord be in the isles of the sea; the name of the Lord shall be glorious. ¹⁶ O Lord God of Israel, from the ends of the earth we have heard wonderful things, and there is hope for the godly; but they shall say, Woe to the despisers, that abhor the law.

⁶ I will say to the north, Bring; and to the south, Keep not back; bring My sons from the land afar off, and My daughters from the ends of the earth;

¹² Behold, these shall come from far; and these from the north and the west, and others from the land of the Persians.

¹⁹ peace upon peace to them that are far off, and to them that are close by; and the Lord has said, I will heal them.

⁴ Lift up your eyes round about, and behold your children gathered; all your sons have come from far, and your daughters shall be borne on men's shoulders.

⁹ The isles have waited for Me, and the ships of Tarshish among the first, to bring your children from afar, and their silver and their gold with them, and that for the sake of the holy name of the Lord, and because the Holy One of Israel is glorified.

¹⁹ And I will leave a sign upon them, and I will send forth them that have escaped of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, Lud, Mosoch, and to Tubal, and to Greece, and to the isles afar off, to those who have not heard of My name, nor seen My glory; and they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles.

¹⁹ O Lord, You are my strength and my help, and my refuge in days of evil. To You the Gentiles shall come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, How worthless were the idols which our fathers procured for themselves, and there is no help in them.

³⁹ "For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all those afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

¹⁴ Simon had declared how God first visited them to take from the Gentiles a people for His name.

²¹ "Then He said to me, 'Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.' "

¹⁸ to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, in order for them to receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.'

²³ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ being justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus, ²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of the sins having previously occurred, in the forbearance of God, ²⁶ for a demonstration of His righteousness in the present time, that He might be just and the justifier of he who is of the faith of Jesus. ²⁷ Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through the law of faith. ²⁸ Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. ²⁹ Or is He the God of the Jews only? But is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, also of Gentiles, ³⁰ since there is one God who will justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.

⁹ Much more then, having been justified now by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. ¹⁰ For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

¹ There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

⁸ Now I say that Christ Jesus has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, in order to confirm the promises to the fathers, ⁹ and that the Gentiles might glorify God on behalf of His mercy, as it is written: "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, and I will sing praise to Your name." ¹⁰ And again he says: "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!" ¹¹ And again: "Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Praise Him, all you peoples!" ¹² And again, Isaiah says: "There shall be the root of Jesse; and He that shall rise to rule over the Gentiles, in Him the Gentiles shall hope."

³⁰ But from Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption;

¹¹ And such were some of you! But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

¹⁷ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, all things have become new.

²⁰ Now then, we serve as ambassadors for Christ, as though God were appealing through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

⁷ In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

¹² that at that time you were apart from Christ, being estranged from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, not having hope and atheists in the world.

¹⁶ and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, putting to death the enmity in Himself. ¹⁷ And having come, He preached peace to you who were far away and to those near.

¹⁹ So then, you are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, ²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, ²¹ in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, ²² in whom you also are being built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

⁵ which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: ⁶ that the Gentiles should be joint-heirs, and of the same body, and joint-partakers in His promise in Christ by the gospel, ⁷ of which I became a minister according to the free gift of the grace of God which was given to me according to the working of His power. ⁸ To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

¹³ He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, ¹⁴ in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

²⁰ and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on the earth or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of His cross. ²¹ And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled ²² in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach before Him--

¹⁸ Therefore not even the first covenant has been dedicated without blood.

¹⁸ knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your futile way of life handed down from your forefathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb blameless and spotless,

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered once to atone for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring you to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit,

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; because You were slain, and You redeemed us to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and language and people and nation;
