¹¹ But when Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was to be blamed.

²¹ And Moses said to Aaron, What have this people done to you, that you have brought such a great sin upon them? ²² And Aaron said to Moses, Be not angry, my lord, for you know the impulsiveness of this people.

¹² And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, Because you have not believed Me to sanctify Me before the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

¹⁷ Gird up your loins, and stand up, and speak all the words that I shall command you. Be not afraid of their face, neither be alarmed before them; for I am with you, to deliver you, says the Lord.

³ But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. And he went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish: and he paid his fare, and went up into it, to sail with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.

³ And now, Lord God, take my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. ⁴ And the Lord said to Jonah, Are you very much grieved?

⁹ And God said to Jonah, Are you very much grieved for the gourd? And he said, I am very much grieved, even to death.

¹⁷ Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. ¹⁸ And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I shall build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

²³ But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block unto Me, because you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

¹⁹ Then those who were scattered because of the tribulation coming about over Stephen, went about as far as Phoenicia, and Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews only.

¹ And certain men coming down from Judea were teaching the brothers, "If you are not circumcised in the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."

³⁰ Then having been dismissed, they came to Antioch; and having gathered the multitude together, they delivered the letter. ³¹ And when they had read it, they rejoiced over its encouragement. ³² Now Judas and Silas, themselves being prophets also, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words. ³³ And when time had passed, they were dismissed with peace from the brothers to the apostles. ³⁴ (OMITTED TEXT) ³⁵ But Paul and Barnabas spent time in Antioch, teaching and preaching the good news of the word of the Lord, with many others also.

³⁷ But Barnabas desired to take along with them John called Mark. ³⁸ But Paul considered it fitting not to take along with them the one who withdrew from them in Pamphylia, and who had not gone together with them to the work. ³⁹ Therefore a sharp disagreement arose so that they were separated from one another. And Barnabas, taking along Mark, sailed to Cyprus.

¹ Then Paul, looking intently at the council, said, "Men, brothers, I have lived with all good conscience toward God until this day." ² But the high priest Ananias commanded those standing by him to strike his mouth. ³ Then Paul said to him, "God is about to strike you, you whitewashed wall! For you sit judging me according to the law, and contrary to the law do you command that I should be struck?" ⁴ But those standing by said, "Do you revile the high priest of God?" ⁵ Then Paul said, "I did not know, brothers, that he is the high priest; for it is written, 'You shall not speak wickedly of a ruler of your people.' "

¹⁶ Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.

⁵ For I consider myself in nothing to have been inferior to the most super apostles.

²¹ To our shame, I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold (I speak foolishly) I am bold also. ²² Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I. ²³ Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am even more: in labors far more, in beatings immeasurably, in imprisonments far more, in deaths often. ²⁴ By the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. ²⁵ Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have spent in the depth of the sea. ²⁶ In journeys often, in dangers of rivers, in dangers of robbers, in dangers from my own race, in dangers from the Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers in the sea, in dangers among false brothers; ²⁷ in labor and hardship, in sleepless nights often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness-- ²⁸ apart from what I leave unmentioned, what comes against me daily: the anxiety for all the churches.

¹¹ I have become a fool in boasting; you have compelled me! For I ought to have been commended by you; for in nothing have I been inferior to the super apostles, though I am nothing.

⁵ to whom not even for an hour did we yield in subjection, that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

⁷ but on the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter with the gospel for the circumcised,

⁹ and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace which was given to me, they gave me and Barnabas their right hands of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised;

¹⁴ But when I saw that they did not act rightly with respect to the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, "If you, being a Jew, live in Gentile fashion and not in Jewish fashion, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as Jews?

²⁰ Those who are sinning rebuke before all, that the rest also may have fear.

² For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a mature man, able also to bridle the whole body.

⁸ If we claim that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we claim that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

³ Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you about our common salvation, it became necessary to write to you exhorting you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
