³³ Now then I will remain a servant with you instead of the lad, a slave of my lord; but let the lad go up with his brothers.

³² And now if You will forgive their sin, forgive; and if not, blot me out of Your book, which You have written.

⁷ For scarcely on behalf of a righteous man will anyone die; yet on behalf of the good, perhaps someone might even dare to die. ⁸ But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Much more then, having been justified now by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. ¹⁰ For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

³ For I could wish that I myself to be accursed from Christ on behalf of my brothers, my countrymen according to the flesh,

²² by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.

¹⁶ By this we have come to know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives in behalf of our brothers.
