³¹ And Joseph said to his brothers, I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and will say to him, My brothers, and my father's house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.

¹⁶ And the report was carried into the house of Pharaoh, saying, Joseph's brothers have come; and Pharaoh was glad, and his household. ¹⁷ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Say to your brothers, Do this; fill your wagons, and depart into the land of Canaan. ¹⁸ And take up your father, and your possessions, and come to me; and I will give you of all the goods of Egypt, and you shall eat the fat of the land. ¹⁹ And do charge them thusly: that they should take for themselves wagons out of the land of Egypt, for your little ones, and for your wives; and take up your father, and come. ²⁰ And be not sparing in regard to your property, for all the best of Egypt shall be yours.

¹ And Joseph came and told Pharaoh, saying, My father, my brothers, their cattle, their oxen, and all their possessions have come out of the land of Canaan, and behold, they are in the land of Goshen. ² And he took five men from among his brothers, and set them before Pharaoh. ³ And Pharaoh said to Joseph's brothers, What is your occupation? And they said to Pharaoh, Your servants are shepherds, both we and our father.

³ and because he was of the same trade, he remained with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.
