² Assemble yourselves, that I may tell you what shall happen to you in the last days. Gather yourselves together, and hear me, sons of Jacob; hear Israel, hear your father.

¹¹ Come, you children, hear me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

⁸ Hear, my son, the instruction of your father, and reject not the rules of your mother. ⁹ For you shall receive a crown of grace for your head, and a chain of gold around your neck.

¹ Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding. ² For I give you a good gift; forsake not my law. ³ For I also was a son obedient to my father, and loved in the sight of my mother: ⁴ who spoke and instructed me, saying, Let our speech be fixed in your heart, keep our commandments, forget them not:

¹ My son, attend to my wisdom, and incline your ear to my words;

²⁰ My son, keep the laws of your father, and do not reject the ordinances of your mother:

¹ My son, keep my words, and hide my commandments with you. ^(7:2) My son, honor the Lord, and you shall be strong; and fear none but Him.

²⁴ Now then my son, listen to me, and attend to the words of my mouth.

³² Now then, my son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall listen to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;

²² Listen, my son, to your father which begot you, and despise not your mother because she has grown old.

²⁶ My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways.
