¹ Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus Christ, ² who is faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house. ³ For this One has been counted worthy of more honor than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house. ⁴ For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God. ⁵ And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of the things which would be spoken, ⁶ but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the boast of hope firm until the end. ⁷ Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you will hear His voice, ⁸ Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, ⁹ Where your fathers tested Me, they tried Me, and saw My works forty years. ¹⁰ Therefore I was indignant with that generation, and said, 'They go astray in their heart; and they did not know My ways.' ¹¹ So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest.' " ¹² Take heed, brothers, lest there be in anyone of you a wicked heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; ¹³ but encourage yourselves every day, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. ¹⁴ For we have become partakers of Christ, if indeed we hold fast the beginning of the assurance firm until the end, ¹⁵ while it is said: "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." ¹⁶ For some, having heard, did provoke: but not all who came out of Egypt through Moses. ¹⁷ And with whom was He indignant forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness? ¹⁸ And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, except to those who disobeyed? ¹⁹ And we see that they were not able to enter on account of unbelief.

Moreover we saw the sons of the giants there. ²⁹ And I said to you, Fear not, neither be afraid of them; ³⁰ the Lord your God, who goes before your face, He shall fight against them together with you effectually, according to all that He did for you in the land of Egypt; ³¹ and in this wilderness which you saw, by the way of the mountain of the Amorite; how the Lord your God will bear you like a son, as if any man should carry his son, through all the way which you have gone, until you came to this place. ³² And in this matter you believed not the Lord our God,

The zeal of the Lord of hosts shall perform this.

³ You therefore, son of man, prepare yourself baggage for going into captivity by day in their sight; and you shall be led into captivity from your place into another place in their sight; that they may see that they are a provoking house.

²⁸ and has turned away from all his ungodliness which he has committed: he shall surely live, he shall not die.

³⁶ For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: 'The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet." '

⁹ But take heed to yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be flogged in the synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them.

²³ But you take heed! See, I have foretold to you all things.

¹⁶ He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that does not believe shall be condemned.

⁸ And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them.

³ As His divine power has granted to us all things pertaining to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, ⁴ through which have been given to us precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through these we may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. ⁵ But also for this very reason, making every effort, provide with your faith virtue, and with virtue knowledge, ⁶ and with knowledge self-control, and with self-control perseverance, and with perseverance godliness, ⁷ and with godliness brotherly love, and with brotherly love, love. ⁸ For if these things belong to you and are increasing, it makes you neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ For he who lacks these things is blind, being shortsighted, having forgotten the cleansing of his past sins. ¹⁰ Therefore, brothers, be even more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for by doing these things you shall by no means stumble at any time.

²¹ for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being brought along by the Holy Spirit.

³ that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, in order that you also may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ He that believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; he that does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony which God has testified concerning His Son.

²⁵ Only hold fast what you have till I come.

¹¹ I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no man may take your crown.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door and I am knocking. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and I will dine with him, and he with Me.

¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, and elect, and faithful."

²⁰ "Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her!"
