¹⁶ Therefore thus says the Lord, even the Lord, Behold, I lay for the foundations of Zion a costly stone, a choice cornerstone and precious, for its foundations; and he that believes on Him shall by no means be ashamed.

¹⁰ A ruler shall not fail from Judah, nor a prince from his loins, until there come the things stored up for him; and He is the expectation of nations.

²⁴ But their bow and arrows were mightily consumed, and the sinews of their arms were slackened by the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob; this is he that strengthened Israel from the God of your father;

⁷ He shall not be afraid of any evil report; his heart is ready to trust in the Lord. ⁸ His heart is established, he shall not fear, till he shall see his desire upon his enemies.

²² The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.

¹⁴ And if you shall trust in Him, He shall be to you for a sanctuary; and you shall not come against Him as against a stumbling stone, neither as against the falling of a rock; but the houses of Jacob are in a snare, and those who dwell in Jerusalem are in a pit. ¹⁵ Therefore many among them shall be weak and fall, and be crushed; and they shall draw near, and men shall be taken securely.

¹⁸ And the Lord will again wait, that He may pity you, and will therefore be exalted that He may have mercy upon you; because the Lord your God is a Judge; blessed are they that wait on Him.

³ For the vision is yet for a time, and it shall shoot forth at the end, and not in vain: though he should tarry, wait for him; for he will surely come, and will not tarry. ⁴ If he should draw back, My soul has no pleasure in him: but the just shall live by My faith.

^{9 (3:10)} For as for the stone which I have set before the face of Joshua, on the one stone are seven eyes: behold, I am digging a trench, says the Lord Almighty, and I will search out all the iniquity of that land in one day.

⁴² Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: 'The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the LORD's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?

¹⁰ Have you not even read this Scripture: 'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.

¹⁷ Then He looked at them and said, "What then is this which is written: 'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone'? ¹⁸ "Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."

¹¹ This is the 'stone which was rejected by you, the builders, which became the chief cornerstone.' ¹² Nor is there salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven which has been given among men by which we must be saved."

³³ Just as it is written: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offense, and everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame."

¹¹ For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him shall not be put to shame."

¹¹ For no other foundation can anyone lay, other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,

⁷ Therefore be patient, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer awaits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient for it, until it receives the early and late rain. ⁸ You also be patient. Establish your hearts, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near.

⁶ For it is also contained in the Scripture, "Behold, I place in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen, precious, and he who believes on Him shall by no means be put to shame." ⁷ Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, "The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone," ⁸ and "a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense." They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.
