² and He has made my mouth as a sharp sword, and He has hid me under the shadow of His hand; He has made me as a choice shaft, and He has hid me in His quiver;

² You are more beautiful than the sons of men; grace has been shed forth on Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever. ³ Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, in Your comeliness, and in Your beauty; ⁴ and bend Your bow, and prosper, and reign, because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and Your right hand shall guide You wonderfully. ⁵ Your weapons are sharpened, O Mighty One, (the nations shall fall under You) they are in the heart of the king's enemies.

⁴ but He shall judge the cause of the lowly, and shall reprove the lowly of the earth; and He shall smite the earth with the word of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips shall He destroy the ungodly one.

¹ Jacob is My servant, I will help him; Israel is My elect, My soul has accepted him; I have put My Spirit upon him; he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

⁴ The Lord, even God, gives me the tongue of instruction, to know when it is fit to speak a word; He has appointed for me early, He has given me an ear to hear;

¹⁶ I will put My words into your mouth, and I will shelter you under the shadow of My hand, with which I fixed the sky, and founded the earth; and the Lord shall say to Zion, You are My people.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me; He has sent Me to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind; ² to declare the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of recompense; to comfort all that mourn; ³ that there should be given to them that mourn in Zion glory instead of ashes, the oil of joy to the mourners, the garment of glory for the spirit of heaviness; and they shall be called generations of righteousness, the planting of the Lord for glory.

¹⁸ Behold, I have made you this day as a strong city, and as a bronze wall, strong against all the kings of Judah and its princes, and the people of the land.

¹⁹ Therefore thus says the Lord: If you will return, then will I restore you, and you shall stand before My face. And if you will bring forth the precious from the worthless, you shall be as My mouth; and they shall return to you; but you shall not return to them. ²⁰ And I will make you to this people as a strong bronze wall; and they shall fight against you, but they shall by no means prevail against you.

⁵ Therefore have I mown down your prophets; I have slain them with the word of My mouth; and My judgment shall go forth as the light.

⁴⁶ And Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, "Father, 'into Your hands I will commit My spirit.' " And after He said these things, He expired.

¹² For the word of God is living and effectual, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

¹⁶ He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth proceeded a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was as the sun shining in its strength.
