⁷ Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallom your father's brother is coming to you, saying, Buy my field that is in Anathoth: for you have the right of redemption, to buy it.

²³ And the land shall not be sold for a permanence; for the land is Mine, because you are strangers and sojourners before Me.

²⁵ And if your brother who is with you is poor, and should have sold part of his possession, and his kinsman who is near to him come, then he shall redeem the possession which his brother has sold.

³⁴ And the lands set apart for their cities shall not be sold, because this is their perpetual possession.

⁴⁹ A brother of his father, or a son of his father's brother shall redeem him; or let one of his near kin of his tribe redeem him, and if he should be rich and redeem himself,

² Give orders to the children of Israel, and they shall give to the Levites cities to dwell in from the lot of their possession, and they shall give to the Levites the suburbs of the cities round about them.

¹⁸ and Anathoth and its suburbs; and Gamala and its suburbs; four cities. ¹⁹ All the cities of the sons of Aaron the priests were thirteen.

³ And Boaz said to the relative, The matter regards the portion of the field which was our brother Elimelech's which was given to Naomi, now returning out of the land of Moab. ⁴ And I said, I will inform you, saying, Buy it before those that sit, and before the elders of my people: if you will redeem it, redeem it, but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, and I shall know; for there is no one beside you to redeem it, and I am after you. And he said, I am here, I will redeem it. ⁵ And Boaz said, On the day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi and of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the deceased, you must also buy her, so as to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance. ⁶ And the kinsman said, I shall not be able to redeem it for myself, lest I ruin my own inheritance; you redeem my right for yourself, for I shall not be able to redeem it. ⁷ And this was in former time the ordinance in Israel for redemption, and for a bargain, to confirm every word: A man loosed his shoe, and gave it to his neighbor that redeemed his right; and this was for a testimony in Israel. ⁸ And the kinsman said to Boaz, Buy my right for yourself. And he took off his shoe and gave it to him. ⁹ And Boaz said to the elders and to all the people, You are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that belonged to Chilion and Mahlon, from the hand of Naomi.

¹ The word of God which came to Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who dwelt in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:

²¹ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the men of Anathoth, that seek my life, that say, You shall not prophesy at all in the name of the Lord, but if you do, you shall die by our hands.

² and He said to them, "Go into the village opposite you; and immediately entering into it you will find a colt tied up on which no one has sat. When you have untied him, bring him. ³ And if anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, 'The Lord has need of him,' and immediately he will send it here." ⁴ And they departed, and found the colt tied up by the door outside in the street, and they untied him. ⁵ But some of those standing there said to them, "What are you doing, loosing the colt?" ⁶ And they told them just as Jesus had commanded. And they gave them permission.

¹³ And He sent two of His disciples and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. ¹⁴ And wherever he may enter, say to the master of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?" ' ¹⁵ "Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and ready; there prepare for us." ¹⁶ So His disciples went away, and came into the city, and found it just as He had said to them; and they prepared the Passover.
