⁴ Him the dies of Baasha in the city the dogs shall devour, and him that dies in the field the birds of the sky shall devour.

²³ And the Lord spoke of Jezebel, saying, The dogs shall devour her within the walls of Jezreel. ²⁴ Him that is dead of Ahab in the city shall the dogs eat, and him that dies in the field of Ahab shall the birds of the sky eat.

³⁴ And Jehu went in and ate and drank, and said, Look after this cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king's daughter. ³⁵ And they went to bury her; but they found no more of her but the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands. ³⁶ And they returned and told him. And he said, It is the word of the Lord, which He spoke by the hand of Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall the dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel. ³⁷ And the carcass of Jezebel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel, so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

³⁰ And what will you do? Though you clothe yourself with scarlet, and adorn yourself with golden ornaments; though you adorn your eyes with paint, your beauty shall be in vain. Your lovers have rejected you, they seek your life.

³³ And the dead bodies of this people shall be for food to the birds of the sky, and to the wild beasts of the earth; and there shall be none to drive them away.

²¹ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the men of Anathoth, that seek my life, that say, You shall not prophesy at all in the name of the Lord, but if you do, you shall die by our hands.

⁴ They shall die a grievous death. They shall not be lamented over, nor buried; they shall be for an example on the face of the earth; and they shall be for the wild beasts of the land, and for the birds of the sky. They shall fall by the sword, and shall be consumed with famine.

⁷ And I will destroy the counsel of Judah and the counsel of Jerusalem in this place; and I will cast them down with the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives. And I will give their dead bodies for food to the birds of the sky, and to the wild beasts of the earth.

⁷ And after this, thus says the Lord; I will give Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people that are left in this city from the pestilence, and from the famine, and from the sword, into the hands of their enemies that seek their lives, and they shall cut them in pieces with the edge of the sword. I will not spare them, and I will not have compassion upon them.

²⁵ and I will deliver you into the hands of them that seek you life, before whom you are afraid, into the hands of the Chaldeans.

¹⁶ And the king swore to him, saying, As the Lord lives who gave us this soul, I will not slay you, neither will I give you into the hands of these men.

³⁰ Thus said the Lord: Behold, I will give Hophra king of Egypt into the hands of his enemy, and into the hands of one that seeks his life, as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and who sought his life.

³⁷ And I will put them in fear before their enemies that seek their life; and I will bring evils upon them according to My great anger; and I will send forth My sword after them, until I have utterly destroyed them.

⁵ and I will quickly cast you down, and all the fish of your river. You shall fall on the face of the plain, and shall by no means be gathered, and shall not be brought together; I have given you for food to the wild beasts of the earth and to the fowls of the sky.

⁴ and I will stretch you upon the earth. The fields shall be covered with you, and I will cause all the birds of the sky to settle upon you, and I will fill with you all the wild beasts of the earth.

¹⁷ And you, son of man, say, Thus says the Lord: Say to every winged bird, and to all the wild beasts of the field, Gather yourselves, and come; gather yourselves from all places round about to My sacrifice, which I have made for you, even a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh, and drink blood. ¹⁸ You shall eat the flesh of mighty men, and you shall drink the blood of princes of the earth, rams, and calves and goats, and they are all fatted calves. ¹⁹ And you shall eat fat till you are full, and shall drink wine till you are drunk, of My sacrifice which I have prepared for you. ²⁰ And you shall be filled at My table, eating horse and rider, and mighty man, and every warrior, says the Lord.

¹⁷ Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather together for the great supper of God, ¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who ride on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great." ¹⁹ And I saw the Beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, having been gathered together to make war against Him who rode on the horse and against His army. ²⁰ Then the Beast was apprehended, and with him the False Prophet who had performed the signs before him, by which he had deceived those who received the mark of the Beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest were slain with the sword which proceeds from the mouth of Him who rode on the horse. And all the birds gorged themselves with their flesh.
