³² And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself."

²² And if there be sin in anyone, and the judgment of death be upon him, and he be put to death, and you hang him on a tree; ²³ his body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but you shall by all means bury it in that day; for everyone that is hanged on a tree is cursed of God; and you shall by no means defile the land which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance.

⁹ And Absalom went to meet the servants of David. And Absalom was mounted on his mule, and the mule came under the thick boughs of a great oak; and his head was entangled in the oak, and he was suspended between heaven and earth; and the mule passed on from under him.

¹⁶ For many dogs have compassed Me; the assembly of the evildoers has enclosed Me; they pierced My hands and My feet. ¹⁷ They counted all My bones; and they observed and looked upon Me. ¹⁸ They parted My garments among themselves, and cast lots for My clothing.

⁴ When men were destroyed, I drew them with the bands of My love: and I will be to them as a man smiting another on his cheek: and I will have regard for him, and I will prevail with him.

⁷ This man came for a testimony, so that he might testify concerning the Light, so that all through him might believe.

¹⁴ And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

⁴⁴ No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me should draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

²⁸ Therefore Jesus said to them, "When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM, and from Myself I do nothing; but just as My Father taught Me, these things I speak.

³⁴ The crowd answered Him, "We heard from the law that the Christ abides forever; and so how do You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man?"

¹⁷ And bearing His cross, He went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha,

⁶ who gave Himself a ransom for all, the testimony in due time;

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, through the suffering of death, having been crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God, He might taste death for everyone.

²⁴ who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, in order that having died to sins, we might live unto righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered once to atone for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring you to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit,

² And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only concerning ours, but also concerning those of the whole world.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; because You were slain, and You redeemed us to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and language and people and nation;
