⁵ "But now I am going to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?'

⁶² What then if you should see the Son of Man ascending where He was before?

³³ Then Jesus said, "Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go to Him who sent Me.

³ Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God,

³⁶ Simon Peter said to Him, "Lord, where are You going?" Jesus answered him, "Where I am going you cannot follow Me now, but later you will follow Me."

⁴ And where I am going you know, and the way you know." ⁵ Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" ⁶ Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

²⁸ You have heard that I said to you, 'I am going away and coming back to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced that I said, 'I am going to the Father,' for My Father is greater than I.

¹⁰ of righteousness, because I am going to My Father and you see Me no more;

¹⁶ "A little while and you will not see Me; and again a little while and you will see Me, because I am going to the Father."

²⁸ I came forth from the Father and I have come into the world. Again, I am leaving the world and I am going to the Father."

⁴ I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

¹³ But now I am coming to You, and these things I speak in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves.

⁷ But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of the free gift of Christ. ⁸ Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men." ⁹ But that "He ascended"--what it is but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended, He is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things. ¹¹ And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

³ who being the effulgence of His glory and the exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

² looking unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
