¹ On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. ² Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him." ³ Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb. ⁴ And the two together were running, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. ⁵ And stooping to look in, he saw the linen strips lying there; however he did not go in. ⁶ Then Simon Peter came, following him, and entered into the tomb; and he saw the linen strips lying there, ⁷ and the facecloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen strips, but apart from them, having been rolled up in one place. ⁸ Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed. ⁹ For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. ¹⁰ Then the disciples went away again to their own homes. ¹¹ But Mary stood outside facing the tomb weeping. Therefore as she was weeping, she stooped down and looked into the tomb. ¹² And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. ¹³ Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they put Him." ¹⁴ And having said these things, she turned back and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. ¹⁵ Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?" She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You carried Him away, tell me where You put Him, and I will take Him away." ¹⁶ Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher). ¹⁷ Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.' " ¹⁸ Mary Magdalene went reporting to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her. ¹⁹ Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace to you." ²⁰ And having said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. ²¹ Therefore Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! Just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you." ²² And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. ²³ If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained." ²⁴ But Thomas, one of the twelve, the one called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. ²⁵ The other disciples therefore said to him, "We have seen the Lord." So he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will by no means believe." ²⁶ And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been closed, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!" ²⁷ Then He said to Thomas, "Bring your finger here, and see My hands; and bring your hand here, and put it into My side. Be not unbelieving, but believing." ²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!" ²⁹ Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." ³⁰ And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; ³¹ but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.

⁶⁰ and placed it in his new tomb which he had cut in the rock; and having rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, he departed.

⁶⁴ "Therefore command that the grave be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him, and say to the people, 'He was raised from the dead.' So the last deception will be worse than the first."

⁴⁶ And having bought linen cloth, and having taken Him down, he wrapped Him in the linen cloth and set Him down in a tomb which had been cut out of a rock, and rolled a stone upon the door of the tomb.

¹ Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him. ² And very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. ³ And they said to one another, "Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?" ⁴ And having looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away--for it was exceedingly large. ⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right clothed with a white robe, and they were alarmed.

⁹ Now having arisen early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons.

¹ And on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. ² But they found the stone having been rolled away from the tomb. ³ And going in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. ⁴ And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. ⁵ Then, as they became afraid and bowed their faces to the ground, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? ⁶ He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, ⁷ saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.' " ⁸ And they remembered His words. ⁹ And returning from the tomb, they reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. ¹⁰ It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the rest with them, who told these things to the apostles.

²⁵ Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

¹⁸ Mary Magdalene went reporting to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her. ¹⁹ Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace to you."

²⁶ And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been closed, and stood in the midst, and said, "Peace to you!"

⁷ Now on the first day of the week, the disciples being assembled to break bread, Paul was discussing with them, being about to leave on the next day, and extended his message until midnight.

² On the first day of the week let each one of you put something aside, storing up whatever he may prosper, in order that there be no collections when I come.

¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard a loud voice like a trumpet behind me,

⁶³ saying, "Sir, we remember that that deceiver said while He was still alive, 'After three days I will rise.' ⁶⁴ "Therefore command that the grave be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him, and say to the people, 'He was raised from the dead.' So the last deception will be worse than the first."

²³ Now there was reclining on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, the one whom Jesus loved.

²⁶ Therefore Jesus, seeing His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, "Woman, behold your son!"

⁹ For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead.

¹³ Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they put Him."

¹⁵ Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?" She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You carried Him away, tell me where You put Him, and I will take Him away."

⁷ Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and he threw himself into the sea.

²⁰ Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had reclined on His chest at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"

²⁴ This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.

¹² But Peter rose up and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen strips lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened.

³⁰ then the priest shall look on the plague, and behold, if the appearance of it is beneath the skin, and in it there is thin yellowish hair, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a scurf, it is leprosy of the head, or leprosy of the beard.

²³ And he said, Why should I not run? And Joab said to him, Run. And Ahimaaz ran along the way of Kechar, and outran Hushai.

²⁴ Do you not know that those running in a stadium all run, but one receives the prize? So run, in order that you may win.

¹² For if there is first a readiness, it is acceptable according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

⁴⁴ And the one having died came out, bound hands and feet with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped in a handkerchief. Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let him go."

⁴⁰ Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in linen strips with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.

¹¹ But Mary stood outside facing the tomb weeping. Therefore as she was weeping, she stooped down and looked into the tomb.

¹⁵ He said to them, "But who do you pronounce Me to be?" ¹⁶ And Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

³¹ And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon! Behold, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. ³² But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."

⁶⁷ Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?" ⁶⁸ But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. ⁶⁹ Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

¹⁷ Then the servant girl who kept the door said to Peter, "You are not also one of this Man's disciples, are you?" He said, "I am not."

²⁵ Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. Therefore they said to him, "You are not also one of His disciples, are you?" Then he denied it and said, "I am not!" ²⁶ One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off, said, "Did I not see you in the garden with Him?" ²⁷ Peter then denied again; and immediately a rooster crowed.

¹⁵ So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I care for You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs." ¹⁶ He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I care for You." He said to him, "Shepherd My sheep." ¹⁷ He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you care for Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you care for Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I care for You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.

⁵⁰ Jesus answered and said to him, "Because I said to you, 'I saw you under the fig tree,' do you believe? You will see greater things than these."

⁴ And the two together were running, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.

²⁵ The other disciples therefore said to him, "We have seen the Lord." So he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will by no means believe."

²⁹ Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

¹⁰ because You will not leave my soul in Hades, neither will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue is glued to My throat; and You have brought Me down to the dust of death.

²² I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the church will I sing praise to You. ²³ You that fear the Lord, praise Him; all you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him; let all the seed of Israel fear Him. ²⁴ For He has not despised nor been angry at the supplication of the poor; nor turned away His face from Me; but when I cried to Him, He heard Me. ²⁵ My praise is of You in the great congregation; I will pay My vows before them that fear Him. ²⁶ The poor shall eat and be satisfied; and they shall praise the Lord that seek Him; their heart shall live forever. ²⁷ All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before Him. ²⁸ For the kingdom is the Lord's; and He is the governor of the nations. ²⁹ All the fat ones of the earth have eaten and worshipped; all that go down to the earth shall fall down before Him; my soul also lives to him. ³⁰ And my seed shall serve him; the generation that is coming shall be reported to the Lord. ³¹ And they shall report His righteousness to the people that shall be born, whom the Lord has made.

⁸ Death has prevailed and swallowed men up; but again the Lord God has taken away every tear from every face. He has taken away the reproach of His people from all the earth; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.

¹⁹ The dead shall rise, and they that are in the tombs shall be raised, and they that are in the earth shall rejoice; for the dew from You is healing to them; but the land of the ungodly shall perish.

¹⁰ The Lord also is pleased to purge Him from His stroke. If you give an offering for sin, Your soul shall see a long-lived seed; ¹¹ the Lord also is pleased to take away from the travail of His soul, to show Him light, and to form Him with understanding; to justify the just one who serves many well; and He shall bear their sins. ¹² Therefore He shall inherit many, and He shall divide the spoils of the mighty; because His soul was delivered to death; and He was numbered among the transgressors; and He bore the sins of many, and was delivered up because of their transgressions.

¹⁴ I will deliver them out of the power of Hades, and will redeem them from death. O death, where is your punishment? O Hades, where is your sting? Comfort is hidden from My eyes.

²¹ From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go off to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and to be killed, and to be raised the third day. ²² And taking Him aside, Peter began to rebuke Him, saying, "God be gracious to You, Lord! This shall by no means happen to You!"

²⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, "You err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

³¹ And He began to teach them that it was necessary for the Son of Man to suffer many things, and to be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and to be killed, and after three days to rise. ³² He was speaking this word with boldness. And Peter, taking Him aside, began to rebuke Him. ³³ But when He had turned and saw His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, "Get behind Me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

⁹ And as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they should relate to no one the things they had seen, till the Son of Man should rise from the dead. ¹⁰ And this word they kept to themselves, questioning what it meant to rise from the dead.

³¹ For He was teaching His disciples and said to them, "The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise on the third day." ³² But they did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him.

⁴⁵ But they did not understand this saying, and it was concealed from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying.

³³ and having scourged Him, they will kill Him. And on the third day He will rise again." ³⁴ But they understood none of these things; this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know what was being said.

²⁶ Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?"

⁴⁴ Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me." ⁴⁵ And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. ⁴⁶ Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

²² Therefore, when He was raised up from among the dead, His disciples remembered that He spoke this thing, and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.

²⁵ For David says concerning Him, "I foresaw the Lord always before Me, because He is at My right hand, that I may not be shaken. ²⁶ Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; moreover my flesh also will dwell in hope. ²⁷ Because You will not abandon my soul in Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. ²⁸ You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me full of joy in Your presence." ²⁹ "Men, brothers, let me speak with boldness to you about the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. ³⁰ "Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to seat Him on his throne, ³¹ foreseeing this, he spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, "that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption." ³² "This Jesus God has raised up, of which we all are witnesses."

²⁹ And when they finished all the things having been written about Him, taking Him down from the tree, they put Him in a tomb. ³⁰ But God raised Him from the dead; ³¹ who appeared for many days more to those going up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people. ³² And we proclaim to you the good news of the promise which was made to the fathers, ³³ that God has fulfilled this promise for us to their children, when He raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm: 'You are My Son, today I have begotten You.' ³⁴ "And that He raised Him from the dead, no longer being about to return to corruption, thus He has said: 'I will give you the sure decrees of God concerning David.' ³⁵ "Therefore also in another Psalm He says, 'You will not allow Your Holy One to see corruption.' ³⁶ "For David indeed in his own generation, having served by the purpose of God, died, and was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption; ³⁷ but He whom God raised up did not see corruption.

⁴ and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

⁵³ And everyone went to his own house.

³² Indeed a time is coming, and now has come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and you will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

⁵ And stooping to look in, he saw the linen strips lying there; however he did not go in.

¹² that all the singing Levites assigned to the sons of Asaph, to Heman, to Jeduthun, and to his sons, and to his brethren, of them that were clothed in linen garments, with cymbals and lutes and harps, were standing before the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests, blowing trumpets.

⁹ I beheld until the thrones were set, and the Ancient of Days sat; and His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head as pure wool; His throne was a flame of fire, and His wheels burning fire.

² and He was transfigured before them, and His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.

² And behold, a great earthquake occurred; for an angel of the Lord, having come down out of heaven, came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. ³ And His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. ⁴ And the guards were shaken for fear of him, and became like dead men. ⁵ But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right clothed with a white robe, and they were alarmed. ⁶ But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You are seeking Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has arisen! He is not here! See the place where they put Him.

³ And going in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. ⁴ And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. ⁵ Then, as they became afraid and bowed their faces to the ground, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? ⁶ He is not here, but is risen! ²² Moreover certain women of our group astonished us, after they arrived early at the tomb. ²³ And not finding His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive.

¹⁰ And while they looked intently into heaven, while He was going, behold, two men stood along side them in white apparel,

⁴ You have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.

¹⁴ And I said to him, "My lord, you know." So he said to me, "These are those who come out of the Great Tribulation, and have washed their robes and they made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

⁸ And Elkanah her husband said to her, Anna; and she said to him, Here am I, my lord. And he said to her, What ails you that you weep? And why do you not eat? And why does your heart smite you? Am I not better to you than ten children?

³ Send forth Your light and Your truth; they have led me, and brought me to Your holy mountain, and to Your tabernacle. ⁴ And I will go in to the altar of God, to God who gladdens my youth; I will give thanks to You on the harp, O God, my God. ⁵ Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you trouble me? Hope in God; for I will give thanks to Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

⁴ a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to lament, and a time to dance;

¹⁶ Thus says the Lord: Let your voice cease from weeping, and your eyes from your tears; for your work shall be rewarded, and they shall return from the land of your enemies.

¹⁷ And He said to them, "What are these words which you are exchanging with one another as you walk, and you have a gloomy look?"

⁴ Jesus said to her, "Woman, what have I to do with you? My hour has not yet come."

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ²⁸ You have heard that I said to you, 'I am going away and coming back to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced that I said, 'I am going to the Father,' for My Father is greater than I.

⁶ "But because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. ⁷ Nevertheless I speak the truth to you. It is profitable for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

²⁰ Most assuredly I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be grieved, but your grief will be turned into joy. ²¹ A woman, whenever she gives birth, has sorrow, because her hour has come; but whenever the child is born, she no longer remembers the anguish, on account of the joy that a human being has been born into the world. ²² Therefore you also now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.

² Therefore she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him."

¹³ Then Paul answered, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, in behalf of the name of the Lord Jesus."

³ The watchmen who go their rounds in the city found me. I said, Have you seen him whom my soul loves? ⁴ It was as a little while after I parted from them, that I found him whom my soul loves: I held him, and did not let him go, until I brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.

⁹ And as they were going to report to His disciples, that behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held His feet and worshipped Him.

¹² After that, He appeared in a different form to two of them as they were going into the country.

³⁰ But having passed through the midst of them, He went on.

¹⁶ But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not recognize Him.

³¹ Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight.

⁵⁹ Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, having gone through their midst, and so passed by.

⁴ But as daybreak had already come, Jesus stood upon the shore; however the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

¹⁶ Count not your maidservant for a wicked woman, for by reason of the abundance of my complaint I have continued my prayer until now.

² I will rise now, and go about in the city, in the market places, and in the streets, and I will seek him whom my soul loves: I sought him, but I found him not.

^{1 (5:17)} Where has your kinsman gone, O fairest among women? Where has your kinsman turned aside? Tell us, and we will seek him with you.

³⁴ Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

⁵ But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

⁶ But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You are seeking Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has arisen! He is not here! See the place where they put Him.

⁵ Then, as they became afraid and bowed their faces to the ground, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead?

³⁸ Then Jesus turned and observed them following, and said to them, "What are you seeking?" They said to Him, "Rabbi" (which is translated, Teacher), "where are You staying?"

⁴ Jesus therefore, knowing all things coming upon Him, went out and said to them, "Whom do you seek?"

⁷ Then He asked them again, "Whom do you seek?" And they said, "Jesus the Nazarene."

¹ And it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, Abraham, Abraham; and he said, Behold! I am here.

¹¹ But the Angel of the Lord called to him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham. And he said, Behold, I am here.

¹² Behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaks to you.

⁴ And when the Lord saw that he drew near to see, the Lord called him out of the bush, saying, Moses, Moses. And he said, What is it?

¹⁷ And the Lord said to Moses, I will also do for you this thing which you have spoken; for you have found grace before Me, and I know you above all.

⁶ And the Lord called again, Samuel, Samuel; and he went to Eli the second time, and said, Behold here am I, for you called me. And he said, I did not call you; return, go to sleep.

¹⁰ And the Lord came, and stood, and called him as before. And Samuel said, Speak, for Your servant hears.

⁸ The voice of my kinsman! Behold, he comes leaping over the mountains, bounding over the hills. ⁹ My kinsman is like a gazelle or a young hart on the mountains of Bethel: behold, he is behind our wall, looking through the windows, peeping through the lattices. ¹⁰ My kinsman answers, and says to me, Rise up, come, my companion, my fair one, my dove. ¹¹ For behold, the winter is past, the rain is gone, it has departed. ¹² The flowers are seen in the land; the time of pruning has arrived; the voice of the turtle dove has been heard in our land. ¹³ The fig tree has put forth its young figs, the vines put forth the tender grape, they yield a smell: arise, come, my companion, my fair one, my dove; yea, come. ¹⁴ You are my dove, in the shelter of the rock, near the wall: show me your face, and cause me to hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your countenance is beautiful. ¹⁵ Take us the little foxes that spoil the vines: for our vines put forth tender grapes. ¹⁶ My kinsman is mine, and I am his: he feeds his flock among the lilies. ¹⁷ Until the day dawn, and the shadows depart, turn, my kinsman, be like to a gazelle or young hart on the mountains of the ravines.

⁴ It was as a little while after I parted from them, that I found him whom my soul loves: I held him, and did not let him go, until I brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.

² I sleep, but my heart is awake: the voice of my kinsman knocks at the door, saying, Open, open to me, my companion, my sister, my dove, my perfect one: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.

¹ And now thus says the Lord God that made you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel, Fear not; for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name; you are Mine.

²⁷ But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Have courage! It is I AM; do not fear."

⁷ and greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, 'Rabbi, Rabbi.' ⁸ "But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brothers. ⁹ Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. ¹⁰ Neither be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.

⁴¹ And Jesus answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!"

² This man came to Him by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."

² Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.

²⁵ And having found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, "Rabbi, when did You come here?"

³ To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and he leads them out.

²⁸ And when she had said these things, she went out and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, "The Teacher is here and is calling for you."

¹³ You call me Teacher and Lord, and you say correctly, for so I am.

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"

⁴ And falling on the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?"

³ About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming to him and saying to him, "Cornelius!"

⁷ And I will establish My covenant between you and your seed after you, to their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be your God, and the God of your seed after you. ⁸ And I will give to you and to your seed after you the land in which you sojourn, even all the land of Canaan for an everlasting possession, and I will be to them a God.

²⁹ And Elisha said to Gehazi, Gird up your loins, and take my staff in your hand, and go: if you meet any man, you shall not greet him, and if a man greet you, you shall not answer him; and you shall lay my staff on the child's face.

⁹ And one man said to his neighbor, We are not doing right; this day is a day of glad tidings, and we hold our peace, and are waiting till the morning light, and shall find mischief; now them come, and let us go into the city, and report to the house of the king.

²² I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the church will I sing praise to You.

⁴ And I will go in to the altar of God, to God who gladdens my youth; I will give thanks to You on the harp, O God, my God.

¹⁴ For this is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide forevermore.

¹⁸ You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive, You have received gifts among men, yea, for they were rebellious, that You might dwell among them.

²⁶ He shall call upon Me, saying, You are my Father, my God, and the helper of my salvation.

¹⁰ Fear not; for I am with you; wander not; for I am your God, who has strengthened you; and I have helped you, and have established you with My righteous right hand.

³³ For this is My covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: after those days, says the Lord, I will surely put My laws into their mind, and write them on their hearts. And I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people.

³⁸ and they shall be to Me a people, and I will be to them a God.

²⁸ And you shall dwell upon the land which I gave to your fathers; and you shall be to Me a people, and I will be to you a God.

²⁷ And My tabernacle shall be among them; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be My people.

⁷ Awake, O sword, against My shepherds, and against the man who is My citizen, says the Lord Almighty; strike the shepherds, and draw out the sheep: and I will bring My hand upon the little ones. ⁸ And it shall come to pass that in all the land, says the Lord, two-thirds in it shall be cut off and perish; but one-third shall be left in it. ⁹ And I will bring the third part through the fire, and I will try them as silver is tried, and I will prove them as gold is proved: they shall call upon My name, and I will hear them, and say, This is My people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother."

⁴⁰ "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.'

⁷ And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and behold, He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."

⁹ And as they were going to report to His disciples, that behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held His feet and worshipped Him. ¹⁰ Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go, report to My brothers that they should go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."

¹⁹ So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

⁴ Do not carry a money bag, nor a knapsack, nor sandals; and greet no one along the road.

⁴⁹ And behold, I am sending the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high." ⁵⁰ And He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up His hands, He blessed them. ⁵¹ And it happened, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

¹² But as many as received Him, He gave them the authority to become children of God, to those who believe in His name; ¹³ who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

³³ Then Jesus said, "Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go to Him who sent Me.

¹ Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

³ Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God,

² In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

⁶ Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

²⁸ You have heard that I said to you, 'I am going away and coming back to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced that I said, 'I am going to the Father,' for My Father is greater than I.

²⁸ I came forth from the Father and I have come into the world. Again, I am leaving the world and I am going to the Father."

⁵ And now, O Father, glorify Me alongside Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.

¹¹ And I am no longer in the world, yet these are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those which You have given Me, that they may be one just as We are.

²⁵ O righteous Father! Indeed the world did not know You, yet I knew You; and these knew that You sent Me.

²⁷ Then He said to Thomas, "Bring your finger here, and see My hands; and bring your hand here, and put it into My side. Be not unbelieving, but believing."

¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. ¹⁵ For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again unto fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." ¹⁶ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. ¹⁷ And if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer together, so that we may also be glorified together.

²⁹ Because whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers.

¹⁸ "I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty."

²⁶ For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!" ⁷ Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, also an heir of God through Christ.

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, ¹⁸ the eyes of your heart having been enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power ²⁰ which He worked in Christ, having raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, ²¹ above every ruler and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the coming age. ²² And He subjected all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, ²³ which is His body, the fullness of Him filling all things in all.

⁸ Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men." ⁹ But that "He ascended"--what it is but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended, He is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.

¹¹ For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers, ¹² saying: "I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing praise to You." ¹³ And again: "I will put My trust in Him." And again: "Behold I and the children to whom God has given Me."

¹⁰ For this is the covenant which I shall covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind, and I shall inscribe them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

¹⁶ But now they desire a better land, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

² Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.

³ And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them.

⁷ He that overcomes I shall give to him these things, and I shall be God to him, and he shall be to Me a son.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go, report to My brothers that they should go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."

¹⁰ She went and reported to those who had been with Him, as they were grieving and weeping. ¹¹ And those, when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they disbelieved. ¹² After that, He appeared in a different form to two of them as they were going into the country. ¹³ And those returned and reported it to the rest; but neither did they believe them.

¹⁰ It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the rest with them, who told these things to the apostles.

¹ On the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.

¹⁰ And I came into the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the Son of Mehetabel, and he was shut up; and he said, Let us assemble together in the house of God, in the midst of it, and let us shut the doors of it; for they are coming by night to slay you. ¹¹ And I said, Who is the man that shall enter into the house, that he may live?

⁸ I will hear what the Lord God will say concerning me; for He shall speak peace to His people, and to His saints, and to those that turn their heart toward Him. ⁹ Moreover His salvation is near to them that fear Him; that glory may dwell in our land. ¹⁰ Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

¹⁸ I have seen his ways, and healed him, and comforted him, and given him true comfort; ¹⁹ peace upon peace to them that are far off, and to them that are close by; and the Lord has said, I will heal them.

¹³ And if indeed the house should be worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it should not be worthy, let your peace return to you.

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."

¹⁴ Afterwards He appeared to the eleven as they were reclining at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who saw Him after He had been raised.

³⁶ Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, "Peace to you." ³⁷ But being alarmed and becoming fearful, they thought they saw a spirit. ³⁸ And He said to them, "Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? ³⁹ Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." ⁴⁰ When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. ⁴¹ But as they still disbelieved for joy, and marveled, He said to them, "Do you have any food here?" ⁴² So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. ⁴³ And taking it, He ate it in their presence. ⁴⁴ Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me." ⁴⁵ And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. ⁴⁶ Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, ⁴⁷ and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. ⁴⁸ And you are witnesses of these things. ⁴⁹ And behold, I am sending the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high."

¹³ However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews.

¹⁹ "Yet a little while and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. ²⁰ In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. ²¹ He that has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him." ²² Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, "Lord, and what has happened that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?" ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and we will make Our home with him.

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

²² Therefore you also now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.

³³ These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but have courage, I have overcome the world."

²¹ Therefore Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! Just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you."

³³ Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

⁵ and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

¹⁴ For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and who destroyed the dividing wall of separation,

²³ Peace to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

² Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.

² to whom also Abraham divided a tenth from all, first being interpreted "king of righteousness," and then also king of Salem, which is "king of peace,"

⁴ John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is, and who was, and who is coming, and from the seven-fold Spirit who is before His throne,

⁸ Death has prevailed and swallowed men up; but again the Lord God has taken away every tear from every face. He has taken away the reproach of His people from all the earth; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. ⁹ And in that day they shall say, behold our God in whom we have trusted, and He shall save us; this is the Lord; we have waited for Him, and we have exalted, and will rejoice in our salvation.

⁸ And going out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to report to His disciples.

³⁹ Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." ⁴⁰ When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. ⁴¹ But as they still disbelieved for joy, and marveled, He said to them, "Do you have any food here?"

²⁰ Most assuredly I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be grieved, but your grief will be turned into joy.

³⁴ But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have gazed upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life--

¹ Who is this that has come from Edom, with red garments from Bosor? Thus fair in his apparel, with mighty strength? I speak of righteousness and saving judgment. ² Why are your garments red, and your clothing as if fresh from a trodden winepress? ³ I am full of trodden grapes, and of the nations there is not a man with Me; and I trampled them in My fury, and dashed them to pieces as earth, and brought down their blood to the earth.

¹⁶ "Behold, I am sending you forth like sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

⁴⁰ "He that receives you receives Me, and he that receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. ¹⁹ Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

¹⁵ And He said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to all creation. ¹⁶ He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that does not believe shall be condemned. ¹⁷ And these signs shall accompany those who have believed: In My name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; ¹⁸ they shall pick up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it shall by no means hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall be well."

¹⁷ For God did not send His Son into the world so that He might condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

²⁰ Most assuredly I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me."

¹⁸ Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. ¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

¹⁹ Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace to you."

⁸ But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

² And the things which you have heard from me through many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be competent to teach others also.

¹ Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus Christ,

⁷ And God formed the man of the dust of the earth, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

⁴ The Divine Spirit is that which formed me, and the breath of the Almighty is that which teaches me.

⁶ By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

⁹ And He said to me, Prophesy to the wind; prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus says the Lord: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these dead, that they may live.

³⁹ (But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him were about to receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

¹⁶ And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, so that He may abide with you forever,

²⁶ "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me.

⁷ Nevertheless I speak the truth to you. It is profitable for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in different languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

³⁸ Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

⁸ Then Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders of Israel:

¹⁵ who, coming down, prayed concerning them in order that they might receive the Holy Spirit.

⁴⁷ Surely no one can forbid water, can he, that these should not be baptized who received the Holy Spirit just as we have?"

² he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit, having believed?" So they said to him, "We have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit."

² This only do I wish to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

¹⁹ And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on the earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on the earth will have been loosed in heaven."

¹⁸ Assuredly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.

⁵ And Jesus, seeing their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Child, your sins have been forgiven you." ⁶ And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, ⁷ Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who is able to forgive sins except God alone?" ⁸ And immediately, when Jesus recognized in His spirit that they were reasoning thus among themselves, He said to them, "Why are you reasoning these things in your hearts? ⁹ Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins have been forgiven,' or to say, 'Arise, take up your bed and walk'? ¹⁰ But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on the earth to forgive sins"--He said to the paralytic,

⁴³ To Him all the prophets bear witness, that through His name, everyone believing in Him shall receive forgiveness of sins."

³⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this Man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you, ³⁹ and from all things from which you could not (by the Law of Moses) be justified, by Him everyone that believes is justified.

⁴ in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

⁶ Sufficient to such a person is this punishment which was inflicted by the majority, ⁷ so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest somehow such a person be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. ⁸ Therefore I appeal to you to reaffirm your love towards him. ⁹ For to this end I also wrote, so that I might put you to the test, to see if you are obedient in all things. ¹⁰ And to whom you forgive anything, I also forgive; for if indeed I have forgiven anything, the one whom I have forgiven, I have done so for your sakes in the presence of Christ,

²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,

²⁰ of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I handed over to Satan so that they may be taught not to blaspheme.

³ Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, who was surnamed Thaddaeus;

⁶⁶ From this time many of His disciples turned back and no longer would walk with Him. ⁶⁷ Then Jesus said to the twelve, "Do you also want to go away?"

¹⁶ Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, "Let us also go, so that we may die with Him."

⁵ Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?"

² Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.

²⁵ not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, just as is the custom for some, but exhorting one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

¹⁶ And if I should call and He should not hear, I cannot believe that He has listened to my voice.

¹¹ And they forgot His benefits, and His miracles which He had shown them; ¹² the miracles which He did before their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the plain of Zoan. ¹³ He divided the sea, and led them through; He made the waters to stand as in a bottle. ¹⁴ And He guided them with a cloud by day, and all the night with a light of fire. ¹⁵ He split a rock in the wilderness, and made them drink as in a great deep. ¹⁶ And He brought water out of the rock, and caused waters to flow down as rivers. ¹⁷ And they sinned yet more against Him; they provoked the Most High in the wilderness. ¹⁸ And they tempted God in their hearts, in asking meat for the desire of their souls. ¹⁹ They spoke also against God, and said, Will God be able to prepare a table in the wilderness? ²⁰ Forasmuch as He struck the rock, and the waters flowed, and the torrents ran abundantly; will He be able also to give bread, or prepare a table for His people? ²¹ Therefore the Lord heard, and was provoked: and fire was kindled in Jacob, and wrath went up against Israel. ²² Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in His salvation.

³² In the midst of all this they sinned yet more, and believed not His miracles.

⁸ Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, according to the day of trial in the wilderness; ⁹ where your fathers tested Me, and tried Me, and saw My works. ¹⁰ Forty years was I grieved with this generation, and said, They do always err in their heart, and they have not known My ways.

²¹ They forgot God that saved them, who had done great deeds in Egypt; ²² wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome things at the Red Sea. ²³ So He said that He would have destroyed them, had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, to turn Him away from the fierceness of His anger, so that He should not destroy them. ²⁴ Moreover they despised the desirable land, and did not believe His word.

¹ Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him, they asked Him to show them a sign out of heaven. ² He answered and said to them, "When evening comes you say, 'Fine weather, for the sky is red'. ³ And in the morning, 'Today will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.' Hypocrites! Indeed you know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. ⁴ An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah." And leaving them behind He went away.

⁴² He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on Him.

¹¹ And those, when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they disbelieved.

²⁵ Then He said to them, "O you foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

³⁴ saying, "The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!" ³⁵ And they described the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread. ³⁶ Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, "Peace to you." ³⁷ But being alarmed and becoming fearful, they thought they saw a spirit. ³⁸ And He said to them, "Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?

⁴¹ He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which is translated, the Christ).

³⁰ Therefore they said to Him, "What sign will You do then, so that we may see it and believe You? What work do You perform?

¹⁴ And having said these things, she turned back and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. ¹⁵ Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom do you seek?" She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You carried Him away, tell me where You put Him, and I will take Him away." ¹⁶ Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher). ¹⁷ Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.' " ¹⁸ Mary Magdalene went reporting to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her. ¹⁹ Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace to you." ²⁰ And having said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you murdered by hanging upon a cross. ³¹ Him God has exalted to His right hand as Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. ³² And we are His witnesses of these words, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him."

⁴⁰ This Jesus God raised on the third day, and granted Him to become visible, ⁴¹ not to all the people, but to witnesses, who having been chosen beforehand by God, even to us, who ate together and drank together with Him after He arose from the dead.

⁵ and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. ⁶ Thereafter He appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, of whom the majority remain until now, but some have died. ⁷ Thereafter He appeared to James, then to all the apostles. ⁸ And last of all, as of one born out of due time, He appeared to me also.

¹² Take heed, brothers, lest there be in anyone of you a wicked heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;

¹⁸ And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, except to those who disobeyed?

³⁸ But the just shall live by faith, and if he withdraws, My soul has no pleasure in him." ³⁹ But we are not of those shrinking back to destruction, but of faith, to the saving of the soul.

¹² O Lord our God, give us peace, for You have rendered to us all things.

⁵ I am burned up; they that dwell in her shall cry, Let us make peace with Him, let us make peace;

¹⁰ shall the mountains depart, nor shall your hills be removed; so neither shall My mercy fail you, nor shall the covenant of your peace be at all removed; for the Lord who is gracious to you has spoken it.

¹ Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain in private;

²⁸ Now it came to pass, about eight days after these words, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray.

³⁸ But He is compassionate, and will forgive their sins, and will not destroy them; yea, He will frequently turn away His wrath, and will not kindle all His anger.

¹³ As a father pities his children, the Lord pities them that fear Him. ¹⁴ For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

¹⁷ Then Jesus answered and said, "O unfaithful and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me."

¹⁹ He answered him and said, "O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me."

⁴¹ Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here."

⁴⁰ When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.

²⁰ And having said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

²⁰ But the law came in alongside, so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace superabounded,

¹⁴ and the grace of our Lord superabounded with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Faithful is this word, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am first. ¹⁶ However, because of this I was shown mercy, so that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, as a pattern for those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have gazed upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life-- ² and the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and we declare to you the eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us--

⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of Your kingdom is the scepter of righteousness.

¹¹ Because the King has desired your beauty; for He is your Lord.

²⁴ Do not take me away in the midst of my days; Your years are through all generations. ²⁵ In the beginning You, O Lord, laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Your hands. ²⁶ They shall perish, but You remain; and they all shall grow old like a garment; and as a vesture shall You fold them, and they shall be changed. ²⁷ But You are the same, and Your years shall not fail. ²⁸ The children of Your servants shall dwell securely, and their seed shall prosper forever.

²⁴ This is the day that the Lord has made; let us exalt and rejoice in it. ²⁵ O Lord, save now; O Lord, send now prosperity. ²⁶ Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord; we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. ²⁷ God is the Lord, and He has shined upon us; celebrate the feast with thick branches, binding the victims even to the horns of the altar. ²⁸ You are my God, and I will give You thanks; You are my God, and I will exalt You. I will give thanks to You, for You have heard me, and have become my salvation.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive in the womb, and shall bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Emmanuel.

⁶ For a Child is born to us, and a Son is given to us, whose government is upon His shoulder; and His name is called the Messenger of great counsel; for I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to Him.

⁹ And in that day they shall say, behold our God in whom we have trusted, and He shall save us; this is the Lord; we have waited for Him, and we have exalted, and will rejoice in our salvation.

⁹ O you that brings glad tidings to Zion, go up on the high mountain; lift up your voice with strength, you that brings glad tidings to Jerusalem; lift it up, fear not; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! ¹⁰ Behold the Lord! The Lord is coming with strength, and His arm is with power; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. ¹¹ He shall tend His flock as a shepherd, and He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and He shall soothe them that are with young.

⁵ Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will raise up to David a righteous branch, and a king shall reign and understand, and shall execute judgment and righteousness on the earth. ⁶ In his days both Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell securely. And this is his name, which the Lord shall call Him, Josedek among the prophets.

¹ Behold, I send forth My messenger, and he shall survey the way before Me: and the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come into His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, whom you take pleasure in: behold, He is coming, says the Lord Almighty.

³³ Then those who were in the boat came and worshipped Him, saying, "Truly You are the Son of God."

⁵² And after they had worshipped Him, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

²³ so that all may honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

³⁵ Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and having found him, He said to him, "Do you believe in the Son of God?" ³⁶ He answered and said, "And who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?" ³⁷ And Jesus said to him, "You have both seen Him and it is He who is speaking with you." ³⁸ Then he said, "Lord, I believe!" And he worshipped Him.

¹⁶ Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher).

³¹ but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.

⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." ⁶⁰ Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And having said this, he fell asleep."

¹⁶ And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and was received up in glory.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; because You were slain, and You redeemed us to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and language and people and nation; ¹⁰ and have made them kings and priests to our God; and they will reign on the earth." ¹¹ Then I looked, and I heard as it were the voice of many angels around the throne, and the living beings, and the elders. And the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and a thousand thousands, ¹² saying with a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive the power and the wealth and wisdom and strength, and honor and glory and blessing!" ¹³ And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: "Blessing and honor and glory and power to Him that sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever. Amen!" ¹⁴ -and the four living beings said "Amen!" And the elders fell down and worshipped.

⁴⁵ And blessed is she who has believed, because there shall be a fulfillment to the things having been spoken to her from the Lord."

⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe."

⁸ Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed.

⁷ (for we walk by faith, not by sight),

¹ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

²⁷ By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the anger of the king; for he endured as seeing the Unseen One.

³⁹ And all these, having obtained witness through their faith, did not receive the promise,

⁸ Whom not having seen, you love, in whom now not seeing, but believing, you rejoice with inexpressible joy and glorified,

³ it seemed good also to me, having investigated from the first all things carefully, to write to you in orderly fashion, most distinguished Theophilus, ⁴ so that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.

¹¹ This beginning of the signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

²⁵ And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that not even the world itself would have room for the books which would be written. Amen.

⁴ For as many things as were previously written, were written for our own instruction, that through the patience and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope.

¹¹ Now all these things happened to those people as examples, and they were written for our instruction, to whom the ends of the ages have come.

¹⁵ and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, ¹⁷ that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.

¹ This already, beloved, is the second letter I write to you, in both of which I stir up your pure mind by a reminder, ² to remember the words having been previously spoken by the holy prophets, and the commandment of your apostles of the Lord and Savior;

³ that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, in order that you also may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. ⁴ And these things we write to you that our joy may be fulfilled.

¹³ These things I write to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe in the name of the Son of God.

⁷ declaring the ordinance of the Lord: the Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, today I have begotten You.

¹² Accept correction, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and you should perish from the righteous way. Whenever His wrath shall be suddenly kindled, blessed are all they that trust in Him.

³ And approaching Him, the tempter said, "If You are the Son of God, speak so that these stones may become bread."

¹⁶ And Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

⁵⁴ So when the centurion and those with him guarding Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they were greatly afraid, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God!"

¹⁶ He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that does not believe shall be condemned.

⁴ so that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed.

⁴⁷ and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

¹⁵ that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

¹⁸ He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

³⁶ He who believes in the Son has eternal life; and he who does not believe the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

²⁴ "Most assuredly I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

³⁹ You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about Me. ⁴⁰ But you are unwilling to come to Me, so that you may have life.

⁴⁰ And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."

⁶⁹ Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." ⁷⁰ He answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?"

¹⁰ The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

³⁵ And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he tells the truth, so that you may believe.

¹⁶ And on the basis of faith in His name, this one whom you observe and know, was made strong by His name. And the faith, which is by Him, has given to him this wholeness before you all.

³⁶ Now as they were going down the road, they came upon some water. And the eunuch said, "Behold, here is water: what prevents me from being baptized?"

²⁰ And immediately in the synagogues he was proclaiming Christ, that He is the Son of God.

³ concerning His Son, who came of the seed of David according to the flesh, ⁴ who was declared Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

⁹ obtaining for yourselves the outcome your faith--the salvation of your souls.

²³ Everyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either. ²⁴ Therefore let that which you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. ²⁵ And this is the promise which He Himself promised to you--eternal life.

¹⁵ Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

¹ Everyone that believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone that loves Him that begot also loves him that is begotten of Him.

¹⁰ He that believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; he that does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony which God has testified concerning His Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony: that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² He that has the Son has life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have life. ¹³ These things I write to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe in the name of the Son of God.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true; and we are in Him that is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

⁹ Everyone who transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ, this one has both the Father and the Son.

¹⁸ "And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write, 'These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass:
