²¹ For as the Father raises up the dead and gives life, thus also the Son gives life to whom He wills.

³⁹ Behold I, even I, am He, and there is no God beside Me: I kill, and I will make to live: I will smite, and I will heal; and there is none who shall deliver out of My hands.

⁵⁴ But He sent them all outside, and having grasped her hand, He called, saying, "Child, arise." ⁵⁵ Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded something to be given to her to eat.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

⁴³ And having said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" ⁴⁴ And the one having died came out, bound hands and feet with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped in a handkerchief. Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let him go."

² just as You have given Him authority over all flesh, so that He will give eternal life to all You have given Him.

⁸ Why is it considered such an unbelievable thing by you people if God raises the dead?

¹⁷ (just as it is written, "I have appointed you a father of many nations") before God, whom he believed, the One who gives life to the dead and calls those things which are not as though they were; ¹⁸ who, contrary to hope, on hope believed, so that he should become a father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be." ¹⁹ And not weakening in faith, he did not consider his own body, already having been worn out (being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb,

¹¹ But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit indwelling in you.
