¹⁷ And the city shall be devoted, it and all things that are in it, to the Lord of hosts: only save Rahab the harlot, and everything in her house.

³ And I will bless those that bless you, and curse those that curse you, and in you shall all the tribes of the earth be blessed.

²⁸ And every dedicated thing which a man shall dedicate to the Lord of all that he has, whether man or beast, or of the field of his possession, he shall not sell it, nor redeem it: every devoted thing shall be most holy to the Lord. ²⁹ And whatever shall be dedicated of men, shall not be ransomed, but shall be surely put to death.

² And Israel vowed a vow to the Lord, and said, If you will deliver this people into my power, I will devote it and its cities to You. ³ And the Lord hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered the Canaanite into his power; and Israel devoted him and his cities, and they called the name of that place Anathema.

¹⁷ but you shall surely curse them, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite; as the Lord your God commanded you:

¹ And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two young men to spy the land, saying, Go up and view the land; especially Jericho. And the two young men went and entered into Jericho; and they entered into the house of a harlot, whose name was Rahab, and lodged there.

⁴ And the woman took the two men and hid them; and she spoke to the messengers, saying, The men came in to me, ⁵ but when the gate was shut in the evening, the men went out; I know not where they have gone; follow after them, perhaps you may overtake them. ⁶ But she had brought them up upon the house, and hid them in the flax stalks that were spread by her on the house.

²² And they came to the hill country, and remained there three days; and the pursuers searched all the roads, and found them not.

²² And Joshua said to the two young men who had acted as spies, Go into the house of the woman, and bring her out from there, and all that she has. ²³ And the two young men who had spied out the city entered into the house of the woman, and brought out Rahab the harlot, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and her kindred, and all that she had; and they set her outside the camp of Israel.

¹ But the children of Israel committed a great trespass, and kept back part of the accursed thing; and Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zambri, the son of Zabdi, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing; and the Lord was very angry with the children of Israel.

⁶ And Saul said to the Kenite, Go, and depart out of the midst of the Amalekites, lest I put you with them; for you dealt mercifully with the children of Israel when they went up out of Egypt. So the Kenite departed from the midst of Amalek.

⁸ Everyone who shall not arrive within three days, as is the counsel of the rulers and the elders, all his substance shall be forfeited, and he shall be separated from the congregation of the captivity.

⁶ The sword of the Lord is filled with blood, it is glutted with fat, with the blood of goats and lambs, and with the fat of goats and rams; for the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in Edom.

¹⁰ And that day shall be to the Lord our God a day of vengeance, to take vengeance on His enemies. And the sword of the Lord shall devour, and be glutted, and be drunken with their blood; for the Lord has a sacrifice from the land of the north at the River Euphrates.

¹⁷ And you, son of man, say, Thus says the Lord: Say to every winged bird, and to all the wild beasts of the field, Gather yourselves, and come; gather yourselves from all places round about to My sacrifice, which I have made for you, even a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, and you shall eat flesh, and drink blood.

¹³ Arise, and thresh them, O daughter of Zion: for I will make your horns iron, and I will make your hoofs brass: and you shall utterly destroy many nations, and shall consecrate their abundance to the Lord, and their strength to the Lord of all the earth.

⁴¹ He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. And he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. ⁴² And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."

⁴⁰ "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.'

⁷ But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the wisdom having been hidden, which God foreordained before the ages for our glory,

²² If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema. Marana tha!

¹⁰ For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all the things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."

¹² But the law is not of faith, but "the man who does them shall live by them."

¹⁰ For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

³¹ By faith the prositute Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.

²⁵ Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by means of works, when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
