¹⁰ And the goat upon which the lot of the scapegoat came, he shall present alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon him, so as to send him away as a scapegoat, and he shall send him into the wilderness.

⁷ And he shall sprinkle seven times upon him that was cleansed of his leprosy, and he shall be clean; and he shall let go the living bird into the field.

²¹ and Aaron shall lay his hands on the head of the live goat, and he shall declare over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their unrighteousness, and all their sins; and he shall lay them upon the head of the live goat, and shall send him by the hand of a ready man into the wilderness. ²² And the goat shall bear their unrighteousnesses upon him into a desert land; and Aaron shall send away the goat into the wilderness.

⁴ He bears our sins, and is pained for us; yet we accounted Him to be in trouble, and in suffering, and in affliction. ⁵ But He was wounded on account of our sins, and was bruised because of our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; everyone has gone astray in his way; and the Lord gave Him up for our sins. ⁷ And He, because of His affliction, opened not His mouth; He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so He opened not His mouth. ⁸ In His humiliation His judgment was taken away; who shall declare His generation? For His life is taken away from the earth; because of the iniquities of My people He was led to death. ⁹ And I will give the wicked for His burial, and the rich for His death; for He practiced no iniquity, nor craft with His mouth. ¹⁰ The Lord also is pleased to purge Him from His stroke. If you give an offering for sin, Your soul shall see a long-lived seed; ¹¹ the Lord also is pleased to take away from the travail of His soul, to show Him light, and to form Him with understanding; to justify the just one who serves many well; and He shall bear their sins.

²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of the sins having previously occurred, in the forbearance of God,

²⁵ who was delivered up for our transgressions, and was raised for our justification.

²¹ For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

²⁶ For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; ²⁷ who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices beforehand, in behalf of His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

²³ Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens to be continually purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves by better sacrifices than these. ²⁴ For Christ did not enter into the holies made by hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf;

² And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only concerning ours, but also concerning those of the whole world.

¹⁶ By this we have come to know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives in behalf of our brothers.
