¹⁰ Have you not even read this Scripture: 'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.

²² The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. ²³ This was the Lord's doing; and it is marvelous in our eyes.

¹⁶ Therefore thus says the Lord, even the Lord, Behold, I lay for the foundations of Zion a costly stone, a choice cornerstone and precious, for its foundations; and he that believes on Him shall by no means be ashamed.

³ But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and those who were with him:

⁴ And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,'

¹⁶ and said to Him, "Do You hear what these children are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Did you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?"

⁴² Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: 'The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the LORD's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?

³¹ But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying,

²⁵ But He said to them, "Did you not read what David did when he had need, and became hungry, he and those with him?

²⁶ But concerning the dead, that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in connection with the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, saying, 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'?

¹⁴ "So whenever you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where he must not"--he who reads, let him understand--"then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

³ But Jesus answering them said, "Have you not even read this, what David did when he became hungry, he and those who were with him:

¹⁷ Then He looked at them and said, "What then is this which is written: 'The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone'? ¹⁸ "Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."

¹¹ This is the 'stone which was rejected by you, the builders, which became the chief cornerstone.' ¹² Nor is there salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven which has been given among men by which we must be saved."

³³ Just as it is written: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offense, and everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame."

²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, ²¹ in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, ²² in whom you also are being built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

⁷ Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, "The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone," ⁸ and "a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense." They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.
