²⁹ Or how is one able to enter a strong man's house to plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his household.

²⁴ Will anyone take spoils from a giant? And if one should take a man captive unjustly, shall he be delivered?

¹² Therefore He shall inherit many, and He shall divide the spoils of the mighty; because His soul was delivered to death; and He was numbered among the transgressors; and He bore the sins of many, and was delivered up because of their transgressions.

²⁷ No one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his possessions, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he may plunder his house.

²¹ When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his possessions are in peace. ²² But when a stronger than he comes upon him, he overcomes him, he takes away his full armor in which he had trusted, and distributes his spoils.

⁸ He who practices sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God appeared, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

⁴ You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

⁷ And there came to be war in heaven: Michael and his angels, waging war with the dragon; and the dragon made war, and his angels, ⁸ and he did not prevail, nor was a place found for him any longer in heaven. ⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ¹⁰ Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser of our brothers, the one who accused them before our God day and night, has been thrown out of heaven.

¹ Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. ² And he seized the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, he who deceives the whole world, and he bound him for a thousand years; ³ and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and locked and sealed it over him, so that he should deceive the nations no more until the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a short time.

⁷ Now after the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison, ⁸ and he will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war, whose number is like the sand of the sea. ⁹ They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
