¹⁸ And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I shall build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.

¹⁷ surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand which is by the shore of the sea, and your seed shall inherit the cities of their enemies.

⁴ And the king said to them, Whatever seems good in your eyes I will do. And the king stood by the side of the gate, and all the people went out by hundreds and by thousands.

¹⁷ And do the gates of death open to you out of fear; and did the porters of hell quake when they saw you?

¹³ Have mercy upon me, O Lord; look upon my affliction which I suffer from my enemies, You that lift me up from the gates of death:

¹² Those that sit in the gate talked against me, and those that drank wine sang against me.

¹⁸ Their soul abhorred all food; and they drew near to the gates of death.

¹ A Song of Degrees. They that trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion: he that dwells in Jerusalem shall never be moved. ² The mountains are round about her, and so the Lord is round about His people, from this time forth and forever.

⁵ Blessed is the man who shall satisfy his desire with them; they shall not be ashamed when they shall speak to their enemies in the gates.

⁷ Wisdom and good understanding are in the gates of the wise; the wise turn not aside from the mouth of the Lord,

⁶ They shall be left in the spirit of judgment for judgment, and for the strength of them that hinder slaying.

¹⁶ Therefore thus says the Lord, even the Lord, Behold, I lay for the foundations of Zion a costly stone, a choice cornerstone and precious, for its foundations; and he that believes on Him shall by no means be ashamed.

¹⁰ I said in the end of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave; I shall part with the remainder of my years.

¹⁷ I will not allow any weapon formed against you to prosper; and every voice that shall rise up against you for judgment, you shall vanquish them all; and your adversaries shall be condemned thereby. There is an inheritance to them that serve the Lord, and you shall be righteous before Me, says the Lord.

¹² and you shall say to him, Thus says the Lord Almighty; Behold the man whose name is the Branch; and He shall spring up from His stem, and build the house of the Lord. ¹³ And He shall receive power, and shall sit and rule upon His throne; and there shall be a priest on His right hand, and a peaceable counsel shall be between them both.

² Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

²³ And you, Capernaum, the one having been exalted to heaven, you will be brought down to Hades; because if the miracles which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.

¹⁷ But if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the assembly. But if he refuses even to hear the assembly, let him be to you as a heathen and a tax collector.

⁴² And he led him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, "You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas" (which is translated, A Stone).

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. ²⁸ And I give to them eternal life, and they shall never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. ²⁹ My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one."

⁴⁷ praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to the church daily those who were being saved.

¹ Now Saul was agreeing with them in his murder. And in that day there arose a great persecution against the church which was in Jerusalem; and they all were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

³³ Who shall bring an accusation against God's elect? It is God who justifies. ³⁴ Who is he that condemns? Christ is the One having died, but rather also having been raised, who is even at the right hand of God, who also intercedes on our behalf. ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ³⁶ Just as it is written: "For Your sake we are put to death the whole day long; we are accounted as sheep for slaughter." ³⁷ But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, ³⁹ nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁹ For we are coworkers with God; you are God's field, you are God's building. ¹⁰ According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise architect I have laid the foundation, but another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. ¹¹ For no other foundation can anyone lay, other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

⁵⁵ "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?"

⁹ and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace which was given to me, they gave me and Barnabas their right hands of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised;

¹⁹ So then, you are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, ²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, ²¹ in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, ²² in whom you also are being built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.

¹⁰ that the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenlies,

²⁵ Husbands, love your own wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, ²⁶ in order that He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of water by the word, ²⁷ that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and blameless.

³² This is a great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and to the church.

¹⁸ And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that in all things He may have the preeminence,

⁵ (for if one does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?);

¹⁵ but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how it is necessary to conduct oneself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and bulwark of the truth.

³ For this One has been counted worthy of more honor than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house. ⁴ For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.

²⁸ Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

¹ And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. And there was no more sea. ² Then I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having been prepared like a bride having been adorned for her husband. ³ And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them. ⁴ And He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying out; neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things have passed away."

¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
