¹⁷ even of them that were building the wall. And those who carried the burdens were under arms: each with one hand performing his work, and with the other held his weapon.

²⁵ And you shall know and understand, that from the going forth of the command for the answer and for the building of Jerusalem, until Christ the Prince, there shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks; and then the time shall return, and the street shall be built, and the wall, and the times shall be exhausted.

¹² If others partake of this right over you, do not we even more? Nevertheless we did not use this right, but bear all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

⁹ For a great and effective door has been opened to me, and there are many adversaries.

¹³ Watch, stand fast in the faith, be courageous, be strong.

⁷ through the word of truth, through the power of God, through the weapons of righteousness on the right hand and on the left hand,

¹¹ Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil. ¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenlies. ¹³ Because of this, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having accomplished all things, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ¹⁶ above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; ¹⁸ through every prayer and petition, praying in every season in the Spirit, being watchful to this same thing with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints-- ¹⁹ and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, in the opening of my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for the sake of which I serve as an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I must speak.

²⁸ and not being terrified in anything by your enemies, which is to them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and this from God.

³ You therefore endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

⁷ I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
