³ from twenty-five years old and upward until fifty years, everyone that goes in to minister, to do all the works in the tabernacle of witness. ⁴ And these are the works of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of witness; it is most holy. ⁵ And Aaron and his sons shall go in, when the camp is about to move, and shall take down the shadowing veil, and they shall cover with it the ark of the Testimony. ⁶ And they shall put a cover on it of blue skin, a garment of all blue, and they shall put the poles through the rings. ⁷ And they shall put on the table set forth for showbread a cloth all of purple, and the dishes, and the censers, and the cups, and the vessels with which one offers drink offerings; and they shall put it on bearers. ¹¹ And they shall put a blue cloth for a cover on the golden altar, and shall cover it with a blue skin cover, and put in its poles. ¹² And they shall take all the instruments of service, with which they minister in the sanctuary: and shall place them in a cloth of blue, and shall cover them with blue skin covering, and put them upon poles. ¹³ And he shall put the covering on the altar, and they shall cover it with a cloth all of purple. ¹⁴ And they shall put upon it all the vessels with which they minister upon it, and the firepans, and the flesh-hooks, and the cups, and the cover, and all the vessels of the altar; and they shall put on it a blue cover of skins, and shall put in its poles; and they shall take a purple cloth, and cover the laver and its foot, and they shall put it into a blue cover of skin, and put it on bars. ¹⁵ And Aaron and his sons shall finish covering the holy things, and all the holy vessels, when the camp begins to move; and afterwards the sons of Kohath shall go in to take up the furniture; but shall not touch the holy things, lest they die: these shall the sons of Kohath bear in the tabernacle of witness. ¹⁶ Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest is overseer — the oil of the light, and the incense of composition, and the daily grain offering and the anointing oil, are his charge; even the oversight of the whole tabernacle, and all things that are in it in the holy place, in all the works. ¹⁷ And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, ¹⁸ You shall not destroy the family of Kohath from the tribe out of the midst of the Levites. ¹⁹ But do this in regard to them, and they shall live and not die, when they approach the holy of holies: Let Aaron and his sons advance, and they shall place them each in his post for bearing. ²⁰ And so they shall by no means go in to look suddenly upon the holy things, and die. ²¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ²² Take the sum of the children of Gershon, and these according to the houses of their lineage, according to there families. ²³ Take the number of them from twenty-five years old and upwards until the age of fifty, everyone that goes in to minister, to do his business in the tabernacle of witness. ²⁴ This is the public service of the family of Gershon, to minister and to bear. ²⁵ And they shall bear the skins of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of witness, and its veil, and the blue cover that was on it above, and the cover of the door of the tabernacle of witness. ²⁶ And all the curtains of the court which were upon the tabernacle of witness, and the appendages, and all the vessels of service that they minister with they shall attend to. ²⁷ According to the direction of Aaron and his sons shall be the ministry of the sons of Gershon, in all their ministries, and in all their works; and you shall take account of them by name in all things borne by them. ²⁸ This is the service of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of witness, and their charge by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. ²⁹ Take the number of the sons of Merari according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage. ³⁰ Take the number of them from twenty-five years old and upwards until fifty years old, everyone that goes in to perform the services of the tabernacle of witness. ³¹ And these are the charges of the things borne by them according to all their works in the tabernacle of witness: they shall bear the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and the veil, and there shall be their sockets, and their pillars, and the curtain of the door of the tabernacle. ³² And they shall bear the pillars of the court round about, and there shall be their sockets, and they shall bear the pillars of the veil of the door of the court, and their sockets and their pins, and their cords, and all their furniture, and all their instruments of service. And you shall take their number by name, and all the articles of the charge of the things borne by them. ³³ This is the ministration of the family of the sons of Merari in all their works in the tabernacle of witness, by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. ³⁴ And Moses and Aaron and the rulers of Israel took the number of the sons of Kohath according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage, ³⁵ from twenty-five years old and upwards to the age of fifty years, everyone that goes in to minister and do service in the tabernacle of witness. ³⁶ And the numbering of them according to their families was two thousand, seven hundred and fifty. ³⁷ This is the numbering of the family of Kohath, everyone that ministers in the tabernacle of witness, as Moses and Aaron numbered them by the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses. ³⁸ And the sons of Gershon were numbered according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage, ³⁹ from twenty-five years old and upward till fifty years old, everyone that goes in to minister and to do the services in the tabernacle of witness. ⁴⁰ And the numbering of them according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage, was two thousand six hundred and thirty. ⁴¹ This is the numbering of the family of the sons of Gershon, everyone who ministers in the tabernacle of witness; whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses. ⁴² And also the family of the sons of Merari were numbered according to their divisions, according to the house of their fathers; ⁴³ from twenty-five years old and upward till fifty years old, everyone that goes in to minister in the services of the tabernacle of witness. ⁴⁴ And the numbering of them according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage, was three thousand two hundred. ⁴⁵ This is the numbering of the family of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses. ⁴⁶ All that were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron and the rulers of Israel numbered, namely, the Levites, according to their families and according to the houses of their lineage, ⁴⁷ from twenty-five years old and upward till fifty years old, everyone that goes in to the service of the works, and the charge of the things that are carried in the tabernacle of witness. ⁴⁸ And they that were numbered were eight thousand five hundred and eighty. ⁴⁹ He reviewed them by the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses, appointing each man severally over their respective work, and over their burdens; and they were numbered, as the Lord commanded Moses.

¹⁹ and the sons of Kohath according to their families: Amram and Izehar, Hebron and Uzziel;

²⁷ To Kohath belonged one division, that of Amram, and another division, that of Izehar, and another division, that of Hebron, and another division, that of Uzziel: these are the divisions of Kohath, according to number.

⁴⁶ And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went through all the land of Egypt.

⁷ and shall keep his charges, and the charges of the children of Israel, before the tabernacle of witness, to do the works of the tabernacle. ⁸ And they shall keep all the furniture of the tabernacle of witness, and the charges of the children of Israel as to all the works of the tabernacle.

²³ Take the number of them from twenty-five years old and upwards until the age of fifty, everyone that goes in to minister, to do his business in the tabernacle of witness.

⁹ Is it a little thing for you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, and brought you near to Himself to minister in the services of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the tabernacle to minister for them?

⁴ And in the seventh year Jehoiada sent and took the captains of hundreds-of the bodyguards and the escorts — and brought them to him into the house of the Lord, and made a covenant of the Lord with them, and adjured them, and Jehoiada showed them the king's son. ⁵ And charged them, saying, This is the thing which you shall do. ⁶ Let a third part of you go in on the Sabbath day, and keep the watch of the king's house in the porch; and another third at the gate of Sur, and a third at the gate behind the footmen; and keep guard of the house. ⁷ And there shall be two parties among you, even everyone that goes out on the Sabbath, and they shall keep the guard of the Lord's house before the king. ⁸ And surround the king on all sides, every man with his weapon in his hand, and he that goes into the ranges shall die. And they shall be with the king in his going out and in his coming in. ⁹ And the captains of hundreds did all the things that the wise Jehoiada commanded; and they took each his men, both those that went in on the Sabbath day, and those that went out on the Sabbath day, and went in to Jehoiada the priest. ¹⁰ And the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the swords and spears of King David that were in the house of the Lord. ¹¹ And the footmen stood each with his weapon in his hand from the right corner of the house to the left corner of the house, by the altar and the house round about the king. ¹² And he brought forth the king's son, and put the crown on him and gave him the Testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him, and they clapped their hands and said, Long live the king!

⁴⁸ And their brethren according to the houses of their fathers, were the Levites who were appointed to all the work of ministration of the tabernacle of the house of God.

³ And the Levites numbered themselves from thirty years old and upward; and their number by their polls amounted to thirty-eight thousand men. ⁴ Of the overseers over the works of the house of the Lord there were twenty-four thousand, and there were six thousand scribes and judges; ⁵ and four thousand gatekeepers, and four thousand to praise the Lord with instruments which he made to praise the Lord.

²⁴ These are the sons of Levi according to the houses of their fathers; chiefs of their families according to their numbering, according to the number of their names, according to their polls, doing the works of service of the house of the Lord, from twenty years old and upward. ²⁵ For David said, The Lord God of Israel has given rest to His people, and has taken up His abode in Jerusalem forever. ²⁶ And the Levites bore not the tabernacle, or any of the vessels for its service. ²⁷ For by the last words of David was the number of the Levites taken from twenty years old and upward. ²⁸ For he appointed them to wait on Aaron, to minister in the house of the Lord, over the courts, and over the chambers, and over the purification of all the holy things, and over the works of the service of the house of God; ²⁹ and for the showbread, and for the fine flour of the meat offering, and for the unleavened cakes, and for the fried cake, and for the dough, and for every measure; ³⁰ and to stand in the morning to praise and give thanks to the Lord, and so in the evening; ³¹ and to be over all the whole burnt offerings that were offered up to the Lord on the Sabbaths, and at the new moons, and at the feasts, by number, according to the order given to them, continually before the Lord. ³² And they are to keep the charge of the tabernacle of witness, and the charge of the holy place, and the charges of the sons of Aaron their brethren, to minister in the house of the Lord.

¹² and the plan which he had in his mind of the courts of the house of the Lord, and of all the chambers round about, designed for the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the holy things, and of the chambers for resting; ¹³ and the plan of the courses of the priests and Levites, for all the work of the service of the house of the Lord, and of the stores of vessels for ministration of the service of the house of the Lord.

¹ And in the eighth year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jehoram, Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, Azariah the son of Obed, Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zechariah, with him unto the house of the Lord. ² And they went round about Judah, and gathered the Levites out of all the cities of Judah, and heads of the families of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem. ³ And all the congregation of Judah made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he showed them the king's son, and said to them, Lo, let the king's son reign, as the Lord said concerning the house of David. ⁴ Now this is the thing which you shall do. Let a third part of you, even of the priests and of the Levites, enter in on the Sabbath, even into the gates of the entrances; ⁵ and let a third part be in the house of the king; and another third at the middle gate. And all the people in the courts of the Lord's house. ⁶ And let no one enter into the house of the Lord except the priests and the Levites, and the servants of the Levites; they shall enter in, because they are holy; and let all the people keep the watch of the Lord. ⁷ And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man's weapon in his hand; and whoever else goes into the house shall die; but they shall be with the king when he goes out, and when he comes in. ⁸ And the Levites and all Judah did according to all that the priest Jehoiada commanded them, and they took each his men from the beginning of the Sabbath to the end of the Sabbath, for Jehoiada the priest did not dismiss the courses. ⁹ And Jehoiada gave to the men the swords, and the shields, and the arms, which had belonged to King David, in the house of God. ¹⁰ And he set the whole people, every man with his arms, from the right side of the house to the left side of the altar and the house, over against the king round about. ¹¹ And he brought out the king's son, and put on him the crown and the Testimony, and Jehoiada the priest and his sons proclaimed him king, and anointed him, saying, Long live the king!

⁸ And in the second year of their coming to the house of God in Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all who came from the captivity to Jerusalem, and they appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, over the workmen in the house of the Lord.

²³ Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as it was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,

³ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. ⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty by God to the pulling down of strongholds,

¹⁰ Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. ¹¹ Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil. ¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenlies. ¹³ Because of this, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having accomplished all things, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ¹⁵ and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ¹⁶ above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. ¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; ¹⁸ through every prayer and petition, praying in every season in the Spirit, being watchful to this same thing with all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints--

¹⁸ This charge I commit to you, my son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that you may war by them the good warfare,

¹ Faithful is this word: If anyone aspires to the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.

⁶ not a new convert, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.

³⁰ And the chief of the house of the families of the divisions of Kohath was Elizaphan the son of Uzziel. ³¹ And their charge was the ark, and the table, and the lampstand, and the altars, and all the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they do holy service, and the veil, and all their works.

¹⁵ And Aaron and his sons shall finish covering the holy things, and all the holy vessels, when the camp begins to move; and afterwards the sons of Kohath shall go in to take up the furniture; but shall not touch the holy things, lest they die: these shall the sons of Kohath bear in the tabernacle of witness.

³⁴ It is like a man going away on a journey, having left his house and having given authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper that he should watch.

¹⁰ And you shall make the Ark of Testimony of incorruptible wood; the length of two cubits and a half, and the breadth of a cubit and a half, and the height of a cubit and a half. ¹¹ And you shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it; and you shall make for it golden wreaths twisted round about. ¹² And you shall cast for it four golden rings, and shall put them on the four sides; two rings on the one side, and two rings on the other side. ¹³ And you shall make poles of incorruptible wood, and shall overlay them with gold. ¹⁴ And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to bear the ark with them. ¹⁵ The poles shall remain fixed in the rings of the ark. ¹⁶ And you shall put into the ark the testimonies which I shall give you. ¹⁷ And you shall make a mercy seat, a lid of pure gold; the length of two cubits and a half, and the breadth of a cubit and a half. ¹⁸ And you shall make two cherubim graven in gold, and you shall put them on both sides of the mercy seat. ¹⁹ They shall be made, one cherub on this side, and another cherub on the other side of the mercy seat; and you shall make the two cherubim on the two sides. ²⁰ The cherubim shall stretch forth their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings; and their faces shall be toward each other, the faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat. ²¹ And you shall set the mercy seat on the ark above, and you shall put into the ark the testimonies which I shall give you. ²² And I will make Myself known to you from there, and I will speak to you from above the mercy seat between the two cherubim, which are upon the Ark of Testimony, even in all things which I shall charge you concerning the children of Israel.

³¹ And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet woven, and fine linen spun: you shall make it cherubim in woven work. ³² And you shall set it upon four posts of incorruptible wood overlaid with gold; and their tops shall be of gold, and their four sockets shall be of silver. ³³ And you shall put the veil on the posts, and you shall carry the ark of the Testimony in there within the veil; and the veil shall make a separation for you between the holy place, and the Most Holy.

³⁵ And they made vestments of fine linen, a woven work, for Aaron and his sons,

¹ And they made ten curtains for the tabernacle. ² The length of one curtain was twenty-eight cubits: the same measure was to all, and the breadth of one curtain was four cubits. ³ And they made the veil of blue, purple, spun scarlet, and fine linen twined, the woven work with cherubim. ⁴ And they put it on four posts of incorruptible wood overlaid with gold; and their chapiters were gold, and their four sockets were silver. ⁵ And they made the veil of the door of the tabernacle of witness of blue, purple, spun scarlet, and fine linen twined, woven work with cherubim, ⁶ and their posts five, and the rings; and they gilded their chapiters and their clasps with gold, and they had five sockets of brass. ⁷ And they made the court toward the south; the curtains of the court of fine linen twined, a hundred cubits every way, ⁸ and their posts twenty, and their sockets twenty; ⁹ and on the north side a hundred every way, and on the south side a hundred every way, and their posts twenty and their sockets twenty.

³ and you shall place in it the ark of the testimony, and shall cover the ark with the veil,

¹⁶ All who were numbered of the camp of Reuben were a hundred and fifty-one thousand four hundred and fifty: they with their forces shall proceed in the second place. ¹⁷ And then the tabernacle of witness shall be set forward, and the camp of the Levites shall be between the camps; as they shall encamp, so also shall they commence their march, each one next in order to his fellow according to their companies.

²⁷ To Kohath belonged one division, that of Amram, and another division, that of Izehar, and another division, that of Hebron, and another division, that of Uzziel: these are the divisions of Kohath, according to number. ²⁸ Every male from a month old and upward, eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charges of the holy things. ²⁹ The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp beside the tabernacle toward the south. ³⁰ And the chief of the house of the families of the divisions of Kohath was Elizaphan the son of Uzziel. ³¹ And their charge was the ark, and the table, and the lampstand, and the altars, and all the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they do holy service, and the veil, and all their works. ³² And the chief over the chief of the Levites was Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, appointed to keep the charges of the holy things.

¹⁴ And they first set in motion the order of the camp of the children of Judah with their host; and over their host was Nahshon, son of Amminadab.

² And David arose and went, he and all the people that were with him, and some of the rulers of Judah, on an expedition to a distant place, to bring back from there the ark of God, upon which is called the name of the Lord of hosts who dwells between the cherubim. ³ And they put the ark of the Lord on a new cart, and took it out of the house of Abinadab who lived on the hill, and Uzzah and his brethren, the sons of Abinadab drove the cart with the ark. ⁴ And his brethren went before the ark. ⁵ And David and the children of Israel were playing before the Lord on well-tuned instruments mightily, and with songs, and with harps, and with lutes, and with drums, and with cymbals, and with pipes. ⁶ And they came as far as the threshing floor of Nachon. And Uzzah reached forth his hand to the ark of God to keep it steady, and took hold of it; for the ox shook it out of its place. ⁷ And the Lord was very angry with Uzzah, and God struck him there; and he died there by the ark of the Lord before God. ⁸ And David was dispirited because the Lord made a breach upon Uzzah; and that place was called the Breach of Uzzah until this day. ⁹ And David feared the Lord in that day, saying, How shall the ark of the Lord come in to me?

⁷ they shall anoint themselves with ointment in this mountain. Impart all these things to the nations; for this is God's counsel upon all the nations.

⁵¹ And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth was shaken, and the rocks were split,

³ and after the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies,

²⁰ by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,

¹³ And you shall make poles of incorruptible wood, and shall overlay them with gold. ¹⁴ And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to bear the ark with them. ¹⁵ The poles shall remain fixed in the rings of the ark.

¹⁹ and the holy garments of Aaron the priest, and the garments in which they shall do service. And the garments of priesthood for the sons of Aaron and the anointing oil, and the compound incense.

¹ All the gold that was employed for the works according to all the fabrication of the holy things, was from the gold of the offerings, twenty-nine talents, and seven hundred and twenty shekels according to the holy shekel.

²³ And you shall make a golden table of pure gold, in length two cubits, and in breadth a cubit, and in height a cubit and a half. ²⁴ And you shall make for it golden wreaths twisted round about, and you shall make for it a crown of an handbreadth round about. ²⁵ And you shall make a twisted wreath for the crown round about. ²⁶ And you shall make four golden rings; and you shall put the four rings upon the four parts of its feet under the crown. ²⁷ And the rings shall be for bearings for the poles, that they may bear the table with them. ²⁸ And you shall make the poles of incorruptible wood, and you shall overlay them with pure gold; and the table shall be borne with them. ²⁹ And you shall make its dishes, its censers, its bowls, and its cups, with which you shall offer drink offerings. Of pure gold shall you make them. ³⁰ And you shall set upon the table showbread before Me continually.

¹⁰ And on the west side curtains of fifty cubits, their posts ten and their sockets ten. ¹¹ And on the east side curtains of fifty cubits of fifteen cubits behind, ¹² and their pillars three, and their sockets three. ¹³ And at the second back on this side and on that by the gate of the court, curtains of fifteen cubits, their pillars three and their sockets three; ¹⁴ all the curtains of the tabernacle of fine linen twined. ¹⁵ And the sockets of their pillars of brass, and their hooks of silver, and their chapiters overlaid with silver, and all the posts of the court overlaid with silver; ¹⁶ and the veil of the gate of the court, the work of an embroiderer of blue, purple, spun scarlet, and fine linen twined; the length of twenty cubits, and the height and the breadth of five cubits, made equal to the curtains of the court;

⁵ And you shall take fine flour, and make of it twelve loaves; each loaf shall be of two tenth parts. ⁶ And you shall put them in two rows, each row containing six loaves, on the pure table before the Lord. ⁷ And you shall put on each row pure frankincense and salt; and these things shall be for loaves for a memorial, set forth before the Lord. ⁸ On the Sabbath day they shall be set forth before the Lord continually before the children of Israel, for an everlasting covenant.

⁶ And they shall put a cover on it of blue skin, a garment of all blue, and they shall put the poles through the rings. ⁷ And they shall put on the table set forth for showbread a cloth all of purple, and the dishes, and the censers, and the cups, and the vessels with which one offers drink offerings; and the continual loaves shall be upon it.

⁹ And they shall take a blue covering, and cover the lampstand that gives light, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its funnels, and all the vessels of oil with which they minister.

²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

³⁸ They that encamp before the tabernacle of witness on the east shall be Moses and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charges of the sanctuary according to the charges of the children of Israel; and the stranger that touches them shall die.

⁹ But to the sons of Kohath he gave them not, because they have the ministrations of the sacred things: they shall bear them on their shoulders.

⁹ And Moses wrote the words of this law in a book, and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to the elders of the sons of Israel.

² Then said David, It is not lawful for any to bear the ark of God, but the Levites; for the Lord has chosen them to bear the ark of the Lord, and to minister to Him forever.

¹⁵ And the sons of the Levites took the ark of God, (as Moses commanded by the word of God according to the Scripture) upon their shoulders with poles.

¹⁸ For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and to a whirlwind, ¹⁹ and to a sound of a trumpet and to a voice of words, which those who heard begged that no further word be spoken to them. ²⁰ For they could not bear that which was commanded: "And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned." ²¹ And so fearful was the spectacle, that Moses said, "I am greatly afraid and trembling." ²² But you have come to Zion, to the Mountain and city of the living God, to a heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, ²³ to the general assembly and church of the firstborn having been enrolled in the heavens, to God the Judge of all, and to spirits of just men made perfect, ²⁴ and to Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling which speaks better things than the blood of Abel. ²⁵ See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape, having refused Him who warned them, how much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who warns from heaven; ²⁶ whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also the heaven." ²⁷ Now the phrase, "Yet once more," signifies the removal of the things being shaken, as having been made, so that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. ²⁸ Therefore, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. ²⁹ For our God is a consuming fire.

⁶ and oil for the light, incense for anointing oil, for the composition of incense,

²⁰ And command the children of Israel, and let them take for you refined pure olive oil beaten to burn for light, that a lamp may burn continually ²¹ in the tabernacle of the testimony, outside the veil that is before the ark of the Covenant, shall Aaron and his sons burn it from evening until morning, before the Lord — it is a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations of the children of Israel.

³⁹ One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the second lamb you shall offer in the evening. ⁴⁰ And a tenth measure of fine flour mingled with the fourth part of a hin of pressed oil, and a drink offering the fourth part of a hin of wine for one lamb. ⁴¹ And you shall offer the second lamb in the evening, after the manner of the morning offering, and according to the drink offering of the morning lamb; you shall offer it to the Lord for a sweet-smelling aroma,

³² And the chief over the chief of the Levites was Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, appointed to keep the charges of the holy things.

¹⁸ "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;

²⁸ Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit placed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of the Lord, and of God, which He purchased with His own blood.

¹ Let a man so consider us, as ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

⁵ For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

¹ Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus Christ,

¹ Who is this that has come from Edom, with red garments from Bosor? Thus fair in his apparel, with mighty strength? I speak of righteousness and saving judgment. ² Why are your garments red, and your clothing as if fresh from a trodden winepress? ³ I am full of trodden grapes, and of the nations there is not a man with Me; and I trampled them in My fury, and dashed them to pieces as earth, and brought down their blood to the earth. ⁴ For the day of recompense has come upon them, and the year of redemption is at hand.

¹⁴ For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, having been sold under sin. ¹⁵ For what I am doing, I do not know. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, this I do. ¹⁶ But if I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. ¹⁷ But now it is no longer I who am doing it, but the sin dwelling in me. ¹⁸ For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to do the good, I do not find. ¹⁹ For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, this I practice. ²⁰ But if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who am doing it, but the sin dwelling in me. ²¹ Therefore I find this law, that when I wish to do the right thing, that evil is present with me. ²² For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. ²³ But I see a different law in my members, waging war with the law of my mind, and capturing me by the law of sin which is in my members. ²⁴ O wretched man that I am! ⁷ Who ever serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink from the milk of the flock?

⁷ through the word of truth, through the power of God, through the weapons of righteousness on the right hand and on the left hand,

³ For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. ⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty by God to the pulling down of strongholds, ⁵ casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ,

¹⁷ For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these things oppose each other, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

²⁴ And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

²⁷ According to the direction of Aaron and his sons shall be the ministry of the sons of Gershon, in all their ministries, and in all their works; and you shall take account of them by name in all things borne by them.

⁷⁰ as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, who have been since the world began,

² Now I praise you, brothers, because you remember me in all things, and you hold fast the traditions just as I handed down to you.

³³ This is the ministration of the family of the sons of Merari in all their works in the tabernacle of witness, by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

⁵ And there are varieties of ministries, but the same Lord. ⁶ And there are varieties of activities, but the same God works all in all.

³³ To Merari belonged the family of Mahli, and the family of Mushi: these are the families of Merari. ³⁴ The mustering of them according to their number, every male from a month old and upwards, was six thousand and fifty. ³⁵ And the head of the house of the families of the division of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They shall encamp by the side of the tabernacle northwards.

¹ A Psalm of David. The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool. ² The Lord shall send out the rod of Your strength out of Zion; rule in the midst of Your enemies! ³ With You is dominion in the day of Your power, in the splendors of Your saints; I have begotten You from the womb before the morning. ⁴ The Lord has sworn, and will not relent, You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek. ⁵ The Lord at Your right hand has dashed in pieces kings in the day of His wrath. ⁶ He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill up the number of corpses, He shall crush the heads of many on the earth. ⁷ He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore shall He lift up the head.

¹¹ You however, O man of God, flee these things. But pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness. ¹² Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of eternal life, to which you were called and have confessed the good confession before many witnesses.

⁴ No one serving as a soldier entangles himself in the affairs of civilian life, in order that he may please the one having enlisted him.

⁷ I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ⁸ Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.

¹⁵ And you shall make the posts of the tabernacle of incorruptible wood.

³⁶ The oversight of the charge of the sons of Merari included the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, its pillars, its sockets and all their furniture, and their works, ³⁷ and the pillars of the court round about, and their bases, their pins, and their cords.

⁸ And four wagons and eight oxen he gave to the sons of Merari according to their ministrations, by Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. ⁹ But to the sons of Kohath he gave them not, because they have the ministrations of the sacred things: they shall bear them on their shoulders.

¹⁷ And on the lampstand seven golden lamps, and its snuffers gold, and its funnels gold.

²¹ He made the pins of the tabernacle and the pins of the court of brass.

¹ And it came to pass in the day in which Moses finished the setting up of the tabernacle, that he anointed it, and consecrated it, and all its furniture, and the altar and all its furniture; he anointed them, and consecrated them.

²⁸ This is the service of the sons of Gershon in the tabernacle of witness, and their charge by the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.

⁶ And Joshua said to the priests, Take up the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and go before the people. And the priests took up the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and went before the people.

⁶ For a man shall lay hold of his brother, as one of his father's household, saying, You have clothing, you be our ruler, and let my food be under your power.

³⁹ from twenty-five years old and upward till fifty years old, everyone that goes in to minister and to do the services in the tabernacle of witness.

⁴³ from twenty-five years old and upward till fifty years old, everyone that goes in to minister in the services of the tabernacle of witness.

²⁶ And the Levites bore not the tabernacle, or any of the vessels for its service. ²⁷ For by the last words of David was the number of the Levites taken from twenty years old and upward.

¹³ and the plan of the courses of the priests and Levites, for all the work of the service of the house of the Lord, and of the stores of vessels for ministration of the service of the house of the Lord.

³⁴ The mustering of them according to their number, every male from a month old and upwards, was six thousand and fifty.

²⁵ His sandal shall be iron and brass; as your days be, so shall be your strength.

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation, He will also make the way out, so as for you to be able to bear it.

⁸ For to one is given a word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit, ⁹ and to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, ¹⁰ to another the working of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another discerning of spirits, and to another different kinds of tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. ¹² For just as the body is one and has many parts, but all the parts of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

⁹ And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in calamities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For whenever I am weak, then I am strong.

²⁹ Take the number of the sons of Merari according to their families, according to the houses of their lineage.

²³ Take the number of them from twenty-five years old and upwards until the age of fifty, everyone that goes in to minister, to do his business in the tabernacle of witness. ²⁴ This is the public service of the family of Gershon, to minister and to bear.

³⁷ This is the numbering of the family of Kohath, everyone that ministers in the tabernacle of witness, as Moses and Aaron numbered them by the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.

⁶ Having then gifts differing according to the grace having been given to us, let us use them: whether prophecy, let us prophecy according to the proportion of faith; ⁷ whether ministry, let us use it in our ministry; whether teaching; in the teaching; ⁸ whether exhorting, in the exhortation; whether sharing, with simplicity; whether leading, with diligence; whether showing mercy, with cheerfulness.

⁴ Now there are varieties of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are varieties of ministries, but the same Lord. ⁶ And there are varieties of activities, but the same God works all in all. ⁷ But to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the profit {\I of all). ⁸ For to one is given a word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit, ⁹ and to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, ¹⁰ to another the working of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another discerning of spirits, and to another different kinds of tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills. ¹² For just as the body is one and has many parts, but all the parts of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. ¹³ For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free--and we were all given to drink into one Spirit. ¹⁴ For in fact the body is not one part but many. ¹⁵ If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? ¹⁶ And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body," is it therefore not of the body? ¹⁷ If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? ¹⁸ But now God has set the parts, each one of them, in the body just as He desired. ¹⁹ And if all parts were one part, where would be the body? ²⁰ But now indeed there are many parts, but one body. ²¹ And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you." ²² But to a greater degree the parts of the body which seem weaker are necessary. ²³ And the parts of the body which we consider to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater propriety. ²⁴ But our presentable parts have no need. But God united the body, giving greater honor to the part being inferior, ²⁵ lest there be divisions in the body, but the parts care the same for one another. ²⁶ And if one part suffers, all the parts suffer together; or if one part is honored, all the parts rejoice together. ²⁷ Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. ²⁸ And those whom God has appointed in the church are: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, kinds of tongues. ²⁹ All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? ³⁰ Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? ³¹ But strive for the better gifts. And yet I make known a more excellent way.

³⁹ All the numbering of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the word of the Lord, according to their families, every male from a month old and upwards, were twenty-two thousand.

¹⁴ How narrow the gate, and confined the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it!

¹⁶ "Thus the last shall be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few are chosen."

¹⁵ Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might trap Him in His speech.

⁴⁷ But the Levites of the tribe of their family were not counted among the children of Israel.

⁵⁴ And the children of Israel did according to all that the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.

³³ But the Levites were not numbered with them, as the Lord commanded Moses.

⁵¹ And Moses gave the ransom of them that were over to Aaron and his sons, by the word of the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

²¹ And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

³¹ And these are the charges of the things borne by them according to all their works in the tabernacle of witness: they shall bear the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and the veil, and there shall be their sockets, and their pillars, and the curtain of the door of the tabernacle.

⁴¹ This is the numbering of the family of the sons of Gershon, everyone who ministers in the tabernacle of witness; whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.

⁴⁵ This is the numbering of the family of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the word of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.

² and the Spirit of God shall rest upon Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and strength, the spirit of knowledge and godliness shall fill Him; ³ the spirit of the fear of God. He shall not judge according to appearance, nor reprove according to report; ⁴ but He shall judge the cause of the lowly, and shall reprove the lowly of the earth; and He shall smite the earth with the word of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips shall He destroy the ungodly one.

¹ Jacob is My servant, I will help him; Israel is My elect, My soul has accepted him; I have put My Spirit upon him; he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. ² He shall not cry, nor lift up his voice, nor shall his voice be heard without. ³ A bruised reed he shall not break, and smoking flax he shall not quench; but he shall bring forth judgment to truth. ⁴ He shall shine out, and shall not be discouraged, until he has set judgment on the earth; and in his name shall the Gentiles trust. ⁵ Thus says the Lord God, who made the heaven, and established it; who settled the earth, and the things in it, and gives breath to the people in it, and spirit to them that tread on it; ⁶ I, the Lord God, have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will strengthen you; and I have given you for the covenant of a race, for a light of the Gentiles; ⁷ to open the eyes of the blind, to bring the bound and them that sit in darkness out of bonds and the prison house.

¹ Hearken to Me, you islands; and attend, you Gentiles; after a long time it shall come to pass, says the Lord; from my mother's womb He has called my name; ² and He has made my mouth as a sharp sword, and He has hid me under the shadow of His hand; He has made me as a choice shaft, and He has hid me in His quiver; ³ and said to me, You are My servant, O Israel, and in you I will be glorified. ⁴ Then I said, I have labored in vain, I have given my strength for vanity and for nothing; therefore is my judgment with the Lord, and my labor before my God. ⁵ And now thus says the Lord, who formed me from the womb to be His own servant, to gather Jacob to Him and Israel. I shall be gathered and glorified before the Lord, and my God shall be my strength. ⁶ And He said to me, It is a great thing for you to be called My servant, to establish the tribes of Jacob, and to recover the dispersion of Israel; behold, I have given you for the covenant of a race, for a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the end of the earth. ⁷ Thus says the Lord that delivered you, the God of Israel, Sanctify him that despises his life, him that is abhorred by the nations that are the servants of princes; kings shall behold him, and princes shall arise, and shall worship him, for the Lord's sake; for the Holy One of Israel is faithful, and I have chosen you. ⁸ Thus says the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard you, and in a day of salvation have I helped you; and I have formed you, and given you for a covenant of the nations, to establish the earth, and to cause to inherit the desert heritages;

⁴ For just as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, ⁵ so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
