¹ Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow worker, ² to Apphia the beloved, and to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church at your house: ³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ⁴ I thank my God, always making mention of you in my prayers, ⁵ hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, ⁶ that the sharing of your faith may become effective in full knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus. ⁷ For we have much thanksgiving and encouragement over your love, because the affections of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother. ⁸ Therefore, having much boldness in Christ to command you what is fitting, ⁹ rather on account of love I appeal to you--being such a one as Paul, the elder, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ-- ¹⁰ I appeal to you for my child Onesimus, whom I begot in my bonds, ¹¹ who once was unprofitable to you, but now is useful to you and to me, ¹² whom I am sending back. You then receive him, that is, my very heart; ¹³ whom I wished to keep with myself, in order that on your behalf he might serve me in the bonds of the gospel. ¹⁴ But I wished to do nothing without your consent, in order that your good might not be by necessity, but by being voluntary. ¹⁵ For perhaps he was taken away for a time on account of this, in order that you might keep him eternally, ¹⁶ no longer as a slave but more than a slave--a beloved brother, especially to me but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. ¹⁷ If then you count me as a partner, receive him as me. ¹⁸ But if he has wronged you or owes anything, charge this to me. ¹⁹ I, Paul, am writing with my own hand. I will repay--lest I say to you that even yourself you owe to me! ²⁰ Yes, brother, may I have profit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord. ²¹ Having been persuaded of your obedience, I am writing to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say. ²² But meanwhile, also prepare for me a guestroom, for I hope that through your prayers I will be graciously given to you. ²³ Epaphras, my fellow captive in Christ Jesus, greets you, ²⁴ as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow workers. ²⁵ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

⁵ Now then, do not be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life. ⁶ For this second year there is famine on the earth, and there are yet five years remaining, in which there is to be neither plowing, nor mowing. ⁷ For God sent me before you, that there might be left to you a remnant upon the earth, even to nourish a great remnant of you. ⁸ Now then, you did not send me here, but God; and He has made me as a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and ruler of all the land of Egypt.

²⁰ You took counsel against me for evil, but God took counsel for me for good, that the matter might be as it is today, and many people might be fed.

⁶ And if your brother by your father or mother, or your son, or daughter, or your wife in your bosom, or friend who is equal to your own soul, entreat you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known,

¹ And David said, Is there yet anyone left from the house of Saul, that I may deal kindly with him for Jonathan's sake? ² And there was a servant of the house of Saul, and his name was Ziba. And they brought him to David. And the king said to him, Are you Ziba? And he said, I am your servant. ³ And the king said, Is there yet a man left of the house of Saul, that I may act towards him with the mercy of God? And Ziba said to the king, There is yet a son of Jonathan, lame in his feet. ⁴ And the king said, Where is he? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel of Lo Debar. ⁵ And King David went, and took him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel of Lo Debar. ⁶ And Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan the son of Saul came to the King David, and he fell upon his face and bowed down before him. And David said to him, Mephibosheth; and he said, Behold your servant. ⁷ And David said to him, Fear not, for I will surely deal mercifully with you for the sake of Jonathan your father, and I will restore to you all the land of Saul the father of your father; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.

¹¹ And David said to Abishai and to all his servants, Behold, my son who came forth out of my bowels seeks my life; still more now may the son of Benjamin: let him curse, because the Lord has told him.

⁵ And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Spare the young man Absalom for my sake. And all the people heard the king charging all the commanders concerning Absalom.

³⁷ Let your servant remain, I pray, and I will die in my city, by the tomb of my father and of my mother. And behold, your servant Chimham shall go over with my lord the king; and do to him as it seems good in your eyes. ³⁸ And the king said, Let Chimham go over with me, and I will do to him what is good in my sight; and whatsoever you shall choose at my hand, I will do for you.

¹⁷ And I know, O Lord, that You are He that searches the hearts, and You love righteousness. I have willingly offered all these things in simplicity of heart. And now I have seen with joy Your people, who are present here, willingly offering to You.

¹ But now the youngest have laughed me to scorn; now they reprove me in their turn, whose fathers I set at nought; whom I did not deem worthy to be with my shepherd dogs. ² Yea, why did I have the strength of their hands? For them the full term of life was lost.

³ On behalf of the saints that are in His land, He has magnified all His pleasure in them.

⁹ Do not cast me off at the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails.

¹⁸ even until I am old and advanced in years. O God, forsake me not; until I have declared Your mighty arm to all the generation that is to come;

¹⁰ For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to You, and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to You.

³ With You is dominion in the day of Your power, in the splendors of Your saints; I have begotten You from the womb before the morning.

⁶ And they that dwell in this island shall say in that day, Behold, we trusted to flee to them for help, who could not save themselves from the king of the Assyrians; and how shall we be saved?

⁴ I am He; and until you have grown old, I am He; I bear you, I have made, and I will relieve, I will take up and save you.

⁴ He bears our sins, and is pained for us; yet we accounted Him to be in trouble, and in suffering, and in affliction. ⁵ But He was wounded on account of our sins, and was bruised because of our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; everyone has gone astray in his way; and the Lord gave Him up for our sins. ⁷ And He, because of His affliction, opened not His mouth; He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so He opened not His mouth.

²⁰ Ephraim is a beloved son, a pleasing child to Me: for because My words are in him, I will surely remember him. Therefore I made haste to help him. I will surely have mercy upon him, says the Lord.

¹⁶ Thus let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works, and they may glorify your Father who is in heaven.

¹⁴ "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

⁵ And whoever receives one such little child in My name, receives Me.

²¹ Then Peter came to Him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" ²² Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy- seven times. ²³ Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. ²⁴ And when he began to settle up, one debtor was brought to him owing ten thousand talents. ²⁵ But since he had nothing with which to repay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and everything that he had, and to be repaid. ²⁶ Therefore falling down before him, the servant said, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will repay everything to you.' ²⁷ "And having compassion, the master of that servant released him, and forgave him the loan. ²⁸ But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. And taking hold of him, he was choking him, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!' ²⁹ "So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and kept begging him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you back.' ³⁰ "But he was not willing, but going off, he cast him into prison till he should pay back what was owed. ³¹ So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and they came and narrated to their master all that had taken place. ³² Then summoning him, his master said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. ³³ Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, as I also had compassion on you?' ³⁴ "And being angered, his master handed him over to the tormentors until he should pay all that was owed to him. ³⁵ Thus also My heavenly Father will do to you, if you do not forgive each one his brother their trespasses, from your hearts."

⁸ "But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brothers.

³⁰ And cast the useless servant into the darkness outside. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

⁴⁰ "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.'

¹⁷ Then one of the crowd answered and said, "Teacher, I brought my son to You, because he has a mute spirit.

²⁵ "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive, that your Father in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

²⁰ And he arose and went to his father. But when he was still far off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and he ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

²⁴ for this my son was dead and came to life, and he was lost and was found.' And they began to be merry.

³² But it was necessary to be merry and to rejoice, because your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.' "

¹⁰ So likewise you, whenever you do all the things having been commanded to you, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done what we ought to do.' "

¹⁷ And Ananias departed and entered the house; and putting his hands on him, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord has sent me, the One who appeared to you in the way which you were coming, so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."

³⁹ And arising, Peter went with them. When he arrived, they took him into the upper room, and all the widows stood beside him weeping, showing him tunics and cloaks which Dorcas was making, while being with them. ⁴⁰ But Peter, having put them all outside, knelt down and prayed. And turning to the body he said, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up. ⁴¹ And giving to her his hand, he raised her up; and when he called the saints and the widows, he presented her living.

¹² And realizing this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where a considerable number were gathered together and were praying.

²⁵ And Barnabas and Saul returned to Jerusalem, having fulfilled their ministry, taking along with them John also, whose surname was Mark.

¹³ Now Paul and his companions put to sea from Paphos, and came to Perga of Pamphylia; But John deserted them and returned to Jerusalem.

³⁷ But Barnabas desired to take along with them John called Mark. ³⁸ But Paul considered it fitting not to take along with them the one who withdrew from them in Pamphylia, and who had not gone together with them to the work. ³⁹ Therefore a sharp disagreement arose so that they were separated from one another. And Barnabas, taking along Mark, sailed to Cyprus.

¹⁵ And when she and her household were baptized, she urged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us.

²⁹ And the whole city was filled with confusion, and they rushed with one purpose into the theater, having seized Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians, traveling companions of Paul.

² And having boarded a ship of Adramyttium, scheduled to sail to the ports along the Asian coasts, we put to sea. Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.

²³ And having appointed for him a day, many came to him at his house, to whom he was explaining and solemnly testifying to the kingdom of God, and persuading them of the things concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning till evening.

⁷ To all those who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

¹² All have turned aside; together they became unprofitable; there is not one doing kindness, there is not so much as one."

¹ Therefore, brothers, I exhort you through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your intelligent service.

¹³ sharing in the needs of the saints, pursuing hospitality.

²⁴ whenever I travel to Spain, I shall come to you. For I hope while traveling through to see you, and to be sent forward there by you, if I may be filled in part from you first. ²⁵ But now I am traveling to Jerusalem ministering to the saints. ²⁶ For Macedonia and Achaia thought it good to make some contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

³⁰ Now I beg you, brothers, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in prayers to God on my behalf, ³¹ that I may be delivered from those in Judea who do not believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, ³² so that in joy I may come to you through the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.

⁵ And greet the church that is in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia to Christ.

⁷ Greet Andronicus and Junia, my relatives and my fellow captives, who are notable among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

²⁰ And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

²³ Gaius, my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, the brother.

⁹ For we are coworkers with God; you are God's field, you are God's building.

¹⁵ For though you might have ten thousand tutors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

²² For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord's free man. Likewise he who is called as a free man is Christ's slave.

¹ Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? ² If I am not an apostle to others, yet indeed I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

⁷ Who ever serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink from the milk of the flock?

¹⁷ For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if unwillingly, I have been entrusted with a commission.

²⁵ And so the secrets of his heart become clear; and so, falling down on his face, he will worship God, reporting that God is truly among you!

¹ Now concerning the collection which is for the saints, as I directed to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also:

¹⁷ I rejoice over the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, for what was lacking on your part they have supplied.

¹⁹ The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in the Lord, together with the church that is in their house.

²¹ The salutation with my own hand--Paul's. ²² If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema. Marana tha!

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God which is at Corinth, together with all the saints who are in all Achaia:

¹¹ you also laboring together for us in prayer, that thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf for the gift given to us through many.

²⁴ Not that we lord it over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.

² For if I make you sorrowful, then who is he who makes me glad if not the one which is made sorrowful by me? ³ And I wrote this very thing to you, lest when I came, I should have sorrow from those from whom I ought to have joy, having confidence in you all that my joy is the joy of you all.

² You are our letter, having been written in our hearts, being known and being read by all men;

²⁰ Now then, we serve as ambassadors for Christ, as though God were appealing through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.

²² And we sent together with them our brother whom we often approved in many things, being diligent, but now being much more diligent, by his great confidence in you. ²³ If anyone inquires about Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker concerning you; or if our brothers are inquired about, they are messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ.

⁵ Therefore I thought it necessary to urge the brothers, that they should go before me to you, and should arrange in advance your generous gift, which you had previously promised, that this would be ready, thus as a blessing and not as grudgingly given.

⁷ Let each one give just as he decides in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

¹² Because the ministry of this service not only is supplying the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, ¹³ while through the approved character of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for the generosity of your sharing toward them and toward all, ¹⁴ and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

¹ Now I, Paul, myself appeal to you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who face to face am lowly among you, but when I am away am bold toward you. ² But I beseech you that when I am present I may not be bold with the confidence with which I plan to be bold toward some, who consider us as walking according to the flesh.

⁸ For even if I should boast somewhat more concerning our authority, which the Lord gave us for edification and not for your destruction, I will not be ashamed,

²¹ To our shame, I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold (I speak foolishly) I am bold also.

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

¹⁹ My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you!

²⁸ But we, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. ²⁹ But just as then the one who was born according to the flesh persecuted the one born according to the Spirit, so it is also now.

² Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.

¹⁰ I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will be intent on nothing else; but he who troubles you will bear his judgment, whoever he may be.

¹⁸ Brothers, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

¹⁵ Because of this I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, ¹⁶ do not cease to give thanks concerning you, making mention of you in my prayers:

¹ For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles--

⁶ that the Gentiles should be joint-heirs, and of the same body, and joint-partakers in His promise in Christ by the gospel,

¹ Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,

³² And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as also God in Christ forgave us.

⁴ neither wickedness, nor foolish talk or coarse jesting, which are not proper, but rather thanksgiving.

⁵ Slaves, obey your masters according to the flesh with fear and trembling, in simplicity of heart, as to Christ; ⁶ not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God wholeheartedly, ⁷ with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men,

²⁰ for the sake of which I serve as an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I must speak.

³ I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

⁷ just as it is right for me to think this concerning you all, because I have you in my heart, both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. ⁸ For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ. ⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all perception, ¹⁰ that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, ¹¹ having been filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

¹⁹ For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

²⁵ And having been persuaded of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith, ²⁶ that your boasting may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my coming again to you.

¹ Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and acts of compassion, ² fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being united in spirit, intending the same purpose,

²⁴ But I have been persuaded in the Lord that I myself will also come shortly. ²⁵ Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to my needs;

³⁰ because for the work of Christ he drew near unto death, being careless with his life, in order that he might fill up that which was lacking in your service to me.

¹ Therefore, my beloved and longed for brothers, my joy and crown, in this way stand fast in the Lord, beloved.

³ Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women who labored together with me in the gospel, and with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

⁸ Finally, brothers, as many things as are true, as many as are honorable, as many as are just, as many as are pure, as many as are lovely--if there is any virtue and if there is any praise--meditate on these things.

³ We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, ⁴ when we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love which is towards all the saints;

⁷ just as also you learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ for you,

⁹ On account of this we also, since the day we heard, do not cease praying for you, and asking that you may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

²² Bondservants, obey your masters according to the flesh in all things, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.

⁹ with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will make known to you all the things happening here. ¹⁰ Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, with Mark the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you received instructions: if he comes to you, receive him), ¹¹ and Jesus who is called Justus. These alone are my fellow workers for the kingdom of God who are of the circumcision; they have proved to be a comfort to me. ¹² Epaphras greets you, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, always struggling for you in his prayers, that you may stand mature and complete in all the will of God.

¹⁴ Luke the beloved physician greets you, also Demas. ¹⁵ Greet the brothers who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church in his house.

¹⁷ And say to Archippus, "Take heed to the ministry which you received in the Lord, that you fulfill it."

² We give thanks to God always concerning you all, making mention of you in our prayers, ³ constantly remembering your work of faith, labor of love, and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father,

² But suffering before and being spitefully treated at Philippi, just as you know, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much conflict.

⁶ Nor seeking glory from men, neither from you, nor from others, even though we were able to carry weight as apostles of Christ.

¹³ Because of this we also give thanks to God unceasingly, so that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you received not the word of men, but just as it truly is, the word of God, which also is at work in you who believe.
