⁴ One thing have I asked of the Lord, this will I earnestly seek; that I should dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, that I should behold the fair beauty of the Lord, and survey His temple.

¹⁰ For one day in Your courts is better than thousands. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of God, than dwell in the tents of sinners.

¹³ They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

²¹ And she makes proclamation on the top of the walls, and sits by the gates of princes; and at the gates of the city boldly says,

³ For if you shall call to wisdom, and utter your voice for understanding; ⁴ and if you shall seek it as silver, and search diligently for it as for treasures;

¹³ Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, and the mortal who knows prudence.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life to all that lay hold of her, and she is a secure help to all that stay themselves on her, as on the Lord.

²⁴ "Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them, I will compare him to a wise man who built his house upon the rock:

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

³⁹ And the woman had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and was listening to His word.

²⁸ But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

³¹ Then Jesus said to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you abide in My word, truly you are My disciples. ³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free."

⁴² And they were continuing in the teaching of the apostles, and in fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

¹¹ And these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, who received the word with all readiness, each day examining the Scriptures to see whether these things might be so. ¹² Therefore many of them believed, and not a few of the prominent Greek women and men.

²² But become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. ²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴ for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot what sort of man he was. ²⁵ But the one who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one shall be blessed in what he does.
