¹ For the end, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims the work of His hands. ² Day to day utters speech, and night to night proclaims knowledge. ³ There are no speeches or words, in which their voices are not heard. ⁴ Their voice is gone out into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world. ⁵ In the sun He has set His tabernacle; and He came forth as a bridegroom out of His chamber; He will exalt as a giant to run His course. ⁶ His going forth is from the extremity of heaven, and His circuit to the other end of heaven; and no one shall be hidden from His heat. ⁷ The law of the Lord is perfect, converting souls; the testimony of the Lord is faithful, instructing babes. ⁸ The ordinances of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is bright, enlightening the eyes. ⁹ The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, and justified altogether. ¹⁰ To be desired more than gold, and much precious stone; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. ¹¹ For Your servant keeps to them; in the keeping of them there is great reward. ¹² Who will understand his transgressions? Purge me from my secret sins. ¹³ And spare Your servant from the attack of strangers; if they do not gain the dominion over me, then shall I be blameless, and I shall be clear from great sin. ¹⁴ So shall the sayings of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be pleasing continually before You, O Lord my helper, and my redeemer.

⁶ And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the water, and let it be a division between water and water, and it was so. ⁷ And God made the firmament, and God divided between the water which was under the firmament and the water which was above the firmament. ⁸ And God called the firmament Heaven, and God saw that it was good, and there was evening and there was morning, the second day.

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, to divide between day and night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and for years. ¹⁵ And let them be for light in the firmament of the heaven, so as to shine upon the earth, and it was so.

³ For I will regard the heavens, the work of Your fingers; the moon and stars, which You have established.

⁶ By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

⁶ And the heavens shall declare His righteousness; for God is Judge. Pause.

¹⁶ The heaven of heavens belongs to the Lord; but He has given the earth to the sons of men.

³ Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you stars and light. ⁴ Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, and the water that is above the heavens.

¹ Alleluia. Praise God in His holy places; praise Him in the firmament of His power. ² Praise Him on account of His mighty acts; praise Him according to His abundant greatness.

²² It is He that comprehends the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants in it are as grasshoppers; He that set up the heaven as a chamber, and stretched it out as a tent to dwell in; ²³ He that appoints princes to rule as nothing, and has made the earth as nothing. ²⁴ For they shall not plant, neither shall they sow, neither shall their root be fixed in the ground; He has blown upon them, and they have withered, and a storm shall carry them away like sticks. ²⁵ Now then to whom have you compared Me, that I may be exalted? Says the Holy One. ²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and see, who has displayed all these things? Even He that brings forth His host by number; He shall call them all by name by means of His great glory, and by the power of His might; nothing has escaped you.

¹¹ Thus shall you say to them: Let the gods which have not made heaven and earth perish from off the earth, and from under this sky. ¹² It is the Lord that made the earth by His strength, who set up the world by His wisdom, and by His understanding stretched out the sky,

³ And the wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and some of the many righteous as the stars forever and ever.

¹⁹ Because that which is known of God is manifest among them, for God has shown it to them. ²⁰ For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things made, both His eternal power and Divinity, so that they are without excuse.

¹⁷ And God placed them in the firmament of the heaven, so as to shine upon the earth, ¹⁸ and to regulate day and night, and to divide between the light and the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

²² All the days of the earth, seed and harvest, cold and heat, summer and spring, shall not cease by day or night.

²⁰ Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, having taken a timbrel in her hand, then there went forth all the women after her with timbrels and dances. ²¹ And Miriam led them, saying, Let us sing to the Lord, for He has been very greatly glorified: the horse and rider has He cast into the sea.

⁷ Lift up your gates, you princes, and be lifted up, you everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. ⁸ Who is this King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle! ⁹ Lift up your gates, you princes; and be lifted up, you everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. ¹⁰ Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is this King of glory!

¹⁶ The day is Yours, and the night is Yours; You have prepared the sun and the moon.

³ All which we have heard and known, and our fathers have declared to us. ⁴ They were not hid from their children to a second generation; the fathers declaring the praises of the Lord, and His mighty acts, and His wonders which He has done. ⁵ And He raised up a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, to make it known to their children; ⁶ that another generation might know, even the sons which should be born; and they should arise and declare them to their children.

¹ A Song of Degrees. Behold now, bless the Lord, all the servants of the Lord, who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God. ² Lift up your hands by night in the sanctuaries, and bless the Lord. ³ May the Lord, who made heaven and earth, bless you out of Zion.

⁸ The sun to rule by day; for His mercy endures forever. ⁹ The moon and the stars to rule the night; for His mercy endures forever.

¹² young men and virgins, old men with youths;

¹⁹ The living shall bless You, as I also do; for from this day shall I beget children, who shall declare Your righteousness,

¹⁹ and lest having looked up to the sky, and having seen the sun and the moon and the stars, and all the heavenly bodies, you should go astray and worship them, and serve them, which the Lord your God has distributed to all the nations under heaven.

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, to divide between day and night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and for years. ¹⁵ And let them be for light in the firmament of the heaven, so as to shine upon the earth, and it was so. ¹⁶ And God made two great lights, the greater light for regulating the day, and the lesser light for regulating the night; the stars also.

³ He has remembered His mercy to Jacob, and His truth to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

⁶ And He said to me, It is a great thing for you to be called My servant, to establish the tribes of Jacob, and to recover the dispersion of Israel; behold, I have given you for the covenant of a race, for a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the end of the earth.

² But to you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise, and healing shall be in His wings: and you shall go forth, and bound as young calves let loose from bonds.

¹⁸ But I say, have they not heard? Yes, indeed they have: "Their voice went out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world."

¹³ But we will not boast beyond limits, but according to the measure of the sphere of influence which God assigned us as a measure, to reach even as far as you. ¹⁴ For we are not overextending ourselves, as though our authority did not reach to you, for it was to you that we came with the gospel of Christ; ¹⁵ not boasting beyond the limits in the labors of others, but having hope, that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you according to our sphere of influence, ¹⁶ to preach the gospel to the regions beyond you, and not to boast in the things done in the sphere of influence of others.

⁵ And the sun arises, and the sun goes down and draws toward its place;

¹⁰ and they shall greatly rejoice in the Lord. Let my soul rejoice in the Lord; for He has clothed me with the robe of salvation, and the garment of joy; He has put a turban on me as on a bridegroom, and adorned me with ornaments as a bride.

⁵ And as a young man lives with a virgin, so shall your sons dwell in you; and it shall come to pass that as a bridegroom will rejoice over a bride, so will the Lord rejoice over you.

²⁹ "He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the voice of the bridegroom. Therefore my joy has been fulfilled.

²⁴ Do you not know that those running in a stadium all run, but one receives the prize? So run, in order that you may win. ²⁵ And everyone who competes exercises self-control in all things. Now they compete in order that they may receive a perishable crown, but we compete for an imperishable crown. ²⁶ Therefore I run thus: not as without a goal, thus I box: not as one beating the air.

¹³ Brothers, I do not count myself to have laid hold; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, ¹⁴ I press toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

¹ So therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every impediment, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, ² looking unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹⁴ A cloud is His hiding place, and He shall not be seen; and He passes through the circle of heaven.

³ For let none think that there is a respite for robbers: and upon whom will there not come a snare from Him?

³ From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.

⁹ If I should spread my wings to fly straight forward, and sojourn at the extremity of the sea, it would be vain,

²³ if indeed you continue in the faith, having been founded and firm and not drifting away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was proclaimed to all creation under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

⁶ And these words, all that I command you this day, shall be in your heart and in your soul. ⁷ And you shall teach them to your children, and you shall speak of them sitting in the house, and walking by the way, and lying down, and rising up. ⁸ And you shall fasten them for a sign upon your hand, and it shall be immovable before your eyes. ⁹ And you shall write them on the lintels of your houses and of your gates.

¹⁸ And when he shall be established in his government, then shall he write for himself this repetition of the law into a book by the hands of the priests the Levites; ¹⁹ and it shall be with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the Lord your God, and to keep all these commandments, and to observe these ordinances; ²⁰ that his heart be not lifted up above his brothers, that he depart not from the commandments on the right hand or on the left; that he and his sons may reign long in his dominion among the children of Israel.

⁴ As for God, His works are true, and all His ways are judgment: God is faithful, and there is no unrighteousness in Him; just and holy is the Lord.

⁸ And the Book of this Law shall not depart from your mouth, and you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may know how to do all the things that are written in it; then shall you prosper, and make your ways prosperous, and then shall you be wise.

⁵ For my house is not so with the Mighty One; for He has made an everlasting covenant with me, ready, guarded at every time; for all my salvation and all my desire is, that the wicked should not flourish.

¹² neither shall I transgress; but I have hid His words in my bosom.

³⁰ As for my God, His way is perfect: the oracles of the Lord are tried in the fire; He is a protector of all them that hope in Him.

³ He has restored my soul; He has guided me into the paths of righteousness, for His name's sake.

¹ A Psalm of instruction, of Asaph. Give heed, O my people, to my law; incline your ear to the words of my mouth. ² I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter dark sayings which have been from the beginning. ³ All which we have heard and known, and our fathers have declared to us. ⁴ They were not hid from their children to a second generation; the fathers declaring the praises of the Lord, and His mighty acts, and His wonders which He has done. ⁵ And He raised up a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, to make it known to their children; ⁶ that another generation might know, even the sons which should be born; and they should arise and declare them to their children. ⁷ That they might set their hope on God, and not forget the works of God, but diligently seek His commandments.

⁵ Your testimonies are made very sure; holiness becomes Your house, O Lord, forever.

⁷ The works of His hands are truth and judgment; all His commandments are sure;

⁹ How shall a young man direct his way? By keeping Your words.

¹⁴ I have delighted in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches.

²⁴ For Your testimonies are my meditation, and Your statutes are my counselors.

⁷² The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver.

⁹⁶ I have seen an end of all perfection; but Your commandment is very broad. ⁹⁷ How I have loved Your law, O Lord! It is my meditation all the day. ⁹⁸ You have made me wiser than my enemies in Your commandment; for it is mine forever. ⁹⁹ I have more understanding than all my teachers; for Your testimonies are my meditation. ¹⁰⁰ I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out Your commandments.

¹⁰⁵ Your law is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my paths.

¹¹¹ I have inherited Your testimonies forever; for they are the joy of my heart.

¹²⁷ Therefore have I loved Your commandments more than gold, or topaz. ¹²⁸ Therefore I directed myself according to all Your commandments; I have hated every unjust way.

¹³⁰ The manifestation of Your words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.

¹⁵² I have known of old concerning Your testimonies, that You have founded them forever.

¹⁹ He sends His word to Jacob, His ordinances and judgments to Israel. ²⁰ He has not done so to any other nation; and He has not shown them His judgments.

⁴ that he might give prudence to the simple, and to the young man discernment and understanding.

²² So long as the simple cleave to justice, they shall not be ashamed: but the foolish being lovers of haughtiness, having become ungodly have hated knowledge, and have become subject to reproofs. ²³ Behold, I will bring forth to you the utterance of my breath, and I will instruct you in my speech.

¹⁶ Then those who seal themselves, that they may not learn the law, shall be made manifest.

²⁰ For He has given the law for a help, that they should not speak according to this word, concerning which there are no gifts to give for it.

³² And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. ³³ He who receives His testimony has certified that God is true.

³⁹ You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about Me.

⁴³ To Him all the prophets bear witness, that through His name, everyone believing in Him shall receive forgiveness of sins."

² Much in every way! First of all, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.

² And do not fashion yourselves after this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and well pleasing and perfect will of God.

⁴ For as many things as were previously written, were written for our own instruction, that through the patience and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope.

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

⁸ Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but endure hardship with the gospel according to the power of God,

¹⁹ Nevertheless the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those that are His," and, "Let everyone naming the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness."

¹⁵ and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, ¹⁷ that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.

¹⁸ in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement, who have fled to take hold of the hope being set before us; ¹⁹ which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and secure, and which enters into the inner side of the veil,

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

²¹ Therefore laying aside all filthiness and abundance of evil, in meekness receive the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. ²² But become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. ²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴ for he observed himself and has gone away, and immediately forgot what sort of man he was. ²⁵ But the one who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one shall be blessed in what he does.

⁹ If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; because this is the testimony of God which He has testified concerning His Son. ¹⁰ He that believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; he that does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony which God has testified concerning His Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony: that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² He that has the Son has life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have life.

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See that you do not! I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

⁵ Because Abraham your father listened to My voice, and kept My injunctions, My commandments, My ordinances, and My statutes.

¹⁶ For whenever there is a dispute among them, and they come to me, I give judgment upon each, and I teach them the ordinances of God and His law.

⁵ Behold, I have shown you the statutes and judgments as the Lord has commanded me, that you should do so in the land into which you go, to inherit it. ⁶ And you shall keep and do them: for this is your wisdom and understanding before all nations, as many as shall hear all these ordinances; and they shall say, Behold, this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

¹¹ And there shall be a place which the Lord your God shall choose for His name to be called there, from which shall you bring all things that I order you this day; your whole burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the firstfruits of your hands, and every choice gift of yours, whatsoever you shall vow to the Lord your God. ¹² And you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you and your sons, and your daughters, and your male servants and your female servants, and the Levite that is at your gates; because he has no portion or inheritance with you.

¹¹ And you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you and your son, and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow which dwells among you, in whatsoever place the Lord your God shall choose, that His name should be called there.

¹⁴ And you shall rejoice in your feast, you, and your son, and your daughter, your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow that is in your cities.

¹² So all the people departed to eat and drink, to send portions and rejoice greatly, for they understood the words which he made known to them.

¹³ Also You came down upon Mount Sinai, and You spoke to them out of heaven, and gave them right judgments, and laws of truth, ordinances, and good commandments.

⁶ The oracles of the Lord are pure oracles; as silver tried in the fire, proved in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

³ Look on me, hearken to me, O Lord my God: lighten my eyes, lest I sleep in death;

⁸ I desired to do Your will, O my God, and Your law in the midst of my heart.

⁴⁵ that they might keep His ordinances, and diligently seek His law.

¹² Blessed are You, O Lord; teach me Your statutes.

¹⁶ I will meditate on Your statutes; I will not forget Your words.

⁴⁰ Behold, I have desired Your commandments; revive me in Your righteousness.

⁵⁴ Your statutes were my sons in the place of my sojourning.

⁸⁰ Let my heart be blameless regarding Your statutes, that I may not be ashamed.

⁹² Were it not that Your law is my meditation, then I should have perished in my affliction.

¹²¹ I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.

¹²⁸ Therefore I directed myself according to all Your commandments; I have hated every unjust way.

¹⁴³ Afflictions and distresses found me; but Your commandments were my meditation.

¹⁷¹ Let my lips utter a hymn, when You shall have taught me Your statutes.

⁶ For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His presence come knowledge and understanding,

²³ For the commandment of the law is a lamp and a light; a way of life; reproof also and correction:

⁵ For all the words of God are tried in the fire, and He defends those that reverence Him.

⁵ For these blessings shall happen to them that work righteousness, and they shall remember Your ways; behold, You were angry and we have sinned; therefore we have erred,

¹⁶ Consume them, and Your word shall be to me for the joy and gladness of my heart. For Your name has been called upon me, O Lord Almighty.

²⁷ And I will put My Spirit in you, and will cause you to walk in My ordinances, and to keep My judgments, and do them.

¹⁷ Behold, you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and boast in God, ¹⁸ and know His will, and approve the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law, ¹⁹ and are persuaded that you are a guide to the blind, a light to those in darkness, ²⁰ an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

²⁰ Therefore by works of the law no flesh shall be justified in His sight, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

⁷ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known lust unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."

¹² Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy and righteous and good. ¹³ Then has that which is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through that which is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. ¹⁴ For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, having been sold under sin.

²² For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.

¹⁹ For I through the law died to the law, that I might live to God.

¹⁰ For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all the things which are written in the book of the law, to do them." ¹¹ But that no one is justified by the law before God is evident, for "The just shall live by faith." ¹² But the law is not of faith, but "the man who does them shall live by them." ¹³ Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us, for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"

²¹ Therefore, is the law against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given which was able to give life, truly righteousness would have been by the law.

¹² And He said, Lay not your hand upon the child, neither do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, and for My sake you have not spared your beloved son.

¹⁸ And he said to them on the third day, Do this, and you shall live, for I fear God.

¹ And these are the ordinances which you shall set before them:

⁸ And what manner of nation is so great, which has righteous statutes and judgments according to all this law, which I set before you this day?

²⁴ Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth and with all your heart, for you see what great things He has done for you.

³ And Ahab called Obadiah the steward. Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly. ⁴ And it came to pass when Jezabel had killed the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah took a hundred prophets, and hid them by fifties in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.

¹² And it shall come to pass when I shall have departed from you, that the Spirit of the Lord shall carry you to a land which I know not, and I shall go in to tell the matter to Ahab, and he will not find you, and he will slay me; yet your servant fears the Lord from his youth.

¹⁵ But as for the former acts of extortion in which those who were before me oppressed them, they even took of them their last money, forty shekels for bread and wine; and the very outcasts of them exercised authority over the people; but I did not so, because of the fear of God.

⁵ His ways are profane at all times; Your judgments are removed from before him: he will gain the mastery over all his enemies.

¹¹ Come, you children, hear me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. ¹² What man is there that desires life, loving to see good days? ¹³ Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile. ¹⁴ Turn away from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

¹ For the end, A Psalm, by David the servant of the Lord. The transgressor, that he may sin, says within himself, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

⁶ Your righteousness is as the mountains of God, Your judgments are as a great deep; O Lord, You will preserve men and beasts.

¹ For Solomon. O God, give Your judgment to the king, and Your righteousness to the king's son; ² that he may judge Your people with righteousness, and Your poor with judgment.

¹⁰ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and all that act accordingly have a good understanding; His praise endures forever and ever.

¹³ He has blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

¹ Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

⁷ I will give You thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learned the judgments of Your righteousness.

³⁹ Take away my reproach which I have feared; for Your judgments are good.

⁶² At midnight I arose, to give thanks to You for the judgments of Your righteousness.

⁷⁵ I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are righteousness, and that You in truthfulness have afflicted me.

¹⁰⁶ I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of Your righteousness.

¹³⁷ Righteous are You, O Lord, and upright are Your judgments. ¹³⁸ You have commanded righteousness and perfect truth, as Your testimonies.

¹⁴² Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth.

¹⁹ He sends His word to Jacob, His ordinances and judgments to Israel.

¹³ The fear of the Lord hates unrighteousness, insolence, pride, and the ways of wicked men; and I hate the perverse ways of bad men.

⁸ For the way of the Lord is judgment; we have hoped in Your name, and on the remembrance of You,

²² And they said, "Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and fearing God, having a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was given a revelation by a holy angel to send for you to his house, and to hear words from you."

² But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those practicing such things.

¹⁰ Just as it is written: "There is none righteous, no not one, ¹¹ There is none who understands; there is none who seeks God. ¹² All have turned aside; together they became unprofitable; there is not one doing kindness, there is not so much as one." ¹³ "Their throat is an opened grave; with their tongues they deceived"; " the poison of asps is under their lips"; ¹⁴ "Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. ¹⁵ Their feet are swift to shed blood; ¹⁶ Ruin and misery are in their ways; ¹⁷ And the way of peace they did not know. ¹⁸ There is no fear of God before their eyes."

²² Behold then the kindness and severity of God: upon those that fell, severity; but upon you, kindness, if you continue in His kindness. Otherwise you also shall be cut off.

³ And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Righteous and true are Your ways, O King of the nations!

⁷ And I heard the altar saying, "Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."

² For true and righteous are His judgments, for He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged the blood of His servants shed by her hand."

²⁶ And the people went into the place of the bees, and behold, they continued speaking; but there was none that put his hand to his mouth, for the people feared the oath of the Lord. ²⁷ And Jonathan had not heard when his father adjured the people; and he reached forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and dipped it into the honeycomb, and returned his hand to his mouth, and his eyes recovered their sight. ²⁸ And one of the people answered and said, Your father solemnly adjured the people, saying, Cursed is the man who shall eat bread today. And the people were very faint, ²⁹ and Jonathan knew it, and said, My father has destroyed the land: see how my eyes have received sight now that I have tasted a little of this honey.

¹⁵ One shall not give fine gold instead of it, neither shall silver be weighed in exchange for it. ¹⁶ Neither shall it be compared with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx and sapphire. ¹⁷ Gold and crystal shall not be equaled to it, neither shall vessels of gold be its exchange.

⁵ Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; and my joyful lips shall praise Your name.

¹⁰³ How sweet are Your oracles to my taste! More so than honey to my mouth!

¹²⁷ Therefore have I loved Your commandments more than gold, or topaz.

¹³ Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, and the mortal who knows prudence. ¹⁴ For it is better to traffic for her, than for treasures of gold and silver. ¹⁵ And she is more valuable than precious stones: no evil thing shall resist her. She is well known to all that approach her, and no precious thing is equal to her in value.

¹⁰ Receive instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. ¹¹ For wisdom is better than precious stones; and no valuable substance is of equal worth with it.

¹⁹ It is better to have my fruit than to have gold and precious stones; and my produce is better than choice silver.

¹⁶ The brood of wisdom is more to be chosen than gold, and the brood of prudence more to be chosen than silver.

¹³ My son, eat honey, for the honeycomb is good, that your mouth may be sweetened.

¹⁰ Whatsoever man of your brethren that dwell in their cities shall bring the cause that comes before you, between blood and blood, and between precept and commandment, and ordinances and judgments, you shall even decide for them; so they shall not sin against the Lord, and there shall not be wrath upon you, and upon your brethren. Thus you shall do, and you shall not sin.

¹¹ I have hidden Your oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

¹⁶ For length of days and years of life are in her right hand, and in her left hand are wealth and glory. ^(3:16A) Out of her mouth proceeds righteousness, and she carries law and mercy upon her tongue. ¹⁷ Her ways are good ways, and all her paths are peaceful. ¹⁸ She is a tree of life to all that lay hold of her, and she is a secure help to all that stay themselves on her, as on the Lord.

²² Whenever you walk, lead this along and let it be with you, that it may talk with you when you wake. ²³ For the commandment of the law is a lamp and a light; a way of life; reproof also and correction:

¹⁸ An ungodly man performs unrighteous works, but the seed of the righteous is a reward of truth.

¹⁸ There shall be no interpreter to a sinful nation, but he that observes the law is blessed.

¹⁰ Woe to their soul, for they have devised an evil counsel against themselves, saying against themselves, Let us bind the just, for he is burdensome to us; therefore shall they eat the fruits of their works. ¹¹ Woe to the transgressor! Evils shall happen to him according to the works of his hands.

¹⁷ I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; and you shall hear a word from My mouth, and shall threaten them from Me. ¹⁸ When I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; and you have not warned him, to give warning to the wicked, to turn from his ways, that he should live; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at your hand. ¹⁹ But if you warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, and from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, and you shall deliver your soul. ²⁰ And when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits a trespass, and I shall bring punishment before him, he shall die, because you did not warn him: he shall even die in his sins, because his righteousness shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at your hand. ²¹ But if you warn the righteous not to sin, and he sin not, the righteous shall surely live, because you have warned him; and you shall deliver your own soul.

³ and he shall see the sword coming upon the land, and blow the trumpet, and sound an alarm to the people; ⁴ and he that hears the sound of the trumpet shall hear, and yet not take heed, and the sword shall come upon him, and overtake him, his blood shall be upon his own head. ⁵ Because he heard the sound of the trumpet, and took no heed, his blood shall be upon him. But the other, because he took heed, has delivered his soul. ⁶ But if the watchman sees the sword coming, and does not sound the trumpet, and the people do not watch; and the sword comes, and takes a soul from among them, that soul is taken because of its iniquity; but the blood thereof will I require at the watchman' hand. ⁷ And you, son of man, I have set you as a watchman for the house of Israel, and you shall hear a word from My mouth. ⁸ When I say to the sinner, You shall surely die; if you speak not to warn the wicked from his way, the wicked himself shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand. ⁹ But if you forewarn the wicked of his way, to turn from it, and he turn not from his way, he shall die in his ungodliness; but you have delivered your own soul.

⁷ But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

⁴ so that your charitable giving may be in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will Himself reward you openly.

⁶ But you, whenever you pray, enter into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you openly.

¹⁸ so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father in secret; and your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

³¹ Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years, night and day I did not cease, with tears, exhorting each one.

¹⁴ I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I admonish you.

¹⁴ Now we exhort you, brothers, admonish the disorderly, encourage the discouraged, be supportive of the weak, be patient toward all.

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please God, for it is necessary for the one approaching God to believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. ⁷ By faith Noah, having being warned By God concerning the things not yet seen, being reverent, prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, through which he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

²⁶ regarding the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.

²⁵ But the one who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one shall be blessed in what he does.

⁸ Look to yourselves, lest we should lose those things for which we worked, but that we should receive a full reward.

¹³ And I heard a voice out of heaven saying, "Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on,' "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow with them."

² Speak to the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin unwillingly before the Lord, in any of the commandments of the Lord concerning things which he ought not to do, and shall do some of them; ³ if the anointed priest should sin so as to cause the people to sin, then shall he bring for his sin, which he has sinned, an unblemished calf of the herd to the Lord for his sin. ⁴ And he shall bring the calf to the door of the tabernacle of witness before the Lord, and he shall put his hand on the head of the calf before the Lord, and shall slay the calf in the presence of the Lord. ⁵ And the anointed priest who has been consecrated, having received of the blood of the calf, shall then bring it into the tabernacle of witness. ⁶ And the priest shall dip his finger into the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before the Lord, over against the holy veil. ⁷ And the priest shall put of the blood of the calf on the horns of the altar of the compound incense which is before the Lord, which is in the tabernacle of witness; and all the blood of the calf shall he pour out by the foot of the altar of whole burnt offerings, which is by the doors of the tabernacle of witness. ⁸ and all the fat of the calf of the sin-offering shall he take off from it; the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards, ⁹ and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is on the thighs, and the fatty lobe that is on the liver with the kidneys, them shall he take away, ¹⁰ as he takes it away from the calf of the sacrifice of peace-offering, so shall the priest offer it on the altar of burnt offering. ¹¹ And they shall take the skin of the calf, and all his flesh with the head and the extremities and the belly and the dung, ¹² and they shall carry out the whole calf out of the camp into a clean place, where they pour out the ashes, and they shall consume it there on wood with fire: it shall be burned on the ashes poured out. ¹³ And if the whole congregation of Israel should trespass ignorantly, and a thing should escape the notice of the congregation, and they should do one thing forbidden of any of the commands of the Lord, which ought not to be done, and should transgress; ¹⁴ and the sin in which they have sinned should become known to them, then shall the congregation bring an unblemished calf of the herd for a sin-offering, and they shall bring it to the doors of the tabernacle of witness. ¹⁵ And the elders of the congregation shall lay their hands on the head of the calf before the Lord, and they shall slay the calf before the Lord. ¹⁶ And the anointed priest shall bring in of the blood of the calf into the tabernacle of witness. ¹⁷ And the priest shall dip his finger into some of the blood of the calf, and shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord, in front of the veil of the sanctuary. ¹⁸ And the priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of the incense of composition, which is before the Lord, which is in the tabernacle of witness; and he shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of whole burnt offerings, which is by the door of the tabernacle of witness. ¹⁹ And he shall take away all the fat from it, and shall offer it up on the altar. ²⁰ And he shall do to the calf as he did to the calf of the sin-offering, so shall it be done; and the priest shall make atonement for them, and the trespass shall be forgiven them. ²¹ And they shall carry forth the calf whole outside the camp, and they shall burn the calf as they burned the former calf: it is the sin-offering of the congregation. ²² And if a ruler should sin, and break one of all the commands of the Lord his God, doing that which ought not to be done, unwillingly, and shall sin and trespass, ²³ and his trespass in which he has sinned be known to him, then shall he offer for his gift a kid of the goats, a male without blemish. ²⁴ And he shall lay his hand on the head of the kid, and they shall kill it in the place were they kill the victims for whole burnt offerings before the Lord; it is a sin-offering. ²⁵ And the priest shall put some of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger on the horns of the altar of whole burnt offering; and he shall pour out all its blood by the bottom of the altar of whole burnt offerings. ²⁶ And he shall offer up all his fat on the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin, and it shall be forgiven him. ²⁷ And if a soul of the people of the land should sin unwillingly, in doing a thing contrary to any of the commandments of the Lord, which ought not to be done, and shall transgress, ²⁸ and his sin should be known to him, in which he has sinned, then shall he bring a kid of the goats, a female without blemish shall he bring for his sin, which he has sinned. ²⁹ And he shall lay his hand on the head of his sin-offering, and they shall slay the kid of the sin-offering in the place where they slay the victims for whole burnt offerings. ³⁰ And the priest shall take of its blood with his finger, and shall put it on the horns of the altar of whole burnt offerings; and all its blood he shall pour forth by the foot of the altar. ³¹ And he shall take away all the fat, as the fat is taken away from the sacrifice of peace-offering, and the priest shall offer it on the altar for an aroma of sweet savor to the Lord; and the priest shall make atonement for him, and his sin shall be forgiven him. ³² And if he should offer a lamb for his sin-offering, he shall offer it a female without blemish. ³³ And he shall lay his hand on the head of the sin-offerings, and they shall kill it in the place where they kill the victims for whole burnt offerings. ³⁴ And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin-offering with his finger, and shall put it on the horns of the altar of whole burnt offerings, and he shall pour out all its blood by the bottom of the altar of whole burnt offering. ³⁵ And he shall take away all his fat, as the fat of the lamb of the sacrifice of peace-offering is taken away, and the priest shall put it on the altar for a whole burnt offering to the Lord; and the priest shall make atonement for him for the sin which he sinned, and it shall be forgiven him.

²⁴ Teach me, and I will be silent: if in anything I have erred, tell me.

¹² For innumerable evils have encompassed me; my transgressions have taken hold of me, and I could not see; they are multiplied more than the hairs of my head; and my heart has failed me.

² Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

⁵ For behold, I was conceived in iniquities, and in sins did my mother conceive me. ⁶ For behold, You love truth; You have manifested to me the secret and hidden things of Your wisdom. ⁷ You shall sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be purified; You shall wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow. ⁸ You shall cause me to hear gladness and joy; my afflicted bones shall rejoice. ⁹ Turn away Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. ¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a steadfast spirit in my inward parts.

³ The words of transgressors have overpowered us; but You pardon our sins.

⁸ You have set our transgressions before You; our age is in the light of Your countenance.

² You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thoughts long before.

⁶ The knowledge of You is too wonderful for me; it is very difficult, I cannot attain to it.

²³ Prove me, O God, and know my heart; examine me, and know my paths; ²⁴ and see if there is any way of iniquity in me, and lead me in an everlasting way.

⁶ and we have all become as unclean, and all our righteousness is as a filthy rag; and we have fallen as leaves because of our iniquities; thus the wind shall carry us away.

⁹ The heart is deep beyond all things, and it constitutes the man, and who can know him?

⁴ For I am conscious of nothing, but I have not been justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord.

⁷ but into the second part the high priest goes alone once during the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself and for the people's sins committed in ignorance;

⁷ But if we are walking in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

⁶ And God said to him in his sleep, Yes, I knew that you did this with a pure heart, and I spared you, so that you should not sin against Me, therefore I did not let you touch her.

¹⁴ And if anyone lie in wait for his neighbor to slay him by craft, and he go for refuge, you shall take him from My altar to put him to death.

³⁰ And whatever soul either of the natives or of the strangers shall do anything with a presumptuous hand, he will provoke God; that soul shall be cut off from his people, ³¹ for he has despised the word of the Lord, and broken His commands; that soul shall be utterly destroyed, his sin is upon him.

¹² And any man that shall act in haughtiness, so as not to hearken to the priest who stands to minister in the name of the Lord your God, or the judge who shall preside in those days, that man shall die, and you shall remove the evil one out of Israel. ¹³ And all the people shall hear and fear, and shall no more commit impiety.

³² And David said to Abigail, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who sent you this very day to meet me. ³³ And blessed be your conduct, and blessed are you, who has hindered me this very day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself. ³⁴ But surely as the Lord God of Israel lives, who hindered me this day from doing you harm, if you had not hastened and come to meet me, then I said, Surely there shall not be one male left to Nabal till the morning.

³⁹ And David heard it and said, Blessed be the Lord, who has judged the cause of my reproach at the hand of Nabal, and has delivered his servant from the power of evil; and the Lord has returned the mischief of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and spoke concerning Abigail, to take her to himself for a wife.

¹³ So Saul died for his transgressions, wherein he transgressed against God, against the word of the Lord, forasmuch as he kept it not, because Saul inquired of a wizard to seek counsel, and Samuel the prophet answered him; ¹⁴ and he sought not the Lord. Therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom to David the son of Jesse.

¹⁰ My help is righteous, coming from God, who saves the upright in heart.

⁷ For the Lord is righteous, and loves righteousness; His face beholds uprightness.

²³ And I shall be blameless before Him, and shall keep myself from my iniquity.

¹¹ For the Lord loves mercy and truth; God will give grace and glory; the Lord will not withhold good things from them that walk in innocence.

¹³³ Order my steps according to Your word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

¹⁶ And in this I myself am engaging, having a conscience blameless toward God and men through everything.

¹² Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts, ¹³ nor present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. ¹⁴ For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

¹⁶ Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves to whom you obey, whether of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? ¹⁷ But thanks be to God, that though you used to be slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from your heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. ¹⁸ And having been freed from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness. ¹⁹ I speak in human terms on account of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness, and to lawlessness resulting in more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness resulting in sanctification. ²⁰ For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. ²¹ So what fruit did you have then of which things you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. ²² But now having been freed from sin, and having become enslaved to God, you have your fruit resulting in sanctification, and the end, eternal life.

¹⁰ and especially those who walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are bold, self-willed, illustrious persons, they do not tremble at blaspheming,

⁴ And Abel also brought of the firstborn of his sheep and of his fatlings. And God looked upon Abel and his gifts, ⁵ but Cain and his sacrifices He regarded not, and Cain was exceedingly sorrowful and his countenance fell.

²⁵ For I know that He is eternal who is about to deliver me,

¹ For the end, A Psalm of David, concerning her that inherits. Hearken to my words, O Lord, attend to my cry. ² Attend to the voice of my supplication, my King, and my God; for to You, O Lord, will I pray.

¹ For the end, A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord; the words which he spoke to the Lord, even the words of this song, in the day in which the Lord delivered him out the hand of all his enemies, and out the hand of Saul. And he said: I will love You, O Lord, my strength. ² The Lord is my firm support, and my refuge, and my deliverer; my God is my helper, I will hope in Him; He is my defender, and the horn of my salvation, and my helper.

¹⁵ O Lord, You shall open my lips; and my mouth shall declare Your praise.

¹⁸ If I have regarded iniquity in my heart, let not the Lord hearken to me. ¹⁹ Therefore God has hearkened to me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. ²⁰ Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.

³⁴ Let my meditation be sweet to Him, and I will rejoice in the Lord.

¹⁰⁸ Accept, O Lord, the freewill offerings of my mouth, and teach me Your judgments.

⁸ The sacrifices of the ungodly are an abomination to the Lord, but the prayers of them that walk honestly are acceptable to Him.

¹⁴ Thus says the Lord God that redeems you, the Holy One of Israel; for your sakes I will send to Babylon, and I will stir up all that flee, and the Chaldeans shall be bound in ships.

⁶ Thus says God the King of Israel, and the God of hosts that delivered him; I am the First and I am the Last; beside Me there is no God.

⁴ Your deliverer is the Lord of hosts, the Holy One of Israel is His name.

⁵ For it is the Lord that made you; the Lord of hosts is His name; and He that delivered you, He is the God of Israel, and shall be called so by the whole earth.

¹⁶ that I should be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God as a priest, so that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁰ and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the coming wrath.

¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people as His own possession, zealous for good works.

⁴ By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying concerning his gifts; and through it, although he died, he still speaks.

¹⁵ Therefore through Him let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, confessing to His name.

¹⁸ knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your futile way of life handed down from your forefathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb blameless and spotless,

⁵ you also, as living stones, are being built into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; because You were slain, and You redeemed us to God by Your blood, out of every tribe and language and people and nation;
