The account of my transgressions is far from my salvation. ² O my God, I will cry to You by day, but You will not hear; and by night, and it shall not be reckoned to me as folly. ³ But You, O praise of Israel, dwell in a sanctuary. ⁴ Our fathers hoped in You; they hoped, and You delivered them. ⁵ They cried to You, and were saved; they hoped in You, and were not ashamed. ⁶ But I am a worm, and not a man; a reproach of men, and the scorn of the people. ⁷ All that saw Me mocked Me; they spoke with their lips, they shook the head, saying, ⁸ He hoped in the Lord; let Him deliver Him, let Him save Him, because He takes pleasure in Him. ⁹ For You are He that drew Me out of the womb; My hope from My mother's breasts. ¹⁰ I was cast on You from the womb; You are My God from My mother's belly. ¹¹ Be not far from Me, for affliction is near; for there is no helper. ¹² Many bulls have compassed Me; fat bulls have beset Me round about. ¹³ They have opened their mouth against Me, as a ravening and roaring lion. ¹⁴ I am poured out like water, and all My bones are loosened; My heart in the midst of My belly has become like melting wax. ¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue is glued to My throat; and You have brought Me down to the dust of death. ¹⁶ For many dogs have compassed Me; the assembly of the evildoers has enclosed Me; they pierced My hands and My feet. ¹⁷ They counted all My bones; and they observed and looked upon Me. ¹⁸ They parted My garments among themselves, and cast lots for My clothing. ¹⁹ But You, O Lord, be not far from Me; be ready for My aid. ²⁰ Deliver My soul from the sword; My only begotten soul from the power of the dog. ²¹ Save Me from the lion's mouth; and regard My lowliness from the horns of the unicorns. ²² I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the church will I sing praise to You. ²³ You that fear the Lord, praise Him; all you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him; let all the seed of Israel fear Him. ²⁴ For He has not despised nor been angry at the supplication of the poor; nor turned away His face from Me; but when I cried to Him, He heard Me. ²⁵ My praise is of You in the great congregation; I will pay My vows before them that fear Him. ²⁶ The poor shall eat and be satisfied; and they shall praise the Lord that seek Him; their heart shall live forever. ²⁷ All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before Him. ²⁸ For the kingdom is the Lord's; and He is the governor of the nations. ²⁹ All the fat ones of the earth have eaten and worshipped; all that go down to the earth shall fall down before Him; my soul also lives to him. ³⁰ And my seed shall serve him; the generation that is coming shall be reported to the Lord. ³¹ And they shall report His righteousness to the people that shall be born, whom the Lord has made.

²² For the Lord will not cast off His people for His great name's sake, because the Lord graciously took you to Himself for a people.

²⁴ For my groaning comes before my food, and I weep, being beset with terror.

¹ Why do You stand afar off, O Lord? Why do You overlook us in times of need, in affliction?

¹ A writing of David. Keep me, O Lord; for I have hoped in You.

¹¹ Be not far from Me, for affliction is near; for there is no helper.

¹⁶ For many dogs have compassed Me; the assembly of the evildoers has enclosed Me; they pierced My hands and My feet.

⁹ Destroy not my soul together with the ungodly, nor my life with bloody men;

¹⁴ But I hoped in You, O Lord; I said, You are my God. ¹⁵ My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hand of my enemies, ¹⁶ and from them that persecute me. Make Your face to shine upon Your servant; save me in Your mercy.

³ Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day. ⁴ For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in me. Pause.

²⁸ For the Lord loves judgment, and will not forsake His saints; they shall be preserved forever; the blameless shall be avenged, but the seed of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.

⁸ I have been afflicted and brought down exceedingly; I have roared for the groaning of my heart.

¹ For the end, A Psalm of instruction, for the sons of Korah. As the deer earnestly desires the fountains of water, so my soul earnestly longs for You, O God. ² My soul has thirsted for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?

¹ A Psalm of David. Judge me, O God, and plead my cause, against an ungodly nation; deliver me from the unjust and crafty; ² for You are my strength; why have You cast me off? And why do I go mourning, while the enemy oppresses me? ³ Send forth Your light and Your truth; they have led me, and brought me to Your holy mountain, and to Your tabernacle. ⁴ And I will go in to the altar of God, to God who gladdens my youth; I will give thanks to You on the harp, O God, my God. ⁵ Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you trouble me? Hope in God; for I will give thanks to Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

¹¹ saying, God has forsaken him: persecute him, and take him; for there is none to deliver him.

¹³ I have brought near My righteousness, and I will not be slow with the salvation that is from Me; I have given salvation in Zion to Israel for glory.

¹¹ They shall proceed together as a bear and as a dove; we have waited for judgment, and there is no salvation, it is gone far from us.

⁴⁶ And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lima sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

³⁴ And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi, Eloi, lima sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

⁴⁴ And being in agony, He prayed more fervently. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down onto the ground.

⁴⁴ Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me."

⁷ who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up both prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears to the One who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His fear of God,

⁵ Let your way of life be without loving money, being satisfied with what you have. For He Himself has said, "By no means shall I desert you, nor in any way shall I forsake you;"

³ My tears have been bread to me day and night, while they daily said to me, Where is your God?

¹⁶ I cried to God, and the Lord hearkened to me. ¹⁷ Evening and morning and at noon I will declare and make known my needs; and He shall hear my voice.

⁴ O Lord God of hosts, how long will You be angry with the prayer of Your servant?

¹ A song of a Psalm for the sons of Korah for the end, upon Mahaleth for responsive strains, of instruction for Heman the Israelite. O Lord God of my salvation, I have cried by day and in the night before You.

⁸ ( { β}) GIMEL. Yea, though I cry and shout, He shuts out my prayer.

⁴⁴ You have veiled Yourself with a cloud because of prayer, that I might be blind, and be cast off.

⁴⁴ And leaving them, He went away again, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.

¹² Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and He was spending the night in prayer to God.

⁷ And God, shall He not execute justice for His own elect, who cry out day and night to Him, and yet He is patient with them?

⁴¹ And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed, ⁴² saying, "Father, if You will, remove this cup from Me--nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done." ⁴³ Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. ⁴⁴ And being in agony, He prayed more fervently. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down onto the ground. ⁴⁵ And rising up from prayer, coming to the disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow. ⁴⁶ Then He said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise up and pray, lest you enter into temptation."

¹⁰ night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and to perfect what is lacking in your faith?

³ I give thanks to God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, how unceasingly I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day,

²¹ He is your boast, and He is your God, who has done in the midst of you all these great and glorious things, which your eyes have seen.

²³ The sacrifice of praise will glorify Me; and that is the way in which I will show to him the salvation of God.

¹ For the end, A Psalm and Song of David. Praise becomes You, O God, in Zion; and to You shall the vow be performed.

⁹ Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy.

¹⁷ The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and holy in all His works.

³ And one cried to the other, and they said, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.

⁸ And the four living beings, each one having six wings apiece, were full of eyes around and within. And they never rest day or night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy, Holy, holy, holy, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, He who was, and who is, and who is to come!"

⁶ And Abram believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

⁹ And Jacob said, God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, O Lord, You are He that said to me, Depart quickly to the land of your birth, and I will do you good. ¹⁰ Let there be to me a sufficiency of all the justice and all the truth which You have wrought with Your servant; for with this my staff I passed over this Jordan, and now I have become two camps. ¹¹ Deliver me from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau, for I am afraid of him, lest haply he should come and attack me, and the mother with the children. ¹² But You said, I will do you good, and will make your seed as the sand of the sea, which shall not be numbered for multitude.

²⁸ And He said to him, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name; for you have prevailed with God, and shall be mighty with men.

¹³ And Moses said to the people, Be of good courage: stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will work for us this day; for as you have seen the Egyptians today, you shall see them again no more forever. ¹⁴ The Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

³¹ And Israel saw the mighty hand, the things which the Lord did to the Egyptians; and the people feared the Lord, and they believed God and Moses His servant.

⁹ And Samuel took a suckling lamb, and offered it up as a whole burnt offering with all the people to the Lord. And Samuel cried to the Lord for Israel, and the Lord heard him. ¹⁰ And Samuel was offering the whole burnt offering; and the Philistines drew near to war against Israel; and the Lord thundered with a mighty sound in that day upon the Philistines, and they were confounded and overthrown before Israel. ¹¹ And the men of Israel went forth out of Mizpah, and pursued the Philistines, and struck them as far as Beth Car. ¹² And Samuel took a stone, and set it up between Mizpah and the old city; and he called the name of it Ebenezer, stone of the helper; and he said, Thus far has the Lord helped us.

¹ For the end, A Psalm for instruction, for the sons of Korah. O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, the deeds which You did in their days, in the days of old. ² Your hand utterly destroyed the heathen, and You planted them; You afflicted the nations, and cast them out. ³ For they inherited not the land by their own sword, and their own arm did not deliver them; but Your right hand, and Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You were well pleased with them. ⁴ You are indeed my King and my God, who commanded deliverance for Jacob. ⁵ In You will we push down our enemies, and in Your name will we bring to nought them that rise up against us. ⁶ For I will not trust in my bow, and my sword shall not save me. ⁷ For You have saved us from them that afflicted us, and have put to shame them that hated us.

¹⁸ who, contrary to hope, on hope believed, so that he should become a father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be." ¹⁹ And not weakening in faith, he did not consider his own body, already having been worn out (being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb, ²⁰ he did not waver at the promise of God in unbelief, but was empowered by faith, giving glory to God, ²¹ and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to do. ²² And therefore "it was accounted to him for righteousness."

⁸ By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go forth to the place which he was about to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. ⁹ By faith he migrated into a land of promise as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the fellow heirs of the same promise; ¹⁰ for he waited for the city having foundations, whose builder and maker is God. ¹¹ By faith Sarah herself also received power for conception of seed, and she bore a child past the normal age, because she regarded Him faithful who had promised. ¹² Therefore even from one man they were begotten, and him as good as dead, just as the stars of the sky in multitude, and innumerable as the sand by the seashore. ¹³ These all died according to faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and welcoming them, and confessing that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. ¹⁴ For those saying such things make evident that they seek a fatherland. ¹⁵ And indeed if they had remembered that land from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to turn back. ¹⁶ But now they desire a better land, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. ¹⁷ By faith Abraham, when he was tested, had offered up Isaac, and he that received the promises offered up his only begotten son, ¹⁸ of whom it was spoken, "In Isaac your seed shall be called," ¹⁹ considering that even from the dead, God was able to raise him up, from which he also received him in a figurative sense. ²⁰ By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. ²¹ By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshipped, leaning on the top of his staff. ²² By faith Joseph, when he was dying, remembered concerning the exodus of the sons of Israel, and gave orders concerning his bones. ²³ By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden three months by his parents, because they saw a beautiful child; and they did not fear the edict of the king. ²⁴ By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called a son of Pharaoh's daughter, ²⁵ choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to have the temporary pleasure of sin, ²⁶ regarding the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward. ²⁷ By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the anger of the king; for he endured as seeing the Unseen One. ²⁸ By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, lest he who destroyed the firstborn should touch them. ²⁹ By faith they passed through the Red Sea as through dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned. ³⁰ By faith the walls of Jericho fell, having been encircled for seven days. ³¹ By faith the prositute Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. ³² And what more should I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, both Barak and Samson and Jephthah, both David and Samuel and the prophets:

³ And the children of Israel cried to the Lord, because he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and he mightily oppressed Israel twenty years.

⁶ And Israel was greatly impoverished because of Midian.

¹⁰ And the children of Israel cried to the Lord, saying, We have sinned against You, because we have forsaken God, and served Baalam. ¹¹ And the Lord said to the children of Israel, Did I not save you from Egypt and from the Amorite, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistines, ¹² and from the Sidonians, and Amalek, and Midian, who afflicted you? And you cried to Me, and I saved you out of their hand? ¹³ Yet you forsook Me and served other gods; therefore I will not save you anymore. ¹⁴ Go, and cry to the gods whom you have chosen to yourselves, and let them save you in the time of your affliction. ¹⁵ And the children of Israel said to the Lord, We have sinned: do unto us according to all that is good in Your eyes; only deliver us this day. ¹⁶ And they put away the strange gods from the midst of them, and served the Lord only, and His soul was pained for the trouble of Israel.

² O my God, I have trusted in You; let me not be confounded, neither let my enemies laugh me to scorn. ³ For none of them that wait on You shall in any way be ashamed; let them be ashamed that transgress without cause.

¹ For the end, A Psalm of David, an utterance of extreme fear. O Lord, I have hoped in You; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Your righteousness and rescue me.

⁶ Let not them that wait on You, O Lord of hosts, be ashamed on my account; let not them that seek You, be ashamed on my account, O God of Israel. ⁷ For I have suffered reproach for Your sake; shame has covered my face.

¹ By David, A Psalm sung by the sons of Jonadab, and the first that were taken captive. O Lord, I have hoped in You; let me never be put to shame.

⁶ Moses and Aaron among His priests, and Samuel among them that call upon His name; they called upon the Lord, and He heard them. ⁷ He spoke to them in a pillar of cloud; they kept His testimonies, and the ordinances which He gave them.

⁴⁴ You the Lord looked upon their affliction, when You heard their petition.

¹⁷ Israel is saved by the Lord with an everlasting salvation; they shall not be ashamed nor confounded forever.

²³ And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their princesses your nurses, they shall bow down to you on the face of the earth, and shall lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the Lord, and they that wait on Me shall not be ashamed.

³³ Just as it is written: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offense, and everyone believing on Him will not be put to shame."

¹¹ For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him shall not be put to shame."

⁶ For it is also contained in the Scripture, "Behold, I place in Zion a chief cornerstone, chosen, precious, and he who believes on Him shall by no means be put to shame."

⁶ But alas! Man is corruption, and the son of man a worm.

¹¹ I became a reproach among all my enemies, but exceedingly so to my neighbors, and a fear to my acquaintance; they that saw me outside fled from me.

⁷ For I have suffered reproach for Your sake; shame has covered my face. ⁸ I became strange to my brethren, and a stranger to my mother's children. ⁹ For the zeal of Your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached You have fallen upon me. ¹⁰ And I bowed down my soul with fasting, and that was made my reproach. ¹¹ And I put on sackcloth for my covering; and I became a proverb to them. ¹² Those that sit in the gate talked against me, and those that drank wine sang against me.

¹⁹ For You know my reproach, and my shame, and my confusion; all that afflict me are before You. ²⁰ My soul has waited for reproach and misery; and I waited for one to grieve with me, but there was none; and for one to comfort me, but I found none.

⁸ You have removed my acquaintance far from me; they have made me an abomination to themselves; I have been delivered up, and have not gone forth.

¹⁴ Fear not, Jacob, and you Israel few in number; I have helped you, says your God, He that redeems you, O Israel.

⁷ Thus says the Lord that delivered you, the God of Israel, Sanctify him that despises his life, him that is abhorred by the nations that are the servants of princes; kings shall behold him, and princes shall arise, and shall worship him, for the Lord's sake; for the Holy One of Israel is faithful, and I have chosen you.

³ But His form was ignoble, and inferior to that of the children of men; He was a man in suffering, and acquainted with the bearing of sickness, for His face has turned from us; He was dishonored, and not esteemed.

³⁰ ( { ι}) JOD. He will give his cheek to him that smites him: he will be filled full with reproaches.

¹⁹ "The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Look, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' And so wisdom is justified by her children."

²⁴ But the Pharisees, having heard, said, "This Man does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, ruler of the demons."

²⁰ But the chief priests and elders persuaded the crowds that they should ask for Barabbas, but they should destroy Jesus. ²¹ The governor answered and said to them, "Which of the two do you wish me to release to you?" They said, "Barabbas!" ²² Pilate said to them, "What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?" They all said to him, "Let Him be crucified!" ²³ Then the governor said, "Why, what evil did He do?" But they cried out all the more, saying, "Let Him be crucified!"

¹⁵ And the Jews were marveling, saying, "How is this Man learned, since He has not been educated?"

²⁰ The crowd answered and said, "You have a demon. Who is seeking to kill You?"

⁴⁷ Then the Pharisees answered them, "Have you also been deceived? ⁴⁸ Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him? ⁴⁹ But this crowd which does not know the law is accursed."

⁴⁸ Then the Jews answered and said to Him, "Do we not say well that You are a Samaritan, and You have a demon?"

¹² Therefore Jesus also, so that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

³ And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Righteous and true are Your ways, O King of the nations!

⁴ I also will speak as you do — if indeed your soul were in my soul's place, ^(16:5) then would I insult you with words, and I would shake my head at you!

^{10 (16:11)} He has attacked me with the keen glances of His eyes; with His sharp spear He has struck me down upon my knees, and they have run upon me with one accord.

⁹ But now I am their music, and they have me for a byword. ¹⁰ And they stood aloof and abhorred me, and spared not to spit in my face. ¹¹ For He has opened His quiver and afflicted me: they also have cast off the restraint of my presence.

¹⁸ Let the deceitful lips become dumb, which speak iniquity against the righteous with pride and scorn.

¹⁵ Yet they rejoiced against me, and plagues were plentifully brought against me, and I knew it not; they were scattered, but repented not. ¹⁶ They tempted me, they sneered at me most contemptuously, they gnashed their teeth upon me.

¹⁴ You have made us a proverb among the Gentiles, a shaking of the head among the nations.

²⁵ I became also a reproach to them, when they saw me they shook their heads.

²² This is the word which God has spoken concerning him; The virgin daughter of Zion has despised you, and mocked you; the daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you. ²³ Whom have you reproached and provoked? And against whom have you lifted up your voice? And have you not lifted up your eyes on high against the Holy One of Israel?

⁴ Against whom have you been rioting? And against whom have you opened your mouth, and against whom have you loosed your tongue? Are you not children of perdition? A lawless seed?

²⁴ He said to them, "Make room, for the girl has not died, but she is sleeping." And they were ridiculing Him.

⁶⁶ What do you think?" They answered and said, "He is deserving of death." ⁶⁷ Then they spat in His face, and beat Him with their fists; and they slapped Him, ⁶⁸ saying, "Prophesy to us, Christ! Who is he that struck You?"

²⁹ When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And kneeling before Him, they mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"

³⁹ And those passing by were blaspheming Him, shaking their heads ⁴⁰ and saying, "You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross."

²⁹ But Jesus answered and said to them, "I also will ask you one thing, and you answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things: ³⁰ The baptism of John--was it from heaven or from men? Answer Me." ³¹ And they were debating with themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' He will say, 'Why then did you not believe him?' ³² "But should we say, 'From men' "--they feared the people, for all had counted John to have been a prophet indeed.

²⁰ And when they had mocked Him, they stripped Him of the purple, and dressed Him in His own clothing. And led Him out so that they might crucify Him.

²⁹ And those passing by were blaspheming Him, shaking their heads and saying, "Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days,

¹⁴ Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were hearing all these things, and they were mocking Him.

¹¹ Then Herod, with his men of war, having treated Him with contempt, and having mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate.

³⁵ And the people stood, observing. And the rulers with them also were sneering, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the elect of God." ³⁶ The soldiers also mocked Him, coming and offering Him sour wine, ³⁷ and saying, "If You are the King of the Jews, save Yourself." ³⁸ And an inscription also was written over Him, in Greek, Latin, and Hebrew letters: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. ³⁹ Then one of the evildoers who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, "If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us."

¹ A Psalm of David, when he fled from the presence of his son Absalom. O Lord, why are they that afflict me multiplied? Many rise up against me. ² Many say concerning my soul, There is no deliverance for him in his God. Pause.

¹⁹ And He brought me out into a wide place; He shall deliver me, because He has pleasure in me.

⁵ Disclose Your way to the Lord, and trust in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.

¹⁰ While my bones were breaking, they that afflicted me reproached me; while they said to me daily, Where is your God?

²² Cast your cares upon the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

¹⁴ For he has hoped in Me, and I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he has known My name.

¹ Jacob is My servant, I will help him; Israel is My elect, My soul has accepted him; I have put My Spirit upon him; he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

¹⁷ And behold, a voice came out of the heavens, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I have found delight."

¹⁸ "Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen, My Beloved in whom My soul is well pleased! I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He will announce justice to the Gentiles.

⁵ While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and behold, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!"

⁴² He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe on Him. ⁴³ He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He'll have Him; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.' "

³⁰ save Yourself, and come down from the cross!" ³¹ Likewise the chief priests also, mocking Him to each other with the scribes said, "He saved others; Himself He is not able to save. ³² Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe Him." Even those who were crucified with Him were reviling Him.

³⁵ And the people stood, observing. And the rulers with them also were sneering, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if He is the Christ, the elect of God."

⁶ On You have I been stayed from the womb: from the belly of my mother You have been my protector: of You is my praise offered continually.

¹⁷ O God, You have taught me from my youth, and until now will I declare Your wonders;

¹⁵ My bones, which You made in secret, were not hidden from You, nor my substance, in the lowest parts of the earth. ¹⁶ Your eyes saw my unwrought substance, and all men shall be written in Your book; they shall be formed by day, though there should for a time be no one among them.

¹⁴ Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive in the womb, and shall bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Emmanuel. ¹⁵ Butter and honey shall He eat, before He knows either to prefer evil or choose the good.

⁶ For a Child is born to us, and a Son is given to us, whose government is upon His shoulder; and His name is called the Messenger of great counsel; for I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to Him.

¹ Hearken to Me, you islands; and attend, you Gentiles; after a long time it shall come to pass, says the Lord; from my mother's womb He has called my name; ² and He has made my mouth as a sharp sword, and He has hid me under the shadow of His hand; He has made me as a choice shaft, and He has hid me in His quiver;

¹³ Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, and take along the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you; for Herod is about to seek the young Child to destroy Him." ¹⁴ When he arose, he took along the young Child and His mother by night and withdrew into Egypt, ¹⁵ and was there until the death of Herod, so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son."

⁴ And his tail dragged a third of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that whenever she might give birth, he might devour her Child. ⁵ And she gave birth to a Son, a male who would shepherd all the nations with an iron rod. And her Child was caught up to God and to His throne.

³ Hear Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of Israel, who are borne by Me from the womb, and taught by Me from infancy, even to old age; ⁴ I am He; and until you have grown old, I am He; I bear you, I have made, and I will relieve, I will take up and save you.

¹ Hearken to Me, you islands; and attend, you Gentiles; after a long time it shall come to pass, says the Lord; from my mother's womb He has called my name;

⁵ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; and before you came forth from the womb, I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.

⁴⁰ And the Child was growing and becoming strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.

⁵² And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.' "

¹⁵ But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace,

³⁶ For the Lord shall judge His people, and shall be comforted over His servants; for He saw that they were utterly weakened, and failed in the hostile invasion, and have become feeble.

²⁶ For the Lord saw that the affliction of Israel was very bitter, and that they were few in number, straitened and in want, and destitute, and Israel had no helper.

¹ For the end, A Psalm of David. How long, O Lord, will You forget me? Forever? How long will You turn away Your face from me? ² How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrows in my heart daily? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? ³ Look on me, hearken to me, O Lord my God: lighten my eyes, lest I sleep in death;

²² You have seen it, O Lord; keep not silence; O Lord, withdraw not Yourself from me.

²¹ Forsake me not, O Lord my God; depart not from me.

¹ For the end, A Psalm of David, for alternate strains. Save me, O God; for the waters have come in to my soul. ² I am stuck fast in deep mire, and there is no standing: I have come in to the depths of the sea, and a storm has overwhelmed me.

¹⁸ Draw near to my soul and redeem it: deliver me because of my enemies.

¹² For He has delivered the poor from the oppressor; and the needy who had no helper.

⁴ I looked on my right hand, and behold, for there was none that noticed me; refuge failed me; and there was none that cared for my soul. ⁵ I cried unto You, O Lord, and said, You are my hope, my portion in the land of the living. ⁶ Attend to my supplication, for I am brought very low; deliver me from them that persecute me; for they are stronger than I.

⁵⁶ But all this has happened so that the Scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled." Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.

⁷² But again he denied with an oath, "I do not know the Man!"

⁷⁴ Then he began to curse and swear, saying, "I do not know the Man!" And immediately a rooster crowed.

³² Indeed a time is coming, and now has come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and you will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

¹⁴ Butter of cows, and milk of sheep, with the fat of lambs and rams, of calves and kids, with fat of kidneys of wheat; and he drank wine, the blood of the grape. ¹⁵ So Jacob ate and was filled, and the beloved one kicked; he grew fat, he became thick and broad: then he forsook the God that made him, and departed from God his Savior.

³⁰ Rebuke the wild beasts of the reed; let the crowd of bulls with the heifers of the nations be rebuked, so that they who have been proved with silver may not be shut out; scatter the nations that wish for wars.

⁷ And the mighty ones shall fall with them, and the rams and the bulls; and the land shall be soaked with blood, and shall be filled with their fat.

¹¹ Because you rejoiced, and boasted, while plundering My heritage; because you exulted as calves in the grass, and pushed with the horn as bulls.

¹⁸ You shall eat the flesh of mighty men, and you shall drink the blood of princes of the earth, rams, and calves and goats, and they are all fatted calves.

¹ Hear this word, you heifers of the land of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, that oppress the poor and trample on the needy, which say to their masters, Give us, that we may drink. ² The Lord swears by His holiness, that behold, the days come upon you, when they shall take you with weapons, and fiery destroyers shall cast those with you into boiling caldrons. ³ And you shall be brought forth naked in the presence of each other, and you shall be cast forth onto Mount Harmon, says the Lord.

¹ When morning came, all the chief priests and elders of the people plotted against Jesus, so as to put Him to death.

²⁷ "For truly they were assembled against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel,

² lest at any time the enemy seize my soul as a lion, while there is none to ransom, nor to save.

¹² They laid wait for me as a lion ready for prey, and like a lion's whelp dwelling in secret places.

⁷ All that saw Me mocked Me; they spoke with their lips, they shook the head, saying,

²¹ Save Me from the lion's mouth; and regard My lowliness from the horns of the unicorns.

¹⁷ O Lord, when will You look upon me? Deliver my soul from their mischief, my only begotten one from the lions.

²¹ And they opened wide their mouth upon me; they said Aha, aha, our eyes have seen it.

¹⁶ ( { ς}) AIN. All your enemies have opened their mouth against you; they have hissed and gnashed their teeth, and said, We have swallowed her up; surely this is the day which we looked for; we have found it, we have seen it.

⁴⁶ All our enemies have opened their mouth against us.

²⁷ Her princes in the midst of her are as wolves ravening to shed blood, that they may get dishonest gain. ²⁸ And her prophets that daub them shall fall, that see vanities, that prophesy falsehoods, saying, Thus says the Lord, when the Lord has not spoken.

³ Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were assembled into the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, ⁴ and plotted to take Jesus by guile and kill Him.

⁵⁹ Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the Sanhedrin were seeking false witnesses against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death, ⁶⁰ and they did not find any. And though many false witnesses came forward, they did not find any. But at last two false witnesses came forward ⁶¹ and said, "This Man said, 'I am able to destroy the temple of God, and after three days to rebuild it.' " ⁶² And standing up the high priest said to Him, "Do You answer nothing? What is it these men are testifying against You?" ⁶³ But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, "I adjure You by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!" ⁶⁴ Jesus said to him, "You said it. Nevertheless, I say to you, from now on, you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven." ⁶⁵ Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, "He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!

⁸ Be sober, be watchful; your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour.

⁵ And the men of Ai struck down about thirty-six men, and they pursued them from the gate, and destroyed them from the steep hill; and the heart of the people was alarmed and became as water.

¹⁶ But the Lord has softened my heart, and the Almighty has troubled me.

¹⁶ Even now my life shall be poured forth upon me, and days of anguish seize me.

¹⁷ They counted all My bones; and they observed and looked upon Me.

¹⁰ For my life is spent with grief, and my years with groanings; my strength has been weakened through poverty, and my bones are troubled.

² As smoke vanishes, let them vanish: as wax melts before the fire, so let the sinners perish from before God.

⁶ Then the king's countenance changed, and his thoughts troubled him, and the joints of his hips were loosed, and his knees knocked one another.

¹⁰ There is thrusting forth, and shaking, and tumult, and heart breaking, and loosing of knees, and pangs on all loins; and the faces of all are as the blackening of a pot.

³⁸ Then Jesus said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death. Stay here and watch with Me."

³³ And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be greatly amazed, and deeply depressed. ³⁴ Then He said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death. Remain here and watch."

²⁷ "Now My soul has been troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this reason I came to this hour.

^{19 (3:20)} In the sweat of your face shall you eat your bread until you return to the ground out of which you were taken, for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.

²⁷ And Abraham answered and said, Now I have begun to speak to my Lord, and I am but dust and ashes.

²¹ Why have You not forgotten my iniquity, and purged my sin? But now I shall depart to the earth, and in the morning I am no more.

⁹ Remember that You have made me as clay, and You turn me again into dust.

¹⁰ And they that heard me blessed me, and their tongue stuck to the roof of their mouth.

¹⁵ all flesh would die together, and every mortal would return to the earth, from where he was formed.

⁹ What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to destruction? Shall the dust give praise to You? Or shall it declare Your truth?

¹⁰ My heart is troubled, my strength has failed me; and the light of my eyes is not with me.

³ I am weary of crying, my throat has become hoarse; my eyes have failed by my waiting on my God.

²¹ They gave me also gall for my food, and made me drink vinegar for my thirst.

²⁹ But when You have turned away Your face, they shall be troubled; You will take away their breath, and they shall fail, and return to their dust.

²² A glad heart promotes health, but the bones of a sorrowful man dry up.

¹² Therefore He shall inherit many, and He shall divide the spoils of the mighty; because His soul was delivered to death; and He was numbered among the transgressors; and He bore the sins of many, and was delivered up because of their transgressions.

⁴ ( { γ}) DALETH. The tongue of the sucking child cleaves to the roof of its mouth for thirst: the little children ask for bread, and there is none to break it for them.

² And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproach and everlasting shame.

⁵⁰ But Jesus, again crying out with a loud voice, released His spirit.

²⁸ After this, Jesus, seeing that all things already had been fulfilled, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, He said, "I thirst!"

³ For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

¹ For the end, concerning the morning aid, A Psalm of David. O God, my God, attend to me; why have You forsaken me? The account of my transgressions is far from my salvation.

²⁰ Deliver My soul from the sword; My only begotten soul from the power of the dog.

⁶ They shall return at evening, and hunger like a dog, and go round about the city.

¹⁴ O God, transgressors have risen up against me, and an assembly of violent men have sought my life; and have not set You before them.

⁶ For even your brothers and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you; and they have cried out, they are gathered together in pursuit of you. Do not trust in them, though they shall speak fair words to you.

¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and compassion: and they shall look upon Me, because they have mocked Me, and they shall make lamentation for Him, as for a beloved friend, and they shall grieve intensely, as for a firstborn son.

⁶ Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

⁵⁷ And those having seized Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.

³⁵ And having crucified Him, they divided His clothes among themselves, casting lots.

¹⁶ Then the soldiers led Him away into the courtyard, which is the Praetorium, and assembled the whole garrison. ¹⁷ And they clothed Him with purple; and they twisted a crown of thorns, and they put it around His head, ¹⁸ and they began to salute Him, "Hail, King of the Jews!" ¹⁹ And they were striking His head with a reed and were spitting on Him; and bowing the knee, they mockingly worshipped Him. ²⁰ And when they had mocked Him, they stripped Him of the purple, and dressed Him in His own clothing. And led Him out so that they might crucify Him.

²⁴ And having crucified Him, they divided His clothes by casting lots over them, to determine who would take what.

⁵³ And as He said these things to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be dreadfully hostile, and to cross-examine Him about many things, ⁵⁴ lying in wait for Him, and seeking to catch Him in something He might say, so that they might accuse Him.

⁶³ Now the men who were holding Jesus were mocking Him and beating Him. ⁶⁴ And having blindfolded Him, they were striking His face and asking Him, saying, "Prophesy! Who is the one who struck You?" ⁶⁵ And many other things they blasphemously spoke against Him. ⁶⁶ And when it became day, the council of the elders of the people, the chief priests and scribes, came together and led Him into their council, saying, ⁶⁷ "If You are the Messiah, tell us." But He said to them, "If I tell you, you will by no means believe. ⁶⁸ But if I also question you, you will by no means answer Me or release Me. ⁶⁹ Hereafter the Son of Man will sit on the right hand of the power of God." ⁷⁰ Then they all said, "Are You then the Son of God?" So He said to them, "You rightly say that I am." ⁷¹ And they said, "What further testimony do we need? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth!"

⁴ But Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, "I find no guilt in this Man." ⁵ But they insisted, saying, "He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to here."

¹⁰ And the chief priests and scribes stood, vehemently accusing Him. ¹¹ Then Herod, with his men of war, having treated Him with contempt, and having mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate.

²³ But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And their voices and those of the chief priests prevailed.

³³ And when they came to the place which is called Calvary, there they crucified Him and the evildoers, one on the right, and one on the left.

²³ Then the soldiers, when they crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was seamless, woven from the top in one piece.

³⁴ But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

³⁷ And again another Scripture says, "They shall look at Him whom they pierced."

²⁵ The other disciples therefore said to him, "We have seen the Lord." So he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will by no means believe."

²⁷ Then He said to Thomas, "Bring your finger here, and see My hands; and bring your hand here, and put it into My side. Be not unbelieving, but believing."

² Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision!

¹⁵ But outside are dogs and drug users and fornicators and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices a lie.

²¹ until his flesh shall be consumed, and he shall show his bones bare.

³ For my days have vanished like smoke, and my bones have been parched like a stick. ⁴ I am blighted like grass, and my heart is dried up; for I have forgotten to eat my bread. ⁵ By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones has cleaved to my flesh.

¹⁴ As many shall be amazed at You, so shall Your face be without glory from men, and Your glory shall not be honored by the sons of men.

³⁶ And sitting down, they guarded Him there.

³⁹ And those passing by were blaspheming Him, shaking their heads ⁴⁰ and saying, "You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross." ⁴¹ Likewise the chief priests also, mocking Him with the scribes and elders, and Pharisees, said,

²⁹ And those passing by were blaspheming Him, shaking their heads and saying, "Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days,

²⁷ And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also were mourning and lamenting Him.

³⁴ Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." And dividing His garments, they cast lots.

²³ Then the soldiers, when they crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was seamless, woven from the top in one piece. ²⁴ Therefore they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but let us cast lots for it, whose it will be," so that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: "They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots." Therefore the soldiers did these things.

¹ For the end, A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord; the words which he spoke to the Lord, even the words of this song, in the day in which the Lord delivered him out the hand of all his enemies, and out the hand of Saul. And he said: I will love You, O Lord, my strength.

¹³ But I will cry to You, O Lord, in my prayer; O God, it is a propitious time: in the multitude of Your mercy hear me, in the truth of Your salvation. ¹⁴ Save me from the mire, that I stick not in it; let me be delivered from them that hate me, and from the deep waters. ¹⁵ Let not the floodwater drown me, nor let the deep swallow me up; neither let the well shut its mouth upon me. ¹⁶ Hear me, O Lord; for Your mercy is good: according to the multitude of Your compassions, look upon me. ¹⁷ And turn not away Your face from Your servant; for I am afflicted; hear me speedily. ¹⁸ Draw near to my soul and redeem it: deliver me because of my enemies.

⁵ But I am poor and needy; O God, help me: You are my helper and deliverer, O Lord; do not delay.

¹³ Arise, O Lord, prevent them, and cast them down; deliver my soul from the ungodly; draw Your sword,

⁷ Awake, O sword, against My shepherds, and against the man who is My citizen, says the Lord Almighty; strike the shepherds, and draw out the sheep: and I will bring My hand upon the little ones.

²² It was God who brought him out of Egypt; he has the glory of a unicorn.

¹⁷ His beauty is as the firstborn bull, his horns are the horns of a unicorn; with them he shall thrust the nations at once, even from the end of the earth: these are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and these are the thousands of Manasseh.

⁹ And will the unicorn be willing to serve you, or to lie down at your manger? ¹⁰ And will you bind his yoke with thongs, or will he plow valleys for you in the plain?

⁵³ When I was with you daily in the temple, you did not try to seize Me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness."

⁵⁹ Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, having gone through their midst, and so passed by.

³⁰ I will no longer speak many things with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you murdered by hanging upon a cross. ³¹ Him God has exalted to His right hand as Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. ³² And we are His witnesses of these words, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him."

¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation might be fulfilled, and all the Gentiles might hear, and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

²⁵ My praise is of You in the great congregation; I will pay My vows before them that fear Him.

⁹ I have preached righteousness in the great congregation; lo! I will not refrain my lips; O Lord, You know my righteousness. ¹⁰ I have not hid Your truth within my heart, and I have declared Your salvation; I have not hid Your mercy and Your truth from the great congregation.

¹⁸ even until I am old and advanced in years. O God, forsake me not; until I have declared Your mighty arm to all the generation that is to come; ¹⁹ even Your power and Your righteousness, O God, up to the highest heavens, even the mighty works which You have done; O God, who is like You?

⁴⁸ But He answered and said to him that told Him, "Who is My mother? And who are My brothers?" ⁴⁹ And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Behold; My mother, and My brothers!

⁴⁰ "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.'

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go, report to My brothers that they should go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."

²⁵ Therefore some of people of Jerusalem were saying, "Is this not He whom they are seeking to kill? ²⁶ And look! He is speaking publicly, and they say nothing to Him. Can it be that the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ?

²⁹ Because whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brothers.

¹¹ For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers, ¹² saying: "I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing praise to You."

⁸ Oh, give thanks to the Lord, call upon Him by His name, make known His designs among the people. ⁹ Sing songs to Him, and sing hymns to Him, relate to all people His wonderful deeds, which the Lord has wrought. ¹⁰ Praise His holy name, the heart that seeks His pleasure shall rejoice. ¹¹ Seek the Lord and be strong, seek His face continually. ¹² Remember His wonderful works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth; ¹³ you seed of Israel His servants, you seed of Jacob His chosen ones!

³⁰ And my seed shall serve him; the generation that is coming shall be reported to the Lord.

⁸ Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of Him.

¹² I will give You thanks, O Lord my God, with all my heart; and I will glorify Your name forever.

³ Glory in His holy name; let the heart of them that seek the Lord rejoice. ⁴ Seek the Lord, and be strengthened; seek His face continually. ⁵ Remember His wonderful works that He has done; His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth; ⁶ you seed of Abraham, His servants, you children of Jacob, His elect. ⁷ He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

⁵ that we may behold the good of Your elect, that we may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that we may glory with Your inheritance.

¹ Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever. ² Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

¹¹ They that fear the Lord trust in the Lord; He is their helper and defender.

¹³ He has blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

¹⁹ O house of Israel, bless the Lord: O house of Aaron, bless the Lord: ²⁰ O house of Levi, bless the Lord: you that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.

¹⁹ He will perform the desire of them that fear Him: and He will hear their supplication, and save them.

³ Therefore shall the poor people bless You, and cities of injured men shall bless You.

⁵⁰ And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.

²⁰ Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was spoken to them.

¹⁹ Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? ²⁰ For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

³¹ Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.

⁴ Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, because Your righteous judgments have been manifested."

² O my God, I will cry to You by day, but You will not hear; and by night, and it shall not be reckoned to me as folly.

⁶ But I am a worm, and not a man; a reproach of men, and the scorn of the people.

⁶ This poor man cried, and the Lord hearkened to him, and delivered him out of all his afflictions.

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, O Lord, who is like You? Delivering the poor out of the hand of them that are stronger than he, yea, the poor and needy one from them that spoil him.

¹⁷ And turn not away Your face from Your servant; for I am afflicted; hear me speedily.

²⁹ I am poor and sorrowful; but the salvation of Your countenance has helped me. ³⁰ I will praise the name of my God with a song, I will magnify Him with praise; ³¹ and this shall please God more than a young calf having horns and hoofs. ³² Let the poor see and rejoice; seek the Lord diligently, and you shall live. ³³ For the Lord hears the poor, and does not despise His prisoners. ³⁴ Let the heavens and the earth praise Him, the sea, and all things moving in them.

³ The pangs of death compassed me; the dangers of hell found me; I found affliction and sorrow. ⁴ Then I called on the name of the Lord — O Lord, deliver my soul. ⁵ The Lord is merciful and righteous; yea, our God has pity. ⁶ The Lord preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He delivered me.

⁵ I called on the Lord out of affliction; and He hearkened to me, and brought me into a wide place.

⁶ I gave my back to scourges, and my cheeks to blows; and I turned not away my face from the shame of spitting; ⁷ but the Lord God became my helper; therefore I was not ashamed, but I set my face as a solid rock; and I know that I shall never be ashamed, ⁸ for He that has justified me draws near. Who is he that pleads with me? Let him stand up against me at the same time; yea, who is he that pleads with me? Let him draw near to me. ⁹ Behold, the Lord, the Lord will help me; who will hurt me? Behold, all you shall grow as old as a garment, and a moth shall devour you.

⁴⁶ And Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, "Father, 'into Your hands I will commit My spirit.' " And after He said these things, He expired.

²² I will declare Your name to My brothers; in the midst of the church will I sing praise to You.

¹⁸ I will give thanks to You even in a great congregation; in an abundant people I will praise You.

¹² The vows of Your praise, O God, which I will pay, are upon me.

¹³ I will go into Your house with whole burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,

¹⁶ Come and hear, and I will tell, all You that fear God, how great things He has done for my soul.

¹ Alleluia. I will give You thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.

¹⁴ I will pay my vows to the Lord, in the presence of all His people. ¹⁵ Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. ¹⁶ O Lord, I am Your servant; I am Your servant, and the son of Your handmaid; You have burst my bonds. ¹⁷ I will offer to You the sacrifice of praise, and will call upon the name of the Lord. ¹⁸ I will pay my vows unto the Lord, in the presence of all His people, ¹⁹ in the courts of the Lord's house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem.

¹⁹ Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord. ²⁰ This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter by it.

⁴ Whenever you shall vow a vow to God, defer not to pay it; for He has no pleasure in fools. Pay, therefore, whatsoever you have vowed. ⁵ It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay.

¹¹ This is the law of the sacrifice of peace-offering, which they shall bring to the Lord. ¹² If a man should offer it for praise, then shall he bring, for the sacrifice of praise, loaves of fine flour made up with oil, and unleavened cakes anointed with oil, and fine flour kneaded with oil. ¹³ With leavened bread he shall offer his gifts, with the peace-offering of praise. ¹⁴ And he shall bring one of all his gifts, a separate offering to the Lord; it shall belong to the priest who pours forth the blood of the peace-offering. ¹⁵ And the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace-offering of praise shall be his, and it shall be eaten in the day in which it is offered; they shall not leave of it till the morning. ¹⁶ And if it be a vow, or he offer his gift of his own will, on whatsoever day he shall offer his sacrifice, it shall be eaten, and on the next day. ¹⁷ And that which is left of the flesh of the sacrifice till the third day, shall be consumed with fire.

¹⁶ Let all those that seek You, O Lord, exalt and rejoice in You; and let them that love Your salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified!

³² Let the poor see and rejoice; seek the Lord diligently, and you shall live.

³ Glory in His holy name; let the heart of them that seek the Lord rejoice. ⁴ Seek the Lord, and be strengthened; seek His face continually.

⁹ For He satisfies the empty soul, and fills the hungry soul with good things,

⁶ And the Lord of hosts shall make a feast for all the nations; on this mount they shall drink gladness, they shall drink wine;

¹³ Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, My servants shall eat, but you shall hunger; behold, My servants shall drink, but you shall thirst; behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed;

¹⁴ but whoever drinks of the water which I shall give him will by no means ever thirst again. But the water which I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life."

⁴⁸ I am the bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and died. ⁵⁰ This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." ⁵² Therefore the Jews were contending with one another, saying, "How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?" ⁵³ Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. ⁵⁴ Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day. ⁵⁵ For My flesh truly is food, and My blood truly is drink. ⁵⁶ He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ Just as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread which came down from heaven, not as your fathers ate the manna, and died. He that eats this bread shall live forever."

⁸ Ask of Me, and I shall give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.

⁸ And He shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

¹¹ And all kings shall worship Him; all the Gentiles shall serve Him.

⁹ All nations whom You have made shall come and shall worship before You, O Lord; and shall glorify Your name.

⁷ Bring to the Lord, you families of the Gentiles, bring to the Lord glory and honor.

³ He has remembered His mercy to Jacob, and His truth to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

²² when the people have gathered together, and the kings, to serve the Lord.

¹ Alleluia. Praise the Lord, all you nations; praise Him, all you peoples.

²² Turn to Me, and you shall be saved, you that come from the end of the earth; I am God, and there is none other.

⁸ Therefore remember these things, and groan; repent, you that have gone astray, return in your heart; ⁹ and remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is none besides Me,

⁶ And He said to me, It is a great thing for you to be called My servant, to establish the tribes of Jacob, and to recover the dispersion of Israel; behold, I have given you for the covenant of a race, for a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation to the end of the earth.

¹² Behold, these shall come from far; and these from the north and the west, and others from the land of the Persians.

¹⁵ and saying, "Men! Why are you doing these things? We men are of the same nature as you, preaching the gospel to you, that you must turn from these useless things to turn to the living God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all the things in them,

²¹ solemnly bearing witness to both Jews and to Greeks, the repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, in order for them to receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.' ¹⁹ "Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, ²⁰ but to those first in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, proclaiming that they must repent and turn to God, and do works worthy of repentance.

^{26 (14:25)} but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the eternal God, for obedience to the faith--

⁹ For they themselves report about us what kind of entrance we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

⁹ After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, out of every nation, and from tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, having been clothed in long white robes, with palm branches in their hands. ¹⁰ And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God, to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" ¹¹ And all the angels stood around the throne, and the elders and the four living beings, and they fell down on their faces before His throne and they worshipped God, ¹² saying: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen."

⁷ For God is King of all the earth; sing praises with understanding. ⁸ God reigns over the nations; God sits upon the throne of His holiness.

¹⁴ And to Him was given the dominion, and the honor, and the kingdom; and all nations, tribes, and languages, shall serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom shall not be destroyed.

²¹ And they that escape shall come up from Mount Zion, to take vengeance on the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord's.

⁹ And the Lord shall be king over all the earth. In that day there shall be one Lord, and His name one,

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

¹² And the daughter of Tyre shall adorn Him with gifts; the rich of the people of the land shall supplicate your favor.

⁶ They that trust in their strength, and boast themselves in the multitude of their wealth — ⁷ a brother does not redeem, shall a man redeem? He shall not give to God a ransom for himself, ⁸ or the price for the redemption of his soul, though he labor forever, ⁹ and live to the end, so that he should not see corruption.

¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish, and the isles, shall bring presents: the kings of the Arabians and Sheba shall offer gifts. ¹¹ And all kings shall worship Him; all the Gentiles shall serve Him.

⁷ Their injustice shall go forth as out of fatness; they have fulfilled their intention.

³¹ then the indignation of God rose up against them, and slew the fattest of them, and overthrew the choice men of Israel.

⁷ who lifts up the poor from the earth, and raises up the needy from the dunghill;

¹⁶ but the Lord of hosts shall send dishonor upon your honor, and burning fire shall be kindled upon your glory.

¹⁹ The dead shall rise, and they that are in the tombs shall be raised, and they that are in the earth shall rejoice; for the dew from You is healing to them; but the land of the ungodly shall perish.

⁴ And your words shall be brought down to the earth, and your words shall sink down to the earth, and your voice shall be as they that speak out of the earth, and your voice shall be lowered to the ground.

²³ By Myself I swear, righteousness shall surely proceed out of My mouth; My words shall not be frustrated; that to Me every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall swear by God,

³ And kings shall walk in your light, and nations in your brightness. ⁴ Lift up your eyes round about, and behold your children gathered; all your sons have come from far, and your daughters shall be borne on men's shoulders. ⁵ Then shall you see, and fear, and be amazed in your heart; for the wealth of the sea shall come round to you, and of nations and peoples; and herds of camels shall come to you,

¹⁶ And you shall drink the milk of the Gentiles, and shall eat the wealth of kings; and shall know that I am the Lord that saves you and delivers you, the Holy One of Israel.

⁹ O Israel, who will aid you in your destruction?

³⁶ He who believes in the Son has eternal life; and he who does not believe the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

²⁵ Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. ²⁶ And everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

¹⁰ But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. ¹¹ For it is written: "As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God." ¹² So then each of us shall give account concerning himself to God.

¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee may bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

¹² And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened the books. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by the things having been written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to their works. ¹⁴ Then Death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death, the Lake of Fire. ¹⁵ And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.

²⁴ And the nations shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth shall bring to it the glory and honor of the nations into it.

⁵ There were they alarmed with fear, where there was no fear; for God is in the righteous generation.

⁶ This is the generation of them that seek Him, that seek the face of the God of Jacob. Pause.

¹⁵ If I said, I will speak thus; behold, I should have broken covenant with the generation of Your children.

⁶ The Lord shall recount it in the writing of the people, and of these princes that were born in her.

²⁸ The children of Your servants shall dwell securely, and their seed shall prosper forever.

¹⁰ The Lord also is pleased to purge Him from His stroke. If you give an offering for sin, Your soul shall see a long-lived seed;

⁹ and do not think to say among yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham out of these stones.

²⁶ For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. ²⁷ For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. ²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹ And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

¹³ And again: "I will put My trust in Him." And again: "Behold I and the children to whom God has given Me."

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellent virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

⁹ I have preached righteousness in the great congregation; lo! I will not refrain my lips; O Lord, You know my righteousness.

⁶ that another generation might know, even the sons which should be born; and they should arise and declare them to their children.

¹⁸ Let this be written for another generation; and the people that shall be created shall praise the Lord.

⁴ Generation after generation shall praise Your works, and tell of Your power. ⁵ And they shall speak of the glorious majesty of Your holiness, and recount Your wonders. ⁶ And they shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts; and recount of Your greatness. ⁷ They shall utter the memory of the abundance of Your goodness, and shall exalt in Your righteousness.

³ For I will give water to the thirsty that walk in a dry land; I will put My Spirit upon your seed, and My blessings upon your children; ⁴ and they shall spring up as grass between brooks, and as willows on the banks of running water. ⁵ One shall say, I am God's; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall write with his hand, I am God's, and shall call himself by the name of Israel.

²¹ And you shall say in your heart, Who has begotten me these? Whereas I was childless, and a widow; but who has brought up these for me? And I was left alone; but from where did these come to me? ²² Thus says the Lord, even the Lord, Behold, I lift up My hand to the nations, and I will lift up My signal to the islands; and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and shall bear your daughters on their shoulders. ²³ And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their princesses your nurses, they shall bow down to you on the face of the earth, and shall lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the Lord, and they that wait on Me shall not be ashamed.

¹ Rejoice, you barren that bear not; break forth and cry, you that does not travail; for more are the children of the desolate than of her that has a husband; for the Lord has said,

⁴ Lift up your eyes round about, and behold your children gathered; all your sons have come from far, and your daughters shall be borne on men's shoulders.

⁷ Before she that travailed has brought forth, before the birth pains came on, she escaped it and brought forth a male. ⁸ Who has heard such a thing? And who has seen after this manner? Has the earth travailed in one day? Or has even a nation been born at once, that Zion has travailed, and brought forth her children? ⁹ But I have raised this expectation, yet you have not remembered Me, says the Lord; behold, have not I made the bearing and barren woman? Says your God.

¹⁷ For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

²¹ But now the righteousness of God apart from the law has been revealed, being witnessed to by the Law and the Prophets, ²² even the righteousness of God, through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ, to all and upon all those that believe. For there is no distinction; ²³ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ being justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus, ²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a demonstration of His righteousness through the passing over of the sins having previously occurred, in the forbearance of God,

¹⁹ For through the disobedience of the one man the many were constituted sinners, so also through the obedience of the One many shall be constituted righteous. ²⁰ But the law came in alongside, so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace superabounded, ²¹ so that just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²¹ For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
