² for You are my strength; why have You cast me off? And why do I go mourning, while the enemy oppresses me?

² He was to me a helper and protector for salvation: this is my God and I will glorify Him; my father's God, and I will exalt Him.

⁹ And now, my son Solomon, know the God of your fathers, and serve Him with a perfect heart and a willing soul; for the Lord searches all hearts, and knows every thought: if you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you should forsake Him, He will forsake you forever.

⁷ The Lord is my helper and my defender; my heart has hoped in Him, and I am helped; my flesh has revived, and willingly will I give praise to Him.

⁴ You shall bring me out of the snare which they have hidden for me; for You, O Lord, are my defender.

⁹ I will say to God, You are my helper; why have You forgotten me? Why do I mourn, while the enemy oppresses me?

⁹ But now You have cast off, and put us to shame; and You will not go forth with our hosts.

⁹ Do not cast me off at the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails.

⁷ Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be well pleased no more?

¹⁴ For the Lord will not cast off His people, neither will He forsake His inheritance;

⁷ O Lord God, the strength of my salvation; You have covered my head in the day of battle.

³¹ but they that wait on God shall renew their strength; they shall put forth new feathers like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.

²⁴ saying, Righteousness and glory shall come to Him; and all that remove them from their borders shall be ashamed.

¹² And I will strengthen them in the Lord their God; and they shall boast in His name, says the Lord.

¹⁰ Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

¹³ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
