²⁰ "Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her!"

⁴⁹ Therefore the wisdom of God also said, 'I will send to them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,' ⁵⁰ so that the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world may be required from this generation,

⁷ And God, shall He not execute justice for His own elect, who cry out day and night to Him, and yet He is patient with them? ⁸ I tell you that He will execute justice for them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone,

⁵ which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:

¹¹ And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,

² to remember the words having been previously spoken by the holy prophets, and the commandment of your apostles of the Lord and Savior;

¹⁷ But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?"

¹² Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the earth and to the sea! Because the devil was thrown down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time."

¹ After these things I heard as it were a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God! ² For true and righteous are His judgments, for He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged the blood of His servants shed by her hand." ³ And a second one said, "Hallelujah! Her smoke goes up forever and ever!"
