Romans 9:6 Cross References - CAB

⁶ But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all those of Israel are of Israel,

¹⁹ God is not as a man that He should waver, nor as a son of man that He should be threatened; shall He say and not perform? Shall He speak and not keep His word?

¹¹ so shall My word be, whatever shall proceed out of My mouth, it shall by no means return to Me void, until all the things which I willed have been accomplished; and I will make your ways prosperous, and will effect My commands.

³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall by no means pass away.

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said about him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!"

³⁵ If He called those gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),

²⁸ For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in flesh; ²⁹ but he is a Jew that is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, whose praise is not of men but of God.

³ For what if some did not believe? Surely their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God?

¹² and the father of circumcision to those not only of circumcision, but also to those following in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while in uncircumcision. ¹³ For the promise that he should be heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. ¹⁴ For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise has been nullified, ¹⁵ because the law produces wrath; for where there is no law neither is there transgression. ¹⁶ Therefore it is of faith that it may be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those of the law, but also to those of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

¹ I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. ² God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying,

¹⁶ And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

¹³ If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.

¹⁷ Thus God, wanting to show even more clearly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His counsel, guaranteed it by an oath, ¹⁸ in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement, who have fled to take hold of the hope being set before us;
