²⁷ And Yahweh said to the messenger, and he turns back his sword unto its sheath.

¹⁶ and the messenger puts forth his hand to Jerusalem to destroy it, and Yahweh repents concerning the evil, and said to the messenger who is destroying among the people, `Enough, now, cease your hand;' and the messenger of Yahweh was near the threshing-floor of Araunah the Jebusite.

¹² either for three years--famine, or three months to be consumed from the face of your adversaries, even the sword of your enemies to overtake, or three days the sword of Yahweh, even pestilence in the land, and a messenger of Yahweh destroying in all the border of Israel; and now, see; what word do I return to Him who is sending me?.

¹⁵ and Elohim sends a messenger to Jerusalem to destroy it, and as he is destroying Yahweh has seen, and is comforted concerning the evil, and said to the messenger who [is] destroying, `Enough, now, cease your hand.' And the messenger of Yahweh is standing by the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite, ¹⁶ and David lifts up his eyes, and sees the messenger of Yahweh standing between the earth and the heavens, and his sword drawn in his hand, stretched out over Jerusalem, and David falls, and the elders, covered with sackcloth, on their faces.

²⁰ And Ornan turns back, and sees the messenger, and his four sons [are] with him, hiding themselves, and Ornan is threshing wheat.

²⁰ Bless Yahweh, all His messengers, Masters of valor, doing His word, So as to hearken to the voice of His word!"

⁶ Ho, sword of Yahweh, till when are you not quiet? Be removed unto your sheath, rest and cease."

³⁰ Turn [it] back unto its scabbard, In the place where you wast produced, In the land of your birth I do judge you."

⁵² Then Jesus is saying to him, "Turn away your sword into its place, for all those taking the sword, by the sword shall perish."

¹¹ Jesus, then, said to Peter, "Thrust the sword into the scabbard. The cup which the Father has given Me, may I by no means be drinking it?

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits commissioned for service because of those who are about to be enjoying the allotment of salvation?
