¹⁹ And he goes thence, and finds Elisha son of Shaphat, and he is plowing; twelve yoke [are] before him, and he [is] with the twelfth; and Elijah passes over unto him, and casts his robe upon him,

¹ As for Moses, he had become a shepherd of the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. Once he was leading the flock behind the wilderness and came to the Mount of the One, Elohim, to Horeb.

¹¹ And the messenger of Yahweh comes and sits under the oak which [is] in Ophrah, which [is] to Joash the Abi-Ezrite, and Gideon his son is beating out wheat in the wine-press, to remove [it] from the presence of the Midianites;"

¹⁴ And he said to her, `What [is] his form?' and she said, `An aged man is coming up, and he [is] covered with an upper robe;' and Saul knows that he [is] Samuel, and bows--face to you earth--and does obeisance.

¹³ and it comes to pass, at Elijah's hearing [it], that he wraps his face in his robe, and goes out, and stands at the opening of the cave, and lo, unto him [is] a voice, and it said, `What--to you, here, Elijah?.

⁸ And Elijah takes his robe, and wraps [it] together, and smites the waters, and they are halved, hither and thither, and they pass over both of them on dry land.

¹³ And he takes up the robe of Elijah, that fell from off him, and turns back and stands on the edge of the Jordan, ¹⁴ and he takes the robe of Elijah that fell from off him, and smites the waters, and said, `Where [is] Yahweh, Elohim of Elijah--even He?' and he smites the waters, and they are halved, hither and thither, and Elisha passes over.

⁷⁰ He chose David, His servant, And He took him from the folds of the flock;" ⁷¹ From following the ewes, He brought him To shepherd Jacob, His people, And Israel, His allotment." ⁷² So he shepherded them in the integrity of his heart, And by the understanding of his palms, he guided them."

¹⁴ Yet Amos is answering and saying to Amaziah, I am not a prophet, nor am I a son of a prophet. For I am a herder and a puncturer of sycamore figs."

⁵ And he shall say, I am not a prophet! I am a man serving the ground, for a human caused me to acquire it from my youth."

¹⁸ Now, walking beside the sea of Galilee, He perceived two brothers, Simon, termed Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a purse net into the sea, for they were fishers. ¹⁹ And He is saying to them, "Hither! After Me, and I will be making you fishers of men!"
