¹ And draw near do the days of David to die, and he charges Solomon his son, saying, ² `I am going in the way of all the earth, and you have been strong, and become a man, <sup>3</sup> and kept the charge of Yahweh your Elohim, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commands, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, so that you do wisely all that you do, and whithersoever you turn, <sup>4</sup> so that Yahweh does establish His word which He spoke unto me, saying, If your sons observe their way to walk before Me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul; saying, There is not cut off a man of your from the throne of Israel. <sup>5</sup> `And also, you have known that which he did to me--Joab son of Zeruiah--that which he did to two heads of the hosts of Israel, to Abner son of Ner, and to Amasa son of Jether--that he slays them, and makes the blood of war in peace, and puts the blood of war in his girdle, that [is] on his loins, and in his sandals that [are] on his feet;" ⁶ and you have done according to your wisdom, and do not let his old age go down in peace to Sheol. ⁷ `And to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite you do do kindness, and they have been among those eating at your table, for so they drew near unto me in my fleeing from the face of Absalom your brother. <sup>8</sup> `And lo, with you [is] Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite of Bahurim, and he reviled me--a grievous reviling--in the day of my going to Mahanaim; and he has come down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swear to him by Yahweh, saying, I do not put you to death by the sword;" ⁹ and now, acquit him not, for a wise man you [are], and you have known that which you do to him, and have brought down his old age with blood to Sheol.. ¹⁰ And David lies down with his fathers, and is buried in the city of David, ¹¹ and the days that David has reigned over Israel [are] forty years, in Hebron he has reigned seven years, and in Jerusalem he has reigned thirty and three years. ¹² And Solomon has sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom is established greatly, ¹³ and Adonijah son of Haggith comes in unto Bath-Sheba, mother of Solomon, and she said, `Is your coming peace?' and he said, `Peace.. ¹⁴ And he said, `I have a word unto you,' and she said, `Speak.. ¹⁵ And he said, `You have known that the kingdom was mine, and towards me set their faces had all Israel for reigning, and the kingdom is turned round about, and is my brother's, for from Yahweh it was his;" <sup>16</sup> and now, one petition I am asking of you--turn not back my face;' and she said unto him, `Speak.. ¹⁷ And he said, `Speak, I pray you, to Solomon the king, for he does not turn back your face, and he does give to me Abishag the Shunammite for a wife.. <sup>18</sup> And Bath-Sheba said, `Good; I do speak for you unto the king.. ¹⁹ And Bath-Sheba comes in unto king Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah, and the king rises to meet her, and bows himself to her, and sits on his throne, and places a throne for the mother of the king, and she sits at his right hand. ²⁰ And she said, `One small petition I ask of you, turn not back my face;' and the king said to her, `Ask, my mother, for I do not turn back your face.. ²¹ And she said, `Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah your brother for a wife.. <sup>22</sup> And king Solomon answers and said to his mother, `And why are you asking Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? also ask for him the kingdom--for he [is] mine elder brother--even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab son of Zeruiah.. ²³ And king Solomon swears by Yahweh, saying, `Thus does Elohim to me, and thus He does add--surely against his soul has Adonijah spoken this word;" <sup>24</sup> and now, Yahweh lives, who has established me, and causes me to sit on the throne of David my father, and who has made for me an house as He spoke--surely to-day is Adonijah put to death.. <sup>25</sup> And king Solomon sends by the hand of Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he falls upon him, and he dies. <sup>26</sup> And to Abiathar the priest said the king, `To Anathoth go, unto your fields; for a man of death you [are], but in this day I do not put you to death, because you have borne the ark of the Lord Yahweh before David my father, and because you wast afflicted in all that my father was afflicted in.. ²⁷ And Solomon casts out Abiathar from being priest to Yahweh, to fulfil the word of Yahweh which He spoke concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh. ²⁸ And the report has come unto Joab--for Joab has turned aside after Adonijah, though after Absalom he did not turn aside--and Joab flees unto the tent of Yahweh, and lays hold on the horns of the altar. ²⁹ And it is declared to king Solomon that Joab has fled unto the tent of Yahweh, and lo, near the altar; and Solomon sends Benaiah son of Jehoiada, saying, `Go, fall upon him.. <sup>30</sup> And Benaiah comes in unto the tent of Yahweh, and said unto him, `Thus said the king, Come out;' and he said, `Nay, but here I die.' And Benaiah brings back the king word, saying, `Thus spoke Joab, yea, thus he answered me.. ³¹ And the king said to him, `Do as he has spoken, and fall upon him, and you have buried him, and turned aside the causeless blood which Joab shed, from off me, and from off the house of my father;" <sup>32</sup> and Yahweh has turned back his blood on his own head, who has fallen on two men more righteous and better than he, and slays them with the sword, --and my father David knew not--Abner son of Ner, head of the host of Israel, and Amasa son of Jether, head of the host of Judah;" <sup>33</sup> yea, turned back has their blood on the head of Joab, and on the head of his seed to the eon; and for David, and for his seed, and for his house, and for his throne, there is peace unto the eon, from Yahweh.. <sup>34</sup> And Benaiah son of Jehoiada goes up and falls upon him, and puts him to death, and he is buried in his own house in the wilderness, <sup>35</sup> and the king puts Benaiah son of Jehoiada in his stead over the host, and Zadok the priest has the king put in the stead of Abiathar. <sup>36</sup> And the king sends and calls for Shimei, and said to him, `Build for you a house in Jerusalem, and you have dwelt there, and do not go out thence any where;" ³⁷ and it has been, in the day of your going out, and you have passed over the brook Kidron, you do certainly know that you do surely die--your blood is on your head.. ³⁸ And Shimei said to the king, `The word [is] good; as my lord the king has spoken so does your servant do;' and Shimei dwells in Jerusalem many days. <sup>39</sup> And it comes to pass, at the end of three years, that flee do two of the servants of Shimei unto Achish son of Maachah, king of Gath, and they declare to Shimei, saying, `Lo, your servants [are] in Gath;. ⁴⁰ and Shimei rises, and saddles his ass, and goes to Gath, unto Achish, to seek his servants, and Shimei goes and brings his servants from Gath. ⁴¹ And it is declared to Solomon that Shimei has gone from Jerusalem to Gath, and does return, ⁴² and the king sends and calls for Shimei, and said unto him, `Have I not caused you to swear by Yahweh--and I testify against you, saying, In the day of your going out, and you have gone anywhere, you do certainly know that you do surely die; and you say unto me, The word I have heard [is] good? <sup>43</sup> and wherefore have you not kept the oath of Yahweh, and the charge that I charged upon you?. <sup>44</sup> And the king said unto Shimei, `You have known all the evil that your heart has known, which you did to David my father, and Yahweh has turned back your evil on your head, ⁴⁵ and king Solomon [is] blessed, and the throne of David is established before Yahweh unto the eon.. ⁴⁶ And the king charges Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he goes out and falls on him, and he dies, and the kingdom is established in the hand of Solomon.

¹¹ And now, cursed are you by the ground, which opens its mouth wide to take your brother's blood from your hand.

⁵ Yea, and your blood for your souls I will require. From the hand of every living animal will I require it, and from the hand of humanity. From the hand of a man's brother I will require the soul of a human. ⁶ The shedder of the blood of a human, by a human his blood shall be shed, for in the image of the Elohim has He made humanity.

¹ And coming is Abram to be ninety nine years of age. And appearing is Yahweh to Abram and is saying to him, "I am the El-Who-Suffices. Walk before Me and become flawless.

¹⁹ For I know him, that, responding, he will instruct his sons and his household after him, and keep will they the way of Yahweh to do justice and judgment, that Yahweh may bring on Abraham all that He speaks concerning him.

³⁸ And saying is he, "Not go down with you shall my son, for his brother is dead, and he alone remains. And meets him a mishap in the way in which you will go, then down will you bring my gray hairs with affliction to the unseen.

³¹ and it comes as he sees that no youth is with us, he will die, and down will your servants bring the gray hairs of your servant, our father, by affliction to the unseen.

²⁹ And near are drawing the days of Israel's death, and he is calling his son Joseph and is saying to him, "Pray, should I find grace in your eyes, pray place your hand under my thigh and pray deal with me in kindness and truth. Pray, you must not entomb me in Egypt.

²¹ So it came to be because the midwives feared the One, Elohim, that He provided households for them.

⁷ You shall not take up the name of Yahweh your Elohim for futility, for Yahweh shall not hold innocent him who takes up His name for futility.

¹² Glorify your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged on the ground which Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you.

¹⁴ Yet in case a man was planning arrogantly against his associate so as to kill him by craft, from My altar shall you take him to die.

²⁸ You shall not maledict the elohim, and a prince among your people you shall not curse.

² You will make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it; and you will overlay it with copper.

³ Each of you shall fear his mother and his father, and observe My sabbaths:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

³² In the presence of the greyhaired shall you rise and honor the face of the old. You will fear your Elohim:I am Yahweh.

⁹ For any man who shall maledict his father or his mother shall be put to death, yea death. It is his father and his mother whom he maledicts; his blood-guilt will be on him.

³ If you walk by My statutes and observe My instructions and keep them,

¹¹ Phineas, son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, reversed My fury from the sons of Israel in his zeal for My jealousy in their midst so I did not finish the sons of Israel in My jealousy. ¹² Therefore say:Behold Me giving to him My covenant of peace; ¹³ it will be his and his seed's after him, the covenant of an eonian priesthood, inasmuch as he was zealous for his Elohim and made a propitiatory shelter over the sons of Israel.

¹⁹ have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before the whole congregation and instruct him before their eyes.

²³ Yet if you shall not do so, behold, you will have sinned against Yahweh; realize that your sin shall find you.

³³ You shall not pollute the land in which you are dwelling; for it is the blood that pollutes the land. As for the land, no shelter may be made for the blood which was shed on it save by the blood of him who shed it.

²⁸ Yet instruct Joshua and encourage him and make him resolute, for he shall cross over before this people, and he shall allot to them the land that you shall see.

¹ Now, Israel, hearken to the statutes and to the judgments that I am teaching you today, to obey them, that you may live and may enter and tenant the land that Yahweh Elohim of your fathers is giving to you.

⁵ See! I have taught you statutes and judgments just as Yahweh my Elohim had instructed me, for you to do thus within the land where you are entering to tenant it.

⁸ And what great nation is there which has statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law that I am putting before you today?

⁴⁵ These are the testimonies and the statutes and the judgments that Moses pronounced to the sons of Israel when they had come forth from Egypt,

¹ Moses called to all Israel and said to them:Hear, Israel, the statutes and the judgments that I am speaking in your ears today, that you learn them and observe to obey them.

¹ Now this is the instruction, the statutes and the judgments that Yahweh your Elohim had enjoined on me to teach you, to keep in the land where you are crossing over to tenant it, ² that you may fear Yahweh your Elohim, so as to observe all His statutes and His instructions which I am enjoining on you today, you and your son and your son's son, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

⁵ So you will love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your intensity.

¹² It will come to be, insomuch as you shall hearken to these judgments, and you observe and do them, that Yahweh your Elohim will keep with you the covenant and the kindness about which He had sworn to your fathers;"

¹² And now, Israel, what is Yahweh your Elohim asking of you, save to fear Yahweh your Elohim, to walk in all His ways, to love Him and to serve Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul,

¹³ It will come to be when you shall hearken, yea hearken to My instructions that I am enjoining on you today, to love Yahweh your Elohim and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,

¹⁸ It will come to be when he is seated on the throne of his kingdom, that he will write for himself a duplicate of this law on a scroll from the one before the priests, the Levites. ¹⁹ And it will be with him, and he will read in it all the days of his life that he may learn:to fear Yahweh your Elohim, to observe all the words of this law and these statutes to obey them, ²⁰ by no means to exalt his heart above his brothers and by no means to withdraw from the instruction, neither to the right nor left, so that he may prolong his days on the throne of his kingdom, he and his sons among Israel.

¹² then the elders of his city will send for him, take him from there and give him into the hand of the redeemer of blood so that he may die. ¹³ Your eye shall not commiserate over him. Thus you will eradicate from Israel the shedding of innocent blood, and it will be well with you.

⁸ Make a propitiatory shelter for Your people, Israel, whom You have ransomed, Yahweh, and let not guilt for the blood of the innocent remain among Your people, Israel. Thus a propitiatory shelter for them will be made concerning this bloodshed. ⁹ So you yourself shall eradicate the shedding of innocent blood from among you, for you shall do what is upright in the eyes of Yahweh.

⁹ So you will observe the words of this covenant and obey them, so that you may proceed intelligently in all that you undertake.

⁶ Be steadfast, and be resolute! Do not fear, and do not be terrified because of their presence, for Yahweh your Elohim, He is the One going with you; He shall neither neglect you nor forsake you. ⁷ Moses called to Joshua and said to him before the eyes of all Israel:Be steadfast and be resolute, for you shall bring this people into the land about which Yahweh had sworn to their fathers to give to them, and you shall allot it to them.

¹⁴ Then Yahweh said to Moses:Behold, near are your days to die. Call Joshua and station yourselves in the tent of appointment, that I may instruct him. So Moses and Joshua went and stationed themselves in the tent of appointment.

²³ Then He instructed Joshua son of Nun and said:Be steadfast and be resolute! For you shall bring the sons of Israel to the land about which I had sworn to them; and I Myself shall come to be with you.

³⁵ for the day of vengeance and repayment, for the season when their foot shall slip? For the day of their calamity is near, and impending doom hurries upon them.

¹ This is the blessing with which Moses, the man of Elohim, blessed the sons of Israel before his death,

⁶ be strong and courageous, for you--you do cause this people to inherit the land which I have sworn to their fathers to give to them. ⁷ `Only, be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; you do not turn aside from it right or left, so that you do act wisely in every [place] whither you go;"

¹⁹ and it has been, any one who goes out from the doors of your house without, his blood [is] on his head, and we are innocent; and any one who is with you in the house, his blood [is] on our head, if a hand is on him;"

⁶¹ In the wilderness:Beth-Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,

¹ And all the company of the sons of Israel are assembled [at] Shiloh, and they cause the tent of meeting to tabernacle there, and the land has been subdued before them.

¹⁸ Anathoth and its suburbs, and Almon and its suburbs--four cities;"

⁵ Only, be very watchful to do the command and the law which Moses, servant of Yahweh, commanded you, to love Yahweh your Elohim, and to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commands, and to cleave to Him, and to serve Him, with all your heart, and with all your soul..

¹⁴ `And lo, I am going, to-day, in the way of all the earth, and you have known--with all your heart, and with all your soul--that there has not fallen one thing of all the good things which Yahweh your Elohim has spoken concerning you; the whole have come to you; there has not failed of it one thing.

²⁰ And he said to Jether his first-born, `Rise, slay them;' and the young man has not drawn his sword, for he has been afraid, for he [is] yet a youth. <sup>21</sup> And Zebah said--also Zalmunna--`Rise you, and fall upon us; for as the man--his might;' and Gideon rises, and slays Zebah and Zalmunna, and takes their round ornaments which [are] on the necks of their camels.

²⁴ for the coming in of the violence [to] the seventy sons of Jerubbaal, and of their blood to place [it] on Abimelech their brother, who slew them, and on the masters of Shechem, who strengthened his hands to slay his brethren.

⁵⁷ and all the evil of the men of Shechem has Elohim turned back on their head, and come unto them does the cursing of Jotham son of Jerubbaal.

¹⁷ Where you die, I shall die; and there I shall be entombed. Thus may Yahweh do to me and thus add to it if anything but death parts me from you.

²⁷ And there comes a man of Elohim unto Eli, and said unto him, `Thus said Yahweh, Was I really revealed unto the house of your father in their being in Egypt, before Pharaoh's house, <sup>28</sup> even to choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to Me for a priest, to go up on Mine altar, to make a perfume, to bear an ephod before Me, and I give to the house of your father all the fire-offerings of the sons of Israel? <sup>29</sup> Why do you kick at My sacrifice, and at Mine offering which I commanded [in] My habitation, and do honor your sons above Me, to make yourselves fat from the first part of every offering of Israel, of My people? <sup>30</sup> `Therefore--the affirmation of Yahweh, Elohim of Israel--I certainly said, Your house and the house of your father, do walk up and down before Me to the eon; and now--the affirmation of Yahweh--Far be it from Me! for he who is honoring Me, I honor, and those despising Me, are lightly esteemed. ³¹ `Lo, days [are] coming, and I have cut off your arm, and the arm of the house of your father, that an old man is not in your house;" <sup>32</sup> and you have beheld an adversary [in My] habitation, in all that He does good with Israel, and there is not an old man in your house all the days. <sup>33</sup> `And the man I cut not off of your from Mine altar, [is] to consume your eyes, and to grieve your soul; and all the increase of your house do die men;" ³⁴ and this [is] to you the sign that comes unto your two sons, unto Hophni and Phinehas--in one day they die both of them;" ³⁵ and I have raised up for Me a stedfast priest; as in My heart and in My soul he does do; and I have built for him a stedfast house, and he has walked up and down before Mine anointed all the days;"

¹² In that day I establish unto Eli all that I have spoken unto his house, beginning and completing;" ¹³ and I have declared to him that I am judging his house--to the eon, for the iniquity which he has known, for his sons are making themselves vile, and he has not restrained them, ¹⁴ and therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli:the iniquity of the house of Eli is not atoned for, by sacrifice, and by offering--unto the eon..

⁴⁴ And Saul said, `Thus does Elohim do, and thus does He add, for you do certainly die, Jonathan..

²⁸ And Samuel said unto him, `Yahweh has rent the kingdom of Israel from you to-day, and given it to your neighbor who is better than you;"

³³ And Samuel said, `As your sword bereaved women--so is your mother bereaved above women;' and Samuel hews Agag in pieces before Yahweh in Gilgal.

⁴ And Samuel does that which Yahweh has spoken, and comes in to Beth-Lehem, and the elders of the city tremble to meet him, and [one] said, `Is your coming peace?. <sup>5</sup> and he said, `Peace; to sacrifice to Yahweh I have come, sanctify yourselves, and you have come in with me to the sacrifice;' and he sanctifies Jesse and his sons, and calls them to the sacrifice.

⁵ And David goes out whithersoever Saul does send him; he acted wisely, and Saul sets him over the men of war, and it is good in the eyes of all the people, and also in the eyes of the servants of Saul.

¹⁴ And David is in all his ways acting wisely, and Yahweh [is] with him,

³⁰ And the princes of the Philistines come out, and it comes to pass from the time of their coming out, David has acted more wisely than any of the servants of Saul, and his name is very precious.

¹⁰ And David rises and flees on that day from the face of Saul, and comes in unto Achish king of Gath;"

²⁰ And there escapes one son of Ahimelech, son of Ahitub, and his name [is] Abiathar, and he flees after David, ²¹ and Abiathar declares to David that Saul has slain the priests of Yahweh. ²² And David said to Abiathar, `I have known on that day when Doeg the Edomite [is] there, that he does certainly declare [it] to Saul; I have brought [it] round to every person of the house of your father;" ²³ dwell with me; fear not; for he who seeks my life seeks your life; for a charge [are] you with me.'

⁶ And it comes to pass, in the fleeing of Abiathar son of Ahimelech unto David, to Keilah, an ephod came down in his hand. ⁷ And it is declared to Saul that David has come in to Keilah, and Saul said, `Elohim has made him known for my hand, for he has been shut in, to enter into a city of doors and bar.. <sup>8</sup> And Saul summons the whole of the people to battle, to go down to Keilah, to lay siege unto David and unto his men. <sup>9</sup> And David knows that against him Saul is devising the evil, and said unto Abiathar the priest, `Bring nigh the ephod..

²⁸ `Bear, I pray you, with the transgression of your handmaid, for Yahweh does certainly make to my lord a stedfast house; for the battles of Yahweh has my lord fought, and evil is not found in you [all] your days.

³⁹ and David hears that Nabal [is] dead, and said, `Blessed [is] Yahweh who has pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and His servant has kept back from evil, and the wickedness of Nabal has Yahweh turned back on his own head;' and David sends and speaks with Abigail, to take her to him for a wife.

¹⁶ Not good is this thing which you have done; Yahweh lives, but you [are] sons of death, in that you have not watched over your lord, over the anointed of Yahweh; and now, see where the king's spear [is], and the cruse of water which [is] at his bolster..

² And David rises, and passes over, he and six hundred men who [are] with him, unto Achish son of Maoch king of Gath;" ³ and David dwells with Achish in Gath, he and his men, each one with his household, [even] David and his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail wife of Nabal the Carmelitess.

¹⁵ And David calls to one of the youths, and said, `Draw nigh--fall upon him;' and he smites him, and he dies;" <sup>16</sup> and David said unto him, `Your blood [is] on your own head, for your mouth has testified against you, saying, I--I put to death the anointed of Yahweh..

¹⁸ And there are there three sons of Zeruiah, Joab, and Abishai, and Asahel, and Asahel [is] light on his feet, as one of the roes which [are] in the field,

⁷ and Saul has a concubine, and her name [is] Rizpah daughter of Aiah, and [Ish-Bosheth] said unto Abner, `Wherefore have you gone in unto the concubine of my father?.

⁹ thus does Elohim to Abner, and thus He does add to him, surely as Yahweh has sworn to David--surely so I do to him.

²⁶ And Joab goes out from David, and sends messengers after Abner, and they bring him back from the well of Sirah, and David knew not. ²⁷ And Abner turns back to Hebron, and Joab turns him aside unto the midst of the gate to speak with him quietly, and smites him there in the fifth [rib] --and he dies--for the blood of Asahel his brother.

³⁵ And all the people come to cause David to eat bread while yet day, and David swears, saying, `Thus does Elohim to me, and thus He does add, for--before the going in of the sun, I taste no bread or any other thing..

³⁷ and all the people know, even all Israel, in that day, that it has not been from the king--to put to death Abner son of Ner.

³⁹ and I to-day [am] tender, and an anointed king:and these men, sons of Zeruiah, [are] too hard for me; Yahweh does recompense to the doer of the evil according to his evil..

⁶ And Solomon said, `You have done with Your servant David my father great kindness, as he walked before You in truth and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You, and You do keep for him this great kindness, and do give to him a son sitting on his throne, as [at] this day. ⁷ And now, O Yahweh my Elohim, You have caused your servant to reign instead of David my father; and I [am] a little child, I do not know to go out and to come in;"

²⁵ `And now, Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, keep for Your servant David my father that which You spoke to him, saying, There is not cut off to you a man from before Me, sitting on the throne of Israel--only, if your sons watch their way, to walk before Me as you have walked before Me.

⁵ and out of all my sons--for many sons has Yahweh given to me--He also fixes on Solomon my son, to sit on the throne of the kingdom of Yahweh over Israel, ⁶ and said to me, Solomon your son, he does build My house, and My courts, for I have fixed on him to Me for a son, and I--I am to him for a father, ⁷ and I have established his kingdom to the eon, if he is strong to do My commands, and My judgments, as at this day. ⁸ `And now, before the eyes of all Israel, the assembly of Yahweh, and in the ears of our Elohim, keep and seek all the commands of Yahweh your Elohim, so that you possess this good land, and have caused your sons to inherit after you unto the eon. <sup>9</sup> `And you, Solomon, my son, know the Elohim of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart, and with a willing mind, for all hearts is Yahweh seeking, and every imagination of the thoughts He is understanding; if you do seek Him, He is found of you, and if you do forsake Him, He casts you off for ever.

¹³ The terminus of the whole matter has been heard:Fear the One, Elohim, and keep His instructions, For this is the whole duty of humanity."

⁶ For a Boy is born to us; a Son is given to us, and the chieftainship shall come to be on His shoulder, and His name is called "Marvelous.Counsel to the master shall He bring, to the chief of the future, welfare." ⁷ To the increase of the chieftainship, and to the welfare shall be no end. On the throne of David, and over his kingdom, to prepare it, and to brace it with judgment and with justice, henceforth and in the future eon. The zeal of Yahweh of hosts will do this."

³⁰ Shrill your voice, daughter of Gallim! Attend, Laish! Respond, Anathoth!"

¹ And a Twig shall fare forth from the set slip of Jesse, and a Scion from his roots shall be fruitful." ² And the spirit of Yahweh shall rest on Him:A spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and mastery, a spirit of knowledge and the fear of Yahweh." ³ And His scent is in the fear of Yahweh. And not by the sight of His eyes will He judge, and not by the hearing of His ears will He correct." ⁴ Yet He will judge with righteousness the poor, and correct with equity for the humble of the land. And He will smite the earth with the club of His mouth, and with the spirit of His lips will He put to death the wicked." ⁵ And it comes that righteousness is the belt of His waist, and faithfulness the band of His loins." ⁶ Then the wolf will sojourn with the he-lamb, and the leopard will recline with the kid. And the calf and the sheltered lion will graze together, and a small lad will lead among them." ⁷ And the young cow and the bear will graze together, and together they will recline their young. And the lion, as the beeve, will eat crushed straw." ⁸ And the sucking will revel over the hole of a cobra, and on the light-shaft of a yellow viper the weanling his hand obtrudes." ⁹ They will not do evil, nor will they ruin, in all My holy mountain, for full is the earth of the knowledge of Yahweh. As water for the sea floor is a covering."

²² No peace,says Yahweh, "is there for the wicked."

² and entering into peace, and resting on their beds, and going in correctness."

²¹ No peace,says Yahweh, my Elohim, "is there for the wicked."

²⁰ And no longer shall there be thence a child of few days, or an old man who is not filling his days, for the youth will be a hundred years old, yet the one dying will be a sinner, a hundred years old; he shall be made light of."

¹ Words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, of the priests who [are] in Anathoth, in the land of Benjamin,

³⁴ Also in your skirts has been found the blood of innocent needy souls, Not by digging have I found them, but upon all these."

² And you have sworn--Yahweh lives, In truth, in judgment, and in righteousness, And blessed themselves in Him have nations, And in Him they boast themselves."

¹⁵ They were ashamed when they did abomination! Yea, they are not at all ashamed, Yea, blushing they have not known, Therefore they do fall among those falling, In the time I have inspected them, They stumble, said Yahweh."

¹² But go you, I pray you, Unto My place that [is] in Shiloh, Where I caused My name to dwell at first, And see that which I have done to it, For the wickedness of My people Israel." ¹³ And now, because of your doing all these works, An affirmation of Yahweh, And I speak unto you, rising early and speaking, And you have not hearkened, And I call you, and you have not answered, ¹⁴ I also to the house on which My name is called, In which you are trusting, And to the place that I gave to you, and to your fathers, Have done, as I have done to Shiloh."

⁵ Thus do you say unto your lords, I--I have made the earth with man, and the cattle that [are] on the face of the earth, by My great power, and by My stretched-out arm, and I have given it to whom it has been right in Mine eyes." ⁶ `And now, I--I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and also the beast of the field I have given to him to serve him;" ⁷ And served him have all the nations, and his son, and his son's son, till the coming in of the time of his land, also it; and done service for him have many nations and great kings." ⁸ And it has come to pass, the nation and the kingdom that do not serve him--Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon--and that which puts not its neck into the yoke of the king of Babylon, with sword, and with famine, and with pestilence, I lay a charge on that nation--an affirmation of Yahweh--till I consume them by his hand."

⁴⁰ And all the valley of the carcases and of the ashes, And all the fields unto the brook Kidron, Unto the corner of the horse-gate eastward, [Are] holy to Yahweh, it is not plucked up, Nor is it thrown down any more to the eon!"

⁶ aged, young man, and virgin, and infant, and women, you do slay--to destruction; and against any man on whom [is] the mark you do not go nigh, and from My sanctuary you begin.'"

¹⁸ And he despised the oath--to break covenant, And lo, he has given his hand, And all these he has done, he escapes not." ¹⁹ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:I live--Mine oath that he has despised, And My covenant that he has broken, Have I not put it on his head?

¹³ In usury he has given, and increase taken, And he lives:he does not live, All these abominations he has done, He does surely die, his blood is on him."

⁷ For her blood in her midst has been, On a clear place of a rock she has set it, She has not poured it on the earth, To cover it over with dust." ⁸ To cause fury to come up to take vengeance, I have put her blood on a clear place of a rock--not to be covered."

²² He is revealing the deep and the concealed things; knowing what is in the darkness since with Him a stream of light solves them.

⁹ And it comes to be as the people are, so is the priest. And I visit on them their ways, and their actions will I reverse to them."

² Yet I will gather all nations to Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be seized, and the houses are rifled, and the women ravished. And half the city shall fare forth into deportation. Yet the rest of My people shall not be cut off from the city."

⁴ Remember the law of Moses, My servant, which I instruct him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes and judgments."

¹ Now in those days, coming along is John the baptist, heralding in the wilderness of Judea,

⁷ Request and it shall be given you. Seek and you shall find. Knock and it shall be opened to you." ⁸ For everyone who is requesting is obtaining, and who is seeking is finding, and to him who is knocking it shall be opened." ⁹ Or what man is there among you, from whom his son will be requesting bread-no stone will he be handing him!" ¹⁰ Or he will be requesting a fish also-no serpent will he be handing him! ¹¹ If you, then, being wicked, have perceived how to be giving good gifts to your children, how much rather shall your Father Who is in the heavens be giving good things to those requesting Him?

³⁵ For I came to pit a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law." ³⁶ And the enemies of a man are those of his household.

⁴² And whoever should be giving one of these little ones only a cool cup to drink, in the name of a disciple, verily, I am saying to you, by no means should he be losing his wages."

²⁴ Moreover, I am saying to you that for the land of Sodom shall it be more tolerable in the day of judging than for you."

¹⁹ Again, verily, I am saying to you that, if ever two of you should be agreeing on the earth concerning any matter, whatsoever it is they should be requesting shall be coming to them from My Father Who is in the heavens."

²⁰ Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to Him with her sons, worshiping and requesting something from Him." ²¹ Now He said to her, "What are you wanting?She is saying to Him, "Say that these, my two sons, should be seated, one at Thy right and one at Thy left, in Thy kingdom." ²² Now answering, Jesus said, "You are not aware what you are requesting. Are you able to be drinking the cup which I am about to be drinking?They are saying to Him, "We are able."

³⁷ Now He averred to him, "You shall be loving the Lord your God with your whole heart, and with your whole soul, and with you whole comprehension."

³³ And He shall be standing the sheep, indeed, at His right, yet the kids at the left."

⁵⁶ Now the whole of this has occurred that the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled.Then all His disciples, leaving Him, fled."

²⁵ And, answering, the entire people said, "His blood be on us and on our children!"

³⁸ Yet Jesus said to them, "Not aware are you what you are requesting. Are you able to drink the cup which I am drinking, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am being baptized?

⁶ Now they were both just in front of God, going in all the precepts and just statutes of the Lord, blameless."

³¹ And lo! you shall be conceiving and be pregnant and be bringing forth a Son, and you shall be calling His name Jesus." ³² He shall be great, and Son of the Most High shall He be called. And the Lord God shall be giving Him the throne of David, ³³ His father, and He shall reign over the house of Jacob for the eons. And of His kingdom there shall be no consummation."

¹⁴ Glory to God among the Highest! And on earth peace, Among men, delight!"

⁴⁰ And answering, Jesus said to him, "Simon, I have something to say to you.Now he is averring, "Teacher, say it!"

⁵ Now into whatever house you may be entering, first say, 'Peace to this household!'" ⁶ And if a son of peace should be there, your peace will be resting on it; otherwise, surely it will come back on you."

⁹ And I to you am saying, Request, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you." ¹⁰ For everyone who is requesting is obtaining and who is seeking is finding, and to the one knocking it shall be opened."

¹⁵ Now He said to them, "See and guard against all greed, for one's life is not in the superfluity of his possessions."

³⁷ Happy are those slaves, whom the Lord, coming, will be finding watching. Verily, I am saying to you that He will be girding Himself about and causing them to recline, and, coming by, will be serving them."

²² Yet the father said to his slaves, 'Quick! Bring forth the first robe, and put it on him, and give him a ring for his hand and sandals for his feet."

²² Now he is saying to him, 'Out of your mouth will I judge you, wicked slave! You were aware that I am a harsh man, picking up what I do not lay down and reaping what I do not sow."

²⁸ Now you are those who have continued with Me in My trials."

²⁸ Now you are those who have continued with Me in My trials." ²⁹ And I am covenanting a covenant with you, according as My Father covenanted a kingdom to Me, ³⁰ that you may be eating and drinking at My table in My kingdom. And you will be seated on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

³ And, at their being in want of wine, the mother of Jesus is saying to Him, "They have no wine." ⁴ And Jesus is saying to her, "What is it to Me and to thee, woman! Not as yet is My hour arriving."

⁹ Now those hearing it came out one by one, beginning with the elders, to the last. And Jesus was left alone, the woman also being in the midst."

³⁸ that the word of Isaiah the prophet, which he said, may be being fulfilled, "Lord, who believes our tidings? And the arm of the Lord, to whom was it revealed?

¹³ And whatever you should be requesting in My name, this I will be doing, that the Father should be glorified in the Son." ¹⁴ If you should ever be requesting anything of Me in My name, this I will be doing."

⁹ According as the Father loves Me, I, also, love you. Remain in My love." ¹⁰ If ever you should be keeping My precepts, you will be remaining in My love, according as I have kept the precepts of My Father and am remaining in His love."

¹⁶ Not you choose Me, but I choose you, and I appoint you, that you may be going away and be bringing forth much fruit, and your fruit may be remaining, that anything whichsoever you should be requesting the Father in My name, He will be giving it to you."

¹ These things saying, Jesus came out with His disciples to the other side of the Kedron winter brook, where there was a garden, into which He entered, He and His disciples."

²⁴ They said, then, to one another, "We should not be rending it, but we may take chances on it, whose it shall be,that the scripture may be fulfilled which is saying, "They divide My garments among themselves, And on My vesture they cast the lot.The soldiers, indeed, then, do these things."

²⁸ After this, Jesus, being aware that all is already accomplished, that the scripture may be perfected, is saying, "I thirst!"

³⁶ For these things occurred that the scripture may be fulfilled, "A bone of it shall not be crushed." ³⁷ And again, a different scripture is saying, they shall see Him whom they stab."

²⁰ For it is written in the scroll of the Psalms, Let his domicile become desolate, And let no one be dwelling in it, and 'Let his supervision be taken by another.' "

²⁹ Men! Brethren! Allow me to say to you with boldness concerning the patriarch David, that he deceases also and was entombed, and his tomb is among us until this day."

³⁶ For David, indeed, subserving his own generation by God's counsel, was put to repose, and was added to his fathers, and was acquainted with decay;"

²⁸ Take heed to yourselves and to the entire flocklet, among which the holy spirit appointed you supervisors, to be shepherding the ecclesia of God, which He procures through the blood of His Own." ²⁹ Now I am aware that, after I am out of reach, burdensome wolves will be entering among you, not sparing the flocklet." ³⁰ And from among yourselves will arise men, speaking perverse things to pull away disciples after themselves." ³¹ Wherefore watch, remembering that for three years, night and day, I cease not admonishing each one with tears."

⁴ Now, as the barbarians perceived the wild beast hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "Undoubtedly this man is a murderer, whom, being safely through out of the sea, Justice lets not live."

¹⁵ who are displaying the action of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying together and their reckonings between one another, accusing or defending them,

⁵ Wherefore it is necessary to be subject, not only because of indignation, but also because of conscience."

¹³ Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be manly! Be staunch!

⁴ So much did you suffer feignedly? Since, surely, it also is feignedly!"

¹⁰ For the rest, brethren mine, be invigorated in the Lord and in the might of His strength."

¹⁸ This charge I am committing to you, child Timothy, according to the preceding prophecies over you, that in them you may be warring the ideal warfare,

¹² Let no one be despising your youth, but become a model for the believers, in word, in behavior, in love, in faith, in purity."

¹⁰ For a root of all of the evils is the fondness for money, which some, craving, were led astray from the faith and try themselves on all sides with much pain."

¹³ I am charging you in the sight of God, Who is vivifying all, and of Jesus Christ, Who testifies in the ideal avowal before Pontius Pilate,

¹ You, then, child of mine, be invigorated by the grace which is in Christ Jesus."

¹ I am conjuring you in the sight of God and Christ Jesus, Who is about to be judging the living and the dead, in accord with His advent and His kingdom:"

⁶ For I am already a libation, and the period of my dissolution is imminent."

²⁷ And, in as much as it is reserved to the men to be dying once, yet after this a judging,

³ You are requesting and not obtaining, because you are requesting evilly, that you should be spending it on your gratifications."

¹⁷ seeing that it is the era for the judgment to begin from the house of God. Now if first from us, what is the consummation of those who are stubborn as to God's evangel?

¹³ Now I am deeming it just, for as much time as I am in this tabernacle, to be rousing you by a reminder, ¹⁴ being aware that my tabernacle is to be put off swiftly according as our Lord, Jesus Christ, also makes evident to me." ¹⁵ Yet I shall endeavor to have you, after my exodus, to make mention of these things, ever and anon, also."

²⁰ seeing that, if our heart should be censuring us, God is greater than our heart, and He knows all."

²⁰ Now you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in holy spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for life eonian."

²⁴ Now to Him Who is able to guard you from tripping, and to stand you flawless in sight of His glory, in exultation,

²⁰ Lo! I stand at the door and am knocking. If ever anyone should be hearing My voice and opening the door, I will also be coming in to him and dining with him, and he with Me. " ²¹ '"The one who is conquering, to him will I be granting to be seated with Me on My throne as I, also, conquer, and am seated with My Father on His throne."
