⁸ And the Ammonites give a present to Uzziah, and his name goes unto the entering in of Egypt, for he strengthened himself greatly.

² And make you will I into a great nation, and bless you will I and make your name great, and become must you a blessing.

³⁸ And the inferior in station, she, moreover, bears a son, and is calling his name Ben-Ammi. He is the forefather of the sons of Ammon till this day.

¹⁹ then you will come near to the forefront of the sons of Ammon. Do not distress them and do not stir yourself up against them, for I shall not give any of the country of the sons of Ammon to you as a tenancy, since I gave it to the sons of Lot as a tenancy.

¹ And Nahash the Ammonite comes up, and encamps against Jabesh-Gilead, and all the men of Jabesh say unto Nahash, `Make with us a covenant, and we serve you..

² And he smites Moab, and measures them with a line, causing them to lie down on the earth, and he measures two lines to put to death, and the fulness of the line to keep alive, and the Moabites are to David for servants, bearers of a present.

¹³ And David makes a name in his turning back from his smiting Aram in the valley of Salt--eighteen thousand;

³¹ and he is wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol, and his name is in all the nations round about.

²⁴ And forth came the tidings of Him into the whole of Syria. And they bring to Him all who have an illness, those with various diseases and pressing torments, also demoniacs and epileptics and paralytics, and He cures them.
