2 Corinthians 1:9 Cross References - CLV

⁹ But we have the rescript of death in ourselves, that we may be having no confidence in ourselves, but in God, Who rouses the dead,

¹⁴ Then even I Myself shall acclaim you, Because your right hand has brought salvation to you.

²⁹ Yea, to Him shall bow down All those about to be sleeping in the earth; Before Him shall crouch All those descending to the soil. And he who did not keep his soul alive--"

⁵ By You, we gored our foes; In Your Name we trampled those rising against us." ⁶ Hence I shall neither trust in my bow, Nor shall my sword bring me salvation;" ⁷ For You have saved us from our foes, And those hating us You have put to shame."

²⁶ He who trusts in his own heart is stupid, Yet he who walks in wisdom shall escape from harm."

²³ Thus said Yahweh:Let not the wise boast himself in his wisdom, Nor let the mighty boast himself in his might, Let not the rich boast himself in his riches, ²⁴ But--in this let the boaster boast himself, In understanding and knowing Me, For I [am] Yahweh, doing kindness, Judgment, and righteousness, in the earth, For in these I have delighted, An affirmation of Yahweh."

⁵ Thus said Yahweh:Cursed [is] the man who does trust in man, And has made flesh his arm, And from Yahweh whose heart turns." ⁶ And he has been as a naked thing in a desert, And does not see when good comes, And has inhabited parched places in a wilderness, A salt land, and not inhabited." ⁷ Blessed [is] the man who trusts in Yahweh, And whose confidence has been Yahweh."

¹³ In My saying of the righteous:He surely lives, And--he has trusted on his righteousness, And he has done perversity, All his righteous acts are not remembered, And for his perversity that he has done, For it he does die."

¹ There has been upon me a hand of Yahweh, and He takes me forth in the Spirit of Yahweh, and does place me in the midst of the valley, and it is full of bones, ² and He causes me to pass over by them, all round about, and lo, very many [are] on the face of the valley, and lo, very dry." ³ And He said unto me, `Son of man, do these bones live?' And I say, `O Lord Yahweh, You--You have known.'" ⁴ And He said unto me, `Prophesy concerning these bones, and you have said unto them:O dry bones, hear a word of Yahweh:" <sup>5</sup> Thus said the Lord Yahweh to these bones:Lo, I am bringing into you a spirit, and you have lived, <sup>6</sup> and I have given on you sinews, and cause flesh to come up upon you, and covered you over with skin, and given in you a spirit, and you have lived, and you have known that I [am] Yahweh.'" <sup>7</sup> And I have prophesied as I have been commanded, and there is a noise, as I am prophesying, and lo, a rushing, and draw near do the bones, bone unto its bone." <sup>8</sup> And I beheld, and lo, on them [are] sinews, and flesh has come up, and cover them does skin over above--and spirit there is none in them." <sup>9</sup> And He said unto me:`Prophesy unto the Spirit, prophesy, son of man, and you have said unto the Spirit:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:From the four winds come in, O Spirit, and breathe on these slain, and they do live.'" ¹⁰ And I have prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit comes into them, and they live, and stand on their feet--a very very great force." ¹¹ And He said unto me, `Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; lo, they are saying:Dried up have our bones, And perished has our hope, We have been cut off by ourselves." ¹² Therefore, prophesy, and you have said unto them, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I am opening your graves, And have brought you up out of your graves, O My people, And brought you in unto the land of Israel." ¹³ And you have known that I [am] Yahweh, In My opening your graves, And in My bringing you up out of your graves, O My people." ¹⁴ And I have given My Spirit in you, and you have lived, And I have caused you to rest on your land, And you have known that I Yahweh, I have spoken, and I have done [it], An affirmation of Yahweh.'"

⁹ Now He said, also, to some who have confidence in themselves that they are just, and are scorning the rest, this parable:"

¹⁷ according as it is written that, A father of many nations have I appointed you - facing which, he believes it of the God Who is vivifying the dead and calling what is not as if it were -" ¹⁸ who, being beyond expectation, believes in expectation, for him to become the father of many nations, according to that which has been declared, "Thus shall be your seed." ¹⁹ And, not being infirm in faith, he considers his body, already deadened (being inherently somewhere about a hundred years) and the deadening of the matrix of Sarah, ²⁰ yet the promise of God was not doubted in unbelief, but he was invigorated by faith, giving glory to God, ²¹ being fully assured also, that, what He has promised, He is able to do also." ²² Wherefore, also, it is reckoned to him for righteousness." ²³ Now it was not written because of him only, that it is reckoned to him, ²⁴ but because of us also, to whom it is about to be reckoned, who are believing on Him Who rouses Jesus our Lord from among the dead." ²⁵ Who was given up because of our offenses, and was roused because of our justifying."

⁵ (not that we are competent of ourselves, to reckon anything as of ourselves, but our competency is of God),

⁷ Now we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the transcendence of the power may be of God and not of us."

¹³ Now having the same spirit of faith, in accord with what is written, "I believe, wherefore I speak also,we also are believing, wherefore we are speaking also, ¹⁴ being aware that He Who rouses the Lord Jesus will be rousing us also, through Jesus, and will be presenting us together with you."

⁷ Wherefore also, lest I should be lifted up by the transcendence of the revelations, there was given to me a splinter in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, that he may be buffeting me, lest I may be lifted up. " ⁸ For this I entreat the Lord thrice, that it should withdraw from me. " ⁹ And He has protested to me, "Sufficient for you is My grace, for My power in infirmity is being perfected.With the greatest relish, then, will I rather be glorying in my infirmities, that the power of Christ should be tabernacling over me. " ¹⁰ Wherefore I delight in infirmities, in outrages, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake, for, whenever I may be weak, then I am powerful. "

¹⁹ reckoning that God is able to be rousing him from among the dead also; whence he recovers him in a parable also.
