¹ And David gathered again every chosen one in Israel, thirty thousand, ² and David rises and goes, and all the people who [are] with him, from Baale-Judah, to bring up thence the ark of Elohim, whose name has been called--the name of Yahweh of Hosts, inhabiting the cherubs--upon it. ³ And they cause the ark of Elohim to ride on a new cart, and lift it up from the house of Abinadab, which [is] in the height, and Uzzah and Ahio sons of Abinadab are leading the new cart;" ⁴ and they lift it up from the house of Abinadab, which [is] in the height, with the ark of Elohim, and Ahio is going before the ark, ⁵ and David and all the house of Israel are playing before Yahweh, with all kinds of [instruments] of fir-wood, even with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cornets, and with cymbals. ⁶ And they come unto the threshing-floor of Nachon, and Uzzah puts forth [his hand] unto the ark of Elohim, and lays hold on it, for they released the oxen;" ⁷ and the anger of Yahweh burns against Uzzah, and Elohim smites him there for the error, and he dies there by the ark of Elohim. ⁸ And it is displeasing to David, because that Yahweh has broken forth a breach upon Uzzah, and [one] calls that place Perez-Uzzah, unto this day;" ⁹ and David fears Yahweh on that day, and said, `How does the ark of Yahweh come in unto me?. <sup>10</sup> And David has not been willing to turn aside unto himself the ark of Yahweh, to the city of David, and David turns it aside to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite, <sup>11</sup> and the ark of Yahweh does inhabit the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months, and Yahweh blesses Obed-Edom and all his house. <sup>12</sup> And it is declared to king David, saying, `Yahweh has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that he has, because of the ark of Elohim;' and David goes and brings up the ark of Elohim from the house of Obed-Edom to the city of David with joy. ¹³ And it comes to pass, when those bearing the ark of Yahweh have stepped six steps, that he sacrifices an ox and a fatling. ¹⁴ And David is dancing with all strength before Yahweh, and David is girded with a linen ephod, ¹⁵ and David and all the house of Israel are bringing up the ark of Yahweh with shouting, and with the voice of a trumpet, ¹⁶ and it has come to pass, the ark of Yahweh has come in to the city of David, and Michal daughter of Saul, has looked through the window, and sees king David moving and dancing before Yahweh, and despises him in her heart. ¹⁷ And they bring in the ark of Yahweh, and set it up in its place, in the midst of the tent which David has spread out for it, and David causes to ascend burnt-offerings before Yahweh, and peace-offerings. ¹⁸ And David finishes from causing to ascend the burnt-offering, and the peace-offerings, and blesses the people in the name of Yahweh of Hosts, ¹⁹ and he apportions to all the people, to all the multitude of Israel, from man even unto woman, to each, one cake of bread, and one eshpar, and one ashisha, and all the people go, each to his house. ²⁰ And David turns back to bless his house, and Michal daughter of Saul goes out to meet David, and said, `How honorable to-day was the king of Israel, who was uncovered to-day before the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain ones is openly uncovered!. <sup>21</sup> And David said unto Michal, `--Before Yahweh, who fixed on me above your father, and above all his house, to appoint me leader over the people of Yahweh, and over Israel, --yea, I played before Yahweh;" ²² and I have been more vile than this, and have been low in mine eyes, and with the handmaids whom you have spoken of, with them I am honored.. ²³ As to Michal daughter of Saul, she had no child till the day of her death.

¹⁹ And he is a priest for the El Supreme. And blessing is he Abram, and is saying, "Blessed is Abram by the El Supreme, Owner of the heavens and the earth.

²⁷ And saying to him is Laban, "If, pray, I find grace in your eyes! I augur that Yahweh's blessing me is due to your coming.

¹⁰ Smaller am I than all the kindnesses and than all the truth which You do to Your servant, for with my stick I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two camps.

²³ Naught is the chief of the round-house prison seeing of all that is in his hand, in that Yahweh is with him, and all that he is doing Yahweh is prospering.

²⁰ Then Miriam, the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the tambourine in her hand, and all the women went forth after her with tambourines and with choruses.

⁶ As for you, you shall become Mine, a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel.

¹⁸ You will make two cherubim of gold; you shall hammer them a stiff shell of one piece with the two ends of the propitiatory shelter. ¹⁹ Make one cherub from this end and one cherub from that end. Of one piece with the propitiatory shelter you shall make the cherubim at its two ends. ²⁰ The cherubim will come to be with spreading wings above, overshadowing with their wings over the propitiatory shelter with their faces each to his fellow. Toward the propitiatory shelter the faces of the cherubim shall come to be. ²¹ Then you will put the propitiatory shelter on the coffer from above; and you shall put the testimony which I shall give to you into the coffer. ²² I will keep appointment with you there, and I will speak with you above the propitiatory shelter from between the two cherubim which are over the coffer of the testimony of all which I am instructing you for the sons of Israel.

⁴³ When Moses saw all the work, behold, they had done it just as Yahweh had instructed; so had they done. And Moses blessed them.

He descended after he had made the sin offering, the ascent offering and the peace offerings. ²³ Now Moses and Aaron went into the tent of appointment; when they came forth, they blessed the people. Then the glory of Yahweh appeared to all the people;"

¹ The sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, each took his fire-pan, put fire in them, placed incense on it and came near before Yahweh with alien fire such as He had not instructed them. ² Hence fire came forth from before Yahweh and devoured them, and they died before Yahweh. ³ Then Moses said to Aaron:That is what Yahweh spoke of, saying:Among those near Me shall I be hallowed, and in the presence of all the people shall I be glorified. Aaron was still;"

¹¹ and the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the name of Yahweh, and he maledicted it. So they brought him to Moses. (Now the name of his mother was Shelomith daughter of Dibri of the stock of Dan.. ¹² They left him under guard until Moses expounded the case for them at the bidding of Yahweh. ¹³ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying. ¹⁴ Bring forth the maledictor outside the camp, and all the hearers will support their hands on his head, and the whole congregation will pelt him with stones. ¹⁵ And to the sons of Israel shall you speak, saying:In case any man maledicts his Elohim, then he will bear his own sin. ¹⁶ The blasphemer of the name of Yahweh shall be put to death, yea death. The whole congregation shall pelt, yea pelt him with stones. The sojourner as well as the native; when he blasphemes the Name, he shall be put to death.

⁵ For Aaron will come in, and his sons, when the camp is to journey, and they will take down the portiere curtain and cover the coffer of the testimony with it. ⁶ They will put on it a cover of azure hide and spread over it a cloth wholly of blue from above and put its poles in place. ⁷ And over the table of the presence they shall spread a blue cloth, and they will put on it the dishes and the spoons, the waste pans and the libation chalices. Also the continual bread shall be on it. ⁸ Then they will spread over them a cloth of double-dipped crimson, and they will cover it with a cover of azure hide and put its poles in place. ⁹ They will take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand of the luminary, its lamps and its snuffers, its fire-pans and all its oil vessels with which they minister to it. ¹⁰ Then they will put it and all its furnishings into a cover of azure hide and put it on the slider bar. ¹¹ Also on the golden altar shall they spread a blue cloth, and they will cover it with a cover of azure hide and put its poles in place. ¹² They will take all the furnishings of the ministry with which they minister in the holy place and wrap them in a blue cloth and cover them with a cover of azure hide and put them on the slider bar.

¹⁵ When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy things with all the furnishings of the holy things when the camp is to journey, then afterward the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it. Yet they shall not touch the holy things lest they die. These are the load of the sons of Kohath in the tent of appointment.

¹⁹ Yet this do for them, and they will live and shall not die when they come close to the holy of holies:Aaron and his sons shall come and will appoint them, each man to his service and to his load. ²⁰ Yet they shall not come in to see the sanctuary in dismantling, for they would die.

⁴ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying. ⁵ Take them from them so that they will come to serve for the service of the tent of appointment, and give them to the Levites, to each man corresponding to his service. ⁶ So Moses took the carts and the oxen and gave them to the Levites. ⁷ Two of the carts and four of the oxen he gave to the sons of Gershon corresponding to their service, ⁸ and four of the carts and eight of the oxen he gave to the sons of Merari, corresponding to their service, by means of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest. ⁹ Yet to the sons of Kohath he gave none, for the carrier service of the holy of holies was on them; on their shoulders they carried it.

¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying. ² Make for yourself two bugles of silver. Out of a stiff shell shall you make them. And they will become yours for the calling of the congregation and for the journeying of the camps. ³ When they blow long on both of them, then the whole congregation will congregate with you at the opening of the tent of appointment. ⁴ Yet should they blow long on just one, then the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, will congregate with you. ⁵ When you blow a short blast then the camps encamping eastward will journey. ⁶ When you blow the second blast then the camps encamping southward will journey. When you blow the third blast then the camps encamping westward will journey. When you blow the fourth blast then the camps encamping northward will journey. Short blasts shall they blow for their decampings; ⁷ yet when the assembly is to assemble you shall blow long and not sound short blasts. ⁸ The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the bugles. And they will be to you as an eonian statute throughout your generations. ⁹ In case you enter a war in your land with the foe who is distressing you then you will blast on the bugles, and you will be remembered before Yahweh your Elohim, and you will be saved from your enemies. ¹⁰ And in the day of your rejoicing, in your appointments and at the beginnings of your months you will blow on bugles over your ascent offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they will be to you for a memorial before your Elohim. I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

¹² The sons of Israel spoke to Moses, saying:Behold, we expire! We perish! All of us perish!" ¹³ Everyone who comes near, yea near to the tabernacle of Yahweh shall die! Should we all come to end by expiring?

⁵ So you will love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your intensity.

³ and command the people, saying, `When you see the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your Elohim, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you journey from your place, and have gone after it;"

⁴ and seven priests do bear seven trumpets of the jubilee before the ark, and on the seventh day you compass the city seven times, and the priests blow with the trumpets, ⁵ and it has been, in the prolongation of the horn of the jubilee, in your hearing the voice of the trumpet, all the people shout--a great shout, and the wall of the city has fallen under it, and the people have gone up, each over-against him..

⁹ and the border has been marked out, from the top of the hill-country unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and has gone out unto the cities of mount Ephron, and the border has been marked out [to] Baalah, (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim);" ¹⁰ and the border has gone round from Baalah westward, unto mount Seir, and passed over unto the side of mount Jearim (it [is] Chesalon), on the north, and gone down [to] Beth-Shemesh, and passed over to Timnah;"

⁶ and her adversity has also provoked her greatly, so as to make her tremble, for Yahweh has shut up her womb. ⁷ And so he does year by year, from the time of her going up into the house of Yahweh, so it provokes her, and she weeps, and does not eat. ⁸ And Elkanah her husband said to her, `Hannah, why weep you? and why do you not eat? and why is your heart afflicted? am I not better to you than ten sons?.

²⁸ even to choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to Me for a priest, to go up on Mine altar, to make a perfume, to bear an ephod before Me, and I give to the house of your father all the fire-offerings of the sons of Israel?

³⁰ `Therefore--the affirmation of Yahweh, Elohim of Israel--I certainly said, Your house and the house of your father, do walk up and down before Me to the eon; and now--the affirmation of Yahweh--Far be it from Me! for he who is honoring Me, I honor, and those despising Me, are lightly esteemed.

³⁵ And Samuel has not added to see Saul till the day of his death, for Samuel mourned for Saul, and Yahweh repented that He had caused Saul to reign over Israel.

¹ And Yahweh said unto Samuel, `Till when are you mourning for Saul, and I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill your horn with oil, and go, I send you unto Jesse the Beth-Lehemite, for I have seen among his sons for Myself a king.

⁶² And the king and all Israel with him are sacrificing a sacrifice before Yahweh; ⁶³ and Solomon sacrifices the sacrifice of peace-offerings, which he has sacrificed to Yahweh, oxen, twenty and two thousand, and sheep, a hundred and twenty thousand; and the king and all the sons of Israel dedicate the house of Yahweh. ⁶⁴ On that day has the king sanctified the middle of the court that [is] before the house of Yahweh, for he has made there the burnt-offering, and the present, and the fat of the peace-offerings; for the altar of brass that [is] before Yahweh [is] too little to contain the burnt-offering, and the present, and the fat of the peace-offerings. ⁶⁵ And Solomon makes, at that time, the festival--and all Israel with him, a great assembly from the entering in of Hamath unto the brook of Egypt--before Yahweh our Elohim, seven days and seven days; fourteen days. ⁶⁶ On the eighth day he has sent the people away, and they bless the king, and go to their tents, rejoicing and glad of heart for all the good that Yahweh has done to David His servant, and to Israel His people.

⁴ but the ark of Elohim had David brought up from Kirjath-Jearim, when David prepared for it, for he stretched out for it a tent in Jerusalem;"

¹⁰ And on the twenty and third day of the seventh month he has sent the people to their tents, rejoicing, and glad in heart, for the goodness that Yahweh has done to David, and to Solomon, and to Israel His people.

¹⁸ for a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, have not been cleansed, but have eaten the passover otherwise than it is written; but Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, `Yahweh, who [is] good, does receive atonement for every on. ¹⁹ who has prepared his heart to seek Elohim--Yahweh, Elohim of his fathers--yet not according to the cleansing of the sanctuary;.

⁷ And Josiah lifts up to the sons of the people a flock of lambs and young goats, the whole for passover-offerings, for every one who is found, to the number of thirty thousand, and oxen three thousand:these [are] from the substance of the king. ⁸ And his heads, for a willing-offering to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites, have lifted up; Hilkiah, and Zechariah, and Jehiel, leaders in the house of Elohim, to the priests have given for passover-offerings two thousand and six hundred, and oxen three hundred;"

¹² and they turn aside the burnt-offering, to put them by the divisions of the house of the fathers of the sons of the people, to bring near to Yahweh, as it is written in the book of Moses--and so to the oxen. ¹³ And they cook the passover with fire, according to the ordinance, and the sanctified things they have cooked in pots, and in kettles, and in pans--for all the sons of the people.

¹⁰ When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Yahweh, then priests clothed in their vestments, with bugles, and Levites (sons of Asaph) with cymbals, took their stand to praise Yahweh according to the acclamation directions of David king of Israel. ¹¹ They responded by praising and acclaiming Yahweh:For He is good, indeed His benignity toward Israel is for the eon. As for all the people, they shouted a loud shout in praising Yahweh because the foundation of the House of Yahweh had been laid.

¹⁰ And he said to them, `Go, eat fat things, and drink sweet things, and sent portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for to-day [is] holy to our Lord, and be not grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength..

⁵ If even the moon does not irradiate, And the stars, they are not pure in His eyes, ⁶ How much less a mortal, that maggot, And a son of humanity, that worm.

⁸ Sons of decadence, even sons of those without a name, They were cut off from the land.

⁴ Behold, I am slight; how can I reply to You? I place my hand upon my mouth.
