¹ And I--in year one of Darius the Mede, my position was to make him steadfast and to strengthen him." ² Now the truth will I tell you. Behold, three kings will yet stand up in Persia; the fourth will be enriched with riches greater than all; as he is steadfast in his riches he will rouse the whole kingdom of Greece." ³ Then stands up a master king, he rules a vast dominion and does as is acceptable to himself." ⁴ While he stands, his kingdom will be broken and divided to the four winds of the heavens, yet not to his kin after him. It will not be as his rule with which he ruled; for plucked up will be his kingdom, even by others besides these." ⁵ Steadfast will be a king of the southland. Due to his chiefs he also will be steadfast over it and rule a vast dominion as his dominion." ⁶ Now at the end of these years they will join:The daughter of the king of the southland will come to the king of the north to make equitable settlements with him. Yet she shall not retain the vigor of the seed, nor shall he stand or his seed. She will be given up--she and those bringing her, also the lady-in-waiting and he who made her steadfast in these eras." ⁷ Yet one stands from the scion of her roots, in his post, and he will come to lead the army. He will come into the stronghold of the king of the north and deal with them and be steadfast." ⁸ Moreover, their Elohim he overturns with their molten images; and their throngs with their coveted furnishings of silver and gold will be bring to Egypt in captivity. Thus he for years will stand over the king of the north;" ⁹ when he comes into the kingdom of the king of the southland he returns to his ground. ¹⁰ Yet his sons shall be stirred up and gather a throng of many armies which comes into the southland, overwhelms it and passes. Yet it shall return and be stirred up unto its strength." ¹¹ Then bitterly embittered shall be the king of the southland; hence he fares forth and fights with him, that is with the king of the north. He also recruits a vast throng, and the throng is given into his hand and borne away is the throng." ¹² High will be his heart when he casts down tens of thousands, yet he will not be strengthened." ¹³ Then the king of the north returns and recruits a throng vaster than the former. Thus at the end of the eras of years shall he come, verily with a great army and much material." ¹⁴ In those eras many hearts shall stand against the king of the southland, the `sons of breaching' of your people will lift themselves up to cause the vision to stand, yet they shall stumble." <sup>15</sup> Then shall come the king of the north and pour out a siege-work and seize city fortresses. Yet the armed forces of the king of the southland shall not stand nor his `chosen people,' for there is no vigor to stand." ¹⁶ He who is coming against it will do as is acceptable to himself, and there is no one standing before him. Thus he will stand in the stately land which is all in his hand." ¹⁷ Then he shall set his face to come with the might of all his kingdom and equitable settlements shall he make with him. Even a wives' daughter shall he give to him to corrupt her, yet she shall not stand, nor for him shall she be." ¹⁸ Then he will turn back his face to the coastline and seize many places. Thus a captain eradicates his reproach for him, avoiding that his reproach shall turn back to him." ¹⁹ Then he shall turn his face to the strongholds of his own land. Yet he is stumbled and falls and will not be found." ²⁰ Then stands in his post out of his root a royal sprout who has an exactor to pass among the honorable of the kingdom. Yet in some days he will be broken, not in anger and not in battle." ²¹ Then stands in his post a despised person; hence they do not bestow on him the splendor of the kingdom. Yet he enters with ease and makes steadfast the kingdom by slick dealings." ²² Now the armed forces of the overwhelmer will be overwhelmed from before him and will be broken, even the governor of the covenant." ²³ Due to people joining themselves with him, he shall do deceitfully; and coming up, he is staunch with a little nation." ²⁴ With ease then among the stout ones of the province will he come. He also does what his fathers did not do, nor his fathers' fathers:Plunder and loot and goods will he lavish on them, and against Egypt is he devising his devices even a further season." ²⁵ Roused shall be his vigor and his heart against the king of the southland with his great army. And the king of the southland shall be stirred up to fight with his great and exceedingly staunch army, yet he shall not stand; for they shall devise devices against him, ²⁶ the eaters of his dainties shall break him, his army shall be overwhelmed and many fall wounded." ²⁷ Then the two kings, with evil in their hearts, will sit at one table. Lies will they speak, which shall not prosper, for it is yet further to the end, to the time appointed." ²⁸ When he is returning to his land with a great amount of goods, his heart is on the holy covenant, and he makes it effective before he returns to his land." ²⁹ At the time appointed he shall return and come into the southland, yet it shall not come to be as the former or as the latter." ³⁰ For there come against him boats of Chittim. Hence he is sore when he returns. He menaces the holy covenant and makes his opposition effective. While he returns, he has an understanding with those who forsake the holy covenant:" ³¹ Armed forces from him shall stand about, they shall violate the sanctuary, the stronghold, take away the continuous ritual, and give it over to the abomination of desolation." ³² And those who condemn the covenant will he pollute with slickness. Yet the people knowing their Elohim will be steadfast and act accordingly. ³³ The intelligent of the people will cause many to understand, yet they are stumbled by the sword and the blaze, by captivity and plunder for days." ³⁴ Even in their stumbling are they helped with a little help, yet obligated to them are many by slick dealings." ³⁵ Some of the intelligent shall stumble, to refine and to purify and to whiten them till the era of the end; for it is yet further to the appointed time." ³⁶ Yet doing is the king as is acceptable to himself:He will exalt and magnify himself over every el, against the El of elim will he speak marvelous things and prosper till the menace is concluded; for that which is decided shall be done." ³⁷ Concerning the Elohim of his forefathers he shall not understand, nor concerning the coveting of wives, nor concerning any eloah shall he understand; for he shall magnify himself over all." ³⁸ Yet the eloah of the strong in his post shall he glorify:An eloah whom his forefathers did not know, he will glorify with gold, silver, precious stones and coveted treasures." ³⁹ He deals for fortresses of the strong with a foreign eloah whom he shall recognize with increasing glory, he shall cause them to rule over many, and the ground shall he apportion for a price." ⁴⁰ Then, in the era of the end, gore him will the king of the southland. As a horrifying hurricane will come on him the king of the north, with chariot and cavalry and many ships. Thus he comes into the lands and overwhelms and passes." ⁴¹ When he comes into the stately land, many will stumble. Yet these are escaping from his hand:Edom and Moab and the adjacent land of the sons of Ammon." ⁴² He will send his hand into the lands, and the land of Egypt will not continue to have deliverance." ⁴³ He rules by reserves of gold and silver and by all he covets from Egypt, the Libyans and the Ethiopians--reserves which are in his fastnesses." ⁴⁴ Yet reports shall fluster him, from the sunrise and from the north, and forth he fares with great fury to exterminate and to doom many." ⁴⁵ He will plant the tents of his regalia between the seas in the stately holy mountain. When he comes unto his end, there is no help for him."

³¹ And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old."

¹ In year one of Darius, son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans,

¹⁸ Then continuing, touching me is one having the appearance of a human. He is encouraging me and saying,

²² establishing the souls of the disciples, besides entreating them to remain in the faith and saying that, "Through many afflictions must we be entering into the kingdom of God."

⁵ They were hiring counselors against them to have their purpose quashed all the days of Cyrus king of Persia and until the reign of Darius king of Persia. ⁶ And during the reign of Xerxes, at the start of his reign, they wrote an accusation against those dwelling in Judah and Jerusalem.

⁶ Wherefore pride is their necklace; Violence is draping about them like a burnoose. ⁷ Their eye protrudes from fat; Vain fancies pass through their heart.

²¹ To cause you to know verity, words of truth, To reply with sayings, truth for those sending you?

⁵ And behold, another animal, a second, like a she-bear; one part is set up, and three ribs are in her mouth between her teeth. Thus are they saying to her, "Rise! Eat huge amounts of flesh."

⁴ I see the ram rushing forth seaward, northward and toward the southland. No animals at all are standing before him, and there is no rescuing from his hand. He does as is acceptable to himself and magnifies himself."

²⁶ And the sight, the evening and the morning, of which this is said, truth is it. Yet you, stop up the vision, for it is for many days."

¹ In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a matter was revealed to Daniel whose name is called Belteshazzar; the matter is true and the host is great; he understood the matter and an understanding has he of the sight.

²⁰ Then he is saying to me, "You know why I come to you? Now I will return to fight with the chief of the king of Persia. While I am faring forth, behold, the chief of Greece comes!" ²¹ (Verily, I am telling you what is signified in the writing of truth.) No one will be steadfast with me in these things save Michael your chief."

²⁵ Roused shall be his vigor and his heart against the king of the southland with his great army. And the king of the southland shall be stirred up to fight with his great and exceedingly staunch army, yet he shall not stand; for they shall devise devices against him,

⁷ For my Lord Yahweh is not doing a thing save He reveals His deliberation to His servants, the prophets."

³⁵ If He said those were gods, to whom the word of God came (and the scripture can not be annulled),

³⁷ Pilate, then, said to Him, "Is it not then so? A king are you!Jesus answered, "You are saying that I am a king. For this also have I been born, and for this have I come into the world, that I should be testifying to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth is hearing My voice." ³⁸ Pilate is saying to Him, "What is truth!And, this saying, again he came out to the Jews, and is saying to them, "I not one fault am finding in him."

⁵ And He Who is sitting on the throne said, "Lo! New am I making all!And He is saying, "Write, for these sayings are faithful and true."

³⁵ All abiding on the earth are reckoned as naught:According to His will is He doing in the army of the heavens and with those abiding on the earth. And no one will actually clap with his hands and say to Him, "What doest Thou?

¹⁹ And from the majesty that He granted to him, all peoples, leagues, and language-groups were stirred and terrified before him. Whom he will he is despatching, and whom he will he is preserving alive; whom he will he exalts, and whom he will he abases."

⁶ In place of this perceiving am I, and behold, another animal, as a leopardess; she has four flyer's wings on her arched back, and four heads has the animal. Jurisdiction is being granted to her."

⁴ I see the ram rushing forth seaward, northward and toward the southland. No animals at all are standing before him, and there is no rescuing from his hand. He does as is acceptable to himself and magnifies himself." ⁵ When I came to consider, behold, a he-goat of the goats is coming from the west over the surface of the entire earth, and there is no touching the earth. The he-goat has a conspicuous horn between his eyes, ⁶ and he is coming unto the ram, the possessor of the two horns (which I see standing before the canal). He is running at him in the fury of his vigor" ⁷ and I see him attaining to the side of the ram. He is bitterly embittered against him and is smiting the ram and breaking his two horns. No vigor remains in the ram to stand before him when he is flinging him to the earth. He is tramping on him and no one comes to rescue the ram from his hand. ⁸ Then the he-goat of the goats magnifies himself unto excess. And as he is staunch, broken is the great horn, and instead of it are coming up four other conspicuous horns to the four winds of the heavens." ⁹ Then from the one of these four fares forth one inferior horn, and he is growing redundantly great to the southland and to the sunrise and to the stately land:" ¹⁰ He is growing great unto the host of the heavens, and cast to the earth is one from the host, and one from the stars who is also tramping on them." ¹¹ Even unto the chief of the host he magnifies himself:Because of him the continuous ritual is disturbed, flung down is all that pertains to the site of His sanctuary, ¹² and the horn is given a host for trespassing against the continuous ritual; thus is he flinging the truth to the earth. And he does this and prospers. ¹³ Now I am hearing one saint speaking. And saying is one other saint to so-and-so, the speaking one, "Till when is the vision of the continuous ritual--the cessation of the sacrifice and the desolating transgression which gives over even the holy place and the host to tramping? ¹⁴ He is answering him, "Till two thousand and three hundred evenings-mornings. Then found just is the holy place."

²¹ The hairy he-goat is the kingdom of Greece. The great horn which is between its eyes, it is the first king."

¹⁶ He who is coming against it will do as is acceptable to himself, and there is no one standing before him. Thus he will stand in the stately land which is all in his hand."

³⁶ Yet doing is the king as is acceptable to himself:He will exalt and magnify himself over every el, against the El of elim will he speak marvelous things and prosper till the menace is concluded; for that which is decided shall be done."

¹¹ in Him in Whom our lot was cast also, being designated beforehand according to the purpose of the One Who is operating all in accord with the counsel of His will,

⁴ God corroborating, both by signs and miracles and by various powerful deeds and partings of holy spirit, according to His will?

¹⁸ By intention, He teems forth us by the word of truth, for us to be some firstfruit of His own creatures."

⁵ That the jubilation of the wicked is brief, And the rejoicing of the polluted lasts but a moment? ⁶ Even if his dignity ascends to the heavens, And his head touches the thick clouds, ⁷ He shall perish permanently like his own ordure; Those having seen him shall say, Where is he?

³⁵ I have seen a wicked one, a terrifier, Elevating himself like a flourishing native tree." ³⁶ Yet I passed by, and behold, he was not there, And I sought him, and he was not found."

⁶ Yea, man walks about, merely an image; Yea, they clamor about in vain He piles up goods but does not know who will be gathering them in."

⁶ Who are trusting in their estate And are boasting in the abundance of their riches? ⁷ Surely it shall not ransom, yea ransom a man; Neither shall one pay to Elohim his sheltering ransom, ⁸ {For the ransom of his soul is too precious a price, And he shuns it for the eon{" ⁹ That he should live further, permanently, And not see the grave." ¹⁰ Yet he sees wise ones, even they die; The stupid one, together with the irrational one, they perish, And they leave their estate to others." ¹¹ Their tombs are their houses for the eon, Their tabernacles for generation after generation, Those who had called their grounds after their names." ¹² But the human, in his self-esteem, is not understanding at all; He is comparable to the beasts that are dumb."

¹⁷ Until I am coming to the Grand Sanctuary of El; Then I am understanding what is in their hereafter. ¹⁸ Surely You shall set them down in slippery places; You will cast them into ruinations. ¹⁹ How they will become a desolation, as in a moment! They will be swept up; they will be finished by decadence!" ²⁰ Like a dream when one is waking, O Yahweh, when rousing, You shall lay waste their phantom."

¹⁸ And I hated all my toil that I was toiling under the sun, That I would leave to the man who shall come after me." ¹⁹ Who knows if he shall be a wise or a frivolous man? Yet he shall have authority over all the fruit of my toil that I toiled, And in which I was wise under the sun; This too is vanity."

⁸ There was one person, but there was no second; There even was no son or brother for him; Also there was no end to all his toil, Yet his eyes were not satisfied with his riches. Then he said, For whom am I toiling And making my soul lack good? This too is vanity, and it is an experience of evil."

¹⁵ And it has been, after My plucking them out, I turn back, and have pitied them, And I have brought them back, Each to his inheritance, and each to his land."

¹⁷ And if they do not hearken, Then I have plucked up that nation, Plucking up and destroying, An affirmation of Yahweh!'"

⁷ The moment I speak concerning a nation, And concerning a kingdom, To pluck up and to break down, and to destroy,

⁴⁰ And all the valley of the carcases and of the ashes, And all the fields unto the brook Kidron, Unto the corner of the horse-gate eastward, [Are] holy to Yahweh, it is not plucked up, Nor is it thrown down any more to the eon!"

⁴ Thus do you say unto him:Thus said Yahweh:Lo, that which I have built I am throwing down, and that which I have planted I am plucking up, even the whole land itself."

² Daniel is responding as follows:Perceiving am I in my vision by night, and behold, four winds of the heavens are rushing forth to the vast sea,

⁸ Contemplating am I the horns, and lo, another bit of a horn comes up among them, and three of the eastern horns are felled to stumps before it. And lo, eyes as the eyes of a mortal are in this horn, and a mouth declaring monstrous things, and it is making war with the saints."

⁸ Then the he-goat of the goats magnifies himself unto excess. And as he is staunch, broken is the great horn, and instead of it are coming up four other conspicuous horns to the four winds of the heavens."

²² When it is being broken, standing up are four in its stead:Four kingdoms from his nation are standing up, yet not with his vigor."

²⁵ Now, having perceived their sentiments, He said to them, "Every kingdom parted against itself is being desolated, and every city or house parted against itself shall not stand."

²⁰ Yet God said to him, 'Imprudent one! In this night your soul are they demanding from you. Now, what you make ready, whose will it be?'"

³ Then stands up a master king, he rules a vast dominion and does as is acceptable to himself." ⁴ While he stands, his kingdom will be broken and divided to the four winds of the heavens, yet not to his kin after him. It will not be as his rule with which he ruled; for plucked up will be his kingdom, even by others besides these."

¹⁵ Then from the wicked their light is withheld And the exalted arm is broken.

⁵ His ways are profane in every season. Your judgments are withdrawn from in front of him; All his foes--he puffs at them.

²¹ The arm of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, I have broken, And lo, it has not been bound up to give healing, To put a bandage to bind it, To strengthen it--to lay hold on the sword."

⁸ After many days you are appointed, In the latter end of the years you come in unto a land brought back from sword, [A people] gathered out of many peoples, Upon mountains of Israel, That have been for a perpetual waste, And it from the peoples has been brought out, And dwelt safely have all of them." ⁹ And you have gone up--as wasting you come in, As a cloud to cover the land are you, You and all your bands, and many peoples with you."

⁷ Yet one stands from the scion of her roots, in his post, and he will come to lead the army. He will come into the stronghold of the king of the north and deal with them and be steadfast."

¹³ Then the king of the north returns and recruits a throng vaster than the former. Thus at the end of the eras of years shall he come, verily with a great army and much material."

The suppressed he will not visit; the roving he will not seek; and the broken he will not heal; that which stands up he will not sustain. Yet the flesh of the plump he will eat, and their hoofs he will break off."

⁷ For there is expectation for a tree:If it is cut down, then it may rejuvenate again, And its young shoots may not be halted.

¹⁰ Yet he sees wise ones, even they die; The stupid one, together with the irrational one, they perish, And they leave their estate to others." ¹¹ Their tombs are their houses for the eon, Their tabernacles for generation after generation, Those who had called their grounds after their names." ¹² But the human, in his self-esteem, is not understanding at all; He is comparable to the beasts that are dumb." ¹³ This is their way, their stupidity, And of those after them, who approve of their mouthings. {Interlude{ "

²³ And You, O Elohim, You shall bring them down to the well of ruin, These mortals of bloodshed and deceit, Who shall not live half their days; As for me, I am trusting in You. {Permanent{ {Concerning the Mute Dove Afar{ "

⁸ May his days come to be few; May his supervision be taken by another.

¹⁴ And Yahweh will cut off from Israel head and tail, frond and rush in one day."

¹ And a Twig shall fare forth from the set slip of Jesse, and a Scion from his roots shall be fruitful."

² You have planted them, yea, they have taken root, They go on, yea, they have made fruit, Near [are] You in their mouth, And far off from their reins."

¹⁸ And he despised the oath--to break covenant, And lo, he has given his hand, And all these he has done, he escapes not."

¹⁹ Then he shall turn his face to the strongholds of his own land. ¹ For behold! The day of Yahweh is coming, consuming as a stove, and it devours them. And all the arrogant and all doing wickedness become straw. And the coming day sets them aflame, says Yahweh of hosts, which will not leave to them root or bough."

³⁰ And now, go, yea, go, for you long longingly for the household of your father. Why have you stolen my elohim?

¹² For I will pass through the land of Egypt in this night and smite every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from human even unto beast, and on all the elohim of Egypt I shall execute judgments; I am Yahweh.

⁴ while the Egyptians were entombing those whom Yahweh had smitten among them, every firstborn, when Yahweh had executed judgments on their elohim.

³ Tear down their altars and break their monuments; their Asherah poles you shall burn with fire, and the carvings of their elohim you shall hack down; thus you will destroy their name from that place.

²⁴ And he said, `My elohims which I made you have taken, and the priest, and you go; and what to me more? and what [is] this you say unto me, What--to you!.

¹⁶ and on all the ships of Tharshish, and on all the displays of coveted boats."

¹⁹ and put their elohim into the fire, for no elohim are they, but rather the make of human hands, wood and stone, and they are destroying them."

¹ Bows Bel! Stoops Nebo! Their grief fetishes have come to be for the animal, and for the beast are your carriers laden. Their announcings are a load for the faint." ² They stoop. They bow together, and cannot escape the load, and their soul goes into captivity."

¹² And I have kindled a fire in the houses of the elohims of Egypt, and it has burned them, and he has taken them captive, and covered himself with the land of Egypt, as cover himself does the shepherd with his garment, and he has gone forth thence in peace;" ¹³ and he has broken the standing pillars of the house of the sun, that [is] in the land of Egypt, and the houses of the elohims of Egypt he does burn with fire.'"

²⁵ Said has Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am seeing after Amon of No, And after Pharaoh, and after Egypt, And after her elohims, and after her kings, And after Pharaoh, and after those trusting in him,

² Yet Yahweh is giving into his hand Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and at the end, the furnishings of the house of Elohim. Then he is bringing them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his Elohim, and the furnishings he brings to the treasure-house of his Elohim." ³ Speaking is the king to Ashpenaz, the grandee of his eunuchs, to bring of the sons of the grandees of Israel, and of the seed royal, and of the highborn;"

³ Bread of coveted qualities I do not eat, flesh and wine did not come into my mouth, with oil did I not rub myself till fulfilled are the three periods of seven days."

⁶ For even this is from Israel; an artificer made it, and no Elohim is it, for backslidings are coming to be by your calf, Samaria."

⁵ The tabernaclers of Samaria will be stirred up for the heifer of Beth-aven, for its people mourn over it, and its dervishes are exulting over it, over its glory, for it is deported from it." ⁶ Moreover, it shall be fetched to Assyria, a present to king Jareb. Ephraim shall take shame, and Israel shall be ashamed because of its counsel."

¹⁵ Seeing that he is parting between his brothers, an east wind shall come. The wind of Yahweh shall come up from the wilderness, and it will dry up his fountain, and it will drain his spring. He shall rob the treasure of every coveted furnishing."

⁷ wherefore, also, behold! My Lord is bringing up over them the waters of the stream, the staunch and the vast--the king of Assyria and all his glory. And up it goes over all its channels, and goes over all its banks." ⁸ And it passes on into Judah, overflows and passes till it will touch the neck. And its outstretched wings come to fill the width of your land. Emmanu-El."

¹² and the impregnable fortress of your walls He prostrates. He lays it low. It attains to the earth, unto the soil."

⁷ Who is this? as a flood he comes up, As rivers do his waters shake themselves!" ⁸ Egypt, as a flood comes up, And as rivers the waters shake themselves. And he said, I go up; I cover the land, I destroy the city and the inhabitants in it."

⁴² Come up against Babylon has the sea, With a multitude of its billows it has been covered."

²⁶ After the sixty-two sevens, Messiah will be cut off, and there is no adjudication for Him. The city and the holy place shall be laid in ruins with the other governor's coming; then its end is by an overflow, and till the end of the war desolations will be decided."

²² Now the armed forces of the overwhelmer will be overwhelmed from before him and will be broken, even the governor of the covenant."

²⁶ the eaters of his dainties shall break him, his army shall be overwhelmed and many fall wounded."

³⁹ He deals for fortresses of the strong with a foreign eloah whom he shall recognize with increasing glory, he shall cause them to rule over many, and the ground shall he apportion for a price." ⁴⁰ Then, in the era of the end, gore him will the king of the southland. As a horrifying hurricane will come on him the king of the north, with chariot and cavalry and many ships. Thus he comes into the lands and overwhelms and passes."

¹³ And lo, a certain prophet has come nigh unto Ahab king of Israel, and said, `Thus said Yahweh, `Have you seen all this great multitude? lo, I am giving it into your hand to-day, and you have known that I [am] Yahweh..

²⁸ And there comes nigh a man of Elohim, and speaks unto the king of Israel, and said, `Thus said Yahweh, Because that the Arameans have said, Elohim of hills [is] Yahweh, and He [is] not Elohim of valleys--I have given the whole of this great multitude into your hand, and you have known that I [am] Yahweh..

¹⁶ The king is not saved by a great army; A master is not rescued by great vigor; ¹⁷ The horse is a false hope for salvation, And by its vast valor it cannot provide escape."

¹⁰ For the fury of humanity, it is acclaiming You; The remainder of the fury shall celebrate to You."

¹¹ Again I saw under the sun That the race is not to the fleet, Nor the battle to valiant masters, Nor even bread for the wise, Nor even riches for the understanding, Nor even favor for the knowing, For season and mischance shall happen to them all." ¹² For, moreover, a man does not know his season; Like fish that are held in a vicious weir, And like birds that are held in a snare, So the sons of humanity themselves are trapped by a season of evil, When it falls on them suddenly."

⁶ `And now, I--I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and also the beast of the field I have given to him to serve him;"

³⁸ In every place where the sons of mortals are abiding, the animal of the field, the flyer of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, He grants into your hand. He gives you authority over them all. You are the head that is gold."

⁷ and I see him attaining to the side of the ram. He is bitterly embittered against him and is smiting the ram and breaking his two horns. No vigor remains in the ram to stand before him when he is flinging him to the earth. He is tramping on him and no one comes to rescue the ram from his hand.

⁵ Steadfast will be a king of the southland. Due to his chiefs he also will be steadfast over it and rule a vast dominion as his dominion."

⁹ when he comes into the kingdom of the king of the southland he returns to his ground. ¹⁰ Yet his sons shall be stirred up and gather a throng of many armies which comes into the southland, overwhelms it and passes. Yet it shall return and be stirred up unto its strength."

⁴⁴ Yet reports shall fluster him, from the sunrise and from the north, and forth he fares with great fury to exterminate and to doom many."

¹⁴ then your heart becomes exalted and you forget Yahweh your Elohim Who was bringing you forth from the country of Egypt, from the house of servants,

¹⁰ You have certainly smitten Edom, and your heart has lifted you up; be honored, and abide in your house; and why do you stir yourself up in evil, that you have fallen, you, and Judah with you?.

¹⁹ You have said, Lo, I have smitten Edom; and your heart has lifted you up to boast; now, abide in your house, why do you stir yourself up in evil, that you have fallen, you, and Judah with you?.

¹⁶ And at his being strong his heart has been high unto destruction, and he trespasses against Yahweh his Elohim, and goes in unto the temple of Yahweh to make perfume upon the altar of perfume.

²⁵ and Hezekiah has not returned according to the deed [done] unto him, for his heart has been lofty, and there is wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem;"

¹⁸ Pride goes before a breaking, And a haughty spirit before a stumbling."

⁷ Yet he, not so is he planning, and his heart, not so is devising, for to exterminate is in his heart, and to cut off nations not a few." ⁸ For saying is he, "Are not my chiefs altogether kings? ⁹ Is not, as Carchemish, Calno? Should not, as Arphad, be Hamath? Should not, as Damascus, be Samaria? ¹⁰ As my hand found all the kingdoms of the forbidden idols, and their carvings, more than Jerusalem's and than Samaria's, ¹¹ shall I not, as I did to Samaria and to her forbidden idols, so do to Jerusalem and to her grief fetishes? ¹² Yet it comes, when Yahweh will clip off all His doings in mount Zion and in Jerusalem, I will visit evil on the fruit of the insolent heart of the king of Assyria, and the high beauty of his eyes."

² `Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because your heart has been high, And you do say:A el I [am], The habitation of Elohim I have inhabited, In the heart of the seas, And you [are] man, and not El, And you give out your heart as the heart of Elohim,

⁵ By the abundance of your wisdom, Through your merchandise, You have multiplied your wealth, And high is your heart through your wealth."

¹⁷ High has been your heart, because of your beauty, You have corrupted your wisdom because of your brightness, On the earth I have cast you, Before kings I have set you, to look on you,

¹⁹ And from the majesty that He granted to him, all peoples, leagues, and language-groups were stirred and terrified before him. Whom he will he is despatching, and whom he will he is preserving alive; whom he will he exalts, and whom he will he abases." ²⁰ Yet when his heart was exalted and his spirit was mightily arrogant, he was deposed from the throne of his kingdom and they caused his esteem to pass away from him:"

²³ Over the Lord, the Eloah of the heavens, you exalt yourself; the vessels of His house they bring hither before you; you and your grandees, your consorts and your concubines are drinking turbid wine from them. Also elohim of silver, gold, copper, iron, wood, and stone who are not perceiving and not hearing and not knowing, these you laud, yet the Eloah in Whose hand is your breath, and for Whom are all your paths, Him you do not honor."

²⁵ By his intelligence he causes deceit to prosper in his hand. In his heart he is magnifying himself, and with ease will he ruin many. Against the Chief of chiefs will he stand, yet at the limit of his hand he shall be broken."

⁴ Behold! it is made presumptuous:his soul is not upright in him. Yet the just one by his faith shall live. ⁵ And, indeed, seeing that the wine is treacherous; the master is ostentatious, and he is not resting, who widens his soul as the unseen, and he is as death and is not satisfied. And he is gathering to him all the nations, and he is convening to him all the peoples." ⁶ Shall not these, all of them, take up a proverb against him, and mocking problems for him? And they will say:Woe to the one increasing what is not his! Till when? And to him making heavy his yoke with security!"

²² Now the populace retorted, "A god's voice, and not a man's!" ²³ Now instantly a messenger of the Lord smites him, because he gives not the glory to God, and, becoming the food of worms, he gives up his soul."

⁶ no novice, lest, being conceited, he should be falling into the judgment of the Adversary."

⁵ Likewise, younger men may be subject to the elder, yet all wear the servile apron of humility with one another, for God "is resisting the proud, yet is giving grace to the humble."

¹⁶ His heart shall alter from a mortal's:The heart of an animal shall be granted to him;

⁶ Now at the end of these years they will join:The daughter of the king of the southland will come to the king of the north to make equitable settlements with him. Yet she shall not retain the vigor of the seed, nor shall he stand or his seed. She will be given up--she and those bringing her, also the lady-in-waiting and he who made her steadfast in these eras." ⁷ Yet one stands from the scion of her roots, in his post, and he will come to lead the army. He will come into the stronghold of the king of the north and deal with them and be steadfast."

⁷ I am hearing the man clothed in linen who is above the waters of the waterway, "Till the era of the end.Then he is holding high his right and his left hands to the heavens and is swearing by Him Who is living for the eon, that it is for an appointed time, two appointed times and half an appointed time. And as is concluded the shattering of the hand of the holy people, concluding are all these things."

²⁵ Who through holy spirit, by the mouth of our father, Thy boy David, art saying, 'Why are the nations perturbed? And why do the peoples mumble empty phrases? ²⁶ Standing by are the kings of the land, And the chancellors gathered in the same place, Against the Lord and against His Christ.'" ²⁷ For of a truth, in this city were gathered against Thy holy Boy Jesus, Whom Thou dost anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, together with the nations and the peoples of Israel, ²⁸ to do whatever Thy hand and Thy counsel designates beforehand to occur.

¹⁷ for God imparts to their hearts to form His opinion, and to form one opinion, and to give their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God shall be accomplished."

⁵ `No man does station himself before you all days of your life; as I have been with Moses, I am with you, I do not fail you, nor forsake you;"

³⁰ There is no wisdom, there is no comprehension, And there is no counsel in confronting Yahweh." ³¹ A horse is prepared for the day of battle, Yet the victory belongs to Yahweh."

¹⁰ Go you up on her walls, and destroy, And a completion make not, Turn aside her branches, for they [are] not Yahweh's,

⁶ For thus said Yahweh of Hosts:Cut down her wood, And pour out against Jerusalem a mount, She [is] the city to be inspected, Wholly--she is oppression in her midst."

⁴ For thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, that are broken down for the mounts, and for the tool;"

⁴ And it comes to pass, in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, come has Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon--he and all his force--against Jerusalem, and they encamp against it, and build against it a fortification round about;"

² and have placed against it a siege, and builded against it a fortification, and poured out against it a mount, and placed against it camps, yea, set you against it battering-rams round about."

¹⁷ And not with a great force, and with a numerous assembly, Does Pharaoh maintain him in battle, By pouring out a mount, and in building a fortification, To cut off many souls."

⁶ Now at the end of these years they will join:The daughter of the king of the southland will come to the king of the north to make equitable settlements with him. Yet she shall not retain the vigor of the seed, nor shall he stand or his seed. She will be given up--she and those bringing her, also the lady-in-waiting and he who made her steadfast in these eras."

⁸ And it passes on into Judah, overflows and passes till it will touch the neck. And its outstretched wings come to fill the width of your land. Emmanu-El."

¹⁹ And I have said, How do I put you among the sons, And give to you a desirable land, A beauteous inheritance of the hosts of nations, And I say, My father--you do call to Me, And from after Me you do not turn back."

⁹ Then from the one of these four fares forth one inferior horn, and he is growing redundantly great to the southland and to the sunrise and to the stately land:"

³ Then stands up a master king, he rules a vast dominion and does as is acceptable to himself."

⁴¹ When he comes into the stately land, many will stumble. Yet these are escaping from his hand:Edom and Moab and the adjacent land of the sons of Ammon."

⁴⁵ He will plant the tents of his regalia between the seas in the stately holy mountain. When he comes unto his end, there is no help for him."

¹⁷ Then go up does Hazael king of Aram, and fights against Gath, and captures it, and Hazael sets his face to go up against Jerusalem;"

³ And Jehoshaphat fears, and sets his face to seek to Yahweh, and proclaims a fast over all Judah;"

⁹ Then my enemies shall turn away in the day I call out; This I know:that Elohim is for me.

²¹ Many are the designs in a man's heart, Yet the counsel of Yahweh, it shall stand firm."

³ And you, take to you an iron pan, and you have made it a wall of iron between you and the city; and you have prepared your face against it, and it has been in a siege, yea, you have laid siege against it. A sign it [is] to the house of Israel."

⁷ `And unto the siege of Jerusalem you do prepare your face, and your arm [is] uncovered, and you have prophesied concerning it."

² `Son of man, set your face unto the sons of Ammon, and prophesy against them;"

¹⁹ Then he shall turn his face to the strongholds of his own land. Yet he is stumbled and falls and will not be found."

³⁰ He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who is not gathering with Me is scattering."

⁵¹ Now it occurred in the fulfillment of the days of His taking up, He fixes His face steadfastly to go to Jerusalem."

²³ He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who is not gathering with Me is scattering."

³¹ What then, shall we declare to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

⁴ And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tharshish, Kittim and Rodanim. ⁵ From these are parted the coastlanders of the nations among their lands, each man to his tongue, to their families, in their nations.

⁷ and Adoni-Bezek said, `Seventy kings--their thumbs and their great toes cut off--have been gathering under my table; as I have done so has Elohim repaid to me;' and they bring him in to Jerusalem, and he dies there.

¹⁹ And I place among them a sign, and I send, from those delivered, to the nations, to Tharshish and Pul and Lud and Meshech and Quesheth, Tubal and Javan, and the coastlands afar, who have not heard of My fame, nor have seen My glory. And they tell of My glory, among the nations."

¹⁰ For, pass to the isles of Chittim, and see, And to Kedar send, and consider well, And see if there has been like this:"

¹⁰ Hear a word of Yahweh, O nations, And declare you among isles afar off, and say:He who is scattering Israel does gather him, And has kept him as a shepherd [does] his flock,

⁶ Of oaks of Bashan they made your oars, Your bench they have made of ivory, A branch of Ashurim from isles of Chittim."

¹⁴ Ephraim vexes Him most bitterly, and He shall leave his blood sheds on him, and his reproach his Lord will recompense to him."

¹¹ Yahweh will be fearful against them, for He will make all the elohim of the earth lean; and all the coastlands of the nations, each man from his place, shall worship Him."

² for with what judgment you are judging, shall you be judged, and with what measure you are measuring, shall it be measured to you."

⁸ He shall fly away like a dream, and they shall not find him, For he shall be bolted away like a vision of the night.

² When evildoers drew near against me To devour my flesh, They who were to me my foes and my enemies, They stumbled and fell."

³⁶ Yet I passed by, and behold, he was not there, And I sought him, and he was not found."

⁶ The swift do not flee, nor do the mighty escape, Northward, by the side of the river Phrat, They have stumbled and fallen."

²¹ Wastes I do make you, and you are not, And you are sought, and are not found any more--to the eon, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

² And this is the term of the release:every possessor is to release the loan of his hand that he lent to his associate. He shall not exact it from his associate or his brother, for Yahweh's release has been proclaimed. ³ From the foreigner you may exact it. Yet that which you came to have from your brother, let your hand release it;"

³⁵ And the silver and the gold has Jehoiakim given to Pharaoh; only he valued the land to give the silver by the command of Pharaoh; from each, according to his valuation, he exacted the silver and the gold, from the people of the land, to give to Pharaoh-Nechoh.

³³ For as the squeezing of milk brings forth clotted cream, And the squeezing of the nose brings forth blood, So the squeezing of anger brings forth contention."

¹⁷ Instead of the copper, I will bring gold, and instead of iron, I will bring silver, and instead of wood, copper, and instead of stones, iron. And I constitute your supervisor, welfare, and your exactors, righteousness."

²¹ Then stands in his post a despised person; hence they do not bestow on him the splendor of the kingdom. Yet he enters with ease and makes steadfast the kingdom by slick dealings."

¹ and Abimelech son of Jerubbaal goes to Shechem, unto his mother's brethren, and speaks unto them, and unto all the family of the house of his mother's father, saying, ² `Speak, I pray you, in the ears of all the masters of Shechem, Which [is] good for you--the ruling over you of seventy men (all the sons of Jerubbaal), or the ruling over you of one man? --and you have remembered that I [am] your bone and your flesh.. <sup>3</sup> And his mother's brethren speak concerning him, in the ears of all the masters of Shechem, all these words, and their heart inclines after Abimelech, for they said, `He [is] our brother;. ⁴ and they give to him seventy silverings out of the house of Baal-Berith, and Abimelech hires with them men, vain and unstable, and they go after him;" ⁵ and he goes into the house of his father at Ophrah, and slays his brethren, sons of Jerubbaal, seventy men, on one stone; and Jotham, youngest son of Jerubbaal, is left, for he was hidden. ⁶ And all the masters of Shechem are gathered together, and all the house of Millo, and come and cause Abimelech to reign for king at the oak of the camp which [is] in Shechem;" ⁷ and they declare [it] to Jotham, and he goes and stands on the top of mount Gerizim, and lifts up his voice, and calls, and said to them, `Hearken unto me, O masters of Shechem, and Elohim does hearken unto you. <sup>8</sup> `The trees have diligently gone to anoint over them a king, and they say to the olive, Reign you over us. ⁹ And the olive said to them, Have I ceased from my fatness, by which they honor elohims and men, that I have gone to stagger over the trees? ¹⁰ And the trees say to the fig, Come you, reign over us. ¹¹ And the fig said to them, Have I ceased from my sweetness, and my good increase, that I have gone to stagger over the trees? ¹² `And the trees say to the vine, Come you, reign over us. <sup>13</sup> And the vine said to them, Have I ceased from my new wine, which is rejoicing elohims and men, that I have gone to stagger over the trees? <sup>14</sup> And all the trees say unto the bramble, Come you, reign over us. <sup>15</sup> And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth you are anointing me for king over you, come, take refuge in my shadow; and if not--fire comes out from the bramble, and devours the cedars of Lebanon. <sup>16</sup> `And, now, if in truth and in sincerity you have acted, when you make Abimelech king; and if you have done good with Jerubbaal, and with his house; and if according to the deed of his hands you have done to him-. ¹⁷ because my father has fought for you, and does cast away his life from [him], and deliver you from the hand of Midian;" ¹⁸ and you have risen against the house of my father to-day, and slay his sons, seventy men, on one stone, and cause Abimelech son of his handmaid to reign over the masters of Shechem, because he [is] your brother-. ¹⁹ yea, if in truth and in sincerity you have acted with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, rejoice you in Abimelech, and he does rejoice--even he--in you;" ²⁰ and if not--fire comes out from Abimelech and devours the masters of Shechem and the house of Millo, and fire comes out from the masters of Shechem and from the house of Millo, and devours Abimelech..

¹³ and I have declared to him that I am judging his house--to the eon, for the iniquity which he has known, for his sons are making themselves vile, and he has not restrained them,

² and Absalom has risen early, and stood by the side of the way of the gate, and it comes to pass, every man who has a pleading to come unto the king for judgment, that Absalom calls unto him, and said, `Of what city [are] you?' and he said, `Of one of the tribes of Israel [is] your servant.. ³ And Absalom said unto him, `See, your matters [are] good and straightforward--and there is none hearkening to you from the king.. <sup>4</sup> And Absalom said, `Who does make me a judge in the land, that unto me does come every man who has a plea and judgment? --then I have declared him righteous.. ⁵ And it has come to pass, in the drawing nearing of any one to bow himself to him, that he has put forth his hand, and laid hold on him, and given a kiss to him;" ⁶ and Absalom does according to this thing to all Israel who come in for judgment unto the king, and Absalom steals the heart of the men of Israel.

⁸ The wicked walk round about, As the squanderings of the sons of humanity are exalted. {Permanent{ "

⁴ Despised in his eyes is the reprobate, Yet he glorifies those fearing Yahweh. He has sworn to his associate and shall not change."

²¹ Words from his mouth are slicker than clotted cream, Yet an attack is planned in his heart; His words are more soothing than oil, Yet they are unloosed swords!"

⁵ And no longer shall the decadent be called a patron, nor to a miser shall be said, "saviour."

²³ And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgression comes to an end, standing up is a king of strong presence and understanding problems."

²⁰ Then stands in his post out of his root a royal sprout who has an exactor to pass among the honorable of the kingdom. Yet in some days he will be broken, not in anger and not in battle."

³² And those who condemn the covenant will he pollute with slickness. Yet the people knowing their Elohim will be steadfast and act accordingly.

³⁴ Even in their stumbling are they helped with a little help, yet obligated to them are many by slick dealings."

¹⁴ And Yahweh instructs concerning you:No longer shall your name be perpetuated. From the house of your elohim will I cut off carving and molten image. I will set up your tomb, for you are slight."

¹⁰ He is growing great unto the host of the heavens, and cast to the earth is one from the host, and one from the stars who is also tramping on them." ¹¹ Even unto the chief of the host he magnifies himself:Because of him the continuous ritual is disturbed, flung down is all that pertains to the site of His sanctuary,

¹⁰ Yet his sons shall be stirred up and gather a throng of many armies which comes into the southland, overwhelms it and passes. Yet it shall return and be stirred up unto its strength."

⁸ Over this, shall not the land be disturbed? And everyone dwelling in it mourn? And it will ascend as a waterway, all of it, and it will be driven out and will be drowned as the waterway of Egypt."

⁵ And the Lord, Yahweh Elohim of hosts, is He Who is touching the land and it is dissolving. And all dwelling in it mourn. And it ascends as a waterway, all of it, and it drowns as the waterway of Egypt."

⁸ And with a passing overflow He will make a finish of her place, and His enemies will He pursue into darkness."

¹⁵ And the serpent casts water as a river out of its mouth after the woman, that she should be carried away by its current." ¹⁶ And the earth helps the woman, and the earth opens its mouth and swallowed the river which the dragon casts out of its mouth."

¹³ And answering are the sons of Jacob to Shechem and Hamor, his father, with deceit. And speaking are they to those who had defiled Dinah, their sister.

² Your tongue devises woes, Like a honed razor, you who practice deceit."

¹⁸ The wicked one makes false wages, Yet he who sows righteousness reaps faithful hire."

¹³ And he takes of the seed of the kingdom, And makes with him a covenant, And brings him in to an oath, And the mighty of the land he has taken, ¹⁴ That the kingdom may be humble, That it may not lift itself up, To keep his covenant--that it may stand." ¹⁵ And he rebels against him, To send his messengers to Egypt, To give to him horses, and much people, Does he prosper? does he escape who is doing these things? And has he broken covenant and escaped? ¹⁶ I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Does he not--in the place of the king who is causing him to reign, Whose oath he has despised, And whose covenant he has broken, With him--in the midst of Babylon--die? ¹⁷ And not with a great force, and with a numerous assembly, Does Pharaoh maintain him in battle, By pouring out a mount, and in building a fortification, To cut off many souls." ¹⁸ And he despised the oath--to break covenant, And lo, he has given his hand, And all these he has done, he escapes not." ¹⁹ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:I live--Mine oath that he has despised, And My covenant that he has broken, Have I not put it on his head?

²⁹ filled with all injustice, wickedness, evil, greed, distended with envy, murder, strife, guile, depravity, whisperers,

³ Yet I fear lest somehow, as the serpent deludes Eve by its craftiness, your apprehensions should be corrupted from the singleness and pureness which is in Christ. "

⁹ whose presence is in accord with the operation of Satan, with all power and signs and false miracles"

⁴ and they give to him seventy silverings out of the house of Baal-Berith, and Abimelech hires with them men, vain and unstable, and they go after him;"

²⁵ And they capture fenced cities, and fat ground, and possess houses full of all good, digged-wells, vineyards, and olive-yards, and fruit-trees in abundance, and they eat, and are satisfied, and become fat, and delight themselves in Your great goodness.

⁸ A bribe is like a stone for favor in the eyes of its grand possessor; Wherever it is present it proceeds effectively.

⁶ Many beseech a patron to his face, And everyone is the associate of a man with gifts."

⁷ For as one who calculates within his soul, so is he; Eat and drink, he says to you, Yet his heart is by no means with you."

¹⁰ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:And it has come to pass in that day, Come up do things on your heart, And you have thought an evil thought,

²⁵ declarations to set aside the Supreme will he declare; to the saints of the supremacies will he bring decay; he is meaning to alter stated times and an edict; and they shall be granted into his hand unto a season and two seasons and the distribution of a season.

⁴ And Jesus, perceiving their sentiments, said, "Why are you brooding wickedness in your hearts?

¹⁸ A venomous man stirs up quarrels, Yet one slow to anger quietens a contention."

²⁵ A pretentious soul stirs up a quarrel, Yet he who trusts in Yahweh shall be conferred with richness."

² Now the truth will I tell you. Behold, three kings will yet stand up in Persia; the fourth will be enriched with riches greater than all; as he is steadfast in his riches he will rouse the whole kingdom of Greece."

² And two men, heads of troops, have been [to] the son of Saul, the name of the one [is] Baanah, and the name of the second Rechab, sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, of the sons of Benjamin, for also Beeroth is reckoned to Benjamin, ³ and the Beerothites flee to Gittaim, and are there sojourners unto this day. ⁴ And to Jonathan son of Saul [is] a son--lame; he was a son of five years at the coming in of the rumor of [the death of] Saul and Jonathan, out of Jezreel, and his nurse lifts him up, and flees, and it comes to pass in her hasting to flee, that he falls, and becomes lame, and his name [is] Mephibosheth. ⁵ And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, go, and come in at the heat of the day unto the house of Ish-Bosheth, and he is lying down--the lying down of noon;" ⁶ and thither they have come, unto the midst of the house, taking wheat, and they smite him unto the fifth [rib], and Rechab and Baanah his brother have escaped;" ⁷ yea, they come in to the house, and he is lying on his bed, in the inner part of his bed-chamber, and they smite him, and put him to death, and turn aside his head, and they take his head, and go the way of the plain all the night, ⁸ and bring in the head of Ish-Bosheth unto David in Hebron, and say unto the king, `Lo, the head of Ish-Bosheth, son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life; and Yahweh does give to my lord the king vengeance this day, of Saul and of his seed.. <sup>9</sup> And David answers Rechab and Baanah his brother, sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, `Yahweh lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity, ¹⁰ when one is declaring to me, saying, Lo, Saul is dead, and he was as a bearer of tidings in his own eyes, then I take hold on him, and slay him in Ziklag, instead of my giving to him [for] the tidings. ¹¹ Also--when wicked men have slain the righteous man in his own house, on his bed; and now, do not I require his blood of your hand, and have taken you away from the earth?. ¹² And David commands the young men, and they slay them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hang [them] over the pool in Hebron, and the head of Ish-Bosheth they have taken, and bury [it] in the burying-place of Abner in Hebron.

¹⁴ And he goes from Elisha, and comes in unto his lord, and he said unto him, `What said Elisha to you?' and he said, `He said to me, You do certainly recover..

⁶ And he writes unto them a letter a second time, saying, `If you [are] for me, and to my voice are hearkening, take the heads of the men--the sons of your lord, and come unto me about this time to-morrow, to Jezreel;' and the sons of the king [are] seventy men, with the great ones of the city those bringing them up. <sup>7</sup> And it comes to pass, at the coming in of the letter unto them, that they take the sons of the king, and slaughter seventy men, and put their heads in baskets, and send unto him to Jezreel, <sup>8</sup> and the messenger comes in, and declares to him, saying, `They have brought in the heads of the sons of the king,' and he said, `Make them two heaps at the opening of the gate till the morning.. <sup>9</sup> And it comes to pass in the morning, that he goes out, and stands, and said unto all the people, `Righteous are you; lo, I have conspired against my lord, and slay him--and who smote all these?

⁹ Even the man bidding me peace, in whom I trusted, Who was eating my bread, has magnified his heel against me."

⁵ You must not believe in an associate. You must not trust in a mentor. From her who is lying in your bosom, keep the portals of your mouth, ⁶ for the son is disgracing the father, the daughter is rising against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her husband's mother. The enemies of a man are all the mortals of his house."

²³ Now He, answering, said, "He who dips his hand with Me in the dish, he will be giving Me up."

²⁰ Now He, answering, said to them, "It is one of the twelve who is dipping his hand into the dish with Me,

¹⁸ Not concerning all of you am I speaking, for I am aware whom I choose, but that the scripture may be fulfilled, 'He who is masticating bread with Me lifts up his heel against Me.'"

²⁶ And Absalom said, `If not--let, I pray you, Amnon my brother go with us;' and the king said to him, `Why does he go with you?.

² They speak hypocrisy, each one with his associate; With a lip of slick words, with a double-minded heart they speak.

¹ {Contemplating, Davidic{ {When Doeg the Edomite came to tell Saul, saying to him, David has come to the house of Ahimelech.{ Why are you boasting in evil, O masterful man? Only the benignity of El lasts the entire day."

² Indeed, in heart you are contriving iniquity; With your hands you are meting out violence on earth."

⁹ Common sons of Adam are only a transitory breath, Noted sons of man a lie; If brought up on the scales, They are less than a transitory breath altogether."

⁶ They are searching into iniquity, Saying, We will finish a thorough search. The inward thought of each and the heart are deep."

²⁰ Deceit is in the heart of those engrossed with evil, Yet rejoicing is for those who counsel peace."

⁶ Do not dine on the bread of one having a stingy eye, And do not yearn for his tasties, ⁷ For as one who calculates within his soul, so is he; Eat and drink, he says to you, Yet his heart is by no means with you." ⁸ Your morsel you have eaten, you shall vomit it up, And ruin your pleasant words."

²³ Silver dross overlaying earthenware, Such are slick lips when the heart is evil."

³ And they bend their tongue, their bow [is] a lie, And not for stedfastness have they been mighty in the land, For from evil unto evil they have gone forth, And Me they have not known, An affirmation of Yahweh!" ⁴ Each of his friend--beware you, And on any brother, do not trust, For every brother does utterly supplant, For every friend slanderously does walk, ⁵ And each at his friend they mock, And truth they do not speak, They taught their tongue to speak falsehood, To commit iniquity they have labored."

¹ And it comes to pass, in the seventh month, come has Ishmael son of Nethaniah, son of Elishama, of the seed royal, and of the chiefs of the king, and ten men with him, unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, to Mizpah, and they eat there bread together in Mizpah." ² And Ishmael son of Nethaniah rises, and the ten men who have been with him, and they smite Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, with the sword, and he puts him to death whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the land." ³ And all the Jews who have been with him, with Gedaliah, in Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who have been found there--the men of war--has Ishmael smitten."

⁹ Say:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:It prospers--its roots does he not draw out, And its fruit cut off, and it is withered? [In] all the leaves of its springing it withers, And not by great strength, and by a numerous people, To lift it up by its roots."

¹⁹ Then he is saying, "Behold me acquainting you with what is coming in the last of the menace to the sons of your people, seeing that it is for the appointed time of the end."

²⁹ At the time appointed he shall return and come into the southland, yet it shall not come to be as the former or as the latter."

³⁵ Some of the intelligent shall stumble, to refine and to purify and to whiten them till the era of the end; for it is yet further to the appointed time."

³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time; and it will bud at the end, and will not lie dormant. If it be dallying, tarry for it, for it will surely come, and it will not delay."

⁷ Yet He said to them, "Not yours is it to know times or eras which the Father placed in His own jurisdiction."

³¹ forasmuch as He assigns a day in which He is about to be judging the inhabited earth in righteousness by the Man Whom He specifies, tendering faith to all, raising Him from among the dead - "

¹ Now concerning the times and the eras, brethren, you have no need to be written to,

²⁴ Staunch is his vigor, yet not by his own vigor. Marvelously shall he ruin and prosper and deal. Thus he ruins the staunch and the people of the saints."

³⁰ For there come against him boats of Chittim. Hence he is sore when he returns. He menaces the holy covenant and makes his opposition effective. While he returns, he has an understanding with those who forsake the holy covenant:" ³¹ Armed forces from him shall stand about, they shall violate the sanctuary, the stronghold, take away the continuous ritual, and give it over to the abomination of desolation." ³² And those who condemn the covenant will he pollute with slickness. Yet the people knowing their Elohim will be steadfast and act accordingly.

²⁵ You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God covenanted with your fathers, saying to Abraham: And in your seed all the kindreds of the earth shall be blessed."

³¹ Howl, O gate! Cry out, O city! Dissolved is Philistia! All of you, for smoke comes from the north. And no one shall be solitary in his appointed places."

²³ Due to people joining themselves with him, he shall do deceitfully; and coming up, he is staunch with a little nation."

²⁶ Besides, He makes out of one every nation of mankind, to be dwelling on all the surface of the earth, specifying the setting of the seasons and the bounds of their dwelling, for them to be seeking God, if, consequently,

² but is under guardians and administrators until the time purposed by the father.

⁴ And the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tharshish, Kittim and Rodanim.

²⁴ And those going forth from the hand of Kittim will humiliate Assyria and humiliate Eber. Yet he, too, will come unto perishing.

⁷ And sons of Javan:Elisha, and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.

¹² And I discern, and lo, Elohim has not sent him, for in the prophecy he has spoken unto me both Tobiah and Sanballat hired him,

¹ LOAD OF TYRE Howl! Ships of Tharshish. For it is devastated of house and entry. They come no longer from the land of Kittim. A deportation has arrived also to them.

¹² And saying is He, "No longer shall you continue to be joyous, extorted virgin daughter of Sidon. To Kittim! Arise! Pass! Even there, there is no stopping for you."

²⁸ When he is returning to his land with a great amount of goods, his heart is on the holy covenant, and he makes it effective before he returns to his land."

¹⁰ And then many shall be snared, and they shall be giving one another up and hating one another."

¹² Therefore, make merry, ye heavens, and those tabernacling in them! Woe to the land and the sea, for the Adversary descended to you having great fury, being aware that brief is the season that he has."

¹⁰ The foe has spread out his hand over all her coveted things; Indeed she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary, Concerning whom You had instructed that they should not enter Your assembly."

⁷ Yahweh has cast off His altar; He has disowned His sanctuary; He has surrendered the walls of her citadels into the hand of the enemy. They have raised their voice in the House of Yahweh as on the day of an appointed festival.

²⁰ As to the beauty of his ornament, For excellency He set it, And the images of their abominations, Their detestable things--they made in it, Therefore I have given it to them for impurity, ²¹ And I have given it into the hand of the strangers for a prey, And to the wicked of the land for a spoil, And they have polluted it."

⁷ And they begin among the aged men who [are] before the house, and He said unto them, `Defile the house, and fill the courts with the wounded, go forth.' And they have gone forth and have smitten in the city."

²¹ Say to the house of Israel:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I am polluting My sanctuary, The excellency of your strength, The desire of your eyes, and the pitied of your soul, And your sons and your daughters whom you have left, by sword they do fall." ²² And you have done as I have done, On the upper lip you are not covered, And bread of men you do not eat."

¹¹ Even unto the chief of the host he magnifies himself:Because of him the continuous ritual is disturbed, flung down is all that pertains to the site of His sanctuary, ¹² and the horn is given a host for trespassing against the continuous ritual; thus is he flinging the truth to the earth. And he does this and prospers. ¹³ Now I am hearing one saint speaking. And saying is one other saint to so-and-so, the speaking one, "Till when is the vision of the continuous ritual--the cessation of the sacrifice and the desolating transgression which gives over even the holy place and the host to tramping?

²⁷ Then he will be master of a covenant with many for one seven:At half of the seven, he will cause to cease the sacrifice and the approach present; on a wing of the sanctuary shall be desolating abominations. Till the conclusion of the era the decided conclusion will be poured forth on the desolation."

¹¹ From the era when the continuous ritual is taken away, and to the setting of the abomination of desolation, is a thousand two hundred and ninety days."

¹⁵ Whenever, then, you may be perceiving the abomination of desolation, which is declared through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let him who is reading apprehend!);"

¹⁴ Now whenever you may be perceiving the abomination of desolation, declared by Daniel the prophet, standing where it must not (let the reader apprehend), then let those in Judea flee into the mountains."

²⁰ Now whenever you may be perceiving Jerusalem surrounded by encampments, then know that her desolation is near."

⁴⁰ Beware then, that that which has been declared in the prophets may not be coming on you:" ⁴¹ Perceive, you despisers, and marvel, and disappear! for a work am I working in your days - a work which you should by no means be believing if anyone should be detailing it to you."

¹² And the ten horns which you perceived are ten kings who obtained no kingdom as yet, but are obtaining authority as kings one hour with the wild beast."

⁹ `And you, Solomon, my son, know the Elohim of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart, and with a willing mind, for all hearts is Yahweh seeking, and every imagination of the thoughts He is understanding; if you do seek Him, He is found of you, and if you do forsake Him, He casts you off for ever.

¹⁰ So those knowing Your Name shall trust in You, For You do not forsake those seeking after You, O Yahweh.

⁵ A false witness shall not be held innocent, And he who breathes out lies shall not escape."

²⁸ A false tongue hates those crushed by it, And a slick mouth works degradation."

³⁴ And they do not teach any more Each his neighbor, and each his brother, Saying, Know you Yahweh, For they all know Me, from their least unto their greatest, An affirmation of Yahweh; For I pardon their iniquity, And of their sin I make mention no more."

⁷ And the remnant of Jacob shall come to be among the nations, within many peoples, as the night mist from Yahweh, and as a shower on herbage, which is not expected by man, nor is awaited by the sons of humanity." ⁸ And the remnant of Jacob shall come to be among the nations, within many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the wildwood, and as a sheltered lion among the droves of the flock, which, if it passes, then it tramps, and it tears to pieces, and there is no rescue." ⁹ Your hand shall be high over your foes, and all your enemies shall be cut off."

¹⁵ As the days of your faring forth from the land of Egypt, will I show marvels to them." ¹⁶ The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their mastery. They will place a hand on the mouth. Their ears will be deaf. ¹⁷ They will lick up soil as a serpent. As skulkers of the earth shall they be disturbed from their borders. Of Yahweh, our Elohim, shall they be afraid, and they shall fear because of You."

¹³ For I bend Judah for Myself; I fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will brandish your sons, O Zion, over your sons, O Javan, and make you as the sword of a master." ¹⁴ Then Yahweh shall appear over them, and His arrow shall fare forth as a flash. And my Lord Yahweh shall blow with a trumpet, and He goes with tempests of the south." ¹⁵ Yahweh of hosts shall protect them, and they devour, and they subdue the sling-stones; and they drink; they clamor as from wine; and they are full as a sprinkling bowl, as the garners of the altar." ¹⁶ And Yahweh, their Elohim, will save them in that day, as the flock of His people; for they shall be the stones of sequestration, themselves a banner waving over His ground."

³ Against the shepherds My anger is hot, and on the he-goats will I visit evil, for Yahweh of hosts shall note His drove, the house of Judah, and will make them as His splendid horse in the battle." ⁴ From him is the cornerstone, from Him is the peg, from Him is the battle bow, from Him shall every exactor fare forth together." ⁵ And they shall become as masters, trampling in the mud of the streets, in the battle, and they shall fight, for Yahweh is with them, and the riders of horses shall be ashamed." ⁶ And I will give mastery to the house of Judah, and the house of Joseph will I save. And I will cause them to dwell, for I have compassion on them, and they shall come to be as if I had not cast them off; for I am Yahweh their Elohim, and I will respond to them."

¹² And I will give them mastery in Yahweh, their Elohim, and in His name shall they walk, (averring is Yahweh)."

³ And it shall come to be in that day, I will make Jerusalem a stone, a lading for all the peoples; all laden with it shall be sorely lacerated, and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered against it." ⁴ In that day, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), I will smite every horse with amazement, and his rider with madness. Yet over the house of Judah will I unclose My eyes, and every horse of the peoples will I smite with blindness." ⁵ And the mentors of Judah will say in their heart, Resoluteness is with me! The dwellers of Jerusalem are in Yahweh of hosts, their Elohim." ⁶ In that day I will make the mentors of Judah as a chafing pan of fire among sticks, and as a torch of fire in a sheaf, and they devour all the peoples round about, on the right and on the left. Jerusalem shall still dwell under herself, in Jerusalem." ⁷ And Yahweh will save the tents of Judah as at first, that the beauty of the house of David, and the beauty of the dwellers of Jerusalem may not be magnified over Judah."

¹ Behold a day coming for Yahweh, and your loot shall be apportioned within you." ² Yet I will gather all nations to Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be seized, and the houses are rifled, and the women ravished. And half the city shall fare forth into deportation. Yet the rest of My people shall not be cut off from the city." ³ Then Yahweh shall fare forth and fight against those nations, as the day He fought in the day of attack." ⁴ And His feet shall stand in that day on the mount of Olives, which is adjoining Jerusalem on the east. And the mount of Olives is rent in half; toward sunrise and seaward is a very great ravine, and half of the mountain removes northward, and half of it toward the south rim."

² Yet the Sun of righteousness shall radiate to you who fear My name, and healing is in its wings. And you shall come forth, and you prance as calves of the stall."

³ Now it is eonian life that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Him Whom Thou dost commission, Jesus Christ."

³ Now, if our evangel is covered, also, it is covered in those who are perishing, ⁴ in whom the god of this eon blinds the apprehensions of the unbelieving so that the illumination of the evangel of the glory of Christ, Who is the Image of the invisible God, does not irradiate them." ⁵ For we are not heralding ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, yet ourselves your slaves because of Jesus, ⁶ for the God Who says that, out of darkness light shall be shining, is He Who shines in our hearts, with a view to the illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

⁹ whose presence is in accord with the operation of Satan, with all power and signs and false miracles" ¹⁰ and with every seduction of injustice among those who are perishing, because they do not receive the love of the truth for their salvation." ¹¹ And therefore God will be sending them an operation of deception, for them to believe the falsehood, ¹² that all may be judged who do not believe the truth, but delight in injustice."

¹ You, then, child of mine, be invigorated by the grace which is in Christ Jesus." ² And what things you hear from me through many witnesses, these commit to faithful men, who shall be competent to teach others also." ³ Suffer evil with me, as an ideal soldier of Christ Jesus."

³² Now recollect the former days in which, being enlightened, you endure a vast competition of sufferings, ³³ in this, indeed, being a gazing stock both of reproaches and afflictions, yet in this, becoming participants of those behaving thus."

³ And in this we know that we know Him, if we should be keeping His precepts." ⁴ He who is saying that "I know Himand is not keeping His precepts, is a liar, and the truth of God is not in this one."

²⁰ Yet we are aware that the Son of God is arriving, and has given us a comprehension, that we know the True One, and we are in the True One, in His Son, Jesus Christ. This One is the true God and life eonian."

¹¹ And to each of them was given a white robe, and it was declared to them that they should be resting still a little time, till their number should be completed by their fellow slaves also, and their brethren, who are about to be killed even as they were."

⁹ After these things I perceived, and lo! a vast throng which no one was able to number, out of every nation and out of the tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lambkin, clothed in white robes and with palm fronds in their hands." ¹⁰ And they are crying with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation be our God's, Who is sitting on the throne, And the Lambkin's!"

⁷ And a battle occurred in heaven. Michael and his messengers battle with the dragon, and the dragon battles, and its messengers." ⁸ And they are not strong enough for him, neither was their place still found in heaven." ⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the ancient serpent called Adversary and Satan, who is deceiving the whole inhabited earth. It was cast into the earth, and its messengers were cast with it." ¹⁰ And I hear a loud voice in heaven saying, "Just now came the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, for the accuser of our brethren was cast out, who was accusing them before our God day and night." ¹¹ And they conquer him through the blood of the Lambkin, and through the word of their testimony, and they love not their soul, until death."

¹² And it is exercising all the authority of the first wild beast in its sight, and making the earth and those dwelling in it to be worshiping the first wild beast, whose death blow was cured." ¹³ And it is doing great signs, that it may be making fire, also, descend out of heaven into the earth in the sight of mankind." ¹⁴ And it is deceiving those dwelling on the earth because of the signs which were given it to do in the sight of the wild beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the wild beast which has the blow of the sword and lives." ¹⁵ And it was given to it to give spirit to the image of the wild beast, that the image of the wild beast should be speaking also, and should be causing that whosoever should not be worshiping the image of the wild beast may be killed."

³ And the eyes of the seers shall not squint, and the ears of the hearers shall be attentive, ⁴ and the heart of the hasty shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall hasten to speak elegancies."

³ The intelligent shall warn as the warning of the atmosphere, and those justifying many are as the stars for the eon and further." ⁴ Now you Daniel, stop up the words and seal the scroll till the era of the end, when many will swerve as evil will increase."

¹⁰ Many will purify and whiten themselves and be refined; yet the wicked will be wicked. None of all the wicked shall understand; yet the intelligent are understanding.

²⁰ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:Still it shall be that many peoples shall come, and the dwellers of many cities." ²¹ And the dwellers of five cities shall go to another city, saying, We are going assuredly to beseech the face of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of hosts; I am going, moreover." ²² And many peoples and staunch nations will come to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem, and to beseech the face of Yahweh." ²³ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:In those days ten mortals, from all the languages of the nations, will take fast hold. And they will take fast hold of the hem of a man, a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we hear that Elohim is with you."

⁷ For the lips of a priest shall keep knowledge, and the law shall they seek from his mouth, for the messenger of Yahweh of hosts is he."

²¹ Now brother shall be giving up brother to death, and father, child, and children shall be rising up against parents, and shall be putting them to death."

¹¹ Now, answering, He said to them that "To you has it been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, yet to those it has not been given."

⁵¹ Do you understand all these things?They are saying to Him, "Yes." ⁵² Now He said to them, "Therefore every scribe made a disciple in the kingdom of the heavens is like a man, a householder, who is extracting out of his treasure things new and old."

²³ He is saying to them, "My cup, indeed, you shall be drinking. Yet to be seated at My right and at My left is not Mine to give, but is for whom it has been made ready by My Father."

⁹ Then shall they be giving you up to affliction, and they shall be killing you, and you shall be hated by all of the nations because of My name."

²⁰ teaching them to be keeping all, whatever I direct you. And lo! I am with you all the days till the conclusion of the eon! Amen!"

⁴⁴ Now He said to them, "These are My words, which I speak to you, still being with you, for all must be fulfilled that is written in the law of Moses and the prophets and psalms concerning Me." ⁴⁵ Then He opens up their mind to understand the scriptures, ⁴⁶ and said to them that "Thus it is written, and thus must the Christ be suffering and rise from among the dead the third day, ⁴⁷ and there is to be heralded in His name repentance for the pardon of sins, to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem."

² for they will be putting you out of the synagogues; but coming is the hour that everyone who is killing you should suppose he is offering divine service to God.

² being exasperated because of their teaching the people and announcing in Jesus the resurrection from among the dead. ³ And they laid hands on them, and they were placed in custody for the morrow, for it was already dusk." ⁴ Now many of those who hear the word, believe, and the number of men became about five thousand."

²⁶ and finding him, he led him to Antioch. Now it came that they are gathered a whole year, also, in the ecclesia, and teach a considerable throng. Besides, in Antioch first, the disciples are styled "Christians."

² Now he assassinated James, the brother of John, with the sword." ³ Now perceiving that it is pleasing to the Jews, he proceeded to apprehend Peter also (now they were the days of unleavened bread),

²¹ Evangelizing that city besides, and making a considerable number of disciples, they return into Lystra and into Iconium and into Antioch,

⁹ For I suppose that God demonstrates with us, the last apostles, as death-doomed, for we became a theater to the world and to messengers and to men."

¹² For which cause I am suffering these things also, but I am not ashamed, for I am aware Whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard what is committed to me, for that day."

²⁴ Now a slave of the Lord must not be fighting, but be gentle toward all, apt to teach, bearing with evil, ²⁵ with meekness training those who are antagonizing, seeing whether God may be giving them repentance to come into a realization of the truth,

⁶ For I am already a libation, and the period of my dissolution is imminent."

³⁴ quench the power of fire, fled from the edge of the sword, were invigorated from infirmity, became strong in battle, rout the camps of aliens,

³⁶ Yet others got a trial of scoffings and scourgings, yet still more of bonds and jail." ³⁷ They are stoned, they are sawn, they are tried, they died, murdered by the sword; they wandered about in sheepskins, in goatskins, in want, afflicted, maltreated" ³⁸ (of whom the world was not worthy), straying in wildernesses and mountains and caves and the holes of the earth."

⁹ I, John, your brother and joint participant in the affliction and kingdom and endurance in Jesus Christ, came to be in the island called Patmos, because of the word of God, and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ."

¹³ '"I am aware where you are dwelling-where the throne of Satan is-and you are holding My name, and do not disown My faith in the days in which Antipas, My faithful witness, was killed among you, where Satan is dwelling."

⁹ And when It opens the fifth seal, I perceived underneath the altar the souls of those who have been slain because of the word of God and because of the testimony which they had."

¹⁴ And I have declared to him: "My lord, you are aware.And he said to me, "These are those coming out of the great affliction. And they rinse their robes, and they whiten them in the blood of the Lambkin."

⁷ And to it was given to do battle with the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and people and language and nation. ⁸ And all who are dwelling on the earth will be worshiping it, everyone whose name is not written in the scroll of life of the Lambkin slain from the disruption of the world." ⁹ If anyone has an ear, let him hear." ¹⁰ If anyone is for captivity, into captivity he is going. If anyone will be killing with the sword, he must with the sword be killed. Here is the endurance and faith of the saints."

⁶ And I perceive the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And I marvel at perceiving her. The marvel is great!"

¹⁵ Take heed of those false prophets who are coming to you in the apparel of sheep, yet inside they are rapacious wolves."

²⁹ Now I am aware that, after I am out of reach, burdensome wolves will be entering among you, not sparing the flocklet." ³⁰ And from among yourselves will arise men, speaking perverse things to pull away disciples after themselves."

¹⁸ for such for our Lord Christ are not slaving, but for their own bowels, and through compliments and adulation are deluding the hearts of the innocent."

¹³ For such are false apostles, fraudulent workers, being transfigured into apostles of Christ. " ¹⁴ And no marvel, for Satan himself is being transfigured into a messenger of light. " ¹⁵ It is no great thing, then, if his servants also are being transfigured as dispensers of righteousness - whose consummation shall be according to their acts. "

⁴ Yet, it was because of the false brethren who were smuggled in, who came in by the way to spy out our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, that they shall be enslaving us- "

¹ Now the spirit is saying explicitly, that in subsequent eras some will be withdrawing from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and the teachings of demons, ² in the hypocrisy of false expressions, their own conscience having been cauterized;"

¹ Now this know, that in the last days perilous periods will be present, ² for men will be selfish, fond of money, ostentatious, proud, calumniators, stubborn to parents, ungrateful, malign, ³ without natural affection, implacable, adversaries, uncontrollable, fierce, averse to the good, ⁴ traitors, rash, conceited, fond of their own gratification rather than fond of God;" ⁵ having a form of devoutness, yet denying its power." ⁶ These, also, shun. For of these are those who are slipping into homes and are leading into captivity little women, heaped with sins, being led by various lusts and gratifications, ⁷ always learning and yet not at any time able to come into a realization of the truth.

³ For the era will be when they will not tolerate sound teaching, but, their hearing being tickled, they will heap up for themselves teachers in accord with their own desires, "

¹¹ who must be gagged, who are subverting whole households, teaching what they must not, on behalf of sordid gain."

¹ Yet there came to be false prophets also among the people, as among you also there will be false teachers who will be smuggling in destructive sects, even disowning the Owner Who buys them, bringing on themselves swift destruction." ² And many will be following out their wantonness, because of whom the glory of the truth will be calumniated, ³ and in greed, with suave words, they will traffic in you, whose judgment of old is not idling, and their destruction is not nodding."

¹⁸ For, uttering pompous vanity, they are luring by the lusts of the flesh, in wantonness, those who are scarcely fleeing from those who are behaving with deception;" ¹⁹ promising them freedom, they are inherently slaves of corruption; for by whom anyone is discomfited, to this one he has been enslaved also."

¹⁸ Little children, it is the last hour, and, according as you hear that the antichrist is coming, now also there have come to be many antichrists, whence we know that it is the last hour." ¹⁹ Out of us they come, but they were not of us, for if they were of us, they would have remained with us. But it was that they may be manifested that they are not all of us. "

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see if they are of God, for many false prophets have come out into the world."

⁵ They are of the world; therefore they are speaking of the world, and the world is hearing them."

⁷ for many deceivers came out into the world, who are not avowing Jesus Christ coming in flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist."

⁴ For some men slip in who long ago have been written beforehand for this judgment; irreverent, bartering the grace of our God for wantonness, and disowning our only Owner and Lord, Jesus Christ."

²⁰ But I have much against you, seeing that you pardon that woman of yours, Jezebel, who says that she is a prophetess, and is teaching and deceiving My slaves so as to commit prostitution and to be eating idol sacrifices."

² And being pregnant, she is crying, travailing and tormented to be bringing forth." ³ And seen was another sign in heaven, and lo! a great fiery-red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads seven diadems." ⁴ And its tail is dragging a third of the stars of heaven, and casts them into the earth. And the dragon stands before the woman who is about to be bringing forth, that it may be devouring her child whenever she may be bringing forth" ⁵ And she brought forth a son, a male, who is about to be shepherding all the nations with an iron club. And her child is snatched away to God and to His throne." ⁶ And the woman fled into the wilderness, there where she has a place made ready by God, that there they may be nourishing her a thousand two hundred sixty days."

¹³ And when the dragon perceived that it was cast into the earth, it persecutes the woman who brought forth the male."

¹¹ And I perceived another wild beast ascending out of the land, and it had two horns like a lambkin's, and it spoke as a dragon." ¹² And it is exercising all the authority of the first wild beast in its sight, and making the earth and those dwelling in it to be worshiping the first wild beast, whose death blow was cured." ¹³ And it is doing great signs, that it may be making fire, also, descend out of heaven into the earth in the sight of mankind." ¹⁴ And it is deceiving those dwelling on the earth because of the signs which were given it to do in the sight of the wild beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the wild beast which has the blow of the sword and lives."

² And remember all the way which Yahweh your Elohim caused you to go these forty years in the wilderness, that He might make you humble, to probe you so as to know what is in your heart, whether or not you shall observe His instructions. ³ So He made you humble and let you hunger; then He fed you with the manna which neither you had known, nor had your fathers known, that He might make you realize that not on bread alone shall the human live, for by every utterance from the mouth of Yahweh shall the human live.

¹⁶ Who was feeding you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers had not known, that He might make you humble and that He might probe you, to do you good in your latter days.

³¹ and so with the ambassadors of the heads of Babylon, those sending unto him to inquire of the wonder that has been in the land, Elohim has left him to try him, to know all in his heart,

³ The smelter for silver and the crucible for gold, Yet Yahweh is testing hearts."

¹⁰ He is growing great unto the host of the heavens, and cast to the earth is one from the host, and one from the stars who is also tramping on them."

¹⁷ Then he is coming to stand beside me. At his coming I am frightened and falling on my face. And he is saying to me, "Understand, son of humanity, that for the era of the end is the vision."

²⁷ Then he will be master of a covenant with many for one seven:At half of the seven, he will cause to cease the sacrifice and the approach present; on a wing of the sanctuary shall be desolating abominations. Till the conclusion of the era the decided conclusion will be poured forth on the desolation."

²⁷ Then the two kings, with evil in their hearts, will sit at one table. Lies will they speak, which shall not prosper, for it is yet further to the end, to the time appointed."

³³ The intelligent of the people will cause many to understand, yet they are stumbled by the sword and the blaze, by captivity and plunder for days."

⁴ Now you Daniel, stop up the words and seal the scroll till the era of the end, when many will swerve as evil will increase."

¹⁰ Many will purify and whiten themselves and be refined; yet the wicked will be wicked. None of all the wicked shall understand; yet the intelligent are understanding. ¹¹ From the era when the continuous ritual is taken away, and to the setting of the abomination of desolation, is a thousand two hundred and ninety days."

⁹ And I will bring the third into the fire. And I will refine them as silver is refined. And I will test them as gold is tested. It shall call in My name, and I will answer it. I will say, My people is it. And it will say, Yahweh is my Elohim."

² Yet who will endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is coming like a refiner's fire, and as launderers' soap." ³ And he shall sit as a refiner and cleanser of silver and gold. And he shall cleanse the sons of Levi, and cupel them as gold and as silver. And they shall come to be for Yahweh, bringing close the approach present in righteousness." ⁴ Then the approach present of Judah and Jerusalem is congenial to Yahweh, as in the days of the eon, and as in former years."

¹ For behold! The day of Yahweh is coming, consuming as a stove, and it devours them. And all the arrogant and all doing wickedness become straw. And the coming day sets them aflame, says Yahweh of hosts, which will not leave to them root or bough." ² Yet the Sun of righteousness shall radiate to you who fear My name, and healing is in its wings. And you shall come forth, and you prance as calves of the stall." ³ And you shall tread down the wicked, for they are becoming ashes under the soles of your feet in the day which I am making, says Yahweh of hosts."

¹⁷ Now, answering, Jesus said to him, "Happy are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood does not reveal it to you, but My Father Who is in the heavens."

⁵⁶ Now the whole of this has occurred that the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled.Then all His disciples, leaving Him, fled."

⁶⁹ Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And one maid came to him, saying, "You also were with Jesus, the Galilean." ⁷⁰ Yet he disowns Him in front of them all, saying, "Not aware am I what you are saying!" ⁷¹ Now, at his coming out into the portal, another one perceived him, and she is saying to them there, "He also was with Jesus, the Nazarene." ⁷² And again he disowns with an oath, saying that "I am not acquainted with the man!" ⁷³ Now, after a little, those standing there, approaching, said to Peter, "Truly you also are of them, for your speech also is making you evident." ⁷⁴ Then he begins to be damning and swearing, saying that "I am not acquainted with the man!" ⁷⁵ And immediately a cock crows. And Peter is reminded of the declaration of Jesus in which He had declared to him that "Ere a cock may crow, thrice will you be renouncing Me.And, coming outside, he laments bitterly."

² Every branch in Me bringing forth no fruit, He is taking it away, and every one bringing forth fruit, He is cleansing it, that it may be bringing forth more fruit."

²⁵ The other disciples, then, said to him, "We have seen the Lord!Yet he said to them, "Should I not perceive in His hands the print of the nails, and thrust my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will by no means be believing."

¹³ Now setting out from Paphos, those about Paul came to Perga of Pamphylia. Yet John, departing from them, returns to Jerusalem."

³⁷ to see how they are faring.Now Barnabas intended to take along with them John also, who is called Mark." ³⁸ Yet Paul counted the man who withdraws from them from Pamphylia and comes not with them to the work - this man not worthy to take along. ³⁹ Now they become so incensed as to recoil from one another. Besides, Barnabas, taking Mark along, sails off to Cyprus."

² All joy deem it, my brethren, whenever you should be falling into various trials,

⁶ in which you are exulting; briefly at present, if it must be, being sorrowed by various trials, ⁷ that the testing of your faith, much more precious than gold which is perishing, yet, being tested by fire, may be found for applause and glory and honor at the unveiling of Jesus Christ,

¹⁰ Fear nothing that you are about to be suffering. Lo! the Adversary is about to be casting some of you into jail that you may be tried, and you will be having affliction ten days. Become faithful until death, and I shall be giving you the wreath of life."

¹⁵ And another messenger came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him Who is sitting on the cloud, "Send in Thy sickle and reap! for the hour came to reap, for the harvest of the earth is dried."

¹⁷ For Yahweh your Elohim, He is the Elohim of elohim and the Lord of lords, the El, the great, the masterful and the fear-inspiring One, Who neither lifts up faces in partiality nor takes a bribe,

²² `The El of elohims--Yahweh, the El of elohims--Yahweh, He is knowing, and Israel, he does know, if in rebellion, and if in trespass against Yahweh (You do not save us this day!.

¹³ Yet He is One, and who can turn Him back? What His soul has yearned for He shall do. ¹⁴ For He shall accomplish what is marked out for me, And many other plans are with Him like these.

¹⁰ Yahweh, He annuls the intrigue of the nations; He repudiates the devices of the peoples."

² Give acclamation to the Elohim of elohim, For His benignity is eonian;"

²⁵ For still a little bit and the menace will be concluded, and My anger over their strategy."

¹³ Yet you, you said in your heart, "To the heavens will I ascend! Above the stars of El will I raise high my throne, and I will sit in the mount of appointment, in the flanks of the north."

²⁰ Go, my people! Come into your chambers, and close your doors about you. Hide for a little moment, till the menace shall pass."

¹⁰ Telling from the beginning, the hereafter, and from aforetime, what has not yet been done. Saying, `All My counsel shall be confirmed, and all My desire will I do.'"

⁴⁷ Answering is the king to Daniel and saying, "In verity, your Eloah, He is the Eloah of elohim, Lord of kings, and only Revealer of hidden secrets, seeing that you can reveal this secret."

²⁰ and concerning the ten horns that are on her head; and concerning another horn that comes up and the three before it fall, even the same horn with its eyes and a mouth declaring monstrous things, and the vision of it is larger than its partners." ²¹ Perceiving am I and the same horn is making an attack on the saints and is prevailing against them, ²² till the Transferrer of Days arrives, and adjudication is granted to the saints of the supremacies, and the stated time is reached, and the kingdom is safeguarded by the saints." ²³ So he speaks again to me, "The fourth animal--it is the fourth kingdom being on the earth, that is diverse from all three kingdoms. She will devour the entire earth and thresh it and pulverize it." ²⁴ The ten horns--from her kingdom are ten kings who will rise, and another one will rise after them. He is diverse from the eastern:Three kings will he abase;" ²⁵ declarations to set aside the Supreme will he declare; to the saints of the supremacies will he bring decay; he is meaning to alter stated times and an edict; and they shall be granted into his hand unto a season and two seasons and the distribution of a season.

¹¹ Even unto the chief of the host he magnifies himself:Because of him the continuous ritual is disturbed, flung down is all that pertains to the site of His sanctuary, ¹² and the horn is given a host for trespassing against the continuous ritual; thus is he flinging the truth to the earth. And he does this and prospers.

²⁴ Staunch is his vigor, yet not by his own vigor. Marvelously shall he ruin and prosper and deal. Thus he ruins the staunch and the people of the saints." ²⁵ By his intelligence he causes deceit to prosper in his hand. In his heart he is magnifying himself, and with ease will he ruin many. Against the Chief of chiefs will he stand, yet at the limit of his hand he shall be broken."

²⁶ After the sixty-two sevens, Messiah will be cut off, and there is no adjudication for Him. The city and the holy place shall be laid in ruins with the other governor's coming; then its end is by an overflow, and till the end of the war desolations will be decided." ²⁷ Then he will be master of a covenant with many for one seven:At half of the seven, he will cause to cease the sacrifice and the approach present; on a wing of the sanctuary shall be desolating abominations. ¹¹ From the era when the continuous ritual is taken away, and to the setting of the abomination of desolation, is a thousand two hundred and ninety days." ¹² Happy is he who will tarry and attain to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days! ¹³ Now you, go on to the end, and you shall rest and stand up for your lot at the end of the days."

³⁰ I can not do anything of Myself. According as I am hearing am I judging; and My judging is just, for I am not seeking My will, but the will of Him Who sends Me."

³⁸ for I have descended from heaven, not that I should be doing My will, but the will of Him Who sends Me."

²⁸ to do whatever Thy hand and Thy counsel designates beforehand to occur.

⁴ who is opposing and lifting himself up over everyone termed a god or an object of veneration, so that he is seated in the temple of God, demonstrating that he himself is God?

⁷ but in the days of the seventh messenger's voice, whenever he may be about to be trumpeting, the secret of God is consummated also, as He evangelizes to His own slaves and the prophets."

² And the court outside of the temple cast outside, and you should not be measuring it, for it was given to the nations, and the holy city will they be treading forty-two months." ³ And I will be endowing My two witnesses and they will be prophesying a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."

¹⁴ And given to the woman were the two wings of a large vulture, that she may be flying into the wilderness into her place, there where she is nourished a season, and seasons, and half a season, from the face of the serpent."

⁵ And to it was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies. And to it was given authority to do what it wills forty-two months. ⁶ And it opens its mouth in blasphemies toward God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, and those tabernacling in heaven."

³ And he carries me away, in spirit, into a wilderness. And I perceived a woman sitting on a scarlet wild beast replete with names of blasphemy, and having seven heads and ten horns."

⁵ for the Elohim knows that, in the day you eat of it, unclosed shall be your eyes, and you become as the Elohim, knowing good and evil.

¹⁶ And to the woman He says, "Multiplying, yea, multiplying am I your grief and the groaning of your pregnancy. In grief shall you bear sons. "Yet by your husband is your restoration, and he shall rule over you.

²¹ You shall not covet the wife of your associate. You shall not lust after the house of your associate, his field, his servant or his maidservant, his bull, his donkey or anything which is your associate's.

¹¹ and you see among the captives a woman of lovely shape and are attached to her and take her to yourself as a wife,

¹⁰ I am my darling's, And his impulse is toward me."

¹⁶ `Son of man, lo, I am taking from you the desire of your eyes by a stroke, and you do not mourn, nor weep, nor let your tear come."

³ forbidding to marry, abstaining from foods, which God creates to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who believe and realize the truth,

⁹ Formers of carvings, all of them are a chaos. And makers of their coveted idols shall fail to benefit. And their witnesses they will fail to see and fail to know, that they may be ashamed,

¹ And one from among the seven messengers who have the seven bowls came, and he speaks with me, saying, "Hither! I shall be showing you the sentence of the great prostitute who is sitting on many waters, ² with whom the kings of the earth commit prostitution, and those dwelling on the earth are made drunk with the wine of her prostitution." ³ And he carries me away, in spirit, into a wilderness. And I perceived a woman sitting on a scarlet wild beast replete with names of blasphemy, and having seven heads and ten horns." ⁴ And the woman was clothed with purple and scarlet, and gilded with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand, brimming with abominations and the uncleannesses of the prostitution of her and the earth." ⁵ And on her forehead is written a name: Secret Babylon the Great the mother of the prostitutes and the abominations of the earth.

¹² a cargo of gold, and of silver, and of precious stones, and of pearls; and of cambric, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet; including also every kind of citron wood; and every ivory utensil, and every utensil of most valuable wood and of copper and of iron and of marble;"

⁹ And the kings of the earth, who commit prostitution and indulge with her, will be lamenting and grieving over her whenever they may be observing the smoke of her conflagration, ¹⁰ standing afar off because of the fear of her torment, saying, 'Woe! Woe! that great city! Babylon, the strong city! for in one hour your judging came.'" ¹¹ And the merchants of the earth are lamenting and mourning over her, for no one is buying their cargo any longer:" ¹² a cargo of gold, and of silver, and of precious stones, and of pearls; and of cambric, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet; including also every kind of citron wood; and every ivory utensil, and every utensil of most valuable wood and of copper and of iron and of marble;" ¹³ including also cinnamon, and ginger, and incenses, and attar, and frankincense; and wine, and oil, and flour, and grain; and beasts, and sheep, and made up of horses, and of coaches, and of bodies, including also human souls."

²⁸ whose arrows are whetted, and all their bows are bent. The hoofs of his horses as rock are reckoned, and his chariot wheels as a sweeping whirlwind."

¹ LOAD OF THE WILDERNESSES As sweeping whirlwinds in the south rim pass on, from the wilderness coming, from a fearful land,

¹⁵ For, behold! Yahweh shall come with fire! And as a sweeping whirlwind are His chariots, to return with fury, His anger, and His rebuke in blazes of fire."

¹³ Lo, as clouds he comes up, And as a hurricane his chariots, Lighter than eagles have been his horses, Woe to us, for we have been spoiled."

⁴ And I have turned you back, And I have put hooks in your jaws, And have brought you out, and all your force, Horses and horsemen, Clothed in perfection all of them, A numerous assembly, [with] buckler and shield, Handling swords--all of them."

¹⁴ Therefore, prophesy, son of man, and you have said to Gog:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:In that day, in the dwelling of My people Israel safely, Do you not know? ¹⁵ And you have come in out of your place, From the sides of the north, You and many peoples with you, Riding on horses--all of them, A great assembly, and a numerous force." ¹⁶ And you have come up against My people Israel, As a cloud to cover the land, In the latter end of the days it is, And I have brought you in against My land, In order that the nations may know Me, In My being sanctified in you before their eyes, O Gog." ¹⁷ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Are you he of whom I spoke in former days, By the hand of My servants, prophets of Israel, Who are prophesying in those days--years, To bring you in against them? ¹⁸ And it has come to pass, in that day, In the day of the coming in of Gog against the land of Israel, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Come up does My fury in My face,

⁵ Steadfast will be a king of the southland. Due to his chiefs he also will be steadfast over it and rule a vast dominion as his dominion." ⁶ Now at the end of these years they will join:The daughter of the king of the southland will come to the king of the north to make equitable settlements with him. Yet she shall not retain the vigor of the seed, nor shall he stand or his seed. She will be given up--she and those bringing her, also the lady-in-waiting and he who made her steadfast in these eras."

²⁶ the eaters of his dainties shall break him, his army shall be overwhelmed and many fall wounded." ²⁷ Then the two kings, with evil in their hearts, will sit at one table. Lies will they speak, which shall not prosper, for it is yet further to the end, to the time appointed."

¹⁴ Then Yahweh shall appear over them, and His arrow shall fare forth as a flash. And my Lord Yahweh shall blow with a trumpet, and He goes with tempests of the south."

¹⁶ And the number of the troops of cavalry was two hundred millions-I hear their number.

¹² And the sixth pours out his bowl on the great river Euphrates. And its water is dried up that the road of the kings from the orient may be made ready.

¹³ And He will withdraw the jealousy of Ephraim, and the distressers of Judah shall be cut off. Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah, and Judah will not distress Ephraim." ¹⁴ And they will fly on the shoulders of the Philistines, seaward. Together will they plunder the sons of the east. On Edom and Moab will they first send their hand, yet the sons of Ammon will be first to hearken to them." ¹⁵ Then Yahweh will drain the tongue of the sea of Egypt, and wave His hand over the stream with the vehemence of His wind, and smite it into seven watercourses, and one will tread it in sandals"

²⁶ On Egypt, and on Judah, and on Edom, And on the sons of Ammon, and on Moab, And on all cutting the corner [of the beard], Who are dwelling in the wilderness, For all the nations [are] uncircumcised, And all the house of Israel [are] uncircumcised in heart!"

⁴⁷ And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Moab, In the latter end of the days, An affirmation of Yahweh! Hitherto [is] the judgment of Moab."

⁶ And after this I turn back the captivity of the sons of Ammon, An affirmation of Yahweh.'"

⁸ After many days you are appointed, In the latter end of the years you come in unto a land brought back from sword, [A people] gathered out of many peoples, Upon mountains of Israel, That have been for a perpetual waste, And it from the peoples has been brought out, And dwelt safely have all of them." ⁹ And you have gone up--as wasting you come in, As a cloud to cover the land are you, You and all your bands, and many peoples with you." ¹⁰ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:And it has come to pass in that day, Come up do things on your heart, And you have thought an evil thought, ¹¹ And you have said:I go up against a land of unwalled villages, I go in to those at rest, dwelling confidently, All of them are dwelling without walls, And bar and doors they have not." ¹² To take a spoil, and to take a prey, To turn back your hand on inhabited wastes, And on a people gathered out of nations, Making cattle and substance, Dwelling on a high part of the land." ¹³ Sheba, and Dedan, and merchants of Tarshish, And all its young lions say to you:To take a spoil are you come in? To take a prey assembled your assembly? To bear away silver and gold? To take away cattle and substance? To take a great spoil?

¹⁴ And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Egypt, And I have brought them back [To] the land of Pathros, to the land of their birth, And they have been there a low kingdom."

¹⁰ And I restore them from the land of Egypt, and from Assyria will I convene them. And to the land of Gilead and Lebanon will I bring them, yet no room will be found for them." ¹¹ And He passes in the sea of distress, and He smites the billows in the sea, and all the shadowy depths of the waterway shall be dried. And all the pomp of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall withdraw."

¹⁷ And it comes, whoever will not go up from the families of the earth, to Jerusalem to worship the King, Yahweh of hosts, then the downpour shall not come on them."

⁸ And their corpses will be at the square of the great city which, spiritually, is being called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord, also, was crucified."

⁸ Then all these, your servants, will descend to me and bow themselves down to me, saying: Go forth, you and all the people who follow in your footsteps! And afterward I shall go forth. So he went forth from Pharaoh in the heat of anger.

¹⁰ And Barak calls Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh, and he goes up--at his feet [are] ten thousand men--and Deborah goes up with him.

³ with a thousand and two hundred chariots, and with sixty thousand horsemen, and there is no number to the people who have come with him out of Egypt--Lubim, Sukkiim, and Cushim-.

⁹ Go up, you horses; and boast yourselves, you chariots, And go forth, you mighty, Cush and Phut handling the shield, And Lud handling--treading the bow." ¹⁰ And that day [is] to the Lord Yahweh of Hosts A day of vengeance, To be avenged of His adversaries, And the sword has devoured, and been satisfied, And it has been watered from their blood, For a sacrifice [is] to the Lord Yahweh of Hosts, In the land of the north, by the river Phrat."

⁴ And come in has a sword to Egypt, And there has been great pain in Cush, In the falling of the wounded in Egypt, And they have taken its store, And broken down have been its foundations." ⁵ Cush, and Phut, and Lud, and all the mixture, and Chub, And the sons of the land of the covenant with them by sword do fall,

⁵ Persia, Cush, and Phut, with them, All of them [with] shield and helmet."

⁹ Ethiopia is her staunchness, also Egypt, and there is no end; Phut and Lubim became your help."

³⁰ For there come against him boats of Chittim. Hence he is sore when he returns. He menaces the holy covenant and makes his opposition effective. While he returns, he has an understanding with those who forsake the holy covenant:"

¹³ These have one opinion, and they are giving their power and authority to the wild beast."

¹⁹ And I perceived the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered to do battle with Him Who is sitting on the horse and with His army." ²⁰ And the wild beast is arrested, and with it the false prophet who does the signs in its sight, by which he deceives those getting the emblem of the wild beast, and those worshiping its image. Living, the two were cast into the lake of fire burning with sulphur." ²¹ And the rest were killed with the blade which is coming out of the mouth of Him Who is sitting on the horse. And all the birds are satisfied with their flesh.

² Lovely of undulation, The elation of the entire earth is Mount Zion, The flanks of the north, the town of the great King."

² And it comes in the days hereafter, established shall be the mount of Yahweh, and the house of the Elohim, on the summit of the mountains, and borne by the hills. And stream to it all the nations."

²² And I have been judged with him, With pestilence and with blood, And an overflowing rain and hailstones, Fire and brimstone I rain on him, and on his bands, And on many peoples who [are] with him." ²³ And I have magnified Myself, and sanctified Myself, And I have been known before the eyes of many nations, And they have known that I [am] Yahweh!"

² And have turned you back, and enticed you, And caused you to come up from the sides of the north, And brought you in against mountains of Israel,

³⁵ Then pulverized, as one, are the iron, the clay, the copper, the silver, and the gold, and they are as chaff from summer threshing sites, and the wind lifts them up, and no place at all is found for them. And the stone that collides with the image becomes a vast mountain range, and fills all the earth."

²⁶ Yet adjudication sits; and they will cause his authority to pass away, even to exterminate and to destroy till the terminus."

²⁰ The northerner I will put far off from you, and I will expel him to an arid land and a desolation, with his face to the eastern sea, and his rear guard to the sea that is behind. His stink ascends, and his stench will ascend, for he magnifies his doings."

² And many nations go and say:Go, and we will ascend to the mount of Yahweh, and to the house of the Elohim of Jacob, and He will direct us in His ways, and we will go in His paths. For from Zion shall fare forth the law, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem."

⁸ And it comes to be in that day, that living waters shall fare forth from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea, and half of them to the latter sea. In summer and in winter shall it be thus."

⁸ then will be unveiled the lawless one (whom the Lord Jesus will despatch with the spirit of His mouth and will discard by the advent of His presence),

¹⁰ If anyone is for captivity, into captivity he is going. If anyone will be killing with the sword, he must with the sword be killed. Here is the endurance and faith of the saints."

¹⁴ And I perceived, and lo! a white cloud, and on the cloud One sitting like a son of mankind, having a golden wreath on His head, and a sharp sickle in His hand." ¹⁵ And another messenger came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him Who is sitting on the cloud, "Send in Thy sickle and reap! for the hour came to reap, for the harvest of the earth is dried." ¹⁶ And He Who is sitting on the cloud casts His sickle on the earth, and the earth is reaped." ¹⁷ And another messenger came out of the temple which is in heaven, he, also having a sharp sickle." ¹⁸ And another messenger came out of the altar, having jurisdiction over the fire. And he shouts with a loud voice to him who has the sharp sickle, saying, "Send in your sharp sickle, and pick the clusters of the earth's grapevine, for its grapes are dead ripe." ¹⁹ And the messenger casts his sickle into the earth, and picks the grapevine of the earth, and he casts them into the great trough of the fury of God." ²⁰ And the trough was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the trough up to the bits of the horses, for a thousand six hundred stadia."

² And he lays hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the Adversary and Satan, and binds him a thousand years."

⁹ And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and surround the citadel of the saints and the beloved city. And fire descended from God out of heaven and devoured them."
