¹ Elohim spoke all these words, saying. ² I am Yahweh your Elohim Who brought you forth from the land of Egypt, from the house of servants. ³ You shall not come to have other elohim in preference to Me. ⁴ You shall not make for yourself a carving nor any representation of that in the heavens above or that on the earth beneath, or that in the waters beneath the earth. ⁵ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor be made to serve them, for I, Yahweh your Elohim, am a jealous El, visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those hating Me, ⁶ yet doing kindness to thousands, to those loving Me and observing My instructions. ⁷ You shall not take up the name of Yahweh your Elohim for futility, for Yahweh shall not hold innocent him who takes up His name for futility. ⁸ You are to remember the sabbath day to hallow it. ⁹ Six days shall you serve and do all your work, ¹⁰ yet the seventh day is a sabbath to Yahweh your Elohim. You shall not do any work, you, your son or your daughter, your servant or your maidservant, your bull, your donkey or your beast, or your sojourner who is within your gates. ¹¹ For in six days Yahweh dealt with the heavens and earth, the sea and all that is in them, and He stopped on the seventh day. Therefore, Yahweh blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it. ¹² Glorify your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged on the ground which Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you. ¹³ You shall not murder. ¹⁴ You shall not commit adultery. ¹⁵ You shall not steal. ¹⁶ You shall not answer against your associate with false testimony. ¹⁷ You shall not covet the house of your associate. You shall not covet the wife of your associate, his field, his servant or his maidservant, his bull, his donkey or anything which is your associate's. ¹⁸ All the people were discerning the voices and the torches and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain asmoke. And the people saw and roved about and stood afar. ¹⁹ They said to Moses: Speak you with us that we may hear; yet Elohim must not speak with us lest we die. ²⁰ Then Moses said to the people: Do not fear, for in order to probe you the One, Elohim has come, and in order that the fear of Him should come over your faces, that you may not sin. ²¹ Then the people stood afar, yet Moses, he came close to the murkiness where the One, Elohim was. ²² Yahweh said to Moses: Thus shall you say to the sons of Israel, You have seen that from the heavens I have spoken with you. ²³ You shall not make anything beside Me: no elohim of silver nor elohim of gold shall you make for yourselves. ²⁴ An altar of ground soil shall you make for Me, and you will sacrifice on it your ascent offerings and your peace offerings, your flock and your herd. In every place where I shall record My name I shall come to you and will bless you. ²⁵ And if you shall make an altar of stones for Me you shall not build it with them trimmed; in case you have swung your sword against it, then you have profaned it. ²⁶ And you shall not ascent on My altar by stairs so that your nakedness be not exposed on it.

³³ Has a people ever heard the voice of the living Elohim speaking from the midst of the fire just as you heard it, and lived?

³⁶ From the heavens He let you hear His voice, to discipline you, and on the earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words from the midst of the fire.

⁴ Face to face Yahweh spoke with you at the mount from the midst of the fire

²² These were the words Yahweh spoke to your whole assembly at the mountain, in a loud voice from the midst of the fire, the darkness, the cloud and the murkiness; and He added no more. He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.

³⁸ This is he who came to be in the ecclesia in the wilderness with the messenger, who speaks to him in mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who receives the living oracles to give to you,

⁵³ who got the law for a mandate of messengers and do not maintain it!"

⁷ And I set up My covenant between Me and you, and your seed after you, for their generations, for a covenant eonian, to become your Elohim and your seed's after you. ⁸ And I give to you and to your seed after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for a holding eonian. And I become their Elohim.

¹ Yahweh said to Moses: Enter to Pharaoh, for I have made his heart glory and the hearts of his servants that I may set these My signs among them, ² and that you may relate in the ears of your son, and your son's son, that which I set in action in Egypt, and My signs which I placed among them, that you will know that I am Yahweh. ³ So Moses and Aaron entered to Pharaoh and said to him: Thus says Yahweh, Elohim of the Hebrews, How long will you refuse to be humbled because of My presence? Dismiss My people that they may serve Me!" ⁴ For if you refuse to dismiss My people, behold Me bringing the locusts swarm tomorrow into your boundary, ⁵ and it will cover the eye of the land, so that none can see the land, and it will eat the delivered leavings, whatever remained for you from the hail. It will eat every tree which is sprouting for you from the field. ⁶ Your houses will be full and the houses of all your servants and the houses of all the Egyptians, such as your fathers and your fathers' fathers had not seen, from the day they came to be on the ground until this day. Then he turned around and went forth from Pharaoh. ⁷ Now the servants of Pharaoh said to him: How long shall this man become a trap to us? Dismiss the men that they may serve Yahweh their Elohim. Do you not yet know that Egypt perishes? ⁸ When Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh, he said to them: Go! Serve Yahweh your Elohim! Who and who are those going? ⁹ Moses said: With our youths and with our elders shall we go, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds shall we go, for it is a celebration of Yahweh for us. ¹⁰ Then he said to them: So let Yahweh be with you, if ever I dismiss you and your little ones! Discern that evil is in front of your faces. ¹¹ Not so! Go now, just the men of mastery, and serve Yahweh, for it is what you are seeking. So they drove them out from the presence of Pharaoh. ¹² Yahweh said to Moses: Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locust that it may ascend over the land of Egypt and devour all the herbage of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail has let remain. ¹³ So Moses stretched out his rod over the land of Egypt, and Yahweh drove an east wind into the land all that day and all the night. The morning came, and the east wind carried the locust swarm along. ¹⁴ Then the locust swarm ascended over all the land of Egypt, and it rested within the entire boundary of Egypt, exceedingly heavy. Before it there had not come to be a locust swarm so great as it, and after it none shall come to be so. ¹⁵ It covered the eye of all the land, and the land was darkened. And it devoured all the herbage of the land and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left, so that no green at all was left on the trees nor on the herbage of the field in all the land of Egypt.

³ Moses said to the people: You are to remember this day on which you went forth from the land of Egypt, from the house of servants, for with steadfastness of hand Yahweh brought you forth hence; then nothing leavened should be eaten.

³⁶ Just scales, just stone weights, a just ephah and a just hin shall you come to have:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim Who brought you forth from the land of Egypt.

⁴³ that your generations may know that in booths I made the sons of Israel dwell when I brought them forth from the land of Egypt:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

¹ You shall not make forbidden idols for yourselves, nor set up carvings and monuments for yourselves, nor put a stone picture in your land to bow yourself down before it, for I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

¹³ I, Yahweh, am your Elohim Who brought you forth from the land of Egypt, from being servants to them. I have broken the slider bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk upraised.

⁶ I, Yahweh, am your Elohim Who brought you forth from the country of Egypt, from the house of servants.

¹⁵ Remember that you had become a servant in the country of Egypt, and Yahweh your Elohim brought you forth from there with a steadfast hand and with an outstretched arm. Therefore Yahweh your Elohim instructed you to observe the sabbath day.

⁴ Hear, Israel! Yahweh is our Elohim; Yahweh the only One. ⁵ So you will love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your intensity.

⁸ But it was because of the love of Yahweh for you and because of His keeping the oath that He had sworn to your fathers that Yahweh brought you forth with a steadfast hand and ransomed you from the house of servants, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

¹⁰ You will stone him with stones so that he dies, for he sought to induce you away from Yahweh your Elohim, the One bringing you forth from the country of Egypt, from the house of servants.

¹⁵ Remember that you had become a servant in the country of Egypt, and Yahweh your Elohim ransomed you. Therefore I am instructing you to obey this word today.

⁶ The Egyptians did evil to us, humiliated us and put hard service on us. ⁷ But we cried to Yahweh Elohim of our fathers, and Yahweh heard our voice and saw our humiliation, our toil and our oppression. ⁸ Then Yahweh brought us forth from Egypt with a steadfast hand and with an outstretched arm, with great fear-inspiring deeds, with signs and with miracles.

⁵ And Yahweh his Elohim gives him into the hand of the king of Aram, and they smite him, and take captive from him a great captivity, and bring [them] in to Damascus, and also into the hand of the king of Israel he has been given, and he smites him--a great smiting.

⁷ Do hear, My people, and let Me speak; Let Me testify against you, Israel; Elohim, your Elohim, am I."

¹⁰ I, Yahweh, am your Elohim, Who brought you up from the country of Egypt; Open wide your mouth, and I shall fill it."

¹ At that time, an affirmation of Yahweh, I am for Elohim to all families of Israel, And they--they are to Me for a people."

³³ For this [is] the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An affirmation of Yahweh, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their heart I do write it, And I have been to them for Elohim, And they are to me for a people."

⁴ And I am Yahweh, your Elohim, Who establishes the heavens and creates the earth, Whose hands created all the host of the heavens. Yet I did not show them to you that you should go after them, when I brought you up from the land of Egypt. You will not know an elohim except Me, and there is no Saviour, unless it is I."

²⁹ Or is He the god of the Jews only? Is He not of the nations also?

¹² For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same One is Lord of all, being rich for all who are invoking Him."

¹¹ Who is like You among the elim, Yahweh? Who is like You, ennobled in holiness, fear-inspiring in praiseworthy deeds, working marvels?

²³ You shall not make anything beside Me: no elohim of silver nor elohim of gold shall you make for yourselves.

⁷ You shall not come to have other elohim in preference to Me.

⁵ So you will love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your intensity.

¹⁴ You shall not go after other elohim of the elohim of the peoples who are around you

¹⁸ and Yahweh casts out the whole of the peoples, even the Amorite inhabiting the land, from our presence; we also do serve Yahweh, for He [is] our Elohim.. ¹⁹ And Joshua said unto the people, `You are not able to serve Yahweh, for an Elohim most holy He [is]; a zealous El He [is]; He does not bear with your transgression and with your sins. <sup>20</sup> When you forsake Yahweh, and have served elohims of a stranger, then He has turned back and done evil to you, and consumed you, after that He has done good to you.. <sup>21</sup> And the people said unto Joshua, `No, but Yahweh we do serve.. ²² And Joshua said unto the people, `Witnesses you are against yourselves, that you have chosen for you Yahweh to serve Him (and they say, `Witnesses!'. ²³ and, now, turn aside the elohims of the stranger which [are] in your midst, and incline your heart unto Yahweh, Elohim of Israel.. ²⁴ And the people say unto Joshua, `Yahweh our Elohim we serve, and to His voice we hearken..

²⁹ and they are making each nation its elohims, and place [them] in the houses of the high places that the Samaritans have made, each nation in their cities where they are dwelling. ³⁰ And the men of Babylon have made Succoth-Benoth, and the men of Cuth have made Nergal, and the men of Hamath have made Ashima, ³¹ and the Avites have made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites are burning their sons with fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, elohims of Sepharvim. ³² And they are fearing Yahweh, and make to themselves from their extremities priests of high places, and they are acting for them in the house of the high places. ³³ Yahweh they are fearing, and their elohims they are serving, according to the custom of the nations whence they removed them. ³⁴ Unto this day they are doing according to the former customs--they are not fearing Yahweh, and are not doing according to their statutes, and according to their ordinances, and according to the law, and according to the command, that Yahweh commanded the sons of Jacob whose name He made Israel, ³⁵ and Yahweh makes with them a covenant, and charges them, saying, `You do not fear other elohims, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them,

² Grant to Yahweh the glory of His Name; Worship Yahweh in His holy effulgence.

²⁵ Who do I have in the heavens but You? And besides You, none do I desire on earth."

⁹ An alien el shall not come among you, And you shall not bow down to a foreign el."

⁴ Trust in Yahweh for the futures of the future. For in Yah, Yahweh is a Rock for the eons."

¹⁰ You are My witnesses,averring is Yahweh Elohim, "And My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and will believe Me, and understand that I am He:Before Me was formed no El. And after Me none shall come."

⁸ You must not be afraid! And you must not fear! Have I not hitherto announced it to you, and told it? And you are My witnesses. Forsooth, is there an Eloah apart from Me? And no other Rock is there. I fail to know of any."

²¹ Tell, and bring them close. Indeed, they shall consult together. Who announced this from aforetime? Hitherto, Who told it? Not I, Yahweh? And no one else is Elohim, apart from Me. An El, just, and a Saviour. And none is there, except Me." ²² Face to Me and be saved, all the limits of the earth, for I am El, and there is none else."

⁹ Remember the first things from the eon, for I am the El, and there is no further Elohim, and the limit is as Me."

⁶ And you do not go after other elohims to serve them, and to bow yourselves to them, nor do you provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, and I do no evil to you;"

¹⁵ And I send unto you all My servants the prophets, rising early and sending, saying:Turn back, I pray you, each from his evil way, and amend your doings, yea, you do not walk after other elohims, to serve them, and dwell you on the ground that I have given to you and to your fathers; and you have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto Me."

¹⁰ Then Jesus is saying to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written,
The Lord your God shall you be worshiping,
And to Him only shall you be offering divine service."

⁴ Then, concerning the feeding on the idol sacrifices: We are aware that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God except One."

⁶ nevertheless for us there is one God, the Father, out of Whom all is, and we for Him, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through Whom all is, and we through Him."

⁵ For this you perceive, knowing that no paramour at all or unclean or greedy person, who is an idolater, has any enjoyment of the allotment in the kingdom of Christ and of God."

¹⁹ whose consummation is destruction, whose god is their bowels, and whose glory is in their shame, who to the terrestial are disposed."

¹⁸ Let no one be arbitrating against you, who wants, in humility and the ritual of the messengers, to parade what he has seen, feignedly, puffed up by his fleshly mind,

²⁰ Yet we are aware that the Son of God is arriving, and has given us a comprehension, that we know the True One, and we are in the True One, in His Son, Jesus Christ. This One is the true God and life eonian." ²¹ Little children, guard yourselves from idols!"

¹⁰ And I fall in front of his feet to worship him. And he is saying to me, "See! No! A fellow slave of yours am I, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

⁹ And he is saying to me, "See! No! a fellow slave of yours am I, and of your brethren, the prophets and those keeping the sayings of this scroll. Worship God!"

¹ The people saw that Moses was tardy to descend from the mountain. So the people assembled themselves against Aaron and said to him: Rise! Make for us elohim who shall go before us, for this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we know not what has become of him.

⁸ They have withdrawn quickly from the way I instructed them. They have made for themselves a molten calf and bowed themselves down to it. They have sacrificed to it and said: These are your elohim, Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.

²³ for they said to me: Make elohim for us who shall go before us, for this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we know not what has become of him.

¹⁷ Molten elohim you shall not make for yourself.

⁴ Do not turn around to the forbidden idols; and molten elohim you shall not make for yourselves:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

¹⁵ You must be very much on guard against your soulish desires (since you saw no physical representation at all on the day Yahweh spoke to you at Horeb from the midst of the fire) ¹⁶ lest you should bring ruin on yourselves and make for yourselves a carving, a physical representation of any figure, a model of male or female, ¹⁷ a model of any beast which is on the earth, a model of any winged bird which flies in the heavens, ¹⁸ a model of any animal moving on the ground, a model of any fish which is in the waters below the earth. ¹⁹ Guard yourselves lest you should lift up your eyes toward the heavens, and you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of the heavens, and be induced to bow yourself down to them and serve them, which Yahweh your Elohim has apportioned to all other peoples beneath the entire heavens.

²³ Guard yourselves lest you forget the covenant of Yahweh your Elohim that He contracted with you, and so you make for yourselves a carving, a physical representation of anything, against which Yahweh your Elohim had instructed you;" ²⁴ for Yahweh your Elohim, He is a devouring fire, a jealous El. ²⁵ When you beget sons and sons of sons, and find repose in the land and then become corrupt and make a carving, a physical representation of anything, and do evil in the eyes of Yahweh your Elohim so as to provoke Him to vexatio.

⁸ You shall not make for yourself a carving nor any physical representation of that in the heavens above or that on the earth beneath or that in the waters beneath the earth.

¹⁵ Cursed be the man who makes a carving or a molten image, an abhorrence to Yahweh, the work of an artificer's hands, and places it in concealment. Then all the people will respond and say:Amen!"

²⁸ And the king takes counsel, and makes two calves of gold, and said unto them, `Enough to you of going up to Jerusalem; lo, your elohims, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt..

⁷ And he places the graven image of the idol that he made in the house of Elohim, of which Elohim said unto David, and unto Solomon his son, `In this house, and in Jerusalem that I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I put My name to the eon,

⁷ May all the servants of a carving be ashamed, The ones boasting in useless idols; Bow down to Him, all you elohim."

⁴ Their fetishes are silver and gold, The work of human hands;" ⁵ They have a mouth, but they cannot speak; They have eyes, but they cannot see;" ⁶ They have ears, but they cannot hear; They have a nose, but they cannot smell;" ⁷ Their hands, they cannot feel with them; Their feet, they cannot walk with them; They cannot even mumble in their throat." ⁸ Like them, may their makers become, All who are trusting in them."

¹⁵ The fetishes of the nations are silver and gold, The work of human hands." ¹⁶ They have a mouth, but they cannot speak; They have eyes, but they cannot see;" ¹⁷ They have ears, but they cannot listen; Indeed, there is really no spirit in their mouth." ¹⁸ Like them, may their makers become, All who are trusting in them."

¹⁸ Then to whom will you liken El? And what likeness will you arrange for Him? ¹⁹ A carving? That which is made, or is cast by an artificer, and a refiner with gold is stamping it, and chains of silver he is refining, a likeness is he making it." ²⁰ A provident one will choose a heave approach of wood that will not rot. He will seek for himself a wise artificer, to prepare a carving with no blemish."

⁸ I am Yahweh, The Elohim! That is My name, and I will not give My glory to another, nor My praises to carvings."

¹⁷ nor do I forsake them, when they are turned away back. Ashamed, yea ashamed shall be those trusting in a carving, who are saying to a molten image, `You are our elohim!'"

⁹ Formers of carvings, all of them are a chaos. And makers of their coveted idols shall fail to benefit. And their witnesses they will fail to see and fail to know, that they may be ashamed, ¹⁰ Who form an el, and cast a carving which fails to benefit." ¹¹ Behold! All his partners are ashamed. And the artificers, they are blushing. They are convening. All of them are standing together. They shall be afraid. They are ashamed together." ¹² Sharpening is the smith the adz, and he contrives to do it in the coals. And with picks is he forming it. And contriving it with the vigor of his arm. Moreover, he is famishing and there is no vigor, and he drinks no water, and is faint." ¹³ The carpenter choosing wood, stretches out a tape. He is drawing the carving with red ochre. He is making it with gouges, and with a circle former is drawing it. And he is making it as a model of a man, as the beauty of a human, to dwell in a house." ¹⁴ He cuts down for himself cedars, and is taking juniper and oak, and the tough is his among the wildwood trees, planted by the Lord, and the downpour is making it grow." ¹⁵ And it comes to be for a human to consume. And he is taking of them for warmth. Indeed, he is igniting it and bakes bread. Indeed, he is contriving an el, and is worshiping it. He makes it a carving and is falling on his knees and face to it." ¹⁶ Half of it he burned up in the fire. And on this half of it he is eating flesh. He is roasting a roast and is satisfied. And by its embers he sits. Indeed, he is warming himself, and is saying, `Aha! I am warm! I see light!'" <sup>17</sup> And the remnant of it he makes into an el. To a decaying tree, to it is he falling on his knees and face. And he is worshiping, and praying to it, and saying, `Rescue me, for my el are you!'" ¹⁸ They do not know, nor are they understanding, for He plasters their eyes, from seeing, and their hearts, from intelligence." ¹⁹ And he is not recalling to his heart, and no knowledge is there, nor understanding to say, "Half of it I burned up in the fire, and, indeed, I baked on its embers bread, roasting flesh and eating. And the rest of it I am making into an abhorrence. To a decaying tree am I falling on my knees and face!" ²⁰ Grazing on ashes, a trifling heart turns him aside. And he is not rescuing his soul, nor is he saying, "Is not a falsehood in my right hand?

¹⁶ They are ashamed and even confounded, all of them together. And they go into confounding, artificers of forms."

⁵ To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal, and compare Me, and we shall be alike? ⁶ Squanderers of gold from a purse, and silver, with reed scales will they weigh. They will hire a refiner and he will make of it an el. And they will fall on their knees and face. Indeed, they will worship!" ⁷ And they will bear it on a shoulder, they shall be burdened with it. And they will leave it on its bottom, then it is standing. From its place it is not being removed. Indeed, he is crying to it, yet it is not answering. From his distress it will not save him." ⁸ Remember this and be on fire. Recall it to heart, transgressors."

³ For the statutes of the peoples are vanity, For a tree from a forest has one cut, Work of the hands of an artificer, with an axe, ⁴ With silver and with gold they beautify it, With nails and with hammers they fix it, And it does not stumble." ⁵ As a palm they [are] stiff, and they speak not, They are surely borne, for they step not, Be not afraid of them, for they do no evil, Yea, also to do good is not in them."

⁸ And in one they are brutish and foolish, An instruction of vanities [is] the tree itself." ⁹ Spread-out silver from Tarshish is brought, And gold from Uphaz, Work of an artisan, and of the hands of a refiner, Blue and purple [is] their clothing, Work of the skilful--all of them."

¹⁴ Brutish is every man by knowledge, Put to shame is every refiner by a graven image, For false [is] his molten image. And there is no breath in them." ¹⁵ Vanity [are] they, work of erring ones, In the time of their inspection they perish." ¹⁶ Not like these [is] the Portion of Jacob, For framer of all things [is] He, And Israel [is] the rod of His inheritance, Yahweh of Hosts [is] His name."

¹⁰ And I go in, and look, and lo, every form of creeping thing, and detestable beast--and all the Idols of the house of Israel--graved on the wall, all round about,

²⁹ The race, then, is inherently of God; we ought not to be inferring that the Divine is like gold, or silver, or stone, a sculpture of art and human sentiment."

²⁶ and you are beholding and hearing that, not only of Ephesus, but of almost the entire province of Asia, this Paul by his persuading causes a considerable throng to stand aloof, saying that they are not gods which are coming into being by means of hands." ²⁷ Now, not only is this endangering our party, by it coming to be confuted, but the sanctuary of the great goddess Artemis also is being thereby reckoned nothing. Besides, her magnificence is about to be pulled down also, whom the whole province of Asia and the inhabited earth is revering." ²⁸ Now, hearing this and becoming full of fury, they cried, saying, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" ²⁹ And filled is the city with confusion. Besides, they rush with one accord into the theater, gripping Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians, fellow travelers of Paul." ³⁰ (Now, at Paul's intending to enter in to the populace, the disciples did not let him." ³¹ Yet some of the chiefs of the province of Asia also, being his friends, sending to him, entreated him not to venture into the theater himself.)" ³² Others, indeed, then, cried some other thing, for the ecclesia was in confusion, and the majority were not aware on what account they had come together." ³³ Now they unite on Alexander, one of the throng, the Jews pushing him forward. Now Alexander, gesturing with his hand, wanted to make a defense to the populace." ³⁴ Yet, on recognizing that he is a Jew, one voice came from all for about two hours, crying, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians! Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" ³⁵ Now, composing the throng, the scribe is averring, "Men! Ephesians!What man is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is sexton of the temple of the great Artemis and of that which fell from Zeus?

²³ and they change the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of an image of a corruptible human being and flying creatures and quadrupeds and reptiles.

²⁰ And the rest of mankind, who were not killed in these calamities, repent not of the acts of their hands- that they will not be worshiping the demons and idols of gold and silver and copper and stone and wood, which are neither able to be observing nor to be hearing nor to be walking-."

¹⁴ And it is deceiving those dwelling on the earth because of the signs which were given it to do in the sight of the wild beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth to make an image to the wild beast which has the blow of the sword and lives." ¹⁵ And it was given to it to give spirit to the image of the wild beast, that the image of the wild beast should be speaking also, and should be causing that whosoever should not be worshiping the image of the wild beast may be killed."

⁹ And another, a third messenger, follows them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone is worshiping the wild beast and its image, and is getting an emblem on his forehead or on his hand, ¹⁰ he, also, is drinking of the wine of the fury of God, blended undiluted in the cup of His indignation, and he shall be tormented in fire and sulphur in the sight of the holy messengers and in the sight of the Lambkin." ¹¹ And the fumes of their torment are ascending for the eons of the eons. And they are having no rest day and night, those worshiping the wild beast and its image, and if anyone is getting the emblem of its name."

² And forth came the first, and he pours out his bowl into the land. And an evil and malignant ulcer came on those of mankind who have the emblem of the wild beast, and worship its image."

²⁴ You shall not bow yourself down to their elohim nor be made to serve them, nor shall you do according to their deeds, for you shall demolish, yea demolish them and break down, yea break down their monuments.

⁶ Now Yahweh passed by before his face and called: Yahweh, Yahweh El, Who is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and with much kindness and truth, ⁷ preserving kindness to thousands, bearing with depravity, transgression and sin, yet He is not immediately making innocent in order to make innocent, but visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons and on the sons' sons, on the third and on the fourth generation.

¹⁴ For you shall not bow yourself down to another el (for Yahweh, Jealous is His name; He is a jealous El.

⁵ then I Myself will set My face against that man and against his family and will cut off from among their people him and all those prostituting after him, to prostitute after Moloch.

²⁹ You will eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall you eat.

³⁹ The remainder among you shall be putrid over their depravity in the lands of your enemies, and also over the depravities of their fathers with them shall they be putrid. ⁴⁰ If they will confess their depravity and the depravity of their fathers in their offense (when they had offended Me and, indeed, when they had gone contrary to M.

¹⁸ Yahweh, slow to anger and with much kindness and truth, bearing with depravity and transgression and sin, yet He is not immediately making innocent in order to make innocent, but is visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation.

³³ and your sons shall be shepherds in the wilderness for forty years, and they will bear your prostitutions until your corpses are spent in the wilderness.

²⁴ for Yahweh your Elohim, He is a devouring fire, a jealous El.

⁹ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor be made to serve them, for I, Yahweh your Elohim, am a jealous El, visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those hating Me,

¹⁵ (for a jealous El is Yahweh your Elohim among you); otherwise the anger of Yahweh your Elohim shall grow hot against you, and He will exterminate you off the surface of the ground.

¹⁰ yet repaying the one hating Him right to His face, so as to destroy him. He shall not delay toward one hating Him right to His face; He shall repay him.

²¹ As for them, they make Me jealous with a non-el. They provoke Me to vexation with their idols of vanity. As for Me, I shall make them jealous with a non-people; with a decadent nation shall I cause them vexation.

⁴¹ when I whet My flashing sword and My hand lays hold on judgment, I shall return vengeance to My foes, and to My haters shall I make repayment.

⁷ so as not to go in among these nations, these who are left with you; and of the name of their elohims you do not make mention, nor do you swear, nor do you serve them, nor do you bow yourselves to them;"

¹⁶ in your transgressing the covenant of Yahweh your Elohim which He commanded you, and you have gone and served other elohims, and bowed yourselves to them, then has the anger of Yahweh burned against you, and you have perished hastily from off the good land which He has given to you..

¹⁹ And Joshua said unto the people, `You are not able to serve Yahweh, for an Elohim most holy He [is]; a zealous El He [is]; He does not bear with your transgression and with your sins.

¹⁹ And it has come to pass, at the death of the judge--they turn back and have done corruptly above their fathers, to go after other elohims, to serve them, and to bow themselves to them; they have not fallen from their doings, and from their stiff way.

² `Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, I have looked after that which Amalek did to Israel, that which he laid for him in the way in his going up out of Egypt. ³ Now, go, and you have smitten Amalek, and devoted all that it has, and you have no pity on it, and have put to death from man unto woman, from infant unto suckling, from ox unto sheep, from camel unto ass..

¹ And there is a famine in the days of David three years, year after year, and David seeks the face of Yahweh, and Yahweh said, `For Saul and for the bloody house, because that he put to death the Gibeonites..

⁶ let there be given to us seven men of his sons, and we have hanged them before Yahweh, in the height of Saul, the chosen of Yahweh.' And the king said, `I do give;.

²⁹ `Have you seen that Ahab has been humbled before Me? because that he has been humbled before Me, I bring not in the evil in his days; in the days of his son I bring in the evil on his house..

³⁵ and Yahweh makes with them a covenant, and charges them, saying, `You do not fear other elohims, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them,

⁴¹ and these nations are fearing Yahweh, and their graven images they have served, both their sons and their sons' sons; as their fathers did, they are doing unto this day.

²⁶ Only, Yahweh has not turned back from the fierceness of His great anger with which His anger burned against Judah, because of all the provocations with which Manasseh provoked him,

¹⁴ And it comes to pass, after the coming in of Amaziah from smiting the Edomites, that he brings in the elohims of the sons of Seir, and establishes them to him for elohims, and before them does bow himself, and to them he makes perfume.

⁴ May his sons go far from safety, And may they be crushed in the gate when there is no rescuer.

¹⁹ Is Eloah secluding payment for his lawlessness to give to his sons? May He repay him that he may know!

⁵⁸ They provoked Him to vexation with their high-places, And they made Him jealous with their carvings."

⁸ Do not hold against us the depravities of former generations; Let Your compassions quickly confront us, For we are very impoverished."

¹⁵ Those hating Yahweh, they shall cower before Him, And their season for this shall be for the eon."

¹⁴ May the depravity of his fathers be remembered before Yahweh, And the sin of his mother, let it not be wiped out."

³⁴ For jealousy incites the fury of a master, And he shall not spare in the day of vengeance;" ³⁵ He shall not respect any sheltering gift And shall not be willing to relent though you increase the bribe.

³⁶ Yet whoever misses me wrongs his soul; All who hate me love death.

²⁰ You shall not unite with them in the tomb, "For you ruined My land, you killed My people. You shall not be proclaimed for the eon, you seed of evil doers!" ²¹ Prepare a slaughter for his sons, for the depravity of their fathers. They will fail to rise and tenant the earth, and fill the surface of the habitance with cities."

¹⁵ And it comes to be for a human to consume. And he is taking of them for warmth. Indeed, he is igniting it and bakes bread. Indeed, he is contriving an el, and is worshiping it. He makes it a carving and is falling on his knees and face to it."

¹⁹ And he is not recalling to his heart, and no knowledge is there, nor understanding to say, "Half of it I burned up in the fire, and, indeed, I baked on its embers bread, roasting flesh and eating. And the rest of it I am making into an abhorrence. To a decaying tree am I falling on my knees and face!"

⁶ Behold! It is written before Me, I will not hush, save I repay. And I repay into their bosoms, ⁷ your depravities and the depravities of your forefathers together,says Yahweh, "Who fume incense on the mountains, and on the hills defy Me; and I measure their wage first into their bosom."

⁹ Therefore, yet I plead with you, An affirmation of Yahweh, And with your sons' sons I plead."

¹⁸ Doing kindness to thousands, and recompensing iniquity of fathers into the bosom of their sons after them; El, the great, the mighty, Yahweh of Hosts [is] His name,

³ And He puts forth a form of a hand, and takes me by a lock of my head, and lift me up does a spirit between the earth and the heavens, and it brings me in to Jerusalem in visions of Elohim, unto the opening of the inner gate that is facing the north, where [is] the seat of the figure of jealousy that is making jealous,

² Yet Yahweh is giving into his hand Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and at the end, the furnishings of the house of Elohim. Then he is bringing them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his Elohim, and the furnishings he brings to the treasure-house of his Elohim."

² An El, jealous and avenging, is Yahweh. An avenger is Yahweh, and possessor of fury. An avenger is Yahweh to His foes, and a transporter is He of his enemies."

⁹ And he said to Him, "All these to you will I be giving, if ever, falling down, you should be worshiping me."

³⁴ Therefore, lo! I am dispatching to you prophets and wise men and scribes. Of them, some you will be killing and crucifying, and of them, some you will be scourging in your synagogues and persecuting from city to city, ³⁵ so that on you should be coming all the just blood shed on the earth, from the blood of just Abel until the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murder between the temple and the altar." ³⁶ Verily, I am saying to you: All these things will be arriving on this generation."

⁷ The world can not be hating you, yet Me it is hating, for I am testifying concerning it that its acts are wicked."

¹⁸ If the world is hating you, know that it has hated Me first before you."

²³ He who is hating Me is hating My Father also. ²⁴ If I do not the works among them which no other one does, they had no sin. Yet now they have seen also, and they have hated Me as well as My Father,

³⁰ vilifiers, detesters of God, outragers, proud, ostentatious, inventors of evil things, stubborn to parents,

⁷ because the disposition of the flesh is enmity to God, for it is not subject to the law of God, for neither is it able."

²² Or are we provoking the Lord to jealousy? Not stronger that He are we!

⁴ Adulterers and adulteresses! Are you not aware that the friendship of this world is enmity with God? Whosoever, then should intend to be a friend of the world is constituted an enemy of God."

³⁷ For inasmuch as He loved your fathers and chose their seed after them and brought you forth from Egypt into His presence by His great vigor,

²⁹ O that their heart might become this way with them:to fear Me and to observe all My instructions all the days, that it might be well with them and with their sons for the eon.

⁹ Then know that Yahweh your Elohim, He is the One Elohim, the El, Who is faithful, keeping the covenant and the kindness to those loving Him and to those observing His instructions for a thousand generations,

³⁹ and I have given to them one heart, and one way, to fear Me all the days, for good to them, and to their sons after them:" ⁴⁰ and I have made for them a covenant eonian, in that I turn not back from after them for My doing them good, and My fear I put in their heart, so as not to turn aside from me;"

¹⁵ If you should be loving Me, you will be keeping My precepts."

²¹ He who has My precepts and is keeping them, he it is who is loving Me. Now he who is loving Me will be loved by My Father, and I shall be loving him and shall be disclosing Myself to him."

³⁹ For to you is the promise and to your children, and to all those afar, whosoever the Lord our God should be calling to Him."

²⁸ As to the evangel, indeed, they are enemies because of you, yet, as to choice, they are beloved because of the fathers." ²⁹ For unregretted are the graces and the calling of God.

¹⁹ We are loving God, for He first loves us."

³ For this is the love of God, that we may be keeping His precepts. And His precepts are not heavy,

⁶ And this is love, that we may be walking according to His precepts. This is the precept, according as you hear from the beginning, that you may be walking in it;"

¹² And you shall not swear by My name falsely and so profane the name of your Elohim:I am Yahweh.

¹¹ and the son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the name of Yahweh, and he maledicted it. So they brought him to Moses. (Now the name of his mother was Shelomith daughter of Dibri of the stock of Dan.. ¹² They left him under guard until Moses expounded the case for them at the bidding of Yahweh. ¹³ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying. ¹⁴ Bring forth the maledictor outside the camp, and all the hearers will support their hands on his head, and the whole congregation will pelt him with stones. ¹⁵ And to the sons of Israel shall you speak, saying:In case any man maledicts his Elohim, then he will bear his own sin. ¹⁶ The blasphemer of the name of Yahweh shall be put to death, yea death. The whole congregation shall pelt, yea pelt him with stones. The sojourner as well as the native; when he blasphemes the Name, he shall be put to death.

¹¹ You shall not take up the name of Yahweh your Elohim for futility, for Yahweh shall not hold innocent him who takes up His name for futility.

²⁰ Yahweh your Elohim shall you fear, and Him shall you serve; to Him shall you cling, and by His name shall you swear.

¹² `And now, swear you, I pray you, to me by Yahweh--because I have done with you kindness--that you have done, even you, kindness with the house of my father, and have given to me a true token,

¹⁷ And the men say unto her, `We are acquitted of this your oath which you have caused us to swear.

²⁰ this we do to them, and have kept them alive, and wrath is not upon us, because of the oath which we have sworn to them..

¹ And there is a famine in the days of David three years, year after year, and David seeks the face of Yahweh, and Yahweh said, `For Saul and for the bloody house, because that he put to death the Gibeonites.. ² And the king calls for the Gibeonites, and said unto them--as to the Gibeonites, they [are] not of the sons of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorite, and the sons of Israel had sworn to them, and Saul seeks to smite them in his zeal for the sons of Israel and Judah-.

⁹ and now, acquit him not, for a wise man you [are], and you have known that which you do to him, and have brought down his old age with blood to Sheol..

¹⁴ Sacrifice to Elohim acclamation, And pay to the Supreme your vows." ¹⁵ And call upon Me in the day of distress; I shall liberate you, and you shall glorify Me." ¹⁶ Yet Elohim says to the wicked one, What is it to you to recount My statutes, Or that you bear My covenant on your mouth?

⁹ Lest I should be surfeited So that I disavow You and say, Who is Yahweh? Or lest I be destitute and steal, So that I denigrate the name of my El."

² And you have sworn--Yahweh lives, In truth, in judgment, and in righteousness, And blessed themselves in Him have nations, And in Him they boast themselves."

³³ "Again, you hear that it was declared to the ancients, You shall not be perjuring, yet you shall be paying to the Lord your oaths. ³⁴ Yet I am saying to you absolutely not to swear, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God, ³⁵ nor by the earth, for it is a footstool for His feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King; ³⁶ nor by your head should you be swearing, for you are not able to make one hair white or black. ³⁷ Yet let your word be 'Yes, Yes,' 'No, No.' Now what is in excess of these is of the wicked one.

¹⁶ Woe to you, blind guides! who are saying, 'Whoever should be swearing by the temple, it is nothing; yet whoever should be swearing by the gold of the temple is owing.'" ¹⁷ Stupid and blind! for which is greater, the gold, or the temple that hallows the gold? ¹⁸ And, 'Whoever should be swearing by the altar, it is nothing; yet whoever should be swearing by the approach present upon it is owing.'" ¹⁹ Stupid and blind! for which is greater, the approach present, or the altar that is hallowing the approach present? ²⁰ He, then, who swears by the altar is swearing by it and by all which is upon it." ²¹ And he who swears by the temple is swearing by it and by Him Who is dwelling in it. ²² And he who swears by heaven is swearing by the throne of God and by Him Who is sitting upon it.

⁶³ Yet Jesus was silent. And, answering, the chief priest said to Him, "I exorcise you by the living God that you may tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God." ⁶⁴ Saying to him is Jesus, "You say it! Moreover, I am saying to you, Henceforth you shall be seeing the Son of Mankind sitting at the right hand of power and coming on the clouds of heaven."

²³ Now I am invoking God as a witness on my soul, that to spare you, I came no longer to Corinth."

¹⁶ For men are swearing by a greater, and to them an oath for confirmation is an end of all contradiction, ¹⁷ in which God, intending more superabundantly to exhibit to the enjoyers of the allotment of the promise the immutability of His counsel, interposes with an oath,

¹² Now before all, my brethren, do not be swearing, neither by heaven, nor by the earth, nor any other oath. Now let your "yesbe "yes,and "nobe "no,lest you should be falling under judging."

³ And blessing is the Elohim the seventh day, and hallowing it, for in it He ceases from all His work, which the Elohim creates to make.

²³ then he said to them: This is what Yahweh has spoken, A cessation, a holy sabbath to Yahweh is tomorrow. What you are baking, bake, and what you are cooking, cook, and all the superfluity, leave it in your charge until the morning. " ²⁴ So they left it until the morning, just as Moses had instructed, yet it caused no stink, and no maggots came to be in it. ²⁵ Then Moses said: Eat it today, for there is a sabbath today to Yahweh! Today you shall not find it in the field. ²⁶ Six days shall you pick it up, yet on the seventh day, the sabbath, none shall come to be on it. ²⁷ And it came to be on the seventh day some of the people went forth to pick it up, and they found none. ²⁸ Hence Yahweh said to Moses: How long will you refuse to observe My instructions and My laws? ²⁹ See! For Yahweh, He has given to you the sabbath; therefore He is giving to you on the sixth day bread for two days. Be seated, each man in his place; let no one go forth from his place on the seventh day. ³⁰ So the people ceased on the seventh day.

¹² Six days shall you do your tasks, and on the seventh day you shall cease, that your bull and your donkey may rest, and the son of your maidservant and the sojourner be refreshed.

¹³ Now you, speak to the sons of Israel saying, Surely, My sabbaths shall you keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations to know that I, Yahweh, am hallowing you. ¹⁴ Hence you will keep the sabbath, for it is holy to you. Profaners of it shall be put to death, yea death, for if anyone is doing work in it, that soul will be cut off from among his people. ¹⁵ Six days shall work be done, and on the seventh day is a sabbath of cessation, holy to Yahweh. Everyone doing work on the sabbath day shall be put to death, yea death. ¹⁶ Hence the sons of Israel will keep the sabbath so as to make the sabbath an eonian covenant throughout their generations.

³ Each of you shall fear his mother and his father, and observe My sabbaths:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

³⁰ Instead, My sabbaths shall you observe, and My sanctuary shall you fear:I am Yahweh.

³ Six days shall work be done, yet on the seventh day there shall be a sabbath of cessation, a holy meeting. You shall do no work at all. This is a sabbath to Yahweh in all your dwellings.

² Instead My sabbaths shall you observe, and My sanctuary shall you fear:I am Yahweh.

⁴ For thus says Yahweh, "To the eunuchs who will keep `My sabbaths, and choose that in which I delight, and hold fast to My covenant, ⁵ then I give to them, in My house and in My walls, an acclaiming hand, and a name better than sons and daughters. A name eonian will I give to them, which shall not be cut off." ⁶ And the sons of the foreigner obligated to Yahweh to minister to Him, and to love the name of Yahweh, to become His servants, and everyone keeping from violating My sabbath, and holding fast My covenant,

²¹ Six days shall you serve, and in the seventh day you shall cease; in plowing time and in harvest shall you cease.

² Six days shall work be done, yet on the seventh day you shall come to have a holy sabbath of cessation to Yahweh. Everyone doing work on it shall be put to death.

¹⁴ Now answering, the chief of the synagogue, resenting that Jesus cures on the sabbath, said to the throng that "Six days are there on which one must be working; on them, then, coming, be cured, and not on the sabbath day."

² And finishing is the Elohim, on the sixth day, His work which He does. And ceasing is He on the seventh day from all His work which He does. ³ And blessing is the Elohim the seventh day, and hallowing it, for in it He ceases from all His work, which the Elohim creates to make.

²⁷ And it came to be on the seventh day some of the people went forth to pick it up, and they found none. ²⁸ Hence Yahweh said to Moses: How long will you refuse to observe My instructions and My laws?

⁹ You shall not oppress a sojourner, for you know the soul of the sojourner, for you came to be sojourners in the land of Egypt. ¹⁰ Six years shall you sow your land, and you will gather its yield; " ¹¹ but in the seventh you shall release it and abandon it, that the needy of your people may eat, and the field animal shall eat their leavings. So shall you do to your vineyard and to your olive trees. ¹² Six days shall you do your tasks, and on the seventh day you shall cease, that your bull and your donkey may rest, and the son of your maidservant and the sojourner be refreshed.

¹³ Now you, speak to the sons of Israel saying, Surely, My sabbaths shall you keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations to know that I, Yahweh, am hallowing you.

³² While the sons of Israel were in the wilderness they found a man gathering together sticks on the sabbath day. ³³ Those finding him gathering the sticks together brought him near to Moses and to Aaron and to the whole congregation. ³⁴ They left him under guard, for it had not been expounded what should be done to him. ³⁵ Yahweh said to Moses:The man shall be put to death, yea death. The whole congregation shall pelt him with stones outside the camp. ³⁶ So the whole congregation brought him forth to outside the camp and pelted him with stones, so that he died just as Yahweh had instructed Moses.

¹⁴ yet the seventh day is a sabbath to Yahweh your Elohim. You shall not do any work on it; you, your son or your daughter, your servant or your maidservant, your bull, your donkey or any domestic beast of yours, or your sojourner who is within your gates, that your servant and your maidservant may rest as you do. ¹⁵ Remember that you had become a servant in the country of Egypt, and Yahweh your Elohim brought you forth from there with a steadfast hand and with an outstretched arm. Therefore Yahweh your Elohim instructed you to observe the sabbath day.

¹¹ You will rejoice before Yahweh your Elohim, you, your son and your daughter, your servant and your maidservant, the Levite who is within your gates, the sojourner, the orphan and the widow who are among you, in the place where Yahweh your Elohim shall choose to tabernacle His name. ¹² Remember that you had become a servant in the country of Egypt; hence observe and obey these statutes.

¹⁴ You shall not extort from a humble and needy hireling, whether from your brothers or from your sojourner who is in your land, within your gates. ¹⁵ On his day you shall give him his hire, and the sun shall not set on it ( for he is humble, and to it he is lifting his soul) that he may not call against you to Yahweh, and it would become a sin on your part. ¹⁶ Fathers shall not be put to death on account of their sons' sins, nor shall sons be put to death on account of their fathers' sins. Each man shall be put to death for his own sin. ¹⁷ You shall not turn aside the judgment of the sojourner or orphan; and you shall not take the garment of a widow as a pledge. ¹⁸ Remember that you had become a servant in Egypt, and Yahweh your Elohim ransomed you from there; therefore I am instructing you to obey this word. ¹⁹ When you reap your harvest in your field and you have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not return to take it in. For the sojourner, for the orphan and for the widow shall it be, so that Yahweh your Elohim may bless you in every work of your hands. ²⁰ When you beat your olive tree, you shalt not go over the foliage after yourself. For the sojourner, for the orphan and for the widow shall it be. ²¹ When you pick the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not clean glean it after yourself. For the sojourner, for the orphan and for the widow shall it be. ²² Remember that you had become a servant in the country of Egypt; therefore I am instructing you to obey this word.

³¹ and the peoples of the land who are bringing in the wares and any corn on the sabbath-day to sell, we receive not of them on the sabbath, and on a holy day, and we leave the seventh year, and usury on every hand.

¹⁵ In those days I have seen in Judah those treading wine-vats on sabbath, and bringing in the sheaves, and lading on the asses, and also, wine, grapes, and figs, and every burden, yea, they are bringing in to Jerusalem on the sabbath-day, and I testify in the day of their selling provision. ¹⁶ And the Tyrians have dwelt in it, bringing in fish, and every ware, and selling on sabbath to the sons of Judah and in Jerusalem. ¹⁷ And I strive with the freemen of Judah, and say to them, `What [is] this evil thing that you are doing, and polluting the sabbath-day? <sup>18</sup> Thus did not your fathers do? and our Elohim brings in on us all this evil, and on this city, and you are adding fierceness on Israel, to pollute the sabbath.. <sup>19</sup> And it comes to pass, when the gates of Jerusalem have been dark before the sabbath, that I speak, and the doors are shut, and I say, that they do not open them till after the sabbath; and of my servants I have stationed at the gates; there does not come in a burden on the sabbath-day. <sup>20</sup> And they lodge--the merchants and sellers of all ware--at the outside of Jerusalem, once or twice, <sup>21</sup> and I testify against them, and say unto them, `Wherefore are you lodging over-against the wall? if you repeat [it], a hand I put forth upon you;' from that time they have not come in on the sabbath.

⁵⁶ Now, returning, they make ready spices and attars. And on the sabbath, indeed, they are quiet, according to the precept."

¹ 1Created by the Elohim were the heavens and the earth. ² Yet the earth became a chaos and vacant, and darkness was on the surface of the submerged chaos. Yet the spirit of the Elohim is vibrating over the surface of the water.

²⁸ And blessing them is the Elohim. And saying to them is the Elohim, "Be fruitful and increase and fill the earth, and subdue it. And sway over the fish of the sea, and over the flyer of the heavens, and over the beast, and over all the earth, and over all life moving on the land.

¹⁷ Between Me and the sons of Israel it shall be a sign for the eon, for in six days Yahweh dealt with the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He ceased and was refreshed.

⁴ In Whose hand are the far depths of the earth, And the pinnacles of the mountains are His;" ⁵ Whose is the sea, for He Himself has made it, And the dry land that His hands have formed." ⁶ Come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before Yahweh, our Maker." ⁷ For He is our Elohim, And we are the people of His pasture And the flock of His hand. Today, if His voice you should hear,

²⁷ And He said to them, "The sabbath came because of mankind, and not mankind because of the sabbath, ²⁸ so that the Son of Mankind is Lord, also, of the sabbath."

⁷ Now on one of the sabbaths, at our having gathered to break bread, Paul argued with them, being about to be off on the morrow. Besides, he prolonged the word unto midnight."

¹⁵ The smiter of his father or his mother shall be put to death, yea death.

¹⁷ The one maledicting his father or his mother shall be put to death, yea death.

³² In the presence of the greyhaired shall you rise and honor the face of the old. You will fear your Elohim:I am Yahweh.

²⁶ I testify against you today by the heavens and the earth, that you shall perish, yea perish quickly off the land where you are crossing over the Jordan to tenant it. You shall not prolong your days on it, for you shall be exterminated, yea exterminated.

⁴⁰ Hence you will observe His statutes and His instructions which I am enjoining on you today, that it may be well with you and your sons after you, and that you may prolong your days on the ground that Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you, all the days.

¹⁶ Glorify your father and your mother, just as Yahweh your Elohim had instructed you, that your days may be prolonged and that it may be well with you on the ground which Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you.

¹⁵ You shall come to have a standard weight equitable and just; you shall come to have an ephah equitable and just, that your days may be prolonged on the ground that Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you.

⁴⁷ For it is not an empty word for you; it means your life, and by this word you may prolong your days on the ground where you are crossing over the Jordan to tenant it.

¹⁹ And Bath-Sheba comes in unto king Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah, and the king rises to meet her, and bows himself to her, and sits on his throne, and places a throne for the mother of the king, and she sits at his right hand.

¹² And Elisha is seeing, and he is crying, `My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and its horsemen;' and he has not seen him again; and he takes hold on his garments, and rends them into two pieces.

⁸ Hear, my son, the admonition of your father, And do not abandon the law of your mother." ⁹ For they are a wreath of grace for your head, And necklaces for your throat."

¹⁶ Length of days are in her right hand, And in her left hand are riches and glory."

⁵ A fool spurns his father's admonition, Yet he who observes correction shall become prudent."

²⁰ He who maledicts his father and his mother, His lamp shall be extinguished at the approach of darkness."

²² Hearken to your father, this one who begot you, And do not despise your mother when she is old." ²³ Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Wisdom and discipline and understanding." ²⁴ The father of a righteous man shall exult, yea unto exultation; He who begets a wise man shall rejoice in him;" ²⁵ Your father and your mother shall rejoice; She who bore you shall exult.

²⁴ He who pillages from his father and his mother And says, This is not transgression, He is partner to the corrupt man."

¹¹ There is a breed of men that maledict their father And do not bless even their mother;

¹⁷ The eye that derides a father And despises the homage due a mother--The ravens of the watercourse shall pick it out, And the vultures shall eat it."

⁶ A son will glorify a father, and a servant his lord. Yet if a Father am I, where is My glory? And if a Lord am I, where is My fear? says Yahweh of hosts to you, the priests who are despising My name. Yet you say, In what way do we despise Your name?

⁴ For God said, 'Honor father and mother,' and, 'He who is saying aught that is evil of father or mother, let him decease in death.'" ⁵ Yet you are saying that 'Whoever may be saying to father or mother, "An approach present is whatsoever you may be benefited by me, ⁶ by no means shall he be honoring his father.' And you invalidate the word of God because of your tradition.

¹⁹ Be honoring father and mother,' and 'You shall be loving your associate as yourself.'"

¹⁰ For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, He who is saying aught that is evil of father or mother, let him decease in death."

¹⁹ With the precepts you are acquainted: You should not be murdering. You should not be committing adultery. You should not be stealing. You should not be testifying falsely. You should not be cheating. 'Be honoring your father and mother.'"

²⁰ With the precepts you are acquainted: You should not be committing adultery. You should not be murdering. You should not be stealing. You should not be testifying falsely. Be honoring your father and your mother."

²¹ to our God and Father, being subject to one another in the fear of Christ."

¹ Children, be obeying your parents, in the Lord, for this is just." ² Honor your father and mother' (which is the first precept with a promise), ³ that it may be becoming well with you, and you should be a long time on the earth."

²⁰ Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing in the Lord."

⁸ And saying is Cain to Abel, his brother, "Go will we to the field. And coming is it, at their coming to be in the field, rising is Cain against Abel, his brother, and killing him. ⁹ And saying is Yahweh Elohim to Cain, "Where is Abel, your brother? "And saying is he, "I do not know. The keeper of my brother am I? ¹⁰ And saying is the Elohim, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground. ¹¹ And now, cursed are you by the ground, which opens its mouth wide to take your brother's blood from your hand. ¹² As you are serving the ground, it will not continue to give its vigor to you. A rover and a wanderer shall you become in the earth. ¹³ And saying is Cain to Yahweh Elohim, "Too great is my depravity to bear. ¹⁴ Behold, drive me do You out today off the surface of the ground, and from Your face shall I be concealed, and become shall I a rover and a wanderer in the earth. And it comes that anyone finding me will kill me. ¹⁵ And saying to him is Yahweh Elohim, "Not so. Anyone killing Cain, sevenfold shall it be avenged. "And placing is Yahweh Elohim a sign for Cain, to avoid anyone finding him smiting him. ¹⁶ And forth is Cain faring from before Yahweh Elohim, and is dwelling in the land of Nod, east of Eden. ¹⁷ And knowing is Cain his wife and she is pregnant and bearing Enoch. And coming is it that he is building a city, and calling is he the name of the city as the name of his son, Enoch. ¹⁸ And born to Enoch is Irad, and Irad generates Mehujael, and Mehujael generates Methusael, and Methusael generates Lamech. ¹⁹ And Lamech is taking for himself two wives, the one named Adah, and the second named Zillah. ²⁰ And Adah is baring Jabal. He becomes the forefather of the tent dweller and the cattleman. ²¹ And the name of his brother is Jubal. He becomes the forefather of all who handle the harp and the shepherd's pipe. ²² And Zillah, moreover, she bears Tubalcain, a forger of every tool of copper and iron. And the sister of Tubalcain is Naamah. ²³ And saying is Lamech to his wives: "Adah and Zillah, hearken to my voice! Wives of Lamech, give ear to my saying! For a man killed I for my injury, and a boy for my welt.

⁵ Yea, and your blood for your souls I will require. From the hand of every living animal will I require it, and from the hand of humanity. From the hand of a man's brother I will require the soul of a human. ⁶ The shedder of the blood of a human, by a human his blood shall be shed, for in the image of the Elohim has He made humanity.

¹⁴ Yet in case a man was planning arrogantly against his associate so as to kill him by craft, from My altar shall you take him to die.

²⁰ When a man smites his servant or his maidservant with a club and he dies under his hand, he shall be avenged, yea avenged;"

²⁹ But if it was a bull given to goring heretofore, and it was testified to its possessor, yet he did not keep it in, and it caused a man or a woman to die, the bull, it shall be stoned, and, moreover, its possessor, he shall be put to death.

²¹ The smiter of a beast shall repay for it, but the smiter of a human shall be put to death.

¹⁶ Yet if he smites him with an iron instrument and he dies, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death, yea death. ¹⁷ And if he smites him with a stone in his hand by which one may die, and he dies, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death, yea death. ¹⁸ Or if he smites him with a wooden instrument in his hand by which one may die, and he dies, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death, yea death. ¹⁹ The redeemer of blood, he shall put the murderer to death; when he comes upon him he shall put him to death. ²⁰ And if he thrusts him in hatred or flings anything at him with malicious intent and he dies, ²¹ or he smites him in enmity with his hand and he dies, the smiter shall be put to death, yea death; he is a murderer. The redeemer of blood shall put the murderer to death when he comes upon him. ²² Yet if in an instant, with no enmity, he thrusts him or flings any article at him with no malicious intent, ²³ or, when not seeing him, he causes any stone by which one may die to fall on him and he dies, yet he was not his enemy and was not seeking his evil, ²⁴ then the congregation will judge between the smiter and the redeemer of blood by these judgments; ²⁵ and the congregation will rescue the manslayer from the hand of the redeemer of blood, and the congregation will restore him to his city of asylum where he had fled. He will dwell in it until the death of the great priest, whom one anointed with the holy oil. ²⁶ Yet if the manslayer goes forth, yea forth beyond the boundary of his city of asylum where he had fle. ²⁷ and the redeemer of blood finds him outside the boundary of his city of asylum, and the redeemer of blood murders the manslayer, there is no bloodguilt on him, ²⁸ for he should dwell in his city of asylum until the death of the great priest. Yet after the death of the great priest the manslayer may return to the land of his holding. ²⁹ These will be for you a statute of judgment throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ³⁰ Everyone smiting a soul to death, at the mouth of witnesses one shall murder the murderer. Yet a single witness shall not assert guilt against a soul to cause him to die. ³¹ Nor shall you take a sheltering ransom for the soul of the murderer, who stands condemned to die; for he shall be put to death, yea death. ³² And no sheltering ransom shall you take for one who had fled to his city of asylum only to return to dwell in the land before the death of the great priest. ³³ You shall not pollute the land in which you are dwelling; for it is the blood that pollutes the land. As for the land, no shelter may be made for the blood which was shed on it save by the blood of him who shed it. ³⁴ You shall not defile the land in which you are dwelling, in whose midst I am tabernacling, for I, Yahweh, am tabernacling in the midst of the sons of Israel.

¹⁷ You shall not murder.

¹¹ But if a man is hating his associate, and he waits in ambush for him, rises against him and smites his soul so that he dies, and he flees to one of these cities, ¹² then the elders of his city will send for him, take him from there and give him into the hand of the redeemer of blood so that he may die. ¹³ Your eye shall not commiserate over him. Thus you will eradicate from Israel the shedding of innocent blood, and it will be well with you.

⁹ `Wherefore have you despised the word of Yahweh, to do the evil thing in His eyes? Uriah the Hittite you have smitten by the sword, and his wife you have taken to you for a wife, and him you have slain by the sword of the Bene-Ammon. <sup>10</sup> `And now, the sword does not turn aside from your house unto the eon, because you have despised Me, and do take the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be to you for a wife;"

¹⁶ And also, innocent blood has Manasseh shed very much, till that he has filled Jerusalem--mouth to mouth; apart from his sin that he has caused Judah to sin, to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh.

²² and Joash the king has not remembered the kindness that Jehoiada his father did with him, and slays his son, and in his death he said, `Yahweh does see, and require..

⁸ He sits in ambush in the hamlets; In places of concealment he kills the innocent; His eyes lurk for the pauper. ⁹ He waits in ambush in concealment like a lion in its covert; He waits in ambush to kidnap the humble; He kidnaps the humble by drawing him into his net. ¹⁰ The distressed one is crushed and bows down, And the army of paupers falls prey to his staunch ones. ¹¹ He says in his heart, El has forgotten; He has concealed His face; He will not see at all, permanently.

¹¹ If they say, Do walk with us, Let us wait in ambush for blood, Let us lurk gratuitously for the innocent,

¹⁸ Yet they themselves wait in ambush for their own blood; They lurk for their own souls.

²¹ For, behold Yahweh faring forth from His holy place to visit the depravity of the earth's dweller upon it. And its blood is exposed by the earth, and no longer shall it cover over its killed."

¹⁵ Only, know you certainly, that if you are putting me to death, surely innocent blood you are putting on yourselves, and on this city, and on its inhabitants; for truly has Yahweh sent me unto you to speak in your ears all these words.'"

²¹ You hear that it was declared to the ancients, 'You shall not murder.' Yet whoever should be murdering shall be liable to the judging ²² Yet I am saying to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be liable to the judging. Yet whoever may be saying to his brother, 'Raka!' shall be liable to the Sanhedrin. Yet whoever may be saying, 'Stupid!' shall be liable to the Gehenna of fire.

¹⁸ He is saying to Him, "Which?Now Jesus said, "These: 'You shall not be murdering.' 'You shall not be committing adultery.' 'You shall not be stealing.' 'You shall not be testifying falsely.'"

⁴ Now, as the barbarians perceived the wild beast hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "Undoubtedly this man is a murderer, whom, being safely through out of the sea, Justice lets not live."

⁹ For this: "You shall not commit adultery,you shall not murder,you shall not steal,you shall not testify falsely,you shall not covet,and if there is any other precept, it is summed up in this saying, in this: "You shall love your associate as yourself."

²¹ envies, murders, drunkennesses, revelries, and the like of these, which, I am predicting to you, according as I predicted also, that those committing such things shall not be enjoying the allotment of the kingdom of God."

⁹ being aware of this, that law is not laid down for the just, yet it is for the lawless and insubordinate, the irreverent and sinners, the malign and profane, thrashers of fathers and thrashers of mothers, homicides,

¹¹ For He Who is saying, You should not be committing adultery, said, You should not be murdering, also. Now if you are not committing adultery, yet are murdering, you have become a transgressor of law."

¹³ For the judging is merciless to him who does not exercise mercy. Vaunting is mercy against judging.

¹² that we may be loving one another, not according as Cain was of the wicked one and slays his brother. And on behalf of what does he slay him? Seeing that his acts were wicked, yet those of his brother, just." ¹³ Marvel not, brethren, if the world is hating you." ¹⁴ We are aware that we have proceeded out of death into life, for we are loving our brethren. He who is not loving is remaining in death." ¹⁵ Everyone who is hating his brother is a man-killer, and you are aware that no man-killer at all has life eonian remaining in him."

²⁰ And to the wife of your companion you shall not give your emission of semen, to be unclean with her.

¹⁰ As for a man who commits adultery with another man's wife--one who commits adultery with his associate's wife--the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death, yea death.

¹⁸ You shall not commit adultery.

⁴ And David sends messengers, and takes her, and she comes unto him, and he lies with her--and she is purifying herself from her uncleanness--and she turns back unto her house;" ⁵ and the woman conceives, and sends, and declares to David, and said, `I [am] conceiving..

²⁷ and the mourning passes by, and David sends and gathers her unto his house, and she is to him for a wife, and bears to him a son; and the thing which David has done is evil in the eyes of Yahweh.

¹⁵ Whose paths are perverse, And who are devious in their routes." ¹⁶ This will also rescue you from the strange woman, Or from the foreign woman who makes her words slick, ¹⁷ Who forsakes the mentor of her youth, And who forgets the covenant of her Elohim." ¹⁸ For she slips down to death with her house And her routes to the Rephaim;

²⁴ To keep you from the evil woman, From the slick tongue of the foreign woman." ²⁵ Do not covet after her loveliness in your heart, And do not let her captivate you with her eyelids." ²⁶ For a woman of prostitution hunts for a cake of bread, Yet the adulterous wife of a man hunts the precious soul." ²⁷ Can a man bank a fire in his bosom And his garments not be burned? ²⁸ Or can a man walk on embers And his feet not be scorched? ²⁹ So is he who comes to the wife of his associate; Anyone who touches her shall not be held innocent. ³⁰ Men do not despise a thief when he steals In order to fill his soul's needs when he is famishing, ³¹ Yet when he is found, he shall repay sevenfold Though he must give up all the wealth of his house." ³² But he who commits adultery with another's wife has lack of heart wisdom; He is causing ruin to his soul who does it. ³³ Contagion and dishonor shall he find, And his reproach cannot be wiped out;"

¹⁸ Do come, let us satiate ourselves with affection until the morning; Let us make ourselves joyous with love expressions." ¹⁹ For the husband is not in his home; He has gone on his way afar. ²⁰ He took a pouch of silver in his hand, And he shall come back to his home only with the day of full moon." ²¹ She turned him aside with her great influence; With slick words on her lips she induced him. ²² Suddenly he was going after her, Like a bull that comes to the slaughter, Like a calf to the bonds of foolish creatures, ²³ Until an arrow thrusts through his liver, As through a bird that hastened to the snare When it did not know that it was set for its soul." ²⁴ Now then, my sons, hearken to me, And attend to the sayings of my mouth." ²⁵ Do not let your heart swerve to her ways; Do not stray into her tracks. ²⁶ For many are the mortally wounded she has cast down, And plentiful are all those killed by her." ²⁷ Her house is a road to the unseen, One descending to the chambers of death."

⁸ Fed horses--they have been early risers, Each to the wife of his neighbor they neigh." ⁹ For these do I not lay a charge? An affirmation of Yahweh, And on a nation such as this, Does not My soul avenge itself?

²² And taken from them has been a reviling by all the removed of Judah that [are] in Babylon, saying, Yahweh does set you as Zedekiah, and as Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted with fire;" ²³ Because that they have done folly in Israel, and commit adultery with the wives of their neighbors, and speak a word in My name falsely that I have not commanded them, and I [am] He who knows and a witness--an affirmation of Yahweh."

⁵ Then I will come near to you for judgment, and become a hastening witness against the enchanters and against the adulterers, and against those who are swearing in My name to falsehood, and against those extorting the hire of the hireling, and those tyrannizing over the widow and taunting the orphan, and turning aside the sojourner, and do not fear Me, says Yahweh of hosts."

²⁷ "You hear that it was declared, 'You shall not be committing adultery. ²⁸ Yet I am saying to you that every man looking at a woman to lust for her already commits adultery with her in his heart.

¹¹ And He is saying to them, "Whosoever should be dismissing his wife and should be marrying another is committing adultery against her." ¹² And if she, dismissing her husband, should ever be marrying another, she is committing adultery."

² For a woman in wedlock is bound to a living man by law. Yet if the man should be dying, she is exempt from the law of the man." ³ Consequently, then, while the man is living, she will be styled an adulteress if she should be becoming another man's, yet, if the man should be dying, she is free from the law, being no adulteress on becoming another man's."

³ Now, all prostitution and uncleanness or greed - let it not even be named among you, according as is becoming in saints -" ⁴ and vileness and stupid speaking or insinuendo, which are not proper, but rather thanksgiving." ⁵ For this you perceive, knowing that no paramour at all or unclean or greedy person, who is an idolater, has any enjoyment of the allotment in the kingdom of Christ and of God."

⁴ May matrimony be honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, for paramours and adulterers will God be judging."

⁸ Yet the timid, and unbelievers, and the abominable, and murderers, and paramours, and enchanters, and idolaters, and all the false-their part is in the lake burning with fire and sulphur, which is the second death."

¹⁶ He who steals a man whether he sells him or he is found in his hand, he shall be put to death, yea death.

¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying. ² When a soul sins and offends with an offense against Yahweh and dissimulates against his companion in regard to committal or pledge of hand or pillage, or he extorts from his companion, ³ or he finds lost property and dissimulates in regard to it, or swears falsely in one or another of all the things which a human might do sinning by them. ⁴ when it will come to be that he sins and realizes his guilt, then he will restore the pillage which he pillaged, or the extortion which he extorted, or the committal which was committed to him, or the lost which he found, ⁵ or anything about which he swore falsely; he will repay it in its full value and add a fifth of its value to it. To him whose it is shall he give it on the day of his guilt offering. ⁶ He shall bring to the priest as his guilt offering to Yahweh, a flawless ram from the flock, by your appraisal in silver shekels as a guilt offering. ⁷ Thus the priest will make a propitiatory shelter over him before Yahweh, and it will be pardoned him for one or another of all the things which one might do to become guilty in it.

¹¹ You shall not steal nor dissimulate nor deal falsely, each one with his companion.

¹³ You shall not extort from your associate, nor shall you pillage. The wage of a hireling shall not lodge with you until morning.

³⁵ You shall not do iniquity in judgment of standards in measure, in weight or in quantity. ³⁶ Just scales, just stone weights, a just ephah and a just hin shall you come to have:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim Who brought you forth from the land of Egypt. ³⁷ Hence you will observe all My statutes and all My judgments and do them:I am Yahweh.

⁷ In case a man should be found stealing a soul from his brothers of the sons of Israel, and he makes a chattel of him or sells him, then that thief must die. Thus you will eradicate the evil from among you.

¹³ You shall not come to have in your purse a stone and another stone, a large and a small. ¹⁴ You shall not come to have in your house an ephah and another ephah, a large and a small. ¹⁵ You shall come to have a standard weight equitable and just; you shall come to have an ephah equitable and just, that your days may be prolonged on the ground that Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you. ¹⁶ For anyone doing these things, anyone doing iniquity, is an abhorrence to Yahweh your Elohim.

¹⁹ For he has maltreated, he has forsaken the poor; He has pillaged a house which he did not build. ²⁰ For he has not known ease from the craving of his belly; From his coveting, he has not tried to escape. ²¹ There was nothing surviving for him as food. Therefore his good state cannot hope to last. ²² When his affluence is full there shall be distress for him; Every means of misery shall come upon him.

¹³ All precious wealth shall we find, We shall fill our houses with loot, ¹⁴ Let your lot be cast in our midst, There shall be one purse for us all, ¹⁵ My son, do not walk in the way with them; Withhold your foot from their track."

¹ Deceitful scales are an abhorrence to Yahweh, Yet an equitable standard weight is acceptable to Him."

¹⁰ They know not to do correctness (averring is Yahweh), who are treasuring violence and devastation in their citadels."

⁴ Hear this, you who are snuffing up the needy in the morning, and who eradicate the humble of the land, ⁵ saying, when will the new moon pass, that we may retail victuals, and the sabbath, that we may open out the cereal, to make the ephah measure small, and to make the shekel weight great, and to distort the scales by deceit, ⁶ to buy the poor for silver, and the needy for the sake of a pair of sandals? Even the tailings of the cereal we will retail!"

¹⁰ Are there yet in the house of the wicked treasures of wickedness and an ephah of leanness, a menace? ¹¹ Shall I be pure with wicked scales? And with a purse of deceitful standard weights?

³ Both palms are set upon the evil to do it thoroughly:The chief is asking, also the judge, for a repayment, and the great one, he is speaking the woe of his soul. And they are entwining it."

³ And he is saying to me, This is the execration which is faring forth over the surface of the entire land, for every thief, henceforth as death doomed shall be visited with vengeance, and every swearer, henceforth as death doomed shall be visited with vengeance." ⁴ I will bring it forth, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), and it enters into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears in My name falsely, and it lodges in the midst of his house, and it consumes it and its timbers and its stones."

¹⁹ For out of the heart are coming wicked reasonings, murders, adulteries, prostitutions, thefts, false testimonies, calumnies."

¹³ And He is saying to them, "It is written, 'My house a house of prayer shall be called,' yet you are making it a burglars' cave."

¹³ Now he said to them, "Impose nothing more than has been prescribed to you." ¹⁴ Now soldiers also inquired of him, saying, "What should we also be doing?And he said to them, "You should be intimidating no one, neither be blackmailing, and be sufficed with your rations."

⁶ Now this he said, not that he cared concerning the poor, but that he was a thief, having the coffer also, and bore what is cast into it."

¹⁰ nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards; no revilers, no extortioners shall be enjoying the allotment of God's kingdom."

²⁸ Let him who steals by no means still be stealing: yet rather let him be toiling, working with his hands at what is good, that he may have to share with one who has need."

⁶ No one is to be circumventing and overreaching his brother in the matter, because the Lord is the Avenger of all these, according as we said to you before also, and certify,

¹ You shall not carry a futile report; do not set your hand with the wicked to become a malicious witness.

⁶ You shall not turn aside the judgment of your needy in his contention. ⁷ From a false matter you shall be far; and the innocent and the righteous one you must not kill, for I shall not justify the wicked one.

¹⁶ You shall not go about as a defamer among your kinsmen; you shall not stand against the blood of your associate:I am Yahweh.

¹⁵ A single witness shall not rise against a man regarding any depravity or any sin. In any sin which one may sin, the matter shall be confirmed at the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses. ¹⁶ In case a malicious witness should rise against a man asserting his defection, ¹⁷ then the two men who have the contention must stand before Yahweh and before the priests and the judges who shall come to be in those days. ¹⁸ The judges will inquire diligently, and behold, should the false witness assert false testimony against his brother, ¹⁹ then you must do to him just as he schemed to do to his brother. Thus you will eradicate the evil from among you. ²⁰ The remainder shall hearken and fear, and they shall no longer continue to do anything like this evil matter among you. ²¹ Your eye shall not commiserate:soul for soul, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

⁸ for you have conspired all of you against me, and there is none uncovering mine ear about my son's covenanting with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you grieving for me, and uncovering mine ear, that my son has raised up my servant against me, to lie in wait as [at] this day.. ⁹ And answer does Doeg the Edomite, who is set over the servants of Saul, and said, `I have seen the son of Jesse coming in to Nob, unto Ahimelech son of Ahitub, <sup>10</sup> and he asks for him at Yahweh, and provision has given to him, and the sword of Goliath the Philistine has given to him. <sup>11</sup> And the king sends to call Ahimelech son of Ahitub, the priest, and all the house of his father, the priests, who [are] in Nob, and they come all of them unto the king;" <sup>12</sup> and Saul said, `Hear, I pray you, son of Ahitub;' and he said, `Here [am] I, my lord.. <sup>13</sup> And Saul said unto him, `Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, by your giving to him bread and a sword, and to ask for him at Elohim, to rise against me, to lie in wait, as [at] this day?. ¹⁴ And Ahimelech answers the king and said, `And who among all your servants [is] as David--faithful, and son-in-law of the king, and has turned aside unto your council, and is honored in your house? <sup>15</sup> To-day have I begun to ask for him at Elohim? far be it from me! let not the king lay anything against his servant, against any of the house of my father, for your servant has known nothing of all this, less or more.. <sup>16</sup> And the king said, `You do surely die, Ahimelech, you, and all the house of your father.. ¹⁷ And the king said to runners, those standing by him, `Turn round, and put to death the priests of Yahweh, because their hand also [is] with David, and because they have known that he is fleeing, and have not uncovered mine ear;' and the servants of the king have not been willing to put forth their hand to come against the priests of Yahweh. <sup>18</sup> And the king said to Doeg, `Turn round you, and come against the priests;' and Doeg the Edomite turns round, and comes himself against the priests, and puts to death in that day eighty and five men bearing a linen ephod, ¹⁹ and Nob, the city of the priests, he has smitten by the mouth of the sword, from man even unto woman, from infant even unto suckling, and ox, and ass, and sheep, by the mouth of the sword.

¹⁰ and cause two men--sons of worthlessness--to sit over-against him, and they testify of him, saying, You have blessed Elohim and Melech; and they have brought him out, and stoned him, and he dies.. ¹¹ And the men of his city, the elders and the freemen who are dwelling in his city, do as Jezebel has sent unto them, as written in the letters that she sent unto them, ¹² they have proclaimed a fast, and caused Naboth to sit at the head of the people, ¹³ and two men--sons of worthlessness--come in, and sit over-against him, and the men of worthlessness testify of him, even Naboth, before the people, saying, `Naboth blessed Elohim and Melech;' and they take him out to the outside of the city, and stone him with stones, and he dies;"

³ He has not vilified with his tongue; He has done no evil to his associate And has borne no reproach against the one near him.

⁵ The one slandering his associate in secret, I shall efface him. The haughty of eyes and inflated of heart, I shall not endure him." ⁶ My eyes are with the faithful of the land, to dwell with me; He who is going in a flawless way, he shall minister for me." ⁷ One doing deceit shall not dwell within my house; One speaking falsehoods shall not be established in front of my eyes.

¹⁸ He who covers up hatred has false lips, And he who brings forth gossip, he is stupid."

¹³ He who goes about as a defamer reveals secret deliberation, Yet one faithful of spirit covers a confidential matter."

⁵ A false witness shall not be held innocent, And he who breathes out lies shall not escape."

⁵⁹ Now the chief priests and the elders and the whole Sanhedrin sought false testimony against Jesus, so that they should be putting Him to death, ⁶⁰ and they found it not. At many false witnesses approaching, they found it not. Yet subsequently two false witnesses, approaching,

¹³ Besides, they put false witnesses on the stand, who say, "This man does not cease speaking, making declarations against this holy place and the law,

³¹ Let all bitterness and fury and anger and clamor and calumny be taken away from you with all malice,

¹⁰ paramours, sodomites, kidnapers, liars, perjurers, and if any other thing is opposing sound teaching,

³ without natural affection, implacable, adversaries, uncontrollable, fierce, averse to the good,

¹¹ Do not be speaking against one another, brethren. He who is speaking against a brother, or judging his brother, is speaking against law and is judging law. Now if you are judging law, you are not a doer of law, but a judge."

⁶ And seeing is the woman that the tree is good for food, and that it brings a yearning to the eyes, and is to be coveted as the tree to make one intelligent. And taking is she of its fruit and is eating, and she is giving, moreover, to her husband with her, and they are eating."

²³ If it be more than a thread or even a sandal lacing, or if taking am I from anything which is yours, then will you not say, `I enrich Abram'?

²³ Their cattle and their acquisitions and all their beasts, will they not be ours? Yea, in this are we consenting to them, and they will dwell with us.

²¹ and I see among the spoil a goodly robe of Shinar, and two hundred shekels of silver, and one wedge of gold, whose weight [is] fifty shekels, and I desire them, and take them; and lo, they [are] hid in the earth, in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it..

¹⁹ and why have you not hearkened to the voice of Yahweh--and do fly unto the spoil, and do do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh?.

² and it comes to pass, at evening-time, that David rises from off his couch, and walks up and down on the roof of the king's house, and sees from the roof a woman bathing, and the woman [is] of very good appearance, ³ and David sends and inquires about the woman, and said, `Is not this Bath-Sheba, daughter of Eliam, wife of Uriah the Hittite?. ⁴ And David sends messengers, and takes her, and she comes unto him, and he lies with her--and she is purifying herself from her uncleanness--and she turns back unto her house;"

¹ I contracted a covenant with my eyes So how should I wrongly consider a virgin?

⁹ If my heart has been enticed by another's wife, Or I have waited in ambush at my associate's portal,

³ For the wicked one boasts over the lusting of his soul, And the greedy one scorns, Yea, he spurns Yahweh.

³⁶ Stretch out my heart to Your testimonies, And not at all to selfish gain."

²³ More than any guard-post, preserve your heart, For from it spring the outflowings of life."

²⁴ To keep you from the evil woman, From the slick tongue of the foreign woman." ²⁵ Do not covet after her loveliness in your heart, And do not let her captivate you with her eyelids."

⁸ There was one person, but there was no second; There even was no son or brother for him; Also there was no end to all his toil, Yet his eyes were not satisfied with his riches. Then he said, For whom am I toiling And making my soul lack good? This too is vanity, and it is an experience of evil."

¹⁰ One who loves silver is never satisfied with his silver, And one who loves large amounts never has enough income; This too is vanity." ¹¹ When goods increase those who devour them multiply; And what profit are they to their possessor save for the sight of his eyes?

¹⁵ He who goes in righteousness, and speaks equities, who rejects the gain of extortions, who shakes his palms from upholding a bribe, who contracts his ear from hearkening to blood plans, and restrains his eyes from seeing evil--"

¹⁷ At his depravity, for a moment, I was wroth, and I am smiting him. And I conceal My face from him and am wroth when he is going, backsliding in the way of his heart."

⁸ Fed horses--they have been early risers, Each to the wife of his neighbor they neigh."

¹⁷ But your eyes and your heart are not, Except on your dishonest gain, And on shedding of innocent blood, And on oppression, and on doing of violence."

³¹ And they come in unto you as the coming in of a people, And they sit before you--My people, And have heard your words, and they do them not, For doting loves with their mouth they are making, After their dishonest gain their heart is going."

⁶ Thus says Yahweh, Due to three transgressions of Israel, and due to four, I will not turn it back, due to their selling the righteous for silver, and the needy for the sake of a pair of sandals." ⁷ They are gasping to have the soil of the earth on the head of the poor, and the way of the humble are they turning aside, yet a man and his father are going to the same maiden, that they may violate the holy name of their Elohim."

² And they covet fields and snatch them, and houses, and bear them away, and they extort the master and his house, the man and his allotment."

⁹ Woe to him gaining an evil gain for his house in order to place his nest in the height, to be rescued from the clutch of evil!"

²⁸ Yet I am saying to you that every man looking at a woman to lust for her already commits adultery with her in his heart.

¹⁵ Is it not allowed me to do what I want with that which is mine? Or is your eye wicked, seeing that I am good?'"

¹⁵ Now He said to them, "See and guard against all greed, for one's life is not in the superfluity of his possessions."

¹⁴ Now the Pharisees also, inherently fond of money, heard all these things, and they scouted Him."

⁴ Did it not, while remaining, remain yours? And, being disposed of, it belonged to you by right. Why is it that you placed this matter in your heart? You do not lie to men, but to God."

³³ I covet no one's silver or gold or vesture."

⁷ What, then, shall we declare? That the law is sin? May it not be coming to that! But sin I knew not except through law. For besides, I had not been aware of coveting except the law said, "You shall not be coveting."

³ Now, all prostitution and uncleanness or greed - let it not even be named among you, according as is becoming in saints -"

⁵ Deaden, then, your members that are on the earth: prostitution, uncleanness, passion, evil desire and greed, which is idolatry,

⁶ Now devoutness with contentment is great capital; ⁷ for nothing do we carry into the world, and it is evident that neither can we carry anything out." ⁸ Now, having sustenance and shelter, with these we shall be sufficed." ⁹ Now, those intending to be rich are falling into a trial and a trap and the many foolish and harmful desires which are swamping men in extermination and destruction." ¹⁰ For a root of all of the evils is the fondness for money, which some, craving, were led astray from the faith and try themselves on all sides with much pain."

⁵ May fondness for money not be your manner, being sufficed with what is present, for He has declared: Under no circumstances may I be lax regarding you, Neither by any means may I be forsaking you."

¹⁶ It came to be on the third day, at the coming of the morning, that there came to be sounds and flashes and a heavy cloud on the mount, and the sound of a trumpet, exceedingly steadfast. Hence all the people who were in the camp trembled. ¹⁷ Yet Moses brought the people forth from the camp to meet the One, Elohim. So they stationed themselves at the nether part of the mountain. ¹⁸ As for Mount Sinai, all of it smoked in view of the fact that Yahweh descended on it in fire; its smoke ascended as the smoke of a limekiln, and the entire mountain trembled exceedingly.

⁷ Whither could I go from Your spirit, And whither could I run away from Your presence? ⁸ If I should climb to the heavens, You are there, And should I make my berth in the unseen, behold, You are there."

²³ A Elohim near [am] I--an affirmation of Yahweh, And not an Elohim afar off?

¹⁸ For you have not come to that which may be handled and burned with fire, and to murkiness, and gloom, and tornado, and the blare of a trumpet, ¹⁹ and the sound of declarations, which those who hear refuse, that no word be added to them."

³⁰ And calling is Jacob the name of the place Peniel, "for I see the Elohim face to face, and rescued is my soul.

²⁰ He also said: You cannot see My face, for no human shall see Me and live.

⁵ (I was standing between Yahweh and you at that time, to tell you the word of Yahweh, for you were fearful because of the presence of the fire and did not ascend onto the mountain), saying.

²³ Then it came to be, as you heard the voice from the midst of the fire and the darkness, when the mountain was consuming with fire, that you came near to me, all the heads of your tribes and your elders, ²⁴ and you said:Behold, Yahweh our Elohim has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we heard His voice from the midst of the fire. This day we have seen that Elohim speaks with the human and he still lives. ²⁵ Yet now, why should we die? For this great fire shall devour us. If we are continuing to hear the voice of Yahweh our Elohim any further, than we will die. ²⁶ For who is there of all flesh that has heard the voice of the living Elohim speaking from the midst of the fire as we have, and he still lives? ²⁷ As for you, go near and hear all that Yahweh our Elohim says; then you shall speak to us all that Yahweh our Elohim shall speak to you, and we will hearken and obey.

¹⁶ according to all that you asked from Yahweh your Elohim at Horeb on the day of assembly, saying:Let me not continue to hear the voice of Yahweh my Elohim, and let me not see this great fire any further so that I may not die!"

¹⁹ What, then, is the law? On behalf of transgressions was it added, until the Seed should come to Whom He has promised, being prescribed through messengers in the hand of a mediator."

¹⁹ and the sound of declarations, which those who hear refuse, that no word be added to them."

¹¹ And saying is Abraham, "For I feared seeing that I say, `But no fear of the Elohim is in this place, and they will kill me over the matter of my wife..

¹ And it is coming, after these things, that the Elohim probes Abraham and is saying to him, "Abraham! Abraham!"And saying is he, "Behold me!"

¹² And saying is he, "You must not stretch out your hand on the lad, and you must not do aught to him, for now I know that you fear the Elohim, for you have not kept back your son, your only one from Me.

²⁵ So he cried out to Yahweh, and Yahweh directed him to a tree. So he flung it into the waters, and the waters were sweet. There He made for them a statute and a judgment, and there He probed them, ²⁶ for He said: If you shall hearken, yea hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim and do what is upright in His eyes, and give ear to His instructions and observe all His statutes, then all the illnesses which I placed on the Egyptians I shall not place on you, for I am Yahweh your Healer.

¹⁰ the day that you stood before Yahweh your Elohim at Horeb, when Yahweh said to me:Assemble the people to Me that I may let them hear My words, so that they may learn to fear Me all the days that they are alive on the ground and may teach their sons.

² that you may fear Yahweh your Elohim, so as to observe all His statutes and His instructions which I am enjoining on you today, you and your son and your son's son, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

² And remember all the way which Yahweh your Elohim caused you to go these forty years in the wilderness, that He might make you humble, to probe you so as to know what is in your heart, whether or not you shall observe His instructions.

¹² And now, Israel, what is Yahweh your Elohim asking of you, save to fear Yahweh your Elohim, to walk in all His ways, to love Him and to serve Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul,

³ you shall not hearken to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer of dreams because Yahweh your Elohim is probing you to know whether you are loving Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul.

¹⁴ `And now, fear you Yahweh, and serve Him, in perfection and in truth, and turn aside the elohims which your fathers served beyond the River, and in Egypt, and serve you Yahweh;"

²⁰ And Samuel said unto the people, `Fear not; you have done all this evil; only, turn not aside from after Yahweh--and you have served Yahweh with all your heart,

¹⁵ the former governors who [are] before me have made themselves heavy on the people, and take of them in bread and wine, besides in silver forty shekels; also, their servants have ruled over the people--and I have not done so, because of the fear of Elohim.

²⁸ And He said to mankind, Behold, the fear of Yahweh, it is wisdom, And to withdraw from evil is understanding.

⁷ The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; The foolish despise wisdom and discipline.

⁷ Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear Yahweh and withdraw from evil.

⁶ By benignity and faithfulness depravity shall be sheltered, And by the fear of Yahweh a man will withdraw from evil."

¹³ Yahweh of hosts--Him shall you sanctify, and He shall be your fear, and He shall be your terror."

¹⁰ You must not fear, for I am with you, and you must not take heed for yourself, for I am your Elohim. I make you resolute; indeed, I help you. Indeed, I uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.'"

¹⁶ It came to be on the third day, at the coming of the morning, that there came to be sounds and flashes and a heavy cloud on the mount, and the sound of a trumpet, exceedingly steadfast. Hence all the people who were in the camp trembled. ¹⁷ Yet Moses brought the people forth from the camp to meet the One, Elohim. So they stationed themselves at the nether part of the mountain.

¹² Then said Solomon, `Yahweh has said to dwell in thick darkness;"

¹ Then said Solomon, `Yahweh said--to dwell in thick darkness,

⁹ He stretched out the heavens and descended, And murkiness was beneath His feet."

¹² Out of the brightness in front of Him His thick clouds passed With hail and flashing embers of fire.

² Cloud and murkiness are around Him; Righteousness and right judgment are the basis of His throne.

² You are muffled with light as a garment. Stretching out the heavens like a sheet,

¹⁶ Who alone has immortality, making His home in light inaccessible, Whom not one of mankind perceived nor can be perceiving, to Whom be honor and might eonian! Amen!"

¹³ `And on mount Sinai You have come down, even to speak with them from the heavens, and You do give to them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commands.

²⁵ Beware! You should not be refusing Him Who is speaking! For if those escaped not, refusing the One apprizing on earth, much rather we, who are turning from the One from the heavens, ²⁶ Whose voice then shakes the earth. Yet now He has promised, saying, Still once more shall I be quaking, not only the earth, but heaven also."

³ You shall not come to have other elohim in preference to Me. ⁴ You shall not make for yourself a carving nor any representation of that in the heavens above or that on the earth beneath, or that in the waters beneath the earth. ⁵ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor be made to serve them, for I, Yahweh your Elohim, am a jealous El, visiting the depravity of the fathers on the sons, on the third and on the fourth generation, to those hating Me,

¹ The people saw that Moses was tardy to descend from the mountain. So the people assembled themselves against Aaron and said to him: Rise! Make for us elohim who shall go before us, for this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we know not what has become of him. ² Then Aaron said to them: Tear off the pendants of gold which are in the ears of your wives, your sons and your daughters, and bring them to me. ³ So all the people tore off the pendants of gold which were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. ⁴ He took it from their hands and formed it with a stylus and made of it a molten calf. And they said: These are your elohim, Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.

³¹ So Moses returned to Yahweh and said: Oh! this people has sinned a great sin, and they made for themselves an elohim of gold.

⁴ And they rise early in the morning on the morrow, and lo, Dagon is fallen on its face to the earth, before the ark of Yahweh, and the head of Dagon, and the two palms of its hands are cut off at the threshold, only the fishy part has been left to him;" ⁵ therefore the priests of Dagon, and all those coming into the house of Dagon, tread not on the threshold of Dagon, in Ashdod, till this day.

³³ Yahweh they are fearing, and their elohims they are serving, according to the custom of the nations whence they removed them.

³⁹ And you, O house of Israel, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Each his idols--go--serve you, And, afterwards, if you are not hearkening to me, And My holy name you do not pollute any more by your gifts, and by your idols."

⁸ In their putting their threshold with My threshold, And their door-post near My door-post, And the wall between Me and them, And they have defiled My holy name, By their abominations that they have done, And I consume them in Mine anger."

⁴ They drink the turbid wine and laud the elohim of gold, silver, copper, iron, wood, and stone."

²³ Over the Lord, the Eloah of the heavens, you exalt yourself; the vessels of His house they bring hither before you; you and your grandees, your consorts and your concubines are drinking turbid wine from them. Also elohim of silver, gold, copper, iron, wood, and stone who are not perceiving and not hearing and not knowing, these you laud, yet the Eloah in Whose hand is your breath, and for Whom are all your paths, Him you do not honor."

⁵ and those worshiping on the house tops to the host of the heavens, and those worshiping--swearing to Yahweh and swearing by their king,

²¹ You can not drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can not be partaking of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. ²² Or are we provoking the Lord to jealousy? Not stronger that He are we!

¹⁴ Do not become diversely yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness? Or what communion has light with darkness? ¹⁵ Now what agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what part a believer with an unbeliever? ¹⁶ Now what concurrence has a temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, according as God said, that I will be making My home and will be walking in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

¹⁸ Let no one be arbitrating against you, who wants, in humility and the ritual of the messengers, to parade what he has seen, feignedly, puffed up by his fleshly mind, ¹⁹ and not holding the Head, out of Whom the entire body, being supplied and united through the assimilation and ligaments, is growing in the growth of God."

¹⁵ Outside are curs, and enchanters, and paramours, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone fabricating and fondling falsehood."

² And make you will I into a great nation, and bless you will I and make your name great, and become must you a blessing.

¹ He called to Moses, and Yahweh spoke to him from the tent of appointment, saying, ² Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them:When any man among you brings near an approach present to Yahweh, from the domestic beasts (from the herd or from the flock) shall you bring near your approach present. ³ If his ascent approach is from the herd, a flawless male is it which he shall bring near. To the opening of the tent of appointment shall he bring it near for acceptance on his behalf before Yahweh. ⁴ He will support his hand on the head of the ascent offering so that it will be accepted for him to make a propitiatory shelter over him. ⁵ Then he will slay the bull calf of the herd before Yahweh; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will bring near the blood and sprinkle the blood against the altar round about which is at the opening of the tent of appointment. ⁶ Then he will flay the ascent offering and piece it into its pieces, ⁷ while the sons of Aaron, the priests, put fire on the altar and arrange the wood on the fire. ⁸ The sons of Aaron, the priests, will arrange the pieces with the head and the suet over the wood on the fire which is on the altar, ⁹ while he shall wash its inwards and its shanks in water. Then the priest will cause the whole to fume on the altar. It is an ascent offering, a fire offering of fragrant odor to Yahweh. ¹⁰ If his approach present is from the flock (from the sheep or from the goats) for an ascent offering, a flawless male is it which he shall bring near. ¹¹ Then he will slay it on the flank of the altar northward before Yahweh; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will sprinkle its blood against the altar round about. ¹² He will piece it into its pieces with its head and its suet; and the priest will arrange them over the wood on the fire which is on the altar; ¹³ and he shall wash the inwards and the shanks in water. Then the priest will bring near the whole and cause it to fume on the altar. It is an ascent offering, a fire offering of fragrant odor to Yahweh. ¹⁴ If his ascent offering to Yahweh is from the flyer then he will bring near turtledoves or dove squabs as his approach present. ¹⁵ The priest will bring it near to the altar and pinch off its head and cause it to fume on the altar; yet its blood will be wrung out against the sidewall of the altar. ¹⁶ Then he will take away its craw with its filthy contents and fling it beside the altar eastward at the place for the greasy ash. ¹⁷ He will cleave it at its wings yet shall not separate it. Then the priest will cause it to fume on the altar over the wood which is on the fire. It is an ascent offering, a fire offering of fragrant odor to Yahweh.

¹ If his approach present is a sacrifice of peace offerings, if from the herd he is bringing it near, whether male or female, a flawless one is it which he shall bring near before Yahweh. ² He will support his hand on the head of his approach present and slay it at the opening of the tent of appointment. And the sons of Aaron, the priests, will sprinkle the blood against the altar round about. ³ Then he will bring near from the sacrifice of peace offerings a fire offering to Yahweh:the fat covering the inwards and all the fat which is on the inwards, ⁴ the two kidneys and the fat which is around them at the hips, and the protuberance on the liver; along with the kidneys shall he take it away. ⁵ Then the sons of Aaron will cause it to fume on the altar, on top of the ascent offering over the wood which is on the fire; it is a fire offering of fragrant odor to Yahweh. ⁶ If his approach present for a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh is from the flock, male or female, a flawless one is it which he shall bring near. ⁷ If it is a sheep he is bringing near as his approach present then he shall bring it near before Yahweh ⁸ and support his hand on the head of his approach present and slay it before the opening of the tent of appointment; and the sons of Aaron will sprinkle its blood against the altar round about. ⁹ Then he will bring near from the sacrifice of peace offerings a fire offering to Yahweh:its fat, the flawless fat tail, cut off close to the spine, shall he take it away; also the fat covering the inwards and all the fat which is on the inwards, ¹⁰ the two kidneys and the fat which is around them at the hips, and the protuberance on the liver; along with the kidneys shall he take it away. ¹¹ Then the priest will cause it to fume on the altar. It is the bread of the fire offering to Yahweh. ¹² If his approach present is a goat then he will bring it near before Yahweh ¹³ and support his hand on its head and slay it before the tent of appointment; and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will sprinkle its blood against the altar round about. ¹⁴ Then he will bring near some of it as his fire approach to Yahweh:the fat covering the inwards and all the fat which is on the inwards, ¹⁵ the two kidneys and the fat which is around them, at the hips, and the protuberance on the liver; along with the kidneys shall he take it away. ¹⁶ Then the priest will cause them to fume on the altar. It is the bread of the fire offering for a fragrant odor to Yahweh. All the fat shall be for Yahweh. ¹⁷ It shall be an eonian statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings; any fat or any blood you shall not eat.

²⁴ May Yahweh bless you and keep you; ²⁵ may Yahweh light up His face toward you and be gracious to you; ²⁶ may Yahweh lift His face to you and appoint peace for you. ²⁷ Thus they will place My name over the sons of Israel and I Myself shall bless them.

¹³ He will love you and bless you; He will multiply you and bless the fruit of your belly and the fruit of your ground, your grain, your grape juice, and your clarified oil, the calving of your domestic animals and the lambing of your flock, on the ground about which Yahweh had sworn to your fathers to give to you.

⁵ But rather for the place that Yahweh your Elohim shall choose from all your tribes, to establish His name there, you shall inquire for His tabernacle, and there will you come.

¹¹ then it will come to be:the place where Yahweh your Elohim shall choose to tabernacle His name, there shall you bring all that I am instructing you, your ascent offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand and all your choice vow offerings which you shall vow to Yahweh.

²¹ In case the place where Yahweh your Elohim shall choose to place His name is far from you, then you may sacrifice of your herd and of your flock which Yahweh gave to you, just as I instructed you; and you may eat it within your gates with all the yearning of your soul.

²³ You will eat before Yahweh your Elohim, in the place where Yahweh your Elohim shall choose to tabernacle His name, the tenth of your grain, your grape juice and your clarified oil, the firstlings of your herd and of your flock, that you may learn to fear Yahweh your Elohim all the days.

⁵ You cannot sacrifice the passover within any one of your gates which Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you, ⁶ but rather only in the place that Yahweh your Elohim shall choose to tabernacle His name. There shall you sacrifice the passover in the evening as the sun sets, the appointed time of your going forth from Egypt.

¹¹ You will rejoice before Yahweh your Elohim, you, your son and your daughter, your servant and your maidservant, the Levite who is within your gates, the sojourner, the orphan and the widow who are among you, in the place where Yahweh your Elohim shall choose to tabernacle His name.

² that you will take from the first of all the fruit of the ground which you shall bring in from your land that Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you, and you will place it in a basket and go to the place where Yahweh your Elohim shall choose to tabernacle His name.

¹² And it is declared to king David, saying, `Yahweh has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that he has, because of the ark of Elohim;' and David goes and brings up the ark of Elohim from the house of Obed-Edom to the city of David with joy.

²⁹ for Your eyes being open towards this house night and day, towards the place of which You have said, My Name is there; to hearken unto the prayer which Your servant prays towards this place.

⁴³ You do hear in the heavens, the settled place of Your dwelling, and have done according to all that the stranger calls unto You for, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know Your name, to fear You like Your people Israel, and to know that Your name has been called on this house which I have builded.

³ and Yahweh said unto him, `I have heard your prayer and your supplication with which you have made supplication before Me; I have hallowed this house that you have built to put My name there--unto the eon, and Mine eyes and My heart have been there all the days.

⁶ and I fix on Jerusalem for My name being there, and I fix on David to be over My people Israel.

¹⁶ and now, I have chosen and sanctified this house for My name being there unto the eon; yea, Mine eyes and My heart have been there all the days.

¹³ And king Rehoboam strengthens himself in Jerusalem, and reigns; for a son of forty and two years [is] Rehoboam in his reigning, and seventeen years he has reigned in Jerusalem, the city that Yahweh has chosen to put His name there, out of all the tribes of Israel, and the name of his mother [is] Naamah the Ammonitess,

¹² May Eloah Who made His Name tabernacle there, overturn any king or people that stretches out his hand to disobey this rescript by harming this House of Eloah in Jerusalem. I, Darius, have promulgated the decree. Let it be carried out thoroughly.

⁹ and you have turned back unto Me, and kept My commands, and done them--if your outcast is in the end of the heavens, thence I gather them, and have brought them in unto the place that I have chosen to cause My name to tabernacle there.

⁷ They send up Your Sanctuary in fire; Down to the earth they profane the Tabernacle of Your Name.

² His covert is in Salem And His habitation in Zion.

⁶⁸ Yet He chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion, which He loves;"

⁵ May Yahweh bless you from Zion; Thus see the goodness of Jerusalem All the days of your life,

¹³ For Yahweh has chosen Zion; He yearns for it as His dwelling place: ¹⁴ This is My resting place unto the future; Here shall I dwell, for I yearn for it."

³ May Yahweh bless you from Zion, Maker of the heavens and earth."

¹⁰ And you have come in and stood before Me, In this house on which My name is called, And have said, `We have been delivered,' In order to do all these abominations." ¹¹ A den of burglars has this house, On which My name is called, been in your eyes? Even I, lo, I have seen, an affirmation of Yahweh." ¹² But go you, I pray you, Unto My place that [is] in Shiloh, Where I caused My name to dwell at first, And see that which I have done to it, For the wickedness of My people Israel."

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun unto its setting, great is My name among the nations, and in every place incense is being brought close for My name, and a clean approach present. For My name is great among the nations, says Yahweh of hosts."

²⁰ For where two or three are, gathered in My name, there am I in the midst of them."

²⁰ teaching them to be keeping all, whatever I direct you. And lo! I am with you all the days till the conclusion of the eon! Amen!"

²⁰ Our fathers worship in this mountain, and you say that in Jerusalem is the place where one must worship." ²¹ Jesus is saying to her, "Believe Me, woman, that, coming is an hour when neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem shall you be worshiping the Father." ²² You are worshiping that of which you are not aware; we are worshiping that of which we are aware, for salvation is of the Jews." ²³ But coming is the hour, and now is, when the true worshipers will be worshiping the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father also is seeking such to be worshiping Him." ²⁴ God is spirit, and those who are worshiping Him must be worshiping in spirit and truth."

⁸ I am intending, then, that men pray in every place, lifting up benign hands, apart from anger and reasoning."

⁵ When you build there an altar for Yahweh your Elohim, an altar of stones, you shall not swing an iron tool over them. ⁶ You shall build the altar of Yahweh your Elohim with suitable stones, and you will bring up ascent offerings on it to Yahweh your Elohim.

³¹ as Moses, servant of Yahweh, commanded the sons of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses--an altar of whole stones, over which he has not waved iron--and they cause to go up upon it burnt-offerings to Yahweh, and sacrifice peace-offerings;"

³ Then Moses said to Aaron:That is what Yahweh spoke of, saying:Among those near Me shall I be hallowed, and in the presence of all the people shall I be glorified. Aaron was still;"

⁷ El is greatly terrifying among the council of the saints, And fear inspiring to all those round about Him."

¹ Guard your feet when you go to the house of Elohim; To go near to hear is better than that the stupid should offer sacrifice, For they know nothing but to do evil."

²⁸ Wherefore, accepting an unshakable kingdom, we may have grace through which we may be offering divine service in a way well pleasing to God, with piety and dread, ²⁹ for our God is also a consuming fire.

¹⁶ because it is written that, Holy shall you be, for I am holy."
