¹¹ And cause it to stand on its coals empty, So that its brass is hot and burning, Melted has been in its midst its uncleanness, Consumed is its scum."

²⁵ And I will restore My hand on you, and refine, so as to purify you from your dross. And the rebellious will I destroy, and take away all your tin alloy."

⁴ If Yahweh washes the filth of the daughters of Zion, and the blood of Jerusalem be expelled from within it, by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of consumption,

⁹ Wherefore, in this will be a propitiatory shelter for the depravity of the house of Jacob, and this is My propitiatory shelter, to take away his sin. When he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones shattered, the fetishes of happiness and warmed horn altars will not rise."

¹⁰ For I have set My face against this city for evil, And not for good--an affirmation of Yahweh. Into the hand of the king of Babylon it is given, And he has burned it with fire."

²⁹ And come in have the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city, and they have set this city on fire, and have burned it, and the houses on whose roofs they made perfume to Baal, and poured out libations to other elohims, so as to provoke Me to anger."

¹⁰ for though you had smitten all the force of the Chaldeans who are fighting with you, and there were left of them wounded men--each in his tent--they rise, and have burnt this city with fire.'"

¹⁸ And if you do not go forth unto the heads of the king of Babylon, then has this city been given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they have burnt it with fire, and you do not escape from their hand.'"

⁸ And the house of the king, and the house of the people, have the Chaldeans burnt with fire, and the walls of Jerusalem they have broken down."

¹³ and he burns the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house he has burned with fire,

³⁸ And cleared out from you the rebels, And them transgressing against Me, From the land of their sojournings I bring them out, And unto the land of Israel they come not, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh."

¹⁵ And I have scattered you among nations, And have spread you out among lands, And consumed your uncleanness out of you." ¹⁶ And you have been polluted in yourself Before the eyes of nations, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh.'" ¹⁷ And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, `Son of man, ¹⁸ The house of Israel has been to Me for dross, All of them [are] brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, In the midst of a furnace--dross has silver been, ¹⁹ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because of your all becoming dross, Therefore, lo, I am gathering you unto the midst of Jerusalem, ²⁰ A gathering of silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, Unto the midst of a furnace--to blow on it fire, to melt it, So do I gather in Mine anger and in My fury, And I have let rest, and have melted you." ²¹ And I have heaped you up, And blown on you in the fire of My wrath, And you have been melted in its midst." ²² As the melting of silver in the midst of a furnace, So are you melted in its midst, And you have known that I, Yahweh, I have poured out My fury upon you.'" ²³ And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying:"

²⁶ And they have stripped you of your garments, And have taken your beauteous jewels." ²⁷ And I have caused your wickedness to cease from you, And your whoredoms out of the land of Egypt, And you lift not up your eyes unto them, And Egypt you do not remember again."

⁴⁷ And they have cast at them the stone of the assembly, And cut them with their swords, Their sons and their daughters they do slay, And their houses with fire they burn." ⁴⁸ And I have caused wickedness to cease from the land, And instructed have been all the women, And they do not according to your wickedness."

²⁵ And I have sprinkled over you clean water, And you have been clean; From all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols, I do cleanse you."

¹¹ I cut off the cities of your land and demolish all your fortresses. ¹² I cut off enchantments from your hand, and cloud consulters shall not be among you." ¹³ I cut off carvings, and your monuments within your midst, and no longer shall you worship the work of your hands." ¹⁴ I pluck up your fetishes of happiness within your midst, and I exterminate your cities,

¹ In that day there shall come to be a fountain opened for the house of David, and for the dwellers of Jerusalem, for sin and for isolation." ² And it shall come to be in that day, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), I will cut off the names of grief fetishes from the land, and they shall no longer be remembered. And, moreover, I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass from the land."

⁸ And it shall come to be that in all the land, (averring is Yahweh), two divisions in it shall be cut off and shall expire. Yet the third shall be left in it." ⁹ And I will bring the third into the fire. And I will refine them as silver is refined. And I will test them as gold is tested. It shall call in My name, and I will answer it. I will say, My people is it. And it will say, Yahweh is my Elohim."

¹ For behold! The day of Yahweh is coming, consuming as a stove, and it devours them. And all the arrogant and all doing wickedness become straw. And the coming day sets them aflame, says Yahweh of hosts, which will not leave to them root or bough."

¹² Whose winnowing shovel is in His hand, and He will be scouring His threshing floor, and will be gathering His grain into His barn, yet the chaff will He be burning up with unextinguished fire."

¹² Now if anyone is building on this foundation gold and silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw, ¹³ each one's work will become apparent, for the day will make it evident, for it is being revealed by fire. And the fire, it will be testing each one's work - what kind it is."
