¹ And continuing is Abraham, and taking is he a wife, and her name is Keturah. ² And bearing is she for him Zimran and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuch. ³ And Jokshan generates Sheba, and Thumun and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan come to be Raguel and Nabdeel and Ashurim, and Letushim, and Leummim. ⁴ And the sons of Midian are Ephah and Apher and Enoch and Abida and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah. ⁵ And giving is Abraham all which is his to his son Isaac. ⁶ And to the sons of the concubines which are Abraham's, Abraham gives gifts. And sending them is he away from Isaac, his son, while he is still living, eastward to the land of the East. ⁷ And these are the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lives--a hundred and seventy five years. ⁸ And expiring is Abraham, and dying in a good grey-haired age, old and satisfied with days. And gathered is he to his people. ⁹ And entombing him are his sons, Isaac and Ishmael, in the double cave in the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar, the Hittite, which is adjoining Mamre, ¹⁰ the field and the cave which Abraham bought from the sons of Heth. There is made a tomb for Abraham, and Sarah, his wife. ¹¹ And coming is it, after the death of Abraham, that the Elohim is blessing Isaac, his son. And dwelling is Isaac by the well Lehi-rai. ¹² And these are the genealogical annals of Ishmael, son of Abraham, whom Hagar, the Egyptian, Sarah's maid, bore for Abraham. ¹³ And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, for their genealogical annals: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; and Kedar and Adbeel and Mibsa. ¹⁴ and Mishma and Dumah and Massa ¹⁵ and Chador and Tema and Jetur and Naphish and Kedemah. ¹⁶ These, they are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, in their environs and in their domiciles--twelve princes for their clans. ¹⁷ And these are the years of the life of Ishmael: a hundred and thirty seven years. And expiring is he, and died, and is gathered to his people. ¹⁸ And tabernacling are they from Havilah unto Shur, which is adjoining Egypt, as you come to Assyria. It falls to him to be adjoining all his brothers. ¹⁹ And these are the genealogical annals of Isaac, son of Abraham: Abraham begets Isaac. ²⁰ And coming is Isaac to be forty years of age at his taking Rebecca, the daughter of Bethuel, the Syrian of Padan, Syria, the sister of Laban the Syrian, for his wife. ²¹ And Isaac is entreating Yahweh for the invigorating of Rebecca, his wife, for barren is she. And Yahweh is being entreated by him, and pregnant is Rebecca, his wife. ²² And bruising themselves are the sons within her. And saying is she, "Should it be so? Why have I this?And going is she to inquire of Yahweh. ²³ And saying is Yahweh to her, "Two nations are in your belly, and two folkstems shall be parted from your bowels. And one folkstem shall be more resolute than the other folkstem. And the greater shall serve the inferior. ²⁴ And fulfilled are the days of her bearing. And behold! Twins are in her belly. ²⁵ And forth is faring the first, ruddy, all of him as a fur robe of hair. And calling are they his name Esau. ²⁶ And afterward his brother fares forth. And his hand is holding the heel of Esau. And calling are they his name Jacob. And Isaac is sixty years of age when Rebecca bears them. ²⁷ And growing up are the lads. And becoming is Esau a man, a knowing hunter, a man of the field. Yet Jacob is a flawless man, dwelling in tents. ²⁸ And loving is Isaac Esau for his game is in his mouth. Yet Rebecca is loving Jacob. ²⁹ And stewing is Jacob a stew. And coming is Esau from the field and is faint. ³⁰ And saying is Esau to Jacob, "Glut me, pray, with the red-- this red stew, for faint am I.Therefore called is his name Edom also. ³¹ And saying is Jacob to Esau, "Sell, as of today, your birthright to me. ³² And saying is Esau, "Behold! I am going to die, and what is this birthright to me? ³³ And saying is Jacob to him, "Swear to me as of today.And swearing is he to him. And selling is Esau his birthright to Jacob. ³⁴ And Jacob gives Esau bread and stewed lentils. And eating is he and drinking, and rising and going. And despising is Esau the birthright.

¹ And coming is the life of Sarah to be a hundred and twenty seven years--the years of the life of Sarah. ² And dying is Sarah in the town of Arba, in the vale. (It is Hebron, in the land of Canaan.) And coming is Abraham to wail over Sarah and to lament for her.

¹ And calling is Isaac to Jacob, and is blessing him and instructing him. And saying is he to him, "Not take shall you a wife from the daughters of Canaan.

³² And sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine:she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And sons of Jokshan:Sheba and Dedan. ³³ And sons of Midian:Ephah and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah; all these [are] sons of Keturah.

³⁵ And Husham died. And reigning in his stead is Hadad, son of Bedad who smote Midian in the field of Moab. And the name of his city is Avith.

²⁸ And passing are mortals, Midianites, merchants. And drawing are they and bringing up Joseph from the cistern, and are selling Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty silverlings. And bringing are they Joseph to Egypt.

³⁶ And the Midianites sell Joseph to Egypt, to Potiphar, a eunuch of Pharaoh, chief of the executioners.

¹⁵ When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he sought to kill Moses. So Moses ran away from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian, where he sat by the well. ¹⁶ Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came, drew out water and filled the troughs to let their father's flock drink.

¹ Jethro, the priest of Midian, father-in-law of Moses, heard of all that Elohim had done for Moses and for Israel, His people, when Yahweh had brought Israel forth from Egypt. ² Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses, took Zipporah, the wife of Moses, to him after her dismissal, ³ and her two sons, of whom the name of one was Gershom, (for he said: A sojourner became I in a foreign land). ⁴ And the name of the other one was Eliezer: (for the Elohim of my father is my Helper, and He rescued me from the sword of Pharaoh).

⁴ Moab said to the elders of Midian:Now this assembly shall lick up all around us like a bull licks up the green grass of the field. So Balak son of Zippor who was king of Moab at that time

¹⁷ Distress the Midianites and smite them, ¹⁸ for they were distressing you in their plots which they plotted against you over the matter of Peor and over the matter of their sister Cozbi, daughter of a prince of Midian, who was smitten on the day of the stroke over the matter of Peor.

² Avenge the sons of Israel with vengeance on the Midianites; and afterward you shall be gathered to your people.

⁸ As for the kings of Midian, they killed them along with their men wounded to death:Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba, five kings of Midian. Also Balaam son of Beor they killed with the sword.

¹ And the sons of Israel do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, and Yahweh gives them into the hand of Midian seven years, ² and the hand of Midian is strong against Israel, from the presence of Midian have the sons of Israel made for themselves the flowings which [are] in the mountains, and the caves, and the strongholds. ³ And it has been, if Israel has sowed, that Midian has come up, and Amalek, and the sons of the east, yea, they have come up against him, ⁴ and encamp against them, and destroy the increase of the land till your entering Gaza; and they leave no sustenance in Israel, either sheep, or ox, or ass;" ⁵ for they and their cattle come up, with their tents; they come in as the fulness of the locust for multitude, and of them and of their cattle there is no number, and they come into the land to destroy it. ⁶ And Israel is very weak from the presence of Midian, and the sons of Israel cry unto Yahweh. ⁷ And it comes to pass when the sons of Israel have cried unto Yahweh, concerning Midian, ⁸ that Yahweh sends a man, a prophet, unto the sons of Israel, and he said to them, `Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, I--I have brought you up out of Egypt, and I bring you out from a house of servants,

¹¹ Now three associates of Job heard about all this evil coming on him, and they set out, each one from his place, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite. They appointed a time together to come and condole with him and comfort him.

²⁵ And all the kings of Zimri, And all the kings of Elam, And all the kings of Media,

⁹ and causes him to reign over Gilead, and over the Ashurite, and over Jezreel, and over Ephraim, and over Benjamin, and over Israel--all of it.

¹ And the queen of Sheba is hearing of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of Yahweh, and comes to try him with enigmas,

¹⁹ The caravans of Tema look for waters; The wayfarers of Sheba expect to find them.

¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and the coastlands shall render a tributary present; The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer levy.

²³ Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, And all cutting the corners [of the beard],

⁸ Flee, turn, go deep to dwell, you inhabitants of Dedan, For the calamity of Esau I brought in upon him, The time I inspected him."

¹³ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:I have stretched out My hand against Edom, And I have cut off from it man and beast, And given it up--a waste, from Teman even to Dedan, By sword they do fall."

⁶ Of oaks of Bashan they made your oars, Your bench they have made of ivory, A branch of Ashurim from isles of Chittim."

²⁰ Dedan [is] your merchant, For clothes of freedom for riding."

⁶ An accumulation of camels shall cover you, dromedaries of Midian and Ephah, all those from Sheba shall come. Gold and frankincense and precious stones shall they carry, and of the praises of Yahweh shall they bear tidings."

¹⁰ And saying is she to Abraham, "Drive out this maidservant an her son, for not shall he enjoy the tenancy--the son of this maidservant--with my son, with Isaac!" ¹¹ Yet evil is this word exceedingly in the eyes of Abraham, on account of his son's case. ¹² And saying is the Elohim to Abraham, "Let it not be evil in your eyes on account of the lad, and on account of your maidservant. In all that Sarah is saying to you, hearken to her voice, for in Isaac your seed shall be called.

³⁶ And Sarah, the wife of my lord, bore one son for my lord after she was old. And give will he to him all that he has.

¹⁸ You ascend on high, You capture captivity, You apportion gifts among mankind, And also for the stubborn, to tabernacle with Yah Elohim."

²⁷ All was given up to Me by My Father. And no one is recognizing the Son except the Father; neither is anyone recognizing the Father except the Son and he to whom the Son should be intending to unveil Him."

¹⁸ And, approaching, Jesus speaks to them saying, "Given to Me was all authority in heaven and on the earth."

³⁵ The Father is loving the Son and has given all into His hand."

² according as Thou givest Him authority over all flesh, that everything which Thou hast given to Him, He should be giving it to them, even life eonian."

¹⁷ Yet if children, enjoyers also of an allotment, enjoyers, indeed, of an allotment from God, yet joint enjoyers of Christ's allotment, if so be that we are suffering together, that we should be glorified together also."

³² Surely, He Who spares not His own Son, but gives Him up for us all, how shall He not, together with Him, also, be graciously granting us all?

⁷ neither that Abraham's seed are all children, but "In Isaac shall your seed be called." ⁸ That is, that the children of the flesh, not these are the children of God, but the children of the promise is He reckoning for the seed." ⁹ For the word of the promise is this: At "this seasonI shall come "and there will be for Sarah a son."

²¹ So that, let no one be boasting in men, for all is yours, ²² whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or the present, or that which is impending - all is yours, ²³ yet you are Christ's, yet Christ is God's."

²⁹ Now if you are Christ's, consequently you are of Abraham's seed, enjoyers of the allotment according to the promise."

²⁸ Now you, brethren, as Isaac, are children of promise."

¹⁹ for in Him the entire complement delights to dwell,

² in the last of these days speaks to us in a Son, Whom He appoints enjoyer of the allotment of all, through Whom He also makes the eons;"

³ And taking is Sarai, the wife of Abram, Hagar, the Egyptian, her maid, at the end of ten years of Abram's dwelling in the land of Canaan, and giving her is she to Abram, her husband, for his wife.

¹⁴ And early in the morning Abraham is rising, and taking bread and a flask of water and is giving it to Hagar, and places it on her shoulder, with the boy, and is sending her away. And going is she and straying in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.

¹ And continuing is Abraham, and taking is he a wife, and her name is Keturah.

⁴ And giving him is she Bilhah, her maid, for a wife. And coming is Jacob to her.

⁹ And seeing is Leah that she stays from bearing. And taking is she Zilpah, her maid, and is giving her to Jacob for a wife. And coming is Jacob to her,

²² And rising is he in that night and taking his two wives and his two maids and his eleven children, and is crossing the crossing of the Jabbok.

²² And coming is it, when Israel tabernacles in that land, that going is Reuben and lying with Bilhah, his father's concubine. And hearing of it is Israel, and evil appears it in his eyes.

³ And it has been, if Israel has sowed, that Midian has come up, and Amalek, and the sons of the east, yea, they have come up against him,

¹ And it comes to pass, in those days, when there is no king in Israel, that there is a man a Levite, a sojourner in the sides of the hill-country of Ephraim, and he takes to him a wife, a concubine, out of Beth-Lehem-Judah;" ² and commit whoredom against him does his concubine, and she goes from him unto the house of her father, unto Beth-Lehem-Judah, and is there days--four months.

⁴ And keep hold on him does his father-in-law, father of the young woman, and he abides with him three days, and they eat and drink, and lodge there.

¹ There was a man in the country of Uz. Job was his name. And this man was flawless and upright, fearing Elohim and withdrawing from evil.

³ and his acquisitions came to be a flock of seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred pair of oxen and five hundred jennies, besides very many servants. And this man came to be the greatest of all the sons of the East.

¹⁴ From such men by Your hand, O Yahweh, From such men of transience; Their portion is in this life, And You fill their belly with what You have stored up; They are satisfied with sons, And they leave their surplus to their descendants." ¹⁵ As for me, with justice done, I shall perceive Your face; I will be satisfied, when I awake to Your semblance. {Permanent{ "

⁴⁵ so that you may become sons of your Father Who is in the heavens, for He causes His sun to rise on the wicked and the good, and makes it rain on the just and the unjust.

¹¹ Now of some father of you a son will be requesting bread. No stone will he be handing him! Or a fish, also. Not, instead of a fish, a serpent will he be handing him!" ¹² Or he will also be requesting an egg. He will not be handing him a scorpion! ¹³ If you, then, being inherently wicked, are aware how to give good gifts to your children, how much rather will the Father Who is out of heaven, be giving holy spirit to those requesting Him!"

¹⁷ although He leaves Himself not without the testimony of good acts, giving showers from heaven and fruitbearing seasons, filling our hearts with nourishment and gladness."

⁴ And going is Abram as Yahweh speaks to him. And going with him is Lot. And Abram was seventy-five years of age when he fares forth from Charan.

¹⁵ Yet you shall come to your forefathers in peace, and be entombed at a good grey-haired age.

⁷ And these are the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lives--a hundred and seventy five years.

¹⁷ And these are the years of the life of Ishmael: a hundred and thirty seven years. And expiring is he, and died, and is gathered to his people.

¹⁸ And coming is it, when forth fares her soul (for she died), that she is calling his name Ben-oni. Yet his father calls his name Benjamin.

²⁸ And coming are the days of Isaac to be a hundred and eighty years. ²⁹ And expiring is Isaac, and he died, and is gathered to his people, old and satisfied with days. And entombing him are Esau and Jacob, his sons.

⁸ And saying is Pharaoh to Jacob, "How have been the days of the years of your life? ⁹ And saying is Jacob to Pharaoh, "The days of the years of my life's sojourning are a hundred and thirty years. Few and evil come to be the days of the years of my life, and they do not overtake the days of the years of the life of my forefathers in the days of their sojournings.

²⁹ And instructing them is he, and saying to them, "I am being gathered to my people. Entomb me with my forefathers in the cave which is in the field of Ephron, the Hittite,

³³ And finishing is Jacob instructing his sons, and gathering is he his feet into the couch and is expiring, and is being gathered to his people.

²⁴ Aaron shall be gathered to his people, for he shall not come to the land which I will give to the sons of Israel, because you rebelled against My bidding at the waters of Meribah.

¹³ When you have seen it you will be gathered to your people, you too, just as Aaron your brother was gathered.

¹⁰ and also all that generation have been gathered unto their fathers, and another generation rises after them who have not known Yahweh, and even the work which He has done to Israel.

³² And Gideon son of Joash dies, in a good old age, and is buried in the burying-place of Joash his father, in Ophrah of the Abi-Ezrite.

²⁸ and he dies in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches, and honor, and reign does Solomon his son in his stead.

²⁶ You shall come to the tomb in mature age, Like a shock of grain that ascends in its season.

¹⁷ Then Job died, old and satisfied with days.

²⁹ The beauty of those in their prime is their vigor, And the honor of those who are old is grey hair."

¹¹ And with the fury of Yahweh I have been filled, (I have been weary of containing,) To pour [it] on the suckling in the street, And on the assembly of youths together, For even husband with wife are captured, An elder with one full of days,

⁵ Now Ananias, hearing these words, falling down, gives up the soul. And great fear came on all those hearing these things."

¹⁰ Now, instantly, she falls at his feet and gives up the soul. Now entering, the youths found her dead, and carrying her out, they entomb her with her husband."

²³ Now instantly a messenger of the Lord smites him, because he gives not the glory to God, and, becoming the food of worms, he gives up his soul."

³⁶ For David, indeed, subserving his own generation by God's counsel, was put to repose, and was added to his fathers, and was acquainted with decay;"

⁹ And seeing is Sarah the son of Hagar, the Egyptian, whom she bore for Abraham, making fun of Isaac her son. ¹⁰ And saying is she to Abraham, "Drive out this maidservant an her son, for not shall he enjoy the tenancy--the son of this maidservant--with my son, with Isaac!"

⁹ that he shall give to me the double cave which is his, which is at the end of his field. For silver, in full, shall he give it to me for a holding for a tomb in your midst. ¹⁰ And Ephron is sitting in the midst of the sons of Heth. And answering is Ephron, the Hittite, Abraham in the ears of the sons of Heth, to all entering the gateway of his city, saying, ¹¹ No, my lord! Hear me! The field I give to you. And the cave which is in it, to you I give it. Before the eyes of the sons of all my people I give it to you. Entomb your dead. ¹² And bowing down is Abraham before the people of the land. ¹³ And speaking is he to Ephron in the ears of the people of the land, saying, "Yea, should you be for me, hear me! Give will I silver for the field. Take it from me and I will entomb my dead there. ¹⁴ And answering is Ephron Abraham, saying, ¹⁵ No lord! Hear me. The land is four hundred shekels of silver. What is that between me and you? Your dead entomb. ¹⁶ And hearkening is Abraham to Ephron. And weighing is Abraham for Ephron the silver of which he spoke in the ears of the sons of Heth, for hundred shekels of silver, passing with the merchant. ¹⁷ And confirmed is the field of Ephron in which is the double cave, which is adjoining Mamre, the field and the cave which is in it, and all the trees which are in the field, which are in all its boundary around, ¹⁸ to Abraham by acquisition, before the eyes of the sons of Heth to all entering the gateway of his city. ¹⁹ And afterward Abraham entombs Sarah, his wife, at the double cave of the field adjoining Mamre. (It is Hebron, in the land of Canaan.. ²⁰ And confirmed is the field and the cave which is in it to Abraham for a holding for a tomb from the sons of Heth.

²⁹ And expiring is Isaac, and he died, and is gathered to his people, old and satisfied with days. And entombing him are Esau and Jacob, his sons.

²⁹ And instructing them is he, and saying to them, "I am being gathered to my people. Entomb me with my forefathers in the cave which is in the field of Ephron, the Hittite, ³⁰ in the double cave which is in the field adjoining Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field from Ephron, the Hittite, for a freehold for a tomb.

¹³ And carrying him are his sons to the land of Canaan, and entombing him are they in the double cave of the field, the cave which Abraham bought with the field, for a freehold, for a tomb, from Ephron, the Hittite, adjoining Mamre.

¹⁶ And hearkening is Abraham to Ephron. And weighing is Abraham for Ephron the silver of which he spoke in the ears of the sons of Heth, for hundred shekels of silver, passing with the merchant.

³¹ And there they entombed Isaac and Rebecca, his wife. "And there I entombed Leah.

² And make you will I into a great nation, and bless you will I and make your name great, and become must you a blessing.

¹⁴ Therefore she calls the well "Bar-lechi-rai.Behold! It is between Kadesh and Bered.

¹⁹ And saying is the Elohim to Abraham, "Nevertheless, behold, Sarah, your wife is bearing you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. And I set up My covenant with him for a covenant eonian, and with his seed after him.

¹⁷ that, blessing, yea, blessing you am I, and increasing, yea, increasing your seed am I as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the sea shore. And your seed shall tenant the gateway of its enemies,

⁶² Now Isaac comes into the wilderness, to the well Lehirai. And dwelling is he in the land of the south-rim.

²⁴ And saying is Joseph to his brothers, "I am dying. Yet visit, yea, visit will the Elohim you, and bring you up from this land to the land which the Elohim swore to our forefathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

¹⁰ And saying to her is the messenger of Yahweh, "Verily, I am increasing your seed, and not shall it be numbered for multitude. ¹¹ And saying to her is the messenger of Yahweh, "Behold! Pregnant are you, bearing a son, and you are to call his name Ishmael, for Yahweh hears of your humiliation. ¹² And becoming is he a wild ass of a human, his hand against all, and the hand of all against him. And adjoining all his brethren will he tabernacle. ¹³ And calling is Hagar the name of Yahweh Who spoke to her, "You-El-see me.For she says, "Moreover, hither see I, after my seeing? ¹⁴ Therefore she calls the well "Bar-lechi-rai.Behold! It is between Kadesh and Bered. ¹⁵ And bearing is Hagar for Abram a son, and Abram is calling the name of his son which Hagar bears for him, Ishmael.

²⁰ And as to Ishmael, behold! I hear you. Behold! Bless him do I, and fruitful do I make him, and increase him exceedingly exceedingly. Twelve princes shall he beget, and I make of him a great nation.

¹³ And moreover, the son of this maidservant, a great nation I will constitute him, for your seed is he.

⁶ The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites,

³ and Bashemath, the daughter of Ishmael, sister of Nebaioth.

²⁹ These [are] their generations:first-born of Ishmael, Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adheel, and Mibsam, ³⁰ Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema, ³¹ Jetur, Naphish, and Kedema. These are sons of Ishmael.

⁵ Woe to me, for I sojourn in Meshech; I tabernacle among the tents of Kedar."

⁵ Dusky am I, yet comely, O daughters of Jerusalem, Like the tents of Kedar, Like the sheets of Solomon."

¹⁶ For thus says my Lord Yahweh to me, "In three years further, as the years of a hireling, vanished will be all the glory of the sons of Kedar, ¹⁷ and the remaining number of bowmen, masters of the sons of Kedar, shall be few, for Yahweh, the Elohim of Israel, speaks."

¹¹ Elated is the wilderness and its cities, the environs with dwellers so somber. And jubilate shall the dwellers of the crag; from the summit of the mountains shall they yell."

⁷ All the flocks of Kedar shall be convened to you, and the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you. They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, and My house of prayer will I beautify."

¹¹ LOAD OF DUME For me is a call from the gate, "Guard! What of the night? Guard! What of the night, guard of the rampart?

¹⁶ For thus says my Lord Yahweh to me, "In three years further, as the years of a hireling, vanished will be all the glory of the sons of Kedar,

¹⁹ And they make war with the Hagarites, and Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab,

²³ And taking is Abraham Ishmael, his son, and all who are born in his household, and all acquired with his money, every male among the mortals of Abraham's household, and he is circumcising the flesh of their foreskin on this very day, as the Elohim had spoken to him.

⁷ And these are the days of the years of the life of Abraham, which he lives--a hundred and seventy five years. ⁸ And expiring is Abraham, and dying in a good grey-haired age, old and satisfied with days. And gathered is he to his people.

¹¹ The name of the one is Pison. It is that surrounding the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold,

And should Sarah, ninety years of age, be bearing? ¹⁸ And saying is Abraham to the Elohim, "O that Ishmael should live before You!" ¹⁹ And saying is the Elohim to Abraham, "Nevertheless, behold, Sarah, your wife is bearing you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. And I set up My covenant with him for a covenant eonian, and with his seed after him.

² and he has two wives, the name of the one [is] Hannah, and the name of the second Peninnah, and Peninnah has children, and Hannah has no children.

²² And they ask again at Yahweh, `Has the man yet come hither?' and Yahweh said, `Lo, he has been hidden near the vessels..

¹⁵ To-day have I begun to ask for him at Elohim? far be it from me! let not the king lay anything against his servant, against any of the house of my father, for your servant has known nothing of all this, less or more..

⁶⁰ And blessing are they Rebecca, their sister, and saying to her, "Our sister are you. May you become thousands of myriads, and may your seed tenant the gateway of those hating them.

Behold! On Edom shall it descend, and on the people I doom for judgment." ⁶ The sword of Yahweh will be full of blood. It lubricates itself from the fat of lambs, and from the blood of butting rams and he-goats, from the fat of kidneys of rams. For there shall be a sacrifice to Yahweh in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom." ⁷ And down come the uruses with them, and the young bulls with the bulls, and their land will be soaked with blood, and their soil shall be sleek from fat." ⁸ For a day of vengeance is it for Yahweh, a year of repayments for the contention of Zion." ⁹ And its watercourses will be turned into pitch, and its soil into sulphur, and its land shall become as pitch, ¹⁰ and shall be consumed by night and by day, and it will not be quenched for the eon; its smoke shall ascend from generation to generation, and it shall be deserted permanently, for permanence, and no one shall pass in it." ¹¹ Yet the pelican shall tenant it and the hedgehog, and the eagle owl and the raven shall roost in it. And leveling tape of chaos shall stretch out over it, and the plumb stones of vacancy." ¹² And its notables nowhere shall call it a kingdom, and all its chiefs shall come to a limit." ¹³ And briars shall come up in its citadels, the sting nettle and the thistle in its fortresses. Yea, there shall the black kites be convened, the dam with her mate." ¹⁶ Inquire from the scroll of Yahweh and read:None of them shall be deranged. The dam does not miss her mate. For the mouth of Yahweh instructs them, and His spirit, it convenes them." ¹⁷ And He will cast the lot for them, and His hand will apportion it to them by a tape level. ¹ Who is This, coming from humanity, with fermented garments from the vintage? This One, in His clothing of honor, marching in the vastness of His vigor?I, speaking in righteousness, and contending to save!" ² For what reason is there red on Your clothing, and Your garments are as the treader's in a wine trough? ³ The winepress I trod alone, and of the peoples there is no man `with Me, and I am treading them in My anger, and trampling them in My fury, and their gore is spattering on My garments, and all My clothing I sully." ⁴ For the day of vengeance came for them, and the year of My redeemed has come." ⁵ And I am looking, and there is no helper, and I am regarding, and there is no supporter, and My own arm is saving for Me, and My fury, it supports Me!" ⁶ And I am trampling peoples in My anger. And I am making them drunk in My fury, and down to the earth am I bringing their gore."

⁷ Concerning Edom:`Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:Is wisdom no more in Teman? Perished has counsel from the intelligent? Vanished has their wisdom? ⁸ Flee, turn, go deep to dwell, you inhabitants of Dedan, For the calamity of Esau I brought in upon him, The time I inspected him." ⁹ If gatherers have come in to you, They do not leave gleanings, If thieves in the night, They have destroyed their sufficiency!" ¹⁰ For I--I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, And to be hidden he is not able, Spoiled [is] his seed, and his brethren, And his neighbors, and he is not." ¹¹ Leave your orphans--I do keep alive, And your widows--on Me trust you, ¹² For thus said Yahweh:They whose judgment is not to drink of the cup, Do certainly drink, And you [are] he that is entirely acquitted! You are not acquitted, for you certainly drink." ¹³ For, by Myself, I have sworn, An affirmation of Yahweh, That for a desolation, for a reproach, For a waste, and for a reviling--is Bozrah, And all her cities are for wastes eonian." ¹⁴ A report I have heard from Yahweh, And an ambassador among nations is sent, Gather yourselves and come in against her, And rise you for battle." ¹⁵ For, lo, little I have made you among nations, Despised among men." ¹⁶ Your terribleness has lifted you up, The pride of your heart, O dweller in clefts of the rock, Holding the high place of the height, For you make high as an eagle your nest, From thence I bring you down, An affirmation of Yahweh." ¹⁷ And Edom has been for a desolation, Every passer by her is astonished, And does hiss because of all her plagues." ¹⁸ As the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, And its neighbors, said Yahweh, No one does dwell there, Nor sojourn in her does a son of man." ¹⁹ Lo, as a lion he comes up, Because of the rising of the Jordan, Unto the enduring habitation, But I cause to rest, I cause him to run from off her, And who is chosen? concerning her I lay a charge, For who is like Me? and who convenes Me? And who [is] this shepherd who stands before Me? ²⁰ Therefore, hear you the counsel of Yahweh, That He has counselled concerning Edom, And His devices that He has devised Concerning the inhabitants of Teman:Drag them out do not little ones of the flock, Make desolate over them does he not their habitation? ²¹ From the noise of their fall has the earth shaken, The cry--at the sea of Suph is its voice heard." ²² Lo, as an eagle he comes up, and flies, And he spreads his wings over Bozrah, And the heart of the mighty of Edom has been in that day, As the heart of a distressed woman!'"

¹² Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Because of the doings of Edom, In taking vengeance on the house of Judah, Yea, they are very guilty, And they have taken vengeance on them." ¹³ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:I have stretched out My hand against Edom, And I have cut off from it man and beast, And given it up--a waste, from Teman even to Dedan, By sword they do fall." ¹⁴ And I have given My vengeance on Edom, By the hand of My people Israel, And they have done in Edom, According to My anger, and according to My fury, And they have known My vengeance, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh."

¹ And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying:" ² `Son of man, set your face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it, ³ and you have said to it:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against you, O mount Seir, And have stretched out My hand against you, And made you a desolation and an astonishment." ⁴ Your cities a waste I make, and you are a desolation, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh." ⁵ Because of your having an enmity eonian, And you do saw the sons of Israel, By the hands of the sword, In the time of their calamity, In the time of the iniquity of the end:" ⁶ Therefore, I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Surely for blood I do appoint you, And blood does pursue you, If blood you have not hated, Blood also does pursue you." ⁷ And I have given mount Seir for a desolation and an astonishment, And have cut off from it him who is passing over and him who is returning, ⁸ And filled his mountains with his wounded, Your hills, and your valleys, and all your streams, The pierced of the sword fall into them." ⁹ Desolations eonian I make you, And your cities do not return, And you have known that I [am] Yahweh." ¹⁰ Because of your saying:The two nations and the two lands are mine, and we have possessed it, And Yahweh has been there;" ¹¹ Therefore, I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, And I have done according to your anger, And according to your envy, With which you have wrought, Because of your hatred against them, And I have been known among them when I judge you." ¹² And you have known that I--Yahweh, I have heard all your despisings that you have spoken Against mountains of Israel, saying:A desolation, to us they were given for food." ¹³ And you magnify yourselves against Me with your mouth, And have made abundant against Me your words, I--I have heard." ¹⁴ Thus said the Lord Yahweh:According to the rejoicing of the whole land, A desolation I make of you." ¹⁵ According to your joy at the inheritance of the house of Israel because of desolation, So I do to you--a desolation you are, O mount Seir, and all Edom--all of it, And they have known that I [am] Yahweh!"

¹¹ Thus says Yahweh, Due to three transgressions of Edom, and due to four, I will not turn it back, due to his pursuing his brother with the sword, since he ruins his own compassions. His anger is preying into the future, and his rage, he keeps it permanently." ¹² I will send a fire into Teman, and it shall devour the citadels of Bozrah."

¹ The vision of Obadiah. Thus says my Lord Yahweh concerning Edom:We hear a report from Yahweh, and an agent is sent among the nations. Rise! And let us rise against her for battle!" ² Behold! I have made you small among the nations. Despised are you exceedingly. ³ The arrogance of your heart lures you, O tabernacler in the holes of the crag. A height is his dwelling; he is saying in his heart, Who will bring me down to earth? ⁴ If you are elevated as the vulture, and if your nest is placed between the stars, thence will I bring you down (averring is Yahweh)." ⁵ If thieves come to you, if devastators of the night--how you are stilled! Will they not steal their quota? If grape pickers come to you, will they not let clean-gleanings remain? ⁶ How the things of Esau will be searched! His secluded things will be extruded! ⁷ Unto your boundary they send you; all the mortals of your covenant lure you, and the mortals bidding you peace will prevail against you--they shall make your bread a malady under you. There is no understanding by it." ⁸ Will it not be in that day, (averring is Yahweh), that I shall destroy the wise from Edom, and understanding from mount Esau? ⁹ Your masters, Teman, shall be dismayed, that each man may be cut off from mount Esau by being despatched." ¹⁰ Because of wrong done to your brother Jacob, shame shall cover you, and you shall be cut off for the eon." ¹¹ In the day that you stood aloof, in that day aliens captured his army, and foreigners entered his gateways, and over Jerusalem they handled the lot. Moreover, you were as one of them!" ¹² Yet you must not stare in the day of your brother, in the day of his disaster. And you must not rejoice over the sons of Judah, in the day of their destruction. And you must not magnify your mouth, in the day of distress." ¹³ You must not enter into the gateway of My people, in the day of their calamity. Moreover, you must not see his evil, in the day of his calamity. And you must not be set to fight against his army, in the day of his calamity." ¹⁴ And you must not stand at the breach to cut off his delivered ones. And you must not enclose his survivors, in the day of distress." ¹⁵ For near is the day of Yahweh over all the nations. Just as you do, it shall be done to you. Your requital shall return on your own head." ¹⁶ For just as you drink on My holy mountain, so shall all the nations drink turbid wine, and they shall drink and swallow absinth, and they shall become as if not having become."

² I love you, says Yahweh. Yet you say, In what way do you love us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? (averring is Yahweh), yet I am loving Jacob, ³ yet Esau I hate. And I will make his mountains a desolation, and his allotment is for the jackals of the wilderness." ⁴ Though Edom shall say, We are destitute, yet we will return and will build the deserted places, thus says Yahweh of hosts:They will build, yet I will demolish. And they will call them Boundary of wickedness and The people whom Yahweh menaces till the eon." ⁵ And your eyes shall see, and you shall say, Yahweh shall be great from over the boundary of Israel."

²⁸ And coming is it, in her bearing that one is putting out a hand. And taking it is the midwife and tying on his hand a double-dipped token, saying, "This fares forth first. ²⁹ And coming is it, as his hand is returning, then, behold! Forth fares his brother. And saying is she, "What! Breached have you. On you be the breach!"And calling is she his name Pharez. ³⁰ And afterward forth comes his brother, who had on his hand the double-dipped token. And calling is she his name Zarah.

³ In the belly he took his brother by the heel, yet in his virility he was upright with Elohim."

⁹ These are the genealogical annals of Noah: Noah is a just man. Flawless became he in his generations. With the Elohim walks Noah.

⁹ He becomes a master hunter before Yahweh Elohim. Therefore is it being said, "As Nimrod, the master hunter before Yahweh.

¹⁰ And forth is Jacob faring from Beer-sheba, and going toward Charan. ¹¹ And coming is he upon a place and is lodging there, for the sun has set. And taking is he one of the stones of the place, and is placing it for his pillow, and lying down is he in that place.

³⁹ That which was torn to pieces, I did not bring to you. I was made a sin offering for it! From my hand you sought it, be it stolen by day or stolen by night!" ⁴⁰ So became I: In the day the drought devoured me, and the ice in the night, and flit did my sleep from my eyes. ⁴¹ This, for me, was twenty years in your household. I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your flock, and vary did you my hire at ten countings.

³⁴ Then say shall you, `Cattlemen are your servants from our youth till now, both we and our forefathers,'--in order to dwell in the land of Goshen, for an abhorrence to Egyptians is every grazier of a flock.

⁸ So Yahweh said to Satan, Have you set your heart on My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a man flawless and upright, fearing Elohim and withdrawing from evil.

And he still is holding fast to his integrity, though you would incite Me against him to swallow him up gratuitously.

³⁷ Observe the flawless, and see the upright, That there is a hereafter for the man of peace."

⁹ By faith he sojourns in the land of promise as in an alien land, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the joint enjoyers of the allotment of the same promise. "

⁴ and make for me tasties, such as I love, and bring them to me, and eat will I, in order that my soul may bless you ere I die.

⁶ And Rebecca spoke to Jacob, her son, the inferior in station, saying, "Behold! I heard your father speaking to Esau, your brother, saying, ⁷ `Bring me game and make for me tasties, and eat will I and bless you will I before Yahweh before my death..

⁹ Go, pray, to the flock, and take for me thence two kids of the goats, tender and good, and I will make of them tasties for your father, such as he loves,

¹⁹ And saying is Jacob to his father, "I am Esau, your firstborn. I did as you spoke to me. Rise, pray! Sit and eat of my game, in order that your soul may be blessing me.

²⁵ And saying is he, "Bring it close to me, and I will eat of my son's game, that my soul may be blessing you.And close is he bringing it to him, and he is eating. And he is bringing him wine, and he is drinking.

³¹ And making tasties is he, moreover, and is bringing them to his father. And saying is he to his father, "Rise will my father and eat of his son's game, in order that bless me will your soul.

⁴ And Gideon comes in unto the Jordan, passing over, he and the three hundred men who [are] with him--wearied, and pursuing, ⁵ and he said to the men of Succoth, `Give, I pray you, cakes of bread to the people who [are] at my feet, for they [are] wearied, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna kings of Midian..

²⁸ And a man of the people answers and said, `Your father certainly adjured the people, saying, Cursed [is] the man who eats food to-day; and the people are weary..

³¹ And they smite on that day among the Philistines from Michmash to Aijalon, and the people are very weary,

²⁵ The righteous one is eating to his soul's satisfaction, Yet the belly of the wicked lacks food."

³⁰ And the youths will be faint and weary, and the choice men will stumble, yea stumble." ³¹ Yet those stretching toward Yahweh will vary their vigor, and they shall ascend on pinions as vultures. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall go, and not faint."

¹ And these are the genealogical annals of Esau (He is Edom):

⁹ And these are the genealogical annals of Esau, father of Edom, in mount Seir.

⁴³ sheik Magdiel, sheik Iram. These are the sheiks of Edom, for their dwelling places, in the land of their freehold. He is Esau, father of Edom.

¹⁵ Then the sheiks of Edom are flustered; the arbiters of Moab, quivering took hold of them. All the dwellers of Canaan are dissolved.

¹⁴ Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom:Thus says your brother Israel, You know yourself all the stress which finds u. ¹⁵ and that our fathers went down to Egypt, and we dwelt in Egypt many days and that the Egyptians did evil to us and to our fathers. ¹⁶ We cried to Yahweh, and He heard our voice and sent a messenger and brought us forth from Egypt. Now behold, we are at Kadesh, a city at your outmost boundary. ¹⁷ Let us pass, we pray, through your land. We shall not pass through field or vineyard, nor shall we drink water of a well. By the king's road shall we go. We shall not turn aside right or left until we have crossed over your boundary. ¹⁸ Yet Edom said to him:You shall not pass through me lest I come forth with the sword to meet you. ¹⁹ Then the sons of Israel said to him:By the highway shall we go up. And if we drink your water, I and my cattle, then I will give its selling price. But this is no great matter. Let me pass on my feet. ²⁰ Yet he said:You shall not pass. Then Edom came forth to meet him, heavy with people and with a steadfast hand. ²¹ Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his boundary; so Israel turned aside from him.

⁷ You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother. You shall not abhor an Egyptian, for you became a sojourner in his country.

²⁰ In his days has Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and they cause a king to reign over them,

⁹ In every manner of transgression over a bull, over a donkey, over a flockling, over raiment or over every lost thing which one says that this is it, unto the elohim shall come the word of the two of them. Whom the elohim shall condemn, he shall repay double to his associate.

¹⁵ What is He Who Suffices that we should serve Him? And what benefit would we gain that we should make intercession to Him?

¹⁷ Who were saying to El, Withdraw from us, And, What can He Who Suffices effect for us?

⁹ For he says, It is unprofitable for a master When he strives to be acceptable to Elohim.

¹⁴ You say, It is futility to serve Elohim. And what gain is it that we keep His charge, and that we go somberly in view of Yahweh of hosts?

²² And saying is Abram to the king of Sodom, "High hold I my hand to swear to Yahweh, the El Supreme, Owner of the heavens and the earth.

³ and adjure you will I by Yahweh, the Elohim of the heavens and the Elohim of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son Isaac from the daughters of the Canaanite near whom I am dwelling,

⁶ And taking is Esau his wives and his sons and his daughters and all the souls of his household, and all his cattle and all his beasts and all his acquisitions, and all that he got in the land of Canaan, and going is he from the land of Canaan, from the face of Jacob, his brother, ⁷ for it comes that they get more than may dwell together, and the land of their sojourning cannot bear them, in view of the multitude of their cattle.

²³ And he swears to her that "Whatsoever you should be requesting me, I will give you, to the half of my kingdom."

¹⁶ For men are swearing by a greater, and to them an oath for confirmation is an end of all contradiction,

¹⁶ nor any paramour, or profane person, as Esau, who, for one feeding, gave up his own birthright."

²⁴ Then they rejected the coveted land; They did not believe His word,

¹⁵ So I lauded rejoicing, Since there is no good for a man under the sun Save to eat and to drink and to rejoice. And it shall lodge with him in his toil through the days of his life, Which the One, Elohim, gives to him under the sun."

¹³ yet behold! Elation will they make and rejoicing, killing an ox and slaying from the flock, eating flesh and drinking wine, saying, "Eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die."

¹³ And Yahweh is saying to me, Fling it to the minter--the noble esteem with which I am esteemed by them! So I am taking the thirty silverlings and am flinging them to the minter in the house of Yahweh."

⁵ Yet they, not caring, came away, one, indeed, to his own field, yet one to his merchandise."

¹⁵ Now they weigh for him thirty pieces of silver.

¹⁸ And they all begin, from one motive, to make excuse. The first said to him, 'I buy a field, and I have felt the necessity of coming out to see it. I am asking you to have me excused.'" ¹⁹ And a different one said, 'I buy five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I am asking you to have me excused.'" ²⁰ And a different one said, 'I marry a wife, and therefore I can not come.'"

⁴¹ Perceive, you despisers, and marvel, and disappear! for a work am I working in your days - a work which you should by no means be believing if anyone should be detailing it to you."

³² if, as a man, I fight wild beasts in Ephesus, what is the benefit to me? If the dead are not being roused, "we may be eating and drinking, for tomorrow we are dying."

¹⁸ for many are walking, of whom I often told you, yet now am lamenting also as I tell it, who are enemies of the cross of Christ, ¹⁹ whose consummation is destruction, whose god is their bowels, and whose glory is in their shame, who to the terrestial are disposed."

¹⁶ nor any paramour, or profane person, as Esau, who, for one feeding, gave up his own birthright." ¹⁷ For you are aware that afterwards also, wanting to enjoy the allotment blessing, he is rejected, for he did not find a place of repentance, even seeking it out with tears."
