¹ And Joseph was brought down to Egypt. And bought is he by Potiphar, a eunuch of Pharaoh, chief of the executioners, an Egyptian man, from the hand of the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there. ² And coming is Yahweh to be with Joseph, and becoming is he a prosperous man. And coming is he to be in the house of his lord, the Egyptian. ³ And seeing is his lord that Yahweh is with him and that all that he is doing Yahweh is prospering in his hand. ⁴ And finding is Joseph grace in the eyes of his lord, and ministering is he to him. And making him is he supervisor over his household, and all, forsooth, which is his he gives into Joseph's hand. ⁵ And coming is it, since he makes him supervisor in his house and over all, forsooth, that is his, that Yahweh is blessing the Egyptian's household due to Joseph, and coming is Yahweh's blessing to be over all, forsooth, which is his, in the house and in the field. ⁶ And leaving is he all that is his in the hand of Joseph. And naught knows he of his, save the bread which he is eating. And coming is Joseph to have a lovely shape and a lovely appearance. ⁷ And coming is it after these things, that lifting is the wife of his lord her eyes to Joseph and is saying, "Lie with me. ⁸ And refusing is he, and saying to his lord's wife, "Behold! My lord knows naught of me in the house, and all, forsooth, that is his he gives into my hand. ⁹ No one is greater in this house than I, and he has not kept back aught from me save you, in that you are his wife. And how shall I do this great evil and sin against the Elohim? ¹⁰ And coming is it, as she speaks to Joseph day by day, that he does not hearken to her to lie beside her, to be with her. ¹¹ And coming is a day as this, and coming is Joseph to the house to do his work, and no man of the mortals of the household is there in the house. ¹² And grasping him is she by his cloak, saying, "Lie with me!"And leaving is he his cloak in her hand, and fleeing, and faring forth outside. ¹³ And coming is it, as she sees that he leaves his cloak in her hand and is fleeing and faring forth outside, ¹⁴ that calling is she to the mortals of her household and is speaking to them, saying, "See! He brings to us a man, a Hebrew to laugh at us. He comes to me saying, `Lie with me,' and calling am I with a loud voice. <sup>15</sup> And coming is it, as he hears that I raise high my voice and am calling, that he is leaving his cloak beside me and is fleeing and faring forth outside. <sup>16</sup> And leaving is she his cloak beside her till his lord comes to his house. <sup>17</sup> And speaking is she to him according to these words, saying, "There came to me the Hebrew servant whom you brought to us, to laugh at me, and said to me, `Lie with me.. ¹⁸ And coming is it, as I raise high my voice and am calling, that he is leaving his cloak beside me and is fleeing and is faring forth outside. ¹⁹ And coming is it, as his lord hears the words of his wife, which she speaks to him, saying, "According to these words does your servant to me,that hot is his anger. ²⁰ And Joseph's lord is taking him and is giving him over to the round-house, the place in which the king's prisoners are bound. And coming is he to be there in the round-house. ²¹ Yet coming is Yahweh to be with Joseph, and He is stretching out to him in kindness and is giving him grace in the eyes of the chief of the round-house. ²² And the chief of the round-house is giving into the hand of Joseph all the prisoners who are in the round-house. And all that is being done there, he comes to be the doer. ²³ Naught is the chief of the round-house prison seeing of all that is in his hand, in that Yahweh is with him, and all that he is doing Yahweh is prospering.

²⁵ And sitting down are they to eat bread. And lifting are they their eyes and seeing, and behold! A caravan of Ishmaelites are coming from Gilead with their camels, bearing perfume and balm and labdanum, going by to go down to Egypt.

²⁸ And passing are mortals, Midianites, merchants. And drawing are they and bringing up Joseph from the cistern, and are selling Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty silverlings. And bringing are they Joseph to Egypt.

³⁶ And the Midianites sell Joseph to Egypt, to Potiphar, a eunuch of Pharaoh, chief of the executioners.

⁴ And saying is Joseph to his brothers, "Come close, pray, to me.And close are they coming. And saying is he, "I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold to Egypt.

¹⁷ He sent a man before them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave."

⁹ And the patriarchs, being jealous of Joseph, gave him up into Egypt. And God was with him,

²² And coming is it at that season that Abimelech with Ahuzzath, his associate, and Phicol, the chief of his host, is speaking to Abraham, saying, "The Elohim is with you in all that you are doing.

²⁴ And appearing to him is Yahweh in that night, and saying, "I am the Elohim of Abraham your father. You must not fear, for with you am I. And bless you will I, and increase will I your seed for the sake of Abraham your father, My servant.

²⁸ And saying are they, "We see, yea, see that Yahweh has come to be with you, and we are saying, `Let there come, pray, an oath of imprecation between us, between us and you, and contract will we a covenant with you.

¹⁵ And behold! I am with you, and keep you in every way which you shall go, and will restore you to this ground, for not forsake you will I, till I should do all which I have spoken to you.

²¹ Yet coming is Yahweh to be with Joseph, and He is stretching out to him in kindness and is giving him grace in the eyes of the chief of the round-house. ²² And the chief of the round-house is giving into the hand of Joseph all the prisoners who are in the round-house. And all that is being done there, he comes to be the doer.

¹⁹ And Samuel grows up, and Yahweh has been with him, and has not let fall any of his words to the earth;"

¹⁸ And one of the servants answers and said, `Lo, I have seen a son of Jesse the Beth-Lehemite, skilful in playing, and a mighty virtuous man, and a man of battle, and intelligent in word, and a man of form, and Yahweh [is] with him..

¹⁴ And David is in all his ways acting wisely, and Yahweh [is] with him,

²⁸ And Saul sees and knows that Yahweh [is] with David, and Michal daughter of Saul has loved him,

³ So he comes to be like a tree transplanted by rillets of water, That yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not decay; Hence all that he does shall prosper.

¹⁵ He shall call on Me, and I shall answer him; I am with him in distress; I shall liberate him and glorify him."

⁹ Know, you peoples, and be dismayed! And give ear, all you far from the land! Belt yourselves and be dismayed! Belt yourselves and be dismayed!" ¹⁰ Counsel with counsel, yet it shall be annulled! Speak the word, yet it shall not be confirmed! For with us is El!"

¹⁰ You must not fear, for I am with you, and you must not take heed for yourself, for I am your Elohim. I make you resolute; indeed, I help you. Indeed, I uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.'"

² In case you are passing through the waters, I am with you. And through the streams, they shall not overflow you. In case you are going through fire, you shall not be scorched, and the blaze shall not consume among you."

²⁰ And I have made you to this people For a wall--brazen--fenced, And they have fought against you, And they do not prevail against you, For with you [am] I to save you, And to deliver you--an affirmation of Yahweh,

²³ "Lo! The virgin shall be pregnant
And shall be bringing forth a Son,
And they shall be calling His name 'Emmanuel,'
which is, being construed, "God with us."

⁹ And the patriarchs, being jealous of Joseph, gave him up into Egypt. And God was with him, ¹⁰ and extricates him out of all his afflictions, and gives him favor and wisdom in front of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and constitutes him governor over Egypt and over his whole house."

³¹ Yet he said, "For how should I be able, if ever someone should not be guiding me?Besides, he entreats Philip, stepping up, to be seated with him."

²⁰ Each one in the calling in which he was called, in this let him be remaining." ²¹ Were you called a slave? Let it not be causing you care. But if you are able to become free also, use it rather." ²² For, in the Lord, he who is being called a slave, is the Lord's freedman. Likewise, he who is being called, being free, is a slave of Christ." ²³ With a price are you bought. Do not become the slaves of men. ²⁴ Each one, in what he was called, brethren, in this let him remain with God."

¹ Whoever are slaves under the yoke, let them deem their own owners worthy of all honor, lest the name of God and the teaching may be blasphemed."

⁹ Slaves are to be subject to their own owners, to be well-pleasing in all things, not contradicting;" ¹⁰ not embezzling, but displaying all good faithfulness, that they may be adorning the teaching that is of God, our Saviour, in all things."

²⁷ And saying to him is Laban, "If, pray, I find grace in your eyes! I augur that Yahweh's blessing me is due to your coming.

³⁰ For little was that which came to be yours before, and breaching is it into much. And blessing you is Yahweh, at my footsteps. Yet now, when shall I do something, moreover I, for my own household?

²³ Naught is the chief of the round-house prison seeing of all that is in his hand, in that Yahweh is with him, and all that he is doing Yahweh is prospering.

⁷ `Only, be strong and very courageous, to observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; you do not turn aside from it right or left, so that you do act wisely in every [place] whither you go;" ⁸ the book of this law does not depart out of your mouth, and you have meditated in it by day and by night, so that you do observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then you do cause your way to prosper, and then you do act wisely.

¹³ then you do prosper, if you do observe to do the statutes and the judgments that Yahweh charged Moses with concerning Israel; be strong and courageous; do not fear, nor be cast down.

⁵ and he is as one seeking Elohim in the days of Zechariah who has understanding in visions of Elohim:and in the days of his seeking Yahweh, Elohim has caused him to prosper.

²⁰ And I return them word, and say to them, `The Elohim of the heavens--He does give prosperity to us, and we His servants rise and have built; and to you there is no portion, and right, and memorial in Jerusalem..

²³ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:In those days ten mortals, from all the languages of the nations, will take fast hold. And they will take fast hold of the hem of a man, a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we hear that Elohim is with you."

¹⁶ Thus let shine your light in front of men, so that they may perceive your ideal acts and should glorify your Father Who is in the heavens.

² On one of the sabbaths let each of you lay aside by himself in store that in which he should be prospered, that no collections may be occurring then, whenever I may come."

¹⁵ that you may become blameless and artless, children of God, flawless, in the midst of a generation crooked and perverse among whom you are appearing as luminaries in the world, ¹⁶ having on the word of life, for my glorying in the day of Christ, that I did not run for naught, neither that I toil for naught."

⁹ Lo! I have granted to those of the synagogue of Satan, (who are saying that they themselves are Jews, and are not, but are lying) - Lo! I shall be making them that they will be arriving and worshiping, before your feet, and they may know that I love you."

² And saying is Abram, "My Lord Yahweh, what are You giving to me, when I am going heirless, and the son running about my house, he is Damascus Eliezer?

³ And saying is he, "My lord, pray, should I find grace in your eyes, pray, you must not pass on from your servant.

¹⁹ Behold, pray! Your servant finds grace in Your eyes, and magnifying are You Your kindness which You do to me in preserving alive my soul. Yet I, I cannot escape to the mountain, lest evil cling to me and I die.

² And saying is Abraham to his servant, the oldest of his household, the ruler over all that is his, "Pray place your hand under my thigh,

⁵ And mine are becoming bulls and asses and a flock, and servants and maids. And sending am I to tell my lord Esau that your servant finds grace in your eyes..

⁸ And saying is he, "What is all this camp to you which I encountered?And saying is he, "To find grace for your servant in the eyes of my lord.

¹⁰ And saying is Jacob, "You must not, pray. Pray, if I find grace in your eyes, then take my present offering from my hand, for therefore I see your face, as if seeing the face of the Elohim, and accepting me are you.

⁴⁰ You shall be over my household, and at your bidding all my people shall bear weapons. But on the throne will I be greater than you. ⁴¹ And saying is Pharaoh to Joseph, "See! Given you have I today to be over all the land of Egypt.

²² And Saul sends unto Jesse, saying, `Let David, I pray you, stand before me, for he has found grace in mine eyes..

⁴ And the king said to me, `For what are you seeking?' and I pray unto the Elohim of the heavens, <sup>5</sup> and say to the king, `If to the king [it be] good, and if your servant be pleasing before you, that you send me unto Judah, unto the city of the graves of my fathers, and I built it..

³⁵ A king's benevolence is for an intelligent servant, Yet his rage is bestowed on the one causing shame."

⁷ When a man's ways please Yahweh He makes even his enemies live at peace with him.

² An intelligent servant rules over a son who causes shame And is apportioned an allotment in the midst of the brothers.

²⁹ Do you perceive a man who is expert in his work? He shall station himself before kings; By no means shall he station himself before obscure men.

¹⁸ He who nurtures a fig tree shall eat its fruit, And he who guards his lord shall be glorified."

²⁸ Take heed to yourselves and to the entire flocklet, among which the holy spirit appointed you supervisors, to be shepherding the ecclesia of God, which He procures through the blood of His Own."

² And make you will I into a great nation, and bless you will I and make your name great, and become must you a blessing.

²⁹ And coming is it, as Yahweh Elohim wrecks all the cities of the basin, remembering also is the Elohim Abraham and is sending Lot from the midst of the overturning when Yahweh overturns the cities in which Lot dwelt.

³ Blessed be you in the city, and blessed be you in the field. ⁴ Blessed be the fruit of your belly, the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beast, the calving of your domestic animals and the lambing of your flock. ⁵ Blessed be your basket and your kneading-trough. ⁶ Blessed be you in your coming in, and blessed be you in your going forth.

¹¹ and the ark of Yahweh does inhabit the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months, and Yahweh blesses Obed-Edom and all his house. ¹² And it is declared to king David, saying, `Yahweh has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that he has, because of the ark of Elohim;' and David goes and brings up the ark of Elohim from the house of Obed-Edom to the city of David with joy.

⁶ For You are setting him for blessings for the future; You are exhilarating him with the rejoicing of Your presence.

¹⁷ His Name shall remain for the eon; Before the sun shall His Name be propagated, And all nations shall bless themselves in Him and call Him happy."

²⁴ saying,'Fear not, Paul! Before Caesar you must stand. And lo! graciously has God granted you all those who are sailing with you.'"

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who blesses us with every spiritual blessing among the celestials, in Christ,

¹⁴ And coming is it, as Abram comes to Egypt, that the Egyptians see the woman, that very lovely is she. ¹⁵ Seeing her also are the chiefs of Pharaoh, and they praise her to Pharaoh, and the woman is being taken to Pharaoh's house.

¹⁷ And the eyes of Leah are tender, yet Rachel is lovely in shapeliness, and lovely in appearance.

⁴ And finding is Joseph grace in the eyes of his lord, and ministering is he to him. And making him is he supervisor over his household, and all, forsooth, which is his he gives into Joseph's hand.

³² And placing are they for him alone and for them alone, for the Egyptians are eating with him alone, for the Egyptians cannot eat bread with Hebrews, for that is an abhorrence to the Egyptians.

¹² And he sends, and brings him in, and he [is] ruddy, with beauty of eyes, and of good appearance; and Yahweh said, `Rise, anoint him, for this [is] he..

⁴² and the Philistine looks attentively, and sees David, and despises him, for he was a youth, and ruddy, with a fair appearance.

¹¹ Her spouse's heart understanding puts trust in her, So that he lacks no proceeds."

¹⁰ He who is faithful in the least is faithful in much also, and he who is unjust in the least is unjust in much also."

¹⁷ And he said to him, 'Well done, surely, good slave! Seeing that you became faithful in the least, be having authority over ten cities.'"

²⁰ In which era Moses was born (and was handsome even to God), who was reared three months in the home of his father."

² And seeing are sons of the elohim the daughters of the human, that they are good, and taking are they for themselves wives of all whom they choose.

¹¹ and she brings nigh unto him to eat, and he lays hold on her, and said to her, `Come, lie with me, my sister..

¹ I contracted a covenant with my eyes So how should I wrongly consider a virgin?

³⁷ Avert my eyes from looking at futile things; Revive me in Your way.

¹⁶ This will also rescue you from the strange woman, Or from the foreign woman who makes her words slick,

⁹ Lest you should give your splendor to others And your years to the cruel one,

¹³ She held him fast and kissed him; She set her face with impudence and said to him:

¹⁵ Therefore, I came forth to meet you, To seek your face early, and I have found you." ¹⁶ I have decorated my divan with decorative covers, With bedspreads of Egyptian yarn." ¹⁷ I have wafted my bed with myrrh, Aloes and cinnamon." ¹⁸ Do come, let us satiate ourselves with affection until the morning; Let us make ourselves joyous with love expressions."

³ And withheld are showers, and gathered rain has not been. The forehead of a whorish woman you have, You have refused to be ashamed."

²⁵ At every head of the way you have built your high place, And you do make your beauty abominable, And do open wide your feet to every passer by, And do multiply your whoredoms,

³² The wife who commits adultery--Under her husband--does receive strangers.

³⁴ And the contrary is in you from women in your whoredoms, That after you none does go a-whoring; And in your giving a gift, And a gift has not been given to you; And you are become contrary."

⁵ And go a-whoring does Aholah under Me, And she dotes on her lovers, On the neighboring Assyrians, ⁶ Clothed with blue--governors and prefects, Desirable young men all of them, Horsemen, riding on horses,

¹⁴ having the distended eyes of an adulteress, and that do not stop from sin, luring unstable souls, having a heart exercised by greed, children of a curse."

¹⁶ for everything that is in the world, the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of living, is not of the Father, but is of the world."

¹⁰ My son, if sinners entice you, do not comply with them;"

¹⁰ For wisdom shall come into your heart, And knowledge shall be pleasant to your soul."

¹⁶ This will also rescue you from the strange woman, Or from the foreign woman who makes her words slick, ¹⁷ Who forsakes the mentor of her youth, And who forgets the covenant of her Elohim." ¹⁸ For she slips down to death with her house And her routes to the Rephaim; ¹⁹ All who enter it shall not return, Nor shall they overtake the paths of life."

³ For the lips of a strange woman drop as the honeycomb, And the words of her palate are slicker than oil." ⁴ Yet the aftereffect from her is bitter as wormwood, Sharp as a two-edged sword." ⁵ Her feet are descending to death; To the unseen her steps hold firm. ⁶ Lest you should ponder the path of life, Her routes rove about, yet you know not where." ⁷ So now, my sons, hearken to me, And do not withdraw from the sayings of my mouth." ⁸ Keep your way far from her; Do not go near to the portal of her house,

²⁰ My son, preserve the instruction of your father, And do not abandon the law of your mother." ²¹ Tie them upon your heart continually; Wind them about your throat. ²² When you walk about, it shall give you guidance, When you lie down, it shall guard over you, And when you awake, it shall importune you." ²³ For instruction is a lamp, and law is a light, And the reproofs of discipline are the way to life, ²⁴ To keep you from the evil woman, From the slick tongue of the foreign woman." ²⁵ Do not covet after her loveliness in your heart, And do not let her captivate you with her eyelids."

²⁹ So is he who comes to the wife of his associate; Anyone who touches her shall not be held innocent.

³² But he who commits adultery with another's wife has lack of heart wisdom; He is causing ruin to his soul who does it. ³³ Contagion and dishonor shall he find, And his reproach cannot be wiped out;"

⁵ In order to keep you from the strange woman, From the foreign woman who makes her sayings slick."

²⁵ Do not let your heart swerve to her ways; Do not stray into her tracks. ²⁶ For many are the mortally wounded she has cast down, And plentiful are all those killed by her." ²⁷ Her house is a road to the unseen, One descending to the chambers of death."

¹³ The woman, stupidity, is clamorous and simple, And she does not know anything at all." ¹⁴ She sits at the portal of her house, On a covered seat at the heights of the town, ¹⁵ Calling to those passing on the way, Those going straight along their paths:" ¹⁶ Let whoever is simple withdraw hither, And whoever has lack of heart wisdom; And she says to him:" ¹⁷ Stolen water is sweet, And bread eaten in concealments is pleasant." ¹⁸ But he does not know that the Rephaim are there, That those she has called are in the depths of the unseen."

²⁴ There are associates disposed to be evildoers, Yet there is one with love more loyal than a brother's."

¹⁴ The mouth of the strange woman is a deep pit; He with whom Yahweh is indignant shall fall thereinto.

²⁶ My son, do give your heart to me, And let your eyes hold my ways dear." ²⁷ For the prostitute is a deep pit, And the foreign woman is a narrow well." ²⁸ Indeed she waits in ambush like an abductor, And she adds to the treacherous ones among mankind."

³ And coming is the Elohim to Abimelech in a dream in the night, and is saying to him, "Behold yourself dying on account of the woman whom you take, when she is possessed by a possessor.

⁶ And saying is the Elohim to him in the dream, "Moreover, I know that, in the sincerity of your heart you did this, and I, moreover, am keeping you back from sinning against Me. Therefore, I did not allow you to touch her.

⁴⁰ You shall be over my household, and at your bidding all my people shall bear weapons. But on the throne will I be greater than you.

¹⁸ And saying to them is Joseph on the third day, "This do and live. The Elohim fear I.

² When a soul sins and offends with an offense against Yahweh and dissimulates against his companion in regard to committal or pledge of hand or pillage, or he extorts from his companion,

¹⁰ As for a man who commits adultery with another man's wife--one who commits adultery with his associate's wife--the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death, yea death.

²³ Yet if you shall not do so, behold, you will have sinned against Yahweh; realize that your sin shall find you.

²⁷ and the mourning passes by, and David sends and gathers her unto his house, and she is to him for a wife, and bears to him a son; and the thing which David has done is evil in the eyes of Yahweh.

¹³ And David said unto Nathan, `I have sinned against Yahweh.' And Nathan said unto David, `Also--Yahweh has caused your sin to pass away; you do not die;"

¹⁵ the former governors who [are] before me have made themselves heavy on the people, and take of them in bread and wine, besides in silver forty shekels; also, their servants have ruled over the people--and I have not done so, because of the fear of Elohim.

¹¹ And I say, `A man such as I--does he flee? and who as I, that does go in unto the temple, and live? --I do not go in..

⁹ If my heart has been enticed by another's wife, Or I have waited in ambush at my associate's portal, ¹⁰ May my wife grind grain for another, And may others crouch down upon her. ¹¹ For that would be a crime, And that would be depravity calling for judiciary mediators. ¹² For that would be a fire that devours unto Abaddon And roots out all my yield.

²³ (Indeed I have an awe of calamity from El, And I am not able to stand before His dignity..

⁴ Against You, against You alone have I sinned And done what is evil in Your eyes, So that You may be justified when You speak, And be cleared when You judge."

³² But he who commits adultery with another's wife has lack of heart wisdom; He is causing ruin to his soul who does it.

⁸ Fed horses--they have been early risers, Each to the wife of his neighbor they neigh." ⁹ For these do I not lay a charge? An affirmation of Yahweh, And on a nation such as this, Does not My soul avenge itself?

¹⁶ Therefore thus said Yahweh, Lo, I am casting you from off the face of the ground; this year you die, for apostasy you have spoken concerning Yahweh.'"

⁷ All finding them have devoured them, And their adversaries have said:We are not guilty, Because that they sinned against Yahweh, The habitation of righteousness, And the hope of their fathers--Yahweh."

⁴⁸ Now he who does not know, yet does what deserves blows, shall have few lashes. Now to everyone to whom much was given, from him much will be sought, and to whom they committed much, more excessively will they be requesting of him."

² Here, furthermore, it is being sought in administrators that any such may be found faithful."

⁹ Or are you not aware that the unjust shall not be enjoying the allotment of God's kingdom? Be not deceived. Neither paramours, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor catamites, nor sodomites, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards; no revilers, no extortioners shall be enjoying the allotment of God's kingdom."

¹⁹ Now apparent are the works of the flesh, which are adultery, prostitution, uncleanness, wantonness, ²⁰ idolatry, enchantment, enmities, strife, jealousies, furies, factions, dissensions, sects, ²¹ envies, murders, drunkennesses, revelries, and the like of these, which, I am predicting to you, according as I predicted also, that those committing such things shall not be enjoying the allotment of the kingdom of God."

¹⁰ not embezzling, but displaying all good faithfulness, that they may be adorning the teaching that is of God, our Saviour, in all things."

⁴ May matrimony be honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, for paramours and adulterers will God be judging."

⁹ Everyone who is begotten of God is not doing sin, for His seed is remaining in him, and he can not be sinning, for he is begotten of God."

⁸ Yet the timid, and unbelievers, and the abominable, and murderers, and paramours, and enchanters, and idolaters, and all the false-their part is in the lake burning with fire and sulphur, which is the second death."

¹⁵ Outside are curs, and enchanters, and paramours, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone fabricating and fondling falsehood."

¹⁵ My son, do not walk in the way with them; Withhold your foot from their track."

³ For the lips of a strange woman drop as the honeycomb, And the words of her palate are slicker than oil."

⁸ Keep your way far from her; Do not go near to the portal of her house,

²⁵ Do not covet after her loveliness in your heart, And do not let her captivate you with her eyelids." ²⁶ For a woman of prostitution hunts for a cake of bread, Yet the adulterous wife of a man hunts the precious soul."

¹⁴ She sits at the portal of her house, On a covered seat at the heights of the town,

¹⁶ Let whoever is simple withdraw hither, And whoever has lack of heart wisdom; And she says to him:"

²⁷ For the prostitute is a deep pit, And the foreign woman is a narrow well."

¹⁸ Flee from prostitution. The penalty of every sin, whatsoever a man should be doing, is outside of the body, yet he who is committing prostitution is sinning against his own body."

³³ Be not deceived: evil conversations are corrupting kind characters.

²² From everything wicked to the perception, abstain."

¹⁴ I am intending, then, that younger widows are to be marrying, bearing children, managing the household, giving an opposer nothing as an incentive favoring reviling,

²² Now youthful desires flee: yet pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with all who are invoking the Lord out of a clean heart."

¹¹ Beloved, I am entreating you, as sojourners and expatriates, to be abstaining from the fleshly lusts which are warring against the soul,

¹⁵ The eye of the adulterer keeps watch for the gloaming, Saying, No eye can regard me; And he places a concealment over his face.

¹⁷ Stolen water is sweet, And bread eaten in concealments is pleasant."

²⁴ Is any one hidden in secret places, And I see him not? an affirmation of Yahweh, Do not I fill the heavens and the earth? An affirmation of Yahweh."

⁵ Then I will come near to you for judgment, and become a hastening witness against the enchanters and against the adulterers, and against those who are swearing in My name to falsehood, and against those extorting the hire of the hireling, and those tyrannizing over the widow and taunting the orphan, and turning aside the sojourner, and do not fear Me, says Yahweh of hosts."

³ Now, all prostitution and uncleanness or greed - let it not even be named among you, according as is becoming in saints -"

¹² for it is a shame even to speak of the hidden things occurring, done by them."

¹⁰ And coming is it, as she speaks to Joseph day by day, that he does not hearken to her to lie beside her, to be with her.

²⁷ And Samuel turns round to go, and he lays hold on the skirt of his upper robe--and it is rent!"

⁵ Rescue yourself like a gazelle from the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the trapper."

¹³ She held him fast and kissed him; She set her face with impudence and said to him: ¹⁴ The sacrifices of peace offerings were due from me; Today I paid my vows. ¹⁵ Therefore, I came forth to meet you, To seek your face early, and I have found you." ¹⁶ I have decorated my divan with decorative covers, With bedspreads of Egyptian yarn." ¹⁷ I have wafted my bed with myrrh, Aloes and cinnamon." ¹⁸ Do come, let us satiate ourselves with affection until the morning; Let us make ourselves joyous with love expressions." ¹⁹ For the husband is not in his home; He has gone on his way afar. ²⁰ He took a pouch of silver in his hand, And he shall come back to his home only with the day of full moon." ²¹ She turned him aside with her great influence; With slick words on her lips she induced him. ²² Suddenly he was going after her, Like a bull that comes to the slaughter, Like a calf to the bonds of foolish creatures, ²³ Until an arrow thrusts through his liver, As through a bird that hastened to the snare When it did not know that it was set for its soul." ²⁴ Now then, my sons, hearken to me, And attend to the sayings of my mouth."

²⁶ I found more bitter than death:That kind of woman whose heart is like weir traps and seine nets, And her hands like bonds; The man doing well before the One, Elohim, he shall escape from her, And the sinner, he shall be seized by her."

³⁰ How weak [is] your heart, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, In your doing all these, The work of a domineering whorish woman." ³¹ In your building your arch at the head of every way, Your high place you have made in every broad place, And--have not been as a whore deriding a gift."

⁵¹ And one, a certain youth, was following with Him, clothed in a linen wrapper on his naked body, and the youths are holding him." ⁵² Yet he, leaving the linen wrapper, fled naked from them."

²¹ And to Shem sons are born. Moreover, he is the forefather of all the sons of Eber. He is a brother of Japheth, the eldest.

¹³ And coming is one who was delivered, and he is telling Abram, the Hebrew. Now he is tabernacling among the oaks of Mamre, the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner. And they are possessors of a covenant with Abram.

⁷ And coming is it after these things, that lifting is the wife of his lord her eyes to Joseph and is saying, "Lie with me.

¹⁷ And speaking is she to him according to these words, saying, "There came to me the Hebrew servant whom you brought to us, to laugh at me, and said to me, `Lie with me..

¹⁵ for verily, stolen was I from the land of the Hebrews, and moreover, here have I done naught that they should place me in this cistern.

¹¹ Malicious witnesses arise; They ask me that which I do not know;

³ And I am discomfited by the voice of the enemy, Because of the pressure of the wicked. For they are slipping lawlessness upon me And are assailing me in anger."

³ What shall He give to you, And what more shall He add for you, Deceitful tongue?

¹⁸ He who covers up hatred has false lips, And he who brings forth gossip, he is stupid."

⁷ Hearken to Me, knowers of righteousness, My people with My law in their heart. You must not fear the reproach of a mortal, and by their taunts you must not be dismayed."

¹⁷ Any implement formed against you shall not prosper, and any tongue which rises against you for judgment you shall condemn. This is the allotment of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness is from Me,averring is Yahweh."

⁵ The near and the far-off from you scoff at you, O defiled of name--abounding in trouble."

¹¹ "Happy are you whenever they should be reproaching and persecuting you and, falsifying, saying every wicked thing against you, on my account.

⁵⁹ Now the chief priests and the elders and the whole Sanhedrin sought false testimony against Jesus, so that they should be putting Him to death,

² Now they begin to accuse Him, saying, "This man we found perverting our nation and forbidding to be giving taxes to Caesar, and saying himself to be Christ, a king."

⁸ through glory and dishonor, through defamation and renown, as deceivers and true,

²⁰ For what credit is it if, sinning and being buffeted, you will be enduring it? But if, doing good and suffering, you will be enduring, this is grace with God."

¹⁴ Yet if you may be suffering also because of righteousness, happy are you. Now you may not be afraid with their fear, nor yet be disturbed, ¹⁵ yet hallow the Lord Christ in your hearts, ever ready with a defense for everyone who is demanding from you an account concerning the expectation in you, but with meekness and fear, ¹⁶ having a good conscience, that, in what they are speaking against you as of evildoers, they may be mortified, who traduce your good behavior in Christ." ¹⁷ For it is better to be suffering for doing good, if the will of God may be willing, than for doing evil, ¹⁸ seeing that Christ also, for our sakes, once died concerning sins, the just for the sake of the unjust, that He may be leading us to God; being put to death, indeed, in flesh, yet vivified in spirit,

¹⁴ If you are being reproached in the name of Christ, happy are you, for the spirit of glory and power, and that of God, has come to rest on you." ¹⁵ For let not any of you be suffering as a murderer, or a thief, or an evildoer, or as an interferer in other's affairs;" ¹⁶ yet if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, yet let him be glorifying God in this name, ¹⁷ seeing that it is the era for the judgment to begin from the house of God. Now if first from us, what is the consummation of those who are stubborn as to God's evangel? ¹⁸ And, "If the just one is hardly being saved, where will the irreverent and the sinner appear? ¹⁹ So that, let those also who are suffering according to the will of God commit their souls to a faithful Creator in the doing of good."

¹² The wicked one is scheming against the righteous one, And is gnashing his teeth at him."

³² The wicked is watching for the righteous one And is seeking to put him to death.

²² For my people [are] foolish, me they have not known, Foolish sons [are] they, yea, they [are] not intelligent, Wise [are] they to do evil, And to do good they have not known."

³ And they bend their tongue, their bow [is] a lie, And not for stedfastness have they been mighty in the land, For from evil unto evil they have gone forth, And Me they have not known, An affirmation of Yahweh!" ⁴ Each of his friend--beware you, And on any brother, do not trust, For every brother does utterly supplant, For every friend slanderously does walk, ⁵ And each at his friend they mock, And truth they do not speak, They taught their tongue to speak falsehood, To commit iniquity they have labored."

³ For we also were once foolish, stubborn, deceived, slaves of various desires and gratifications, leading a life in malice and envy, detestable, hating one another."

¹⁴ that calling is she to the mortals of her household and is speaking to them, saying, "See! He brings to us a man, a Hebrew to laugh at us. He comes to me saying, `Lie with me,' and calling am I with a loud voice.

¹⁶ You shall not answer against your associate with false testimony.

¹ You shall not carry a futile report; do not set your hand with the wicked to become a malicious witness.

¹⁷ and it comes to pass at Ahab's seeing Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, `Are you he--the troubler of Israel?.

⁹ and she writes in the letters, saying, `Proclaim a fast, and cause Naboth to sit at the head of the people, <sup>10</sup> and cause two men--sons of worthlessness--to sit over-against him, and they testify of him, saying, You have blessed Elohim and Melech; and they have brought him out, and stoned him, and he dies.. <sup>11</sup> And the men of his city, the elders and the freemen who are dwelling in his city, do as Jezebel has sent unto them, as written in the letters that she sent unto them, <sup>12</sup> they have proclaimed a fast, and caused Naboth to sit at the head of the people, <sup>13</sup> and two men--sons of worthlessness--come in, and sit over-against him, and the men of worthlessness testify of him, even Naboth, before the people, saying, `Naboth blessed Elohim and Melech;' and they take him out to the outside of the city, and stone him with stones, and he dies;"

¹⁴ The wicked unloose the sword, And they position their bow, To cast down the humbled and the needy one, To slaughter the upright of way."

² O Yahweh, do rescue my soul From the false lip, From the deceitful tongue." ³ What shall He give to you, And what more shall He add for you, Deceitful tongue? ⁴ He will send arrows of the masterful, whetted With glowing embers of broom!"

¹⁹ The lip of truth is established into the future, Yet the false tongue lasts only for a moment."

⁵ A false witness shall not be held innocent, And he who breathes out lies shall not escape."

⁹ A false witness shall not be held innocent, And he who breathes out lies shall perish."

⁶⁵ Then the chief priest tears his garments, saying that "He blasphemes! What need have we still of witnesses? Lo! now you hear his blasphemy!"

⁵ yet to Cain and to his present offering He does not give heed. And hot is Cain's anger exceedingly, and falling is his face. ⁶ And saying is Yahweh Elohim to Cain, "Why is your anger hot? And why does your face fall?

¹⁶ I was father to the needy ones, And the contention of him I knew not, I would investigate it.

³⁴ For jealousy incites the fury of a master, And he shall not spare in the day of vengeance;" ³⁵ He shall not respect any sheltering gift And shall not be willing to relent though you increase the bribe.

¹⁷ The first pleader seems right in his contention Until his associate comes and investigates him.

¹² If a ruler attends to the word of falsehood, All his ministers will be wicked."

⁷ Many waters cannot quench love, Nor can streams overwhelm it. If a man should give all the wealth of his house for love, People would despise, yea despise it."

¹⁶ to whom I answered that it is not the custom for Romans to surrender as a favor any man ere the accused may have the accusers face to face, besides getting a defensive position concerning the indictment."

¹¹ And therefore God will be sending them an operation of deception, for them to believe the falsehood,

¹ And coming is it, after these things, that sinned have the chief cupbearer of the king of Egypt, and the chief baker against their lord, the king of Egypt. ² And wroth is Pharaoh over his two eunuchs, over the chief of the cupbearers and over the chief of the bakers. ³ And giving them is he over in ward in the house of the chief of the executioners, to the round-house, the place where Joseph was bound.

⁹ And speaking is the chief of the cupbearers to Pharaoh, saying, "Of my sin am I reminded today. ¹⁰ Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and gave us in ward in the house of the chief of the executioners, me and the chief of the bakers. ¹¹ And dreaming are we a dream in the same night, I and he. Each man dreamed according to the interpretation of his dream. ¹² And there with us was a Hebrew lad, a servant of the chief of the executioners. And we related them to him and he is interpreting for us our dreams. For each man, according to his dream, he interpreted. ¹³ And coming is it that, as he interpreted to us, so it comes to be. Me he restores to my post, and him he hanged. ¹⁴ And sending is Pharaoh and calling Joseph. And running him are they from the cistern. And shaving is he and changing his garments, and coming to Pharaoh.

¹⁰ For the fury of humanity, it is acclaiming You; The remainder of the fury shall celebrate to You."

¹⁸ They humbled his feet in fetters; His soul was inserted in iron ¹⁹ Until the era when His word came to pass, When the saying of Yahweh had refined him."

⁸ From restraint and from judgment is He taken, and on His generation, who shall meditate? For He was severed from the land of the living; because of the transgression of My people was He touched by death."

²¹ Then these masters truss them up in their mantles, their turbans on their heads, their garb and their clothing, and heave them into the midst of the glowing, flaming furnace." ²² Wherefore--because the king's matter is urgent, and the furnace heated redundantly, seven units more than aforetime--these masters who were chosen to truss them up and to approach the furnace and hoist Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego:Despatched are they by the flare of the flame."

⁹ in which I am suffering evil unto bonds as a malefactor - but the word of God is not bound.

¹⁹ for this is grace, if, because of consciousness of God, anyone is undergoing sorrows, suffering unjustly."

² And coming is Yahweh to be with Joseph, and becoming is he a prosperous man. And coming is he to be in the house of his lord, the Egyptian.

³ And giving them is he over in ward in the house of the chief of the executioners, to the round-house, the place where Joseph was bound.

²³ and bitter were they with him, and contended and begrudging him were the archers, ²⁴ yet broken in virility is their bow, and slack are the arms of their hands. From the hands of the Sturdy One of Jacob, thence is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel,

²¹ And I will give this people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians. It will come to be that when you are going you shall not go empty-handed,

³ And Yahweh gave the people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians, when they requested of them. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the eyes of the Egyptians, in the eyes of the servants of Pharaoh and in the eyes of the people.

³⁶ And Yahweh, He gave the people favor in the eyes of the Egyptians, when they requested them; thus they despoiled the Egyptians.

¹⁹ Until the era when His word came to pass, When the saying of Yahweh had refined him."

²² To discipline his chiefs at his soul's desire, So that he should make his elders wise."

⁴⁶ He gave them over to compassions Before all those holding them captive.

⁹ Elohim is showing Daniel kindness and compassion before the chief of the eunuchs.

²² My Eloah sent His messenger, and he closed the mouths of the lions that they could not harm me; forasmuch as before Him it is found that I am purged; and indeed, also before you, O king, no harm have I done."

³¹ What then, shall we declare to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? ³² Surely, He Who spares not His own Son, but gives Him up for us all, how shall He not, together with Him, also, be graciously granting us all?

³⁷ Nay! in all these we are more than conquering through Him Who loves us.

¹³ And is there anyone who will be illtreating you, if you should become zealous of good? ¹⁴ Yet if you may be suffering also because of righteousness, happy are you. Now you may not be afraid with their fear, nor yet be disturbed,

¹⁷ For it is better to be suffering for doing good, if the will of God may be willing, than for doing evil,

¹⁴ If you are being reproached in the name of Christ, happy are you, for the spirit of glory and power, and that of God, has come to rest on you." ¹⁵ For let not any of you be suffering as a murderer, or a thief, or an evildoer, or as an interferer in other's affairs;" ¹⁶ yet if as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, yet let him be glorifying God in this name,

⁶ And leaving is he all that is his in the hand of Joseph. And naught knows he of his, save the bread which he is eating. And coming is Joseph to have a lovely shape and a lovely appearance. ⁷ And coming is it after these things, that lifting is the wife of his lord her eyes to Joseph and is saying, "Lie with me.

⁹ No one is greater in this house than I, and he has not kept back aught from me save you, in that you are his wife. And how shall I do this great evil and sin against the Elohim?

³ And giving them is he over in ward in the house of the chief of the executioners, to the round-house, the place where Joseph was bound. ⁴ And the chief of the executioners gives Joseph the supervision over them, and he is ministering to them. And coming are they to be some days in ward.

³⁰ `Therefore--the affirmation of Yahweh, Elohim of Israel--I certainly said, Your house and the house of your father, do walk up and down before Me to the eon; and now--the affirmation of Yahweh--Far be it from Me! for he who is honoring Me, I honor, and those despising Me, are lightly esteemed.

³ Trust in Yahweh, and do good; Tabernacle in the land, and graze in faithfulness."

¹¹ Yet the humbled ones, they shall tenant the land, And they will find pleasure in the abundance of well-being."

² And coming is Yahweh to be with Joseph, and becoming is he a prosperous man. And coming is he to be in the house of his lord, the Egyptian. ³ And seeing is his lord that Yahweh is with him and that all that he is doing Yahweh is prospering in his hand.

³ Trust in Yahweh, and do good; Tabernacle in the land, and graze in faithfulness." ⁴ Find pleasure in Yahweh, And He shall give you the requests of your heart." ⁵ Hand over your way to Yahweh; Trust Him, and He shall do it." ⁶ So He will make your righteousness shine forth like the light, And your right judgment like the noonday sun." ⁷ Be still before Yahweh, and wait for Him; Do not grow hot because someone prospers his way, Because a man is carrying out his schemes;" ⁸ Hold back from anger, and forsake fury; Do not grow hot; it leads only to evil." ⁹ For the evildoers, they shall be cut off, Yet those expecting Yahweh, they shall tenant the land." ¹⁰ And still a little while, and there will be no wicked one; When you consider his place, he will not be there." ¹¹ Yet the humbled ones, they shall tenant the land, And they will find pleasure in the abundance of well-being."
