1 In the year the Tartan came to Ashdod, when he was sent by Sargon, king of Assyria, then he is fighting against Ashdod and seizing it." 2 In that era Yahweh speaks by the hand of Isaiah, son of Amoz, saying, "Go and unloose the sackcloth off your waist, and your sandals shall you pull off your feet.And he is doing so, to go naked and barefoot." 3 And saying is Yahweh, "As My servant Isaiah goes naked and barefoot, a three year sign and miracle representing Egypt and Ethiopia, 4 so shall the king of Assyria lead the captives of Egypt, and the deportation of Ethiopia, youths and elders, naked and barefoot, with bared buttock, the nakedness of Egypt." 5 And they are dismayed and ashamed because of Ethiopia, their trust, and because of Egypt, their beauty." 6 And the dwellers of this coastland say in that day, `Behold! Thus is our trust, where we fled for help, to be rescued from the face of the king of Assyria, and how shall we escape?'"

1 Thus said Yahweh unto me, `Go, and you have got for you a girdle of linen, and have placed it on your loins, and into water you do not cause it to enter:'" 2 and I get the girdle, according to the word of Yahweh, and I place [it] on my loins." 3 And there is a word of Yahweh unto me a second time, saying, 4 `Take the girdle that you have got, that [is] on your loins, and rise, go to Phrat, and hide it there in a hole of the rock;" 5 and I go and hide it by Phrat, as Yahweh commanded me." 6 And it comes to pass, at the end of many days, that Yahweh said unto me, `Rise, go to Phrat, and take thence the girdle, that I commanded you to hide there;'" 7 and I go to Phrat, and dig, and take the girdle from the place where I had hid it; and lo, the girdle has been marred, it is not profitable for anything." 8 And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, `Thus said Yahweh:" 9 Thus do I mar the excellency of Judah, And the great excellency of Jerusalem." 10 This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, Who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, And go after other elohims to serve them, And to bow themselves to them, Yea it is--as this girdle, that is not profitable for anything." 11 For, as the girdle cleaves unto the loins of a man, So I caused to cleave unto Me The whole house of Israel, And the whole house of Judah, an affirmation of Yahweh, To be to Me for a people, and for a name, And for praise, and for beauty, And they have not hearkened."

Jeremiah 19:1-15

1 Thus said Yahweh, `Go, and you have got a potter's earthen vessel, and of the elders of the people, and of the elders of the priests, 2 and you have gone forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, that [is] at the opening of the gate of the pottery, and have proclaimed there the words that I speak unto you, 3 and have said, Hear a word of Yahweh, you kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:`Lo, I am bringing in evil on this place, at which the ears of every one who is hearing it do tingle, 4 because that they have forsaken Me, and make known this place, and make perfume in it to other elohims, that they knew not, they and their fathers, and the kings of Judah, and they have filled this place [with] innocent blood, 5 and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons with fire, burnt-offerings to Baal, that I commanded not, nor spoke of, nor did it come up on My heart." 6 `Therefore, lo, days are coming--an affirmation of Yahweh--and this place is not called any more, Tophet, and Valley of the son of Hinnom, but, Valley of slaughter." 7 And I have made void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, and have caused them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of those seeking their life, and I have given their carcase for food to the fowl of the heavens, and to the beast of the earth, 8 and I have made this city for a desolation, and for a hissing, every passer by it is astonished, and does hiss for all its plagues." 9 And I have caused them to eat the flesh of their sons, and the flesh of their daughters, and each the flesh of his friend they do eat, in the siege and in the straitness with which straiten them do their enemies, and those seeking their life." 10 `And you have broken the bottle before the eyes of the men who are going with you, 11 and have said unto them:Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Thus do I break this people and this city, as one breaks the potter's vessel, that is not able to be repaired again, and in Tophet they bury--without place to bury;" 12 so I do to this place--an affirmation of Yahweh--and to its inhabitants, so as to make this city as Tophet;" 13 and the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, have been--as the place of Tophet--defiled, even all the houses on whose roofs they have made perfume to all the host of the heavens, so as to pour out oblations to other elohims.'" 14 And Jeremiah comes in from Tophet, whither Yahweh had sent him to prophesy, and he stands in the court of the house of Yahweh, and he said unto all the people:" 15 `Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am bringing in unto this city, and on all its cities, all the evil that I have spoken against it, for they have hardened their neck--not to hear My words!'"

Ezekiel 4:5

5 And I--I have laid on you the years of their iniquity, the number of days, three hundred and ninety days; and you have borne the iniquity of the house of Israel."

Ezekiel 24:17

And summer on them will the bird of prey, and every beast of the earth will winter on them." 7 In that era, an indemnity shall be fetched to Yahweh of hosts from the people in suspense and trepidation, and from a people fearful, from its boundary and beyond, a nation at the confluences of waters and eroding, from which the streams plunder its land, to the place of the Name of Yahweh of hosts, called mount Zion."

Isaiah 37:9

9 And hearing is the king of Assyria concerning Tirhakah, king of Ethiopia, saying, "He fares forth to fight you.When hearing this, he returns, and is sending messengers to Hezekiah, saying,

Isaiah 30:15-16
