¹ Woe! Ariel! Ariel! The town of the camp of David. Your progeny gather year after year. Celebrations are they compassing. ² Yet I constrain Ariel, and there comes complaint and complaining. And it comes to be to Me as a lion subjector, ³ and I camp as David against you, and I besiege you with siege works, and I raise against you towers, ⁴ and abased, from the earth are you speaking, and from the soil, prostrated is your saying, and your voice comes, as a medium, from the earth, and your saying is chirping from the soil." ⁵ And, as thin powder, comes the throng of your foes, and, as passing trash, the throng of the terrifiers. And it comes for an instant, ⁶ suddenly from Yahweh of hosts, you are visited with thunder, and with a quaking and a great sound, a sweeping whirlwind and tempest, and a blaze of fire devouring." ⁷ And it comes to be as a dream, a vision of the night, the throng of all the nations, the hosts against Ariel, and all her host and her constriction, and that which is constraining her." ⁸ And it comes to be as when one who is famishing is dreaming, and, behold! Eating is he! Yet he awakes and empty is his soul. And as when one who is thirsty is dreaming, and, behold! Drinking is he! And he awakes, and behold! Faint is he, and his soul is prowling. So is becoming the throng of all the nations, the hosts against mount Zion." ⁹ Dally and be amazed! Regale yourself and revel! Be drunk, yet not from wine! Sway, yet not from an intoxicant!" ¹⁰ For Yahweh has libated on you a spirit of stupor. And He is restraining your eyes, that is, the prophets, and your heads, the vision seers, He covers." ¹¹ And to you are all visions becoming as the words of a sealed scroll, which they are giving him acquainted with the scroll, saying, "Read this, pray.And he says, "I cannot, for it is sealed." ¹² And the scroll is given to one who is not acquainted with the scroll, saying, "Read this, pray.And he says, "I am not acquainted with a scroll." ¹³ And saying is Yahweh, "Forasmuch as close to Me is this people with their mouth, and with their lips they glorify Me, yet their heart is far from Me, and their fear of Me is becoming as the instruction of mortals' teaching." ¹⁴ Wherefore, behold Me! I will proceed to distribute this people, and I am distributing them. And perish shall the wisdom of their wise, and the understanding of their understanding ones shall conceal itself." ¹⁵ Woe to those digging deep, to conceal counsel from Yahweh, and it comes that their doings are in darkness. And saying are they, `Who sees us?' And `Who knows us?'" ¹⁶ O! Your waywardness! Should as clay, the Potter be accounted? For is what is made saying of its Maker, `He did not make me'? And does the formed say of its Former, `He does not understand'? ¹⁷ Is it only a little bit, and Lebanon turns back to crop land, and the crop land for wildwood will be accounted? ¹⁸ And the deaf will hear, in that day, the words of a scroll, and from gloom, and from darkness, blind eyes shall see, ¹⁹ and the humble will continue to rejoice in Yahweh, and the needy of humanity will exult in the Holy One of Israel." ²⁰ For the limit will be reached by the terrifier, and finished will be the mocker, and cut off will be all alert for lawlessness, ²¹ those who make a human a sinner by a word, and the corrector in the gateway do they trap, and will turn aside the righteous into a chaos." ²² Wherefore, thus says Yahweh to the house of Jacob, He Who distinguished Abraham:"Not now is Jacob ashamed, and not now is the face of Israel hot." ²³ For when they see their boys, the work of My hands, within them, they will hallow My name, and they will hallow the Holy One of Jacob, and by the Elohim of Israel shall they be terrified." ²⁴ And those straying in spirit shall know understanding, and the grumblers shall learn influence, and the deriders tongues shall learn to talk welfare."

⁹ And David dwells in the fortress, and calls it--City of David, and David builds round about, from Millo and inward,

¹¹ Why, to Me, your many sacrifices?saying is Yahweh. "I am surfeited with ascent approaches of rams, and the fat of fatlings, and in the blood of young bulls and he-lambs and he-goats I do not delight." ¹² In case you are coming to appear before Me--Who seeks this from your hand, to tramp My courts? ¹³ Do not continue to bring a futile approach present. Incense--it is an abhorrence to Me! The new moon and the sabbath, the calling of a meeting--! I cannot bear a fast and a day of restraint!" ¹⁴ Your new moons and your appointments are hated by My soul. They become an encumbrance to Me. I am tired of bearing them. ¹⁵ And when you spread your palms to Me, I will obscure My eyes from you. Moreover, in case you are increasing your prayers, there is no hearing by Me. Your hands are full of blood. Amidst your fingers extrudes lawlessness."

¹² And my Lord, Yahweh of hosts, will call for lamentation in that day, and for wailing, and for baldness, and for girding on sackcloth;" ¹³ yet behold! Elation will they make and rejoicing, killing an ox and slaying from the flock, eating flesh and drinking wine, saying, "Eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die."

⁹ And its crag, from shrinking, shall pass, and dismayed are its chiefs from fleeing.Thus averring is Yahweh, whose light is in Zion, and his lamp is in Jerusalem."

³ Yet the wicked one-- the slaying of a bull, to Me is as smiting a man, sacrificing a flockling is as breaking the neck of a cur, bringing up an approach present is as the blood of a swine, making a memorial of frankincense is as blessing lawlessness. Moreover, they choose their own ways, and in their abominations their soul delights."

²¹ Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel, Your burnt-offerings add to your sacrifices, And eat you flesh."

¹⁵ `And the altar [is] four cubits, and from the altar and upward [are] four horns." ¹⁶ And the altar [is] twelve long by twelve broad, square in its four squares."

⁶ With their flock and with their herd they shall go to seek Yahweh, and they shall not find Him; He liberates Himself from them."

¹³ even sacrifices of My bounties. They are sacrificing flesh, and they are eating it. Yahweh does not accept them. Now He is remembering their depravity and is noting their sins. They shall return to Egypt."

⁴ They shall not libate wine to Yahweh, and they shall not be congenial to Him. Their sacrifices are as the bread of sighings to them. All who are eating it are defiling themselves. For their bread is for their own soul; it shall not enter into the house of Yahweh."

⁴ Come to Bethel and transgress! At Gilgal increase the transgression! And bring your sacrifices for the morning, and your tithes for three days!" ⁵ And fume incense with leaven as acclamation, and proclaim the voluntary vows! Announce it, for so you love, sons of Israel, (averring is my Lord Yahweh)."

⁶ With what shall I forestall Yahweh, and be bending to my Elohim of the height? Shall I forestall Him with ascent approaches, with calves a year old? ⁷ Will Yahweh accept thousands of rams, with myriads of watercourses of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my belly for the sin of my soul?

¹ For the law, having a shadow of the impending good things, not the selfsame image of the matters, they, with their same sacrifices which they are offering year by year, are never able to perfect to a finality those approaching."

²⁶ And complain and mourn shall your portals, and empty on the earth shall you sit."

²⁵ Therefore the anger of Yahweh of hosts is hot among His people, and He is stretching out His hand over them, and smiting them. And disturbed are the chiefs, and their carcasses are becoming as sweepings within the streets. In all this His anger does not reverse, and His hand is outstretched still." ²⁶ And He lifts up a banner for nations from afar, and He hisses for one from the outmost part of the earth, and, behold! Hastily, fleetly is it coming." ²⁷ None is faint and none is stumbling in it. None is slumbering nor sleeping, nor is opened the belt of his loins, nor is pulled away the lacing of his sandals;" ²⁸ whose arrows are whetted, and all their bows are bent. The hoofs of his horses as rock are reckoned, and his chariot wheels as a sweeping whirlwind." ²⁹ Its roaring is like the parent lion's; and the tumult like the sheltered lions, and he is growling and holding the prey, and there is no retrieving or rescuing." ³⁰ And he is growling over him in that day as the growling of the billowing sea. And behold! Darkness, distress, and the light is kept back in terror."

⁵ Woe, Assyria! Club of My anger! And a rod! He, in their hand, is My menace!" ⁶ Among a nation polluted will I send him. And against a people, object of My rage, will I instruct him. To loot loot and to plunder plunder, and to place them for tramping, as the clay of the streets."

³² Still today in Nob is he to stand! He is waving his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, and at the hills of Jerusalem."

¹⁴ At eventide comes mourning. Ere morning, there is no one. This is the portion of our robbers, and the lot of our plunderers."

¹ Behold, Yahweh making void, the land, and evacuating it! And He denudes its surface, and scatters its dwellers." ² And it comes to be, as people, so priest, as servant, so his lord, as maid, so her mistress, as buyer, so seller, as borrowee, so borrower, as lender, so him to whom is lent." ³ Voided, yea voided shall be the land, and plundered, yea plundered shall be the ground. For the mouth of Yahweh speaks this word." ⁴ Mournful, disintegrated is the earth. Enfeebled, disintegrated is the habitance. Enfeebled are the heights of the people of the land, ⁵ and the land is polluted under its dwellers. For they trespass against the laws; they vary the statute; they annul the covenant eonian. ⁶ Therefore an imprecation devours the land, and dwellers in it are guilty. Therefore the dwellers are drained out of the land, and there remain but a bit of the mortals." ⁷ Mournful is the grape juice; enfeebled is the vine. Sigh does every rejoicing heart. ⁸ Cease does the elation of tambourines. Left off is the tumult of the joyous. Cease does the elation of the harp. ⁹ Ashamed, they are drinking no wine. And the intoxicant is bitter to its drinkers." ¹⁰ Broken is every town--a chaos. Locked is every house against entry. ¹¹ Yelling over the wine is in the streets; the eventide is it for all rejoicing. Deported is all the elation of the land. ¹² And there remains in the city, desolation, and houses, forsaken, perish, and a tumult is pounding the gate."

⁷ Behold! Their lion-subjectors cry outside. The messengers of welfare are bitterly lamenting. ⁸ Desolated are the highways. The passer of the path ceases. He annuls the covenant, he rejects witnesses. He does not take account of a mortal." ⁹ Mournful, enfeebled is the land. Abashed is Lebanon; it is withered. And Sharon has become as a gorge. And denuded are Bashan and Carmel."

⁶ The sword of Yahweh will be full of blood. It lubricates itself from the fat of lambs, and from the blood of butting rams and he-goats, from the fat of kidneys of rams. For there shall be a sacrifice to Yahweh in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom."

²² And coming are Eliakim, son of Hilkiah, who is over the household, and Shebna, the scribe, and Joah, son of Asaph, the recorder, to Hezekiah, with torn garments, and they are telling him the words of the grand cupbearer."

³ And they are saying to him, "Thus says Hezekiah, `A day of distress and correction and spurning is this day, for sons have come unto the breaking forth, yet there is no vigor to bear."

²⁸ `Therefore, thus said Yahweh, Lo, I am giving this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he has captured it;" <sup>29</sup> And come in have the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city, and they have set this city on fire, and have burned it, and the houses on whose roofs they made perfume to Baal, and poured out libations to other elohims, so as to provoke Me to anger." <sup>30</sup> For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been only doing evil in Mine eyes, from their youth; for the sons of Israel are only provoking Me with the work of their hands--an affirmation of Yahweh." <sup>31</sup> `For a cause of Mine anger, and a cause of My fury, has this city been to Me, even from the day that they built it, and unto this day--to turn it aside from before My face, ³² Because of all the evil of the sons of Israel, and of the sons of Judah that they have done, so as to provoke Me--they, their kings, their heads, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem."

⁴ And it comes to pass, when Zedekiah king of Judah, and all the men of war, have seen them, that they flee and go forth by night from the city, the way of the king's garden, through the gate between the two walls, and he goes forth the way of the plain." ⁵ And the forces of the Chaldeans pursue after them, and overtake Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and they take him, and bring him up unto Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he speaks with him--judgments."

⁵ Yahweh has become like an enemy; He has swallowed up Israel; He has swallowed up all her citadels; He has ruined its fortresses; And He is multiplying, in the daughter of Judah, complaint and complaining."

³¹ And I pour out on them mine indignation, By fire of My wrath I have consumed them, Their way on their own head I have put, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

³ and use unto the rebellious house a simile, and you have said unto them:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:To set on the pot, to set [it] on, and also to pour into it water, ⁴ To gather its pieces unto it, every good piece, Thigh and shoulder, the choice of the bones to fill in." ⁵ The choice of the flock to take, And also to pile of the bones under it, Boil it thoroughly, yea, cook its bones in its midst." ⁶ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe [to] the city of blood, A pot whose scum [is] in it, And its scum has not come out of it, By piece of it, by piece of it bring it out, Not fallen on it has a lot." ⁷ For her blood in her midst has been, On a clear place of a rock she has set it, She has not poured it on the earth, To cover it over with dust." ⁸ To cause fury to come up to take vengeance, I have put her blood on a clear place of a rock--not to be covered." ⁹ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe [to] the city of blood, yea, I--I make great the pile." ¹⁰ Make abundant the wood, Kindle the fire, consume the flesh, And make the compound, And let the bones be burnt." ¹¹ And cause it to stand on its coals empty, So that its brass is hot and burning, Melted has been in its midst its uncleanness, Consumed is its scum." ¹² [With] sorrows she has wearied herself, And the abundance of her scum goes not out of her, In the fire [is] her scum." ¹³ In your uncleanness [is] wickedness, Because I have cleansed you, And you have not been cleansed, From your uncleanness you are not cleansed again, Till I have caused My fury to rest on you."

¹⁷ And you, son of man, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Say to the bird--every wing, and to every beast of the field:Be assembled and come in, Be gathered from round about, For My sacrifice that I am sacrificing for you, A great sacrifice on mountains of Israel, And you have eaten flesh, and drunk blood."

⁷ Hist! At the presence of my Lord, Yahweh, for near is the day of Yahweh! For Yahweh prepares a sacrifice; he sanctifies His called ones." ⁸ It comes in the day of Yahweh's sacrifice that I visit evil on the chiefs and on the king's sons, and on all those clothed in foreign clothing."

¹⁷ And I perceived another messenger, standing in the sun. And he cries with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which are flying in mid-heaven, "Hither! Be gathered for the great dinner of God, ¹⁸ that you may be eating the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of the strong, and the flesh of horses and of those sitting on them, and the flesh of all freemen as well as slaves, and of small and of great."

¹⁷ And the king of Asshur sends Tartan, and the chief of the eunuchs, and the chief of the butlers, from Lachish, unto king Hezekiah, with a heavy force, to Jerusalem, and they go up and come in to Jerusalem, and they go up, and come in and stand by the conduit of the upper pool that [is] in the highway of the fuller's field.

³² Therefore, thus said Yahweh, Concerning the king of Asshur:He does not come in unto this city, Nor does he shoot there an arrow, Nor does he come before it with shield. Nor does he pour out against it a mount.

¹¹ and Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon comes against the city, and his servants are laying siege to it, ¹² and Jehoiachin king of Judah goes out unto the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his chiefs, and his eunuchs, and the king of Babylon takes him in the eighth year of his reign,

¹ And it comes to pass, in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, come has Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, he and all his force, against Jerusalem, and encamps against it, and builds against it a fortification round about. ² And the city enters into siege till the eleventh year of king Zedekiah, ³ on the ninth of the month--when the famine is severe in the city, and there has not been bread for the people of the land, ⁴ then the city is broken up, and all the men of war [go] by night the way of the gate, between the two walls that [are] by the garden of the king, and the Chaldeans [are] against the city round about, and [the king] goes the way of the plain.

²² At his right has been the divination--Jerusalem, To place battering-rams, To open the mouth with slaughter, To lift up a voice with shouting, To place battering-rams against the gates, To pour out a mount, to build a fortification."

⁷ Now the king is angered, and, sending his troops, destroys those murderers and sets their city in flames."

⁴³ for the days will be arriving on you, and your enemies will be casting up a rampart about you, and will be surrounding you, and will be pressing you everywhere, ⁴⁴ and will be leveling you and your children in you, and they will not be leaving a stone on a stone in you, because you knew not the era of your visitation."

²⁵ For our soul has been prostrated to the soil; Our belly clings to the earth.

¹¹ The eyes of the haughty human are low, and prostrate is the highness of mortals, and Yahweh alone is impregnable in that day." ¹² For a day for Yahweh of hosts is on everyone proud and high, and on everyone lifted up, and abased is he." ¹³ And on all cedars of Lebanon, high and uplifted, and on all oaks of Bashan, ¹⁴ and on all the high mountains, and on all the uplifted hills, ¹⁵ and on every lofty tower, and on every wall for defense, ¹⁶ and on all the ships of Tharshish, and on all the displays of coveted boats." ¹⁷ And prostrate is the haughtiness of humanity, and abased is the highness of mortals, and Yahweh alone is impregnable in that day." ¹⁸ And the forbidden idols are completely thrust away. ¹⁹ And they come into caves of the rocks, and into tunnels of the soil, from the face of awe-inspiring Yahweh, and from the honor of His pomp, when He rises to terrify the earth." ²⁰ In that day humanity shall fling its forbidden idols of silver, and its forbidden idols of gold, which they make for it to worship, to the mole rats, and to the bats, ²¹ to come into the fissures of the rocks, and into the forks of the crags, from the face of awe-inspiring Yahweh, and from the honor of His pomp, when He rises to terrify the earth."

⁸ For faltered has Jerusalem, and Judah falls, for their tongue is offensive, and their actions against Yahweh are defiant, therefore, now, humbled is their glory."

¹⁹ And in case they shall say to you, "Inquire of the mediums, and of the ventriloquists, and of the wizards, the chirpers and the cooers,Should not a people of its Elohim inquire? Who inquires about the living of the dead?

²³ and I place it in the hand of your afflictors and your humblers, who say to your soul, `Prostrate, and we will pass.' And you are placing your body as the earth, and as a street for passers."

⁹ Her uncleanness is in her skirts, she was not mindful of her future; So she has come down most marvelously; there was no one to comfort her. See, O Yahweh, my humiliation, for the enemy magnified himself."

¹⁸ Do they become like crushed straw before the wind, Or like trash that the sweeping whirlwind steals away?

⁴ Not so the wicked, But rather they are like the trash that the wind whisks away.

⁵ May they become like trash before the wind, With a messenger of Yahweh expelling them."

⁵ Elohim is within it; it shall never slip; Elohim shall help it at the presence of the morning. ⁶ The nations clamor; the kingdoms slip; He will give forth His voice; the earth shall dissolve.

⁵ The sturdy of heart are looted; They slumber in their last sleep, And none of the men of valor can use their hands." ⁶ At Your rebuke, O Elohim of Jacob, Stupefied are both rider and horse."

¹⁶ Wherefore, the Lord Yahweh of hosts will send upon his stout ones leanness. And under his glory will glow a glowing as the glowing of fire." ¹⁷ And the Light of Israel will come to be a fire, and his Holy One to be a blaze, and it consumes and devours his spines and his buckthorns in one day, ¹⁸ and quenched is the glory of his wildwood, and his crop land. From the soul and unto the flesh, will He finish. And it comes to be as a fleeing when fleeing from a consuming blaze." ¹⁹ And the remainder of the trees of his wildwood will be a number that a lad will list them.

¹³ The folkstems shall be tumulted as the tumult of many waters, yet He rebukes them, and they flee far off, and they will be pursued as the trash of the winnowers before the wind, and as a tumbleweed before a sweeping whirlwind." ¹⁴ At eventide comes mourning. Ere morning, there is no one. This is the portion of our robbers, and the lot of our plunderers."

⁵ As drought in an arid place, the tumult of the arrogant are You quelling. As drought in the shadow of a thick cloud, the psalm of the terrifier is He humbling."

¹³ wherefore, this depravity will come to you as a falling breach, an extrusion in a wall impregnable, of which, suddenly, in an instant, its break is coming."

³ Yet Egyptians are human and not the El, and their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When Yahweh is stretching out His hand, then the helper falters; and he who is helped falls. And, together, all of them will be finished."

⁸ And Assyria will fall by a sword, not of a man, and a sword, not of a human, shall devour it. And it flees, not from the presence of the sword, yet its choice men shall become a labor levy."

³⁶ And faring forth is a messenger of Yahweh and smiting in the Assyrian camp a hundred and eighty five thousand. And the king is rising early in the morning--and behold! All of them are corpses--dead!

³ Now whenever they may be saying "Peace and security,then extermination is standing by them unawares, even as a pang over the pregnant, and they may by no means escape."

¹⁰ Yahweh--broken down are His adversaries, Against them in the heavens He thunders:Yahweh judges the ends of earth, And gives strength to His king, And exalts the horn of His anointed..

¹⁷ is it not wheat-harvest to-day? I call unto Yahweh, and He does give voices and rain; and know you and see that your evil is great which you have done in the eyes of Yahweh, to ask for you a king.. ¹⁸ And Samuel calls unto Yahweh, and Yahweh gives voices and rain, on that day, and all the people greatly fear Yahweh and Samuel;"

¹⁴ Thunder from the heavens does Yahweh, And the Most High gives forth His voice.

² Behold! The anger of Yahweh is steadfast and resolute as a hail storm, a stinging horror, as a storm of waters, abundant, overflowing. And He drags it to the earth by His hand."

³⁰ And caused to be heard by Yahweh is the splendor of His voice, and the dismay of His arm shall He show. In the turbulence of anger, and the blaze of a devouring fire, He will crash and storm, and do it with hail stones heavy."

¹¹ You will be pregnant with chaff. You will generate straw. Your spirit is fire. It will devour you. ¹² Become will the peoples as the burnings of lime, as thorns grubbed up, in fire shall they be ravaged." ¹³ Hear, you that are afar, what I do. And know, you that are near, My mastery." ¹⁴ Afraid are the sinners in Zion, quivering holds the polluted. Who is telling you of the devouring fire? Who is telling you of the glowings eonian?

⁷ For roused shall be a nation against a nation, and a kingdom against a kingdom, and there shall be famines and quakes in places."

⁸ For roused shall be nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be quakes in places. And there shall be famines and disturbances."

¹¹ Besides, there shall be great quakes and, in places, famines and pestilences. There shall be fearful sights besides great signs also from heaven."

¹³ And in that hour occurred a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city falls, and there were seven thousand names of the men killed in the earthquake. And the rest became affrighted and give glory to the God of heaven."

¹⁹ And opened was the temple of God in heaven, and seen was the ark of God's covenant in His temple, and lightnings and voices and thunders and an earthquake and a great hail occurred."

¹⁸ And lightnings and voices and thunders occurred. And a great earthquake occurred, such as did not occur since mankind came to be on the earth; of such proportions was the quake and so great."

⁸ He shall fly away like a dream, and they shall not find him, For he shall be bolted away like a vision of the night.

²⁰ Like a dream when one is waking, O Yahweh, when rousing, You shall lay waste their phantom."

¹¹ Behold! Ashamed and confounded shall all be who were hot with you. They are coming to be as nothing. And perish shall all mortals who contend with you. ¹² You shall seek them, yet shall not find them. And the mortals with whom you strive shall come to be as nothing, and a limit is reached by the mortals who war with you."

³¹ Wasting has come unto the end of the earth, For a controversy has Yahweh with nations, He has executed judgment for all flesh, The wicked! He has given them to the sword, An affirmation of Yahweh." ³² Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:Lo, evil is going out from nation to nation, And a great whirlwind is stirred up from the sides of the earth." ³³ And the pierced of Yahweh have been in that day, From the end of the earth even unto the end of the earth, They are not lamented, nor gathered, nor buried, For dung on the face of the ground they are."

⁴² Come up against Babylon has the sea, With a multitude of its billows it has been covered." ⁴³ Its cities have been for a desolation, A dry land, and a wilderness, A land--none does dwell in them, Nor pass over into them does a son of man." ⁴⁴ And I have seen after Bel in Babylon, And I have brought forth that which he swallowed--from his mouth, And flow no more unto him do nations, Also the wall of Babylon has fallen."

¹¹ And now many nations are gathered against you, saying:She shall be polluted and our eyes will perceive it in Zion." ¹² Yet they do not know the devices of Yahweh, nor have they understood His counsel. For he convenes them as a sheaf to the threshing site."

³ Yahweh is slow to anger, and great in vigor, and verily He will not make innocent. Yahweh has His way in the sweeping whirlwind and in the horror, and a cloud is the dust of His feet." ⁴ He is rebuking the sea, and is drying it, and all the streams He drains. Enfeebled is Bashan and Carmel, and the bud of Lebanon is enfeebled." ⁵ The mountains quake because of Him, and the hills dissolve. The earth is upheaving because of His presence, and the habitance and all dwelling in it." ⁶ Before His menace, who will stand? And who will rise in the heat of His anger? His fury is poured forth as fire, and the rocks are broken down because of Him." ⁷ Yahweh is good for a stronghold in the day of distress, and He is knowing those taking refuge in Him." ⁸ And with a passing overflow He will make a finish of her place, and His enemies will He pursue into darkness." ⁹ What are you devising against Yahweh? He will make a finish; distress is not rising a second time. ¹⁰ Though they are still as entangled briars, and as those groggy with their grog, they shall be devoured as straw fully dry." ¹¹ From you fares forth one devising evil against Yahweh, a decadent counselor." ¹² Thus says Yahweh:Though they are poised and so numerous, even so, they shall be shorn, and he shall pass away. Though I humbled you, I will not humble you further."

³ And it shall come to be in that day, I will make Jerusalem a stone, a lading for all the peoples; all laden with it shall be sorely lacerated, and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered against it." ⁴ In that day, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), I will smite every horse with amazement, and his rider with madness. Yet over the house of Judah will I unclose My eyes, and every horse of the peoples will I smite with blindness." ⁵ And the mentors of Judah will say in their heart, Resoluteness is with me! The dwellers of Jerusalem are in Yahweh of hosts, their Elohim."

⁹ And it shall come to be in that day, I will seek to exterminate all the nations coming against Jerusalem."

¹ Behold a day coming for Yahweh, and your loot shall be apportioned within you." ² Yet I will gather all nations to Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be seized, and the houses are rifled, and the women ravished. And half the city shall fare forth into deportation. Yet the rest of My people shall not be cut off from the city." ³ Then Yahweh shall fare forth and fight against those nations, as the day He fought in the day of attack."

¹² And this shall come to be the stroke with which Yahweh will strike all the peoples who mustered their hosts against Jerusalem:Putrefied is their flesh, yet they are standing on their feet, and their eyes shall putrefy in their holes, and their tongue shall putrefy in their mouths." ¹³ And it comes to be in that day, much discomfiture is coming from Yahweh among them. And they take fast hold, each to the hand of his associate. Yet his hand will come up against the hand of his associate." ¹⁴ And, moreover, Judah shall fight in Jerusalem, and the estate of all the nations round about shall be gathered, gold and silver and garments exceedingly much." ¹⁵ And so shall come to be the stroke of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and all the beasts, which shall come to be in these camps, as this stroke."

⁸ And he will be coming out to deceive all the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to be mobilizing them for battle, their number being as the sand of the sea." ⁹ And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and surround the citadel of the saints and the beloved city. And fire descended from God out of heaven and devoured them."

²¹ and Yahweh sends a messenger, and cuts off every mighty one of valor--both leader and head--in the camp of the king of Asshur, and he turns back with shame of face to his land, and enters the house of his elohim, and those coming out of his bowels have caused him to fall there by the sword.

⁷ Yet he, not so is he planning, and his heart, not so is devising, for to exterminate is in his heart, and to cut off nations not a few." ⁸ For saying is he, "Are not my chiefs altogether kings? ⁹ Is not, as Carchemish, Calno? Should not, as Arphad, be Hamath? Should not, as Damascus, be Samaria? ¹⁰ As my hand found all the kingdoms of the forbidden idols, and their carvings, more than Jerusalem's and than Samaria's, ¹¹ shall I not, as I did to Samaria and to her forbidden idols, so do to Jerusalem and to her grief fetishes? ¹² Yet it comes, when Yahweh will clip off all His doings in mount Zion and in Jerusalem, I will visit evil on the fruit of the insolent heart of the king of Assyria, and the high beauty of his eyes." ¹³ For, says he, "By the vigor of my hand I did it, and by my wisdom, for understanding have I. And I am taking away the boundaries of the peoples, and their equipment I rob. And I am bringing down, as a sturdy one, their dwellers, ¹⁴ and my hand is finding, as a nest, the estate of the peoples, and, as one gathers forsaken eggs, the entire earth do I gather. And no one comes to be ruffling a wing, or opening wide the mouth and chirping." ¹⁵ Will the axe beautify itself over the one hewing with it? Should the chief's mace magnify itself over the one waving it? As if a club is also waving the one raising it! As if a rod is raising one who is not wood! ¹⁶ Wherefore, the Lord Yahweh of hosts will send upon his stout ones leanness. And under his glory will glow a glowing as the glowing of fire."

¹² Sharpening is the smith the adz, and he contrives to do it in the coals. And with picks is he forming it. And contriving it with the vigor of his arm. Moreover, he is famishing and there is no vigor, and he drinks no water, and is faint."

² Hark, you heavens! And give ear, O earth! For Yahweh speaks! Sons I bring up and exalt, yet they, they transgress against Me."

¹⁴ Yahweh blends within it a depraved spirit. They lead Egypt astray in its every deed, as a drunkard strays in his vomit."

⁷ And, moreover, these by wine, do err, and by an intoxicant they stray. Priest and prophet err by an intoxicant. They are swallowed up because of the wine. They stray because of the intoxicant. They err in sight, quaver in mediation, ⁸ for all tables are full of vomit. There fails to be a place without filth.

¹⁰ For Yahweh has libated on you a spirit of stupor. And He is restraining your eyes, that is, the prophets, and your heads, the vision seers, He covers."

²⁶ And I feed those tyrannizing over you with their own flesh, and as with juice, with their own blood shall they be drunk. Then all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Saviour, and your Redeemer is the Sturdy One of Jacob."

¹⁷ Rouse yourself! Rouse yourself! Rise, Jerusalem, who has drunk from the hand of Yahweh the cup of His fury. The dregs of the tremorous cup you drink, have you wrung out."

²¹ Wherefore pray, hear this, humbled one, and drunken one, yet not with wine:" ²² Thus says your Lord Yahweh, and your Elohim, who is contending for His people, "Behold! I take from your hand the tremorous cup, the dregs of the cup of My fury. You are not continuing to drink it any longer,

¹² Be astonished, you heavens, at this, Yea, be frightened, be greatly wasted, An affirmation of Yahweh."

⁹ In reference to the prophets:Broken has been my heart in my midst, Fluttered have all my bones, I have been as a man--a drunkard, And as a man--wine has passed over him, Because of Yahweh, and of His holy words."

²⁷ And you have said unto them:Thus said Yahweh of Hosts Elohim of Israel, Drink you, yea drink abundantly, And vomit, and fall, and rise not, Because of the sword that I am sending among you."

⁷ A golden cup [is] Babylon in the hand of Yahweh, Making drunk all the earth, Of its wine drunk have nations, Therefore boast themselves do nations."

²¹ Be elated and rejoice, daughter of Edom, you who are dwelling in the country of Uz; To you also shall pass the cup of Yahweh; you shall become drunk and denude yourself."

⁵ See, despisers, and look, and be utterly amazed, for I contrive a contrivance in your days you will not believe though it were being related."

⁴⁵ Again, then, He is coming to the disciples and is saying to them, "Are you drowsing furthermore and resting? For lo! near is the hour, and the Son of Mankind is being given up into the hands of sinners-"

⁴¹ And He is coming the third time and is saying to them, "Are you drowsing furthermore and resting? It is away. The hour came. Lo! the Son of Mankind is being given up into the hands of sinners."

⁴⁰ Beware then, that that which has been declared in the prophets may not be coming on you:" ⁴¹ Perceive, you despisers, and marvel, and disappear! for a work am I working in your days - a work which you should by no means be believing if anyone should be detailing it to you."

⁶ And I perceive the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And I marvel at perceiving her. The marvel is great!"

⁹ Formerly in Israel, thus said the man in his going to seek Elohim, `Come and we go unto the seer,' for the `prophet' of to-day is called formerly `the seer..

¹² And David takes the spear, and the cruse of water at the pillow of Saul, and they go away, and there is none seeing, and there is none knowing, and there is none awaking, for all of them are sleeping, for a deep sleep [from] Yahweh has fallen upon them.

²³ Let their eyes be darkened, kept from seeing, And let their waist be bowed low continually."

² the master and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the diviner and the elder, ³ the chief of fifty, and the reputable, and the counselor and the wise, the artificers and the one who understands charm whistling."

⁹ And He is saying to me, "Go, and say to this people:`Hear you to hear, yet you must not be understanding." ¹⁰ And see you to see, yet you must not be knowing. Stouten the heart of this people, and their ears make heavy, and their eyes make squint. Lest they are seeing with their eyes, and with their ears are hearing, and with their heart are understanding, and, turning back, then healing is theirs."

¹⁴ Wherefore, behold Me! I will proceed to distribute this people, and I am distributing them. And perish shall the wisdom of their wise, and the understanding of their understanding ones shall conceal itself."

¹⁰ who say to the seers, "You shall not direct us!And to the vision seers, "You shall not perceive correctives for us! Speak to us slick things, perceive trifles."

¹⁸ They do not know, nor are they understanding, for He plasters their eyes, from seeing, and their hearts, from intelligence."

⁸ And it comes to pass, at the completion of Jeremiah's speaking all that Yahweh has commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests, and the prophets, and all the people catch him, saying, You do surely die, ⁹ Wherefore have you prophesied in the name of Yahweh, saying, `As Shiloh this house shall be, and this city is wasted, without inhabitant?' and all the people are assembled unto Jeremiah in the house of Yahweh." <sup>10</sup> And the heads of Judah hear these things, and they go up from the house of the king [to] the house of Yahweh, and sit in the opening of the new gate of Yahweh." <sup>11</sup> And the priests and the prophets speak unto the heads, and unto all the people, saying, `Judgment of death [is] for this man, for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.'"

⁹ `And the prophet, when he is enticed, and has spoken a word--I, Yahweh, I have enticed that prophet, and have stretched out My hand against him, and have destroyed him from the midst of My people Israel."

¹² And Amaziah is saying to Amos, Vision-seer, go! Run your way to the land of Judah, and there eat your bread, and there you shall prophesy." ¹³ Yet at Bethel you shall not continue to prophesy further, for the sanctuary of the king is it, and the house of the kingdom is it."

¹ And He is saying, Oh hear this! you heads of the house of Jacob, and captains of the house of Israel, is it not yours to know judgment?

⁶ Wherefore night shall be for you, without a vision, and it shall be dark for you, without divining, and the sun shall set on the prophets, and the day shall be somber on them."

²⁶ saying, 'Go to this people and say, "In hearing, you will be hearing, and may by no means be understanding, And observing, you will be observing, and may by no means be perceiving, ²⁷ For stoutened is the heart of this people, And with their ears heavily they hear, And with their eyes they squint, Lest at some time they may be perceiving with their eyes, And with their ears should be hearing, And with their heart may be understanding, And should be turning about, And I shall be healing them.'"

⁸ even as it is written, God gives them a spirit of stupor, eyes not to be observing, and ears not to be hearing, till this very day."

⁴ in whom the god of this eon blinds the apprehensions of the unbelieving so that the illumination of the evangel of the glory of Christ, Who is the Image of the invisible God, does not irradiate them."

⁹ whose presence is in accord with the operation of Satan, with all power and signs and false miracles" ¹⁰ and with every seduction of injustice among those who are perishing, because they do not receive the love of the truth for their salvation." ¹¹ And therefore God will be sending them an operation of deception, for them to believe the falsehood, ¹² that all may be judged who do not believe the truth, but delight in injustice."

¹⁶ Tie up the testimony, and seal the law among my learners,

⁴ Now you Daniel, stop up the words and seal the scroll till the era of the end, when many will swerve as evil will increase."

⁹ Then he is saying, "Go, Daniel, for stopped up and sealed are the words till the era of the end."

²⁵ At that season, answering, Jesus said, "I am acclaiming Thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for Thou hidest these things from the wise and intelligent and Thou dost reveal them to minors."

¹¹ Now, answering, He said to them that "To you has it been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of the heavens, yet to those it has not been given."

¹⁷ Now, answering, Jesus said to him, "Happy are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood does not reveal it to you, but My Father Who is in the heavens."

¹ And I perceived on the right hand of Him Who is sitting on the throne a scroll, written in front and on the back, and sealed up with seven seals." ² And I perceived a strong messenger heralding with a loud voice: "Who is worthy to open the scroll, and to loose its seals? ³ And no one in heaven, nor yet on earth, nor yet underneath the earth, was able to open the scroll, neither to look at it." ⁴ And I lamented much that no one was found worthy to open the scroll, neither to look at it." ⁵ And one of the elders is saying to me, "Do not lament! Lo! He conquers! The Lion out of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, is to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals!" ⁶ And I perceived, in the center of the throne and of the four animals, and in the center of the elders, a Lambkin standing, as though slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes which are the seven spirits of God, commissioned for the entire earth." ⁷ And It came and has taken the scroll out of the right hand of Him Who is sitting on the throne. ⁸ And when It took the scroll, the four animals and the twenty-four elders fall before the Lambkin, each having a lyre, and golden bowls brimming with incenses, which are the prayers of the saints." ⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, "Worthy art Thou to be taking the scroll and to open its seals, For Thou wast slain and dost buy us for God by Thy blood. Out of every tribe and language and people and nation."

¹ And I perceived when the Lambkin opens one of the seven seals; and I hear one of the four animals saying, as with a voice of thunder, "Come!"

¹² when He says to them:"This is the resting place. Give rest to the faint. And this is the respite.Yet they are not willing to hearken, ¹³ when the word of Yahweh Elohim comes to them. Instruction is added to instruction, instruction to instruction, expectation to expectation, expectation to expectation, a bit there, a bit there, that they may go and stumble back, and be broken, and be trapped, and be seized."

¹⁸ And the deaf will hear, in that day, the words of a scroll, and from gloom, and from darkness, blind eyes shall see,

⁴ And I--I said, `Surely these [are] poor, They have been foolish, For they have not known the way of Yahweh, The judgment of their Elohim."

⁶ My people shall be stilled because of failing knowledge, seeing that you reject knowledge. Then I am rejecting you from being a priest for Me, and as you are forgetting the law of your Elohim, I will forget your sons--even I."

¹⁵ The Jews, then, marveled, saying, "How is this one acquainted with letters, not having learned? ¹⁶ Jesus, then, answered them and said, "My teaching is not Mine, but His Who sends Me."

¹ Hezekiah has reigned--a son of twenty and five years, and twenty and nine years he has reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Abijah daughter of Zechariah;" ² and he does that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that David his father did. ³ He, in the first year of his reign, in the first month, has opened the doors of the house of Yahweh, and strengthens them, ⁴ and brings in the priests and the Levites, and gathers them to the broad place to the east. ⁵ And he said to them, `Hear me, O Levites, now, sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of Yahweh, Elohim of your fathers, and bring out the impurity from the sanctuary, <sup>6</sup> for our fathers have trespassed, and done that which is evil in the eyes of Yahweh our Elohim, and forsake him, and turn round their faces from the tabernacle of Yahweh, and give the neck. <sup>7</sup> `Also--they have shut the doors of the porch, and quench the lamps, and perfume they have not made, and burnt-offering have not caused to ascend in the sanctuary to the Elohim of Israel, ⁸ and the wrath of Yahweh is on Judah and Jerusalem, and He gives them for a trembling, for an astonishment, and for a hissing, as you are seeing with your eyes. ⁹ And lo, fallen have our fathers by the sword, and our sons, and our daughters, and our wives [are] in captivity for this. ¹⁰ `Now--with my heart--to make a covenant before Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, and the fierceness of His anger does turn back from us. <sup>11</sup> My sons, be not now at rest, for on you has Yahweh fixed to stand before Him, to serve Him, and to be to Him ministering and making perfume.. <sup>12</sup> And the Levites rise--Mahath son of Amasai, and Joel son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathite; and of the sons of Merari:Kish son of Abdi, and Azariah son of Jehalelel; and of the Gershonite:Joah son of Zimmah, and Eden son of Joah;" <sup>13</sup> and of the sons of Elizaphan:Shimri, and Jeiel; and of the sons of Asaph:Zechariah and Mattaniah;" <sup>14</sup> and of the sons of Heman:Jehiel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun:Shemaiah and Uzziel-- <sup>15</sup> and they gather their brethren, and sanctify themselves, and come in, according to the command of the king in the matters of Yahweh, to cleanse the house of Yahweh, <sup>16</sup> and the priests come in to the inner part of the house of Yahweh to cleanse [it], and bring out all the uncleanness that they have found in the temple of Yahweh to the court of the house of Yahweh, and the Levites receive [it], to take [it] out to the brook Kidron without. <sup>17</sup> And they begin on the first of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month they have come to the porch of Yahweh, and they sanctify the house of Yahweh in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they have finished. <sup>18</sup> And they come in within unto Hezekiah the king, and say, `We have cleansed all the house of Yahweh, and the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and the table of the arrangement, and all its vessels, ¹⁹ and all the vessels that king Ahaz cast away in his reign--in his trespass--we have prepared and sanctified, and lo, they [are] before the altar of Yahweh.. ²⁰ And Hezekiah the king rises early, and gathers the heads of the city, and goes up to the house of Yahweh;" ²¹ and they bring in seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven young he-goats, for a sin-offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah; and he said to sons of Aaron, the priests, to cause [them] to ascend on the altar of Yahweh. ²² And they slaughter the oxen, and the priests receive the blood, and sprinkle on the altar; and they slaughter the rams, and sprinkle the blood on the altar; and they slaughter the lambs, and sprinkle the blood on the altar;" ²³ and they bring nigh the he-goats of the sin-offering before the king and the assembly, and they lay their hands upon them;" ²⁴ and the priests slaughter them, and make a sin-offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel, for `For all Israel,' said the king, `[is] the burnt-offering and the sin-offering.. ²⁵ And he appoints the Levites in the house of Yahweh with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, by the command of David, and of Gad, seer of the king, and of Nathan the prophet, for by the hand of Yahweh [is] the command, by the hand of His prophets;" ²⁶ and the Levites stand with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets. ²⁷ And Hezekiah said to cause the burnt-offering to ascend on the altar; and at the time the burnt-offering began--began the song of Yahweh, and the trumpets, even by the hands of the instruments of David king of Israel. ²⁸ And all the assembly are doing obeisance, and the singers singing, and the trumpeters blowing; the whole [is] till the completion of the burnt-offering. ²⁹ And at the completion of the offering up bowed have the king and all those found with him, and do obeisance. ³⁰ And Hezekiah the king said, and the princes, to the Levites to give praise to Yahweh in the words of David, and of Asaph the seer, and they praise--unto joy, and they bow, and do obeisance. ³¹ And Hezekiah answers and said, `Now you have filled your hand to Yahweh, come nigh, and bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings to the house of Yahweh;' and the assembly bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings, and every willing-hearted one--burnt-offerings.

¹ {A Davidic Prayer{ O Yahweh, do hear my plea for justice! Do attend to my appeal! Do give ear to my prayer, uttered without deceitful lips."

⁶ Do not add to His words, Lest He should correct you, and you be proved a liar."

⁶ Among a nation polluted will I send him. And against a people, object of My rage, will I instruct him. To loot loot and to plunder plunder, and to place them for tramping, as the clay of the streets."

¹ Hear this, house of Jacob, called by the name of Israel, and those who from the waters of Judah fare forth, those swearing by the name of Yahweh, and the Elohim of Israel are mentioning, not in truth, and not in righteousness, ² for from the holy city are they called, and by the Elohim of Israel are they supported. Yahweh of hosts is His name."

² Yet, for Me, day by day are they inquiring, and in the knowledge of My ways are they delighting, as a nation which does righteousness, and the judgment of its Elohim does not forsake. They are asking Me for righteous judgments. In the nearness of their Elohim are they delighting." ³ Why do we fast, yet You do not see? We humble our souls, yet You are not knowing?Behold! In the day of your fast you are finding delight, and all your grievous labors are you exacting of others."

¹⁰ And even in all this her treacherous sister Judah has not turned back unto Me with all her heart, but with falsehood, an affirmation of Yahweh.'"

² And if they say, `Yahweh lives,' Surely to a falsehood they swear."

² You have planted them, yea, they have taken root, They go on, yea, they have made fruit, Near [are] You in their mouth, And far off from their reins."

² and they say unto Jeremiah the prophet, `Let, we pray you, our supplication fall before you, and pray for us unto Yahweh your Elohim, for all this remnant; for we have been left a few out of many, as your eyes do see us;" <sup>3</sup> and Yahweh your Elohim does declare to us the way in which we walk, and the thing that we do.'" <sup>4</sup> And Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, `I have heard:lo, I am praying unto Yahweh your Elohim according to your words, and it has come to pass, the whole word that Yahweh answers you, I declare to you--I do not withhold from you a word.'"

²⁰ for you have showed yourselves perverse in your souls, for you sent me unto Yahweh your Elohim, saying, Pray for us unto Yahweh our Elohim, and according to all that Yahweh our Elohim said, so declare to us, and we have done [it];"

³¹ And they come in unto you as the coming in of a people, And they sit before you--My people, And have heard your words, and they do them not, For doting loves with their mouth they are making, After their dishonest gain their heart is going." ³² And lo, you [are] to them as a singer of doting loves, A pleasant voice, and playing well on an instrument, And they have heard your words, and they are not doing them." ³³ And in its coming in--lo, it has come, And they have known that a prophet has been in their midst!'"

² Wherefore are your disciples transgressing the tradition of the elders? For they are not washing their hands whenever they may be eating bread." ³ Now He, answering, said to them, "Wherefore are you also transgressing the precept of God because of your tradition? ⁴ For God said, 'Honor father and mother,' and, 'He who is saying aught that is evil of father or mother, let him decease in death.'" ⁵ Yet you are saying that 'Whoever may be saying to father or mother, "An approach present is whatsoever you may be benefited by me, ⁶ by no means shall he be honoring his father.' And you invalidate the word of God because of your tradition. ⁷ Hypocrites! Ideally Isaiah prophesies concerning you, saying, ⁸ This people with their lips is honoring Me, Yet their heart is away at a distance from Me." ⁹ Yet in vain are they revering Me, Teaching for teachings the directions of men."

² And perceiving some of His disciples, that with contaminated (that is, unwashed) hands they eat bread" ³ (for the Pharisees and all the Jews, if ever they should not be washing the hands with the fist, are not eating, holding the tradition of the elders;" ⁴ and from the market, except they should be sprinkled, they are not eating; and many other things are there which they accepted to hold, the baptizing of cups and ewers and copper vessels and of couches), ⁵ the Pharisees also, and the scribes are inquiring of Him, "Wherefore are not your disciples walking according to the tradition of the elders, but with unwashed hands are eating bread? ⁶ Yet He, answering, said to them that "Ideally prophesies Isaiah concerning you hypocrites, as it is written, that This people with their lips is honoring Me, Yet their heart is away at a distance from Me." ⁷ Yet in vain are they revering Me, teaching for teachings the directions of men." ⁸ For, leaving the precept of God, you are holding the tradition of men of the baptism of ewers and cups. And many such like things you are doing." ⁹ And He said to them, "Ideally are you repudiating the precept of God, that you should be keeping your tradition." ¹⁰ For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, He who is saying aught that is evil of father or mother, let him decease in death." ¹¹ Yet you are saying, 'If a man should be saying to father or mother, "A corban (which is an approach present) is whatsoever you may be benefitted by me,'" ¹² no longer are you letting him do anything for his father or his mother, ¹³ invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you give over. And many such like things you are doing."

²² (which things are all for corruption from use), in accord with the directions and teachings of men?

¹³ Seizing the wise in their craftiness, So that their cunning counsel is carried headlong.

³ And void is the spirit of Egypt within it, and I will swallow up its counsel. And they inquire of the forbidden idols, and of the ventriloquists, and of the mediums and of the wizards."

¹¹ Yea! Foolish are the chiefs of Zoan, the wise counselors of Pharaoh give brutish counsel. How will you say to Pharaoh, "I am a son of the wise, a son of former kings"? ¹² Whereat, indeed, are your wise? And, pray, will they tell to you, and will they know what Yahweh of hosts counsels over Egypt? ¹³ Foolish are the chiefs of Zoan! Lured away are the chiefs of Noph! They lead Egypt astray, the corner stone of its tribes." ¹⁴ Yahweh blends within it a depraved spirit. They lead Egypt astray in its every deed, as a drunkard strays in his vomit."

²¹ For, as at mount Perazim, Yahweh will rise, as at the vale in Gibeon will He disturb, to do His deed, His alien deed, and to serve His service, His strange service."

⁹ Dally and be amazed! Regale yourself and revel! Be drunk, yet not from wine! Sway, yet not from an intoxicant!" ¹⁰ For Yahweh has libated on you a spirit of stupor. And He is restraining your eyes, that is, the prophets, and your heads, the vision seers, He covers."

⁷ Even a stork in the heavens has known her seasons, And turtle, and swallow, and crane, Have watched the time of their coming, And--My people have not known the judgment of Yahweh." ⁸ How do you say, We [are] wise, And the law of Yahweh [is] with us? Surely, lo, falsely it has wrought, The false pen of scribes." ⁹ Ashamed have been the wise, They have been affrighted, and are captured, Lo, against a word of Yahweh they kicked, And the wisdom of what--have they?

⁷ Concerning Edom:`Thus said Yahweh of Hosts:Is wisdom no more in Teman? Perished has counsel from the intelligent? Vanished has their wisdom?

⁸ Will it not be in that day, (averring is Yahweh), that I shall destroy the wise from Edom, and understanding from mount Esau?

²⁴ For I am saying to you that many prophets and kings want to perceive what you are observing, and they perceive not, and to hear of Me what you are hearing, and they hear not."

²⁹ We are aware that it was to Moses that God has spoken. Yet this man - we are not aware whence he is." ³⁰ The man answered and said to them, "For in this is the marvelous thing, that you are not aware whence He is, and He opens my eyes!" ³¹ We are aware that God is not hearing sinners, but if anyone should be a reverer of God and doing His will, him He is hearing." ³² From out of the eon it is not heard that anyone opens the eyes of one born blind. ³³ Except this Man were from God, He could not be doing anything." ³⁴ They answered and say to him, "You were wholly born in sins, and you are teaching us!And they cast him out."

³⁹ And Jesus said, "For judgment came I into this world, that those who are not observing may be observing, and those observing may be becoming blind." ⁴⁰ And those of the Pharisees who are with Him hear these things, and they said to Him, "Not we also are blind? ⁴¹ Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have had no sin. Yet now you are saying that 'We are observing.' Your sin, then, is remaining."

²¹ because, knowing God, not as God do they glorify or thank Him, but vain were they made in their reasonings, and darkened is their unintelligent heart." ²² Alleging themselves to be wise, they are made stupid,

²⁸ And according as they do not test God, to have Him in recognition, God gives them over to a disqualified mind, to do that which is not befitting,

¹⁹ For it is written, I shall be destroying the wisdom of the wise, and the understanding of the intelligent shall I be repudiating." ²⁰ Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the discusser of this eon? Does not God make stupid the wisdom of this world? ²¹ For since, in fact, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom knew not God, God delights, through the stupidity of the heralding, to save those who are believing, ²² since, in fact, Jews signs are requesting, and Greeks wisdom are seeking, ²³ yet we are heralding Christ crucified, to Jews, indeed, a snare, yet to the nations stupidity, ²⁴ yet to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God,

¹⁹ for the wisdom of this world is stupidity with God. For it is written, "He is clutching the wise in their craftiness."

¹³ Yet you say, What does El know? Can He judge through murkiness? ¹⁴ Thick clouds are a concealment for Him, so that He cannot see, And He walks about the circle of the heavens.

¹³ They are among those revolting against the light; They neither recognize its ways Nor dwell in its tracks. ¹⁴ When the light is gone the murderer arises; He dispatches the humble and needy one; And in the night he becomes stealthy as a thief. ¹⁵ The eye of the adulterer keeps watch for the gloaming, Saying, No eye can regard me; And he places a concealment over his face. ¹⁶ In the darkness he burrows into houses; By day they seal themselves up; They do not know the light. ¹⁷ For altogether morning is a shadow of death to them, For each one values the decadence of the blackest shadow.

²² There is no darkness and no blackest shadow To conceal there the contrivers of lawlessness.

¹¹ He says in his heart, El has forgotten; He has concealed His face; He will not see at all, permanently. ¹² Do arise, O Yahweh! O El, lift up Your hand! Do not forget the humble. ¹³ On what grounds does the wicked one spurn Elohim? He says in his heart that You shall not inquire.

⁷ Behold, they are uttering growls with their mouth; Swords are on their lips, Saying, Who is hearing?

⁵ They are encouraging themselves in an evil matter; They are recounting plans to bury traps; They say, Who shall see us? ⁶ They are searching into iniquity, Saying, We will finish a thorough search. The inward thought of each and the heart are deep."

¹¹ And they say, How can El know? And is there knowledge in the Supreme?

⁷ They say, Yah is not seeing, And the Elohim of Jacob is not understanding." ⁸ Understand, you irrational ones among the people! And you stupid ones, when shall you act intelligently? ⁹ The One Who planted the ear, shall He not hear? Or the One Who formed the eye, shall He not look?

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ O Yahweh, You have investigated me and are knowing me;" ² You Yourself know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought from afar; ³ My path and my pallet You have measured off, And for all my ways You have made provision." ⁴ For though there be no declaration on my tongue, Behold, O Yahweh, You know it all." ⁵ Back and front, You have besieged me, And You set Your palm upon me." ⁶ Such knowledge is marvelous beyond me; It is impregnable; I cannot reach to it. ⁷ Whither could I go from Your spirit, And whither could I run away from Your presence? ⁸ If I should climb to the heavens, You are there, And should I make my berth in the unseen, behold, You are there."

¹⁸ Woe to those drawing depravity with cables of futility, and as with the traces of a car, their sin, ¹⁹ saying, "Let Him be hastening, hurrying His doing, that we may be seeing, and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel be nearing and coming, that we may know."

¹⁵ For you say, "We have contracted a covenant with death, and with the unseen we made a public treaty. The scourge overflowing that shall pass will not come on us, for we constitute a lie our refuge, and in falsehood are we concealed."

¹⁷ And I constitute judgment for the tape, and righteousness for the plummet, and the hail will shovel away the refuge of the lie, and the concealment the waters will overflow."

¹ Woe, stubborn sons!averring is Yahweh, "To make counsel, yet not from Me, and to libate a libation, yet not of My spirit, that they may add sin on sin!"

¹⁰ And you are trusting in your knowledge. You are saying, `No one is seeing me.' Your wisdom and your knowledge, it turns you back. And you are saying in your heart, `I, and only I, further!'"

¹² I, I am telling of My righteousness and of your evil deeds. Your conveners are not benefiting you at your outcry."

²⁴ Is any one hidden in secret places, And I see him not? an affirmation of Yahweh, Do not I fill the heavens and the earth? An affirmation of Yahweh."

¹² And He said unto me, `Have you seen, son of man, that which elders of the house of Israel are doing in darkness, each in the inner chambers of his imagery, for they are saying, Yahweh is not seeing us, Yahweh has forsaken the land?'"

⁹ And He said unto me, `The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah [is] very very great, and the land is full of blood, and the city has been full of perverseness, for they have said:Yahweh has forsaken the land, and Yahweh is not seeing."

¹² It comes at that season I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and I visit evil on the mortals who are curdled on their lees, those saying in their heart, Yahweh will not do good, nor will He do evil."

¹⁷ You weary Yahweh Elohim with your words. Yet you say, In what way do we weary Him? When you say, All doing evil are good in the eyes of Yahweh, and in them He delights, or, Where is the Elohim of judgment?

¹ At which, a throng of ten thousand being assembled so as to be trampling one another, He begins to be saying to His disciples first, "Take heed to yourselves of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy." ² Now nothing is covered up which shall not be revealed, and hidden which shall not be known, ³ because whatever you say in the darkness shall be heard in the light, and what you speak in the ear in the storerooms shall be heralded on the housetops."

¹⁹ Now this is the judging: that the light has come into the world, and men love the darkness rather than the light, for their acts were wicked."

⁵ So that, be not judging anything before the season, till the Lord should be coming, Who will also illuminate the hidden things of darkness and manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then applause will be coming to each one from God."

² But we spurn the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor yet adulterating the word of God, but, by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in God's sight."

²³ And her children shall I be killing with death, and all the ecclesias shall know that I an He Who is searching the kidneys and hearts. And I will be giving to each of you in accord with your acts."

¹ Behold, Yahweh making void, the land, and evacuating it! And He denudes its surface, and scatters its dwellers."

⁹ Will anyone contend with his Former? The earthenware with the ceramists? Is the clay saying to its potter, `What are you making?' And your contrivance, `No hands has he'? ¹⁰ Will anyone say to a father, `What are you begetting?' Or to a woman, `With what are you travailing?'" ¹¹ Thus says Yahweh Elohim, the Holy One of Israel, and its Former, "`What is arriving?' you ask Me. Yet concerning My sons and concerning My daughters, and concerning your contrivance of My hands are you instructing Me!"

⁸ And now, Yahweh, You are our Father. And we are the clay. You are our Former, and the doing of Your hand are we all."

¹ The word that has been unto Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying, ² Rise, and you have gone down [to] the potter's house, and there I cause you to hear My words;" ³ and I go down [to] the potter's house, and lo, he is doing a work on the stones, ⁴ and marred is the vessel that he is making, as clay in the hand of the potter, and he has turned and he makes it another vessel, as it was right in the eyes of the potter to make." ⁵ And there is a word of Yahweh to me, saying:" ⁶ As this potter am I not able to do to you? O house of Israel, an affirmation of Yahweh. Lo, as clay in the hand of the potter, So [are] you in My hand, O house of Israel." ⁷ The moment I speak concerning a nation, And concerning a kingdom, To pluck up and to break down, and to destroy, ⁸ And that nation has turned from its evil, Because I have spoken against it, Then I have repented of the evil that I thought to do to it." ⁹ And the moment I speak concerning a nation, And concerning a kingdom, to build, and to plant, ¹⁰ And it has done the evil thing in Mine eyes, So as not to hearken to My voice, Then I have repented of the good That I have spoken of doing to it."

⁶ Now, not finding them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the city magistrates, imploring that "Those who raise the inhabited earth to insurrection, these are present in this place also,

¹⁹ You will be protesting to me, then, "Why, then, is He still blaming? for who has withstood His intention? ²⁰ O man! who are you, to be sure, who are answering again to God? That which is molded will not protest to the molder, "Why do you make me thus? ²¹ Or has not the potter the right over the clay, out of the same kneading to make one vessel, indeed, for honor, yet one for dishonor?

⁶ As they are passing through the vale of aspen, He is making it a vale of springs; Indeed the former rain is muffling it with blessings."

³³ He can convert streams into wilderness, And flowing wells of water into thirsty ground,

³⁵ He can convert a wilderness into a pond of water And an arid area into flowing wells of water.

⁶ And I am making My vineyard into a chaos, and it is not being pruned. And not being hoed, and up come buckthorn and spines. And I am instructing the thick clouds over it to keep from raining rain on it."

¹⁵ till emptied on us shall be the spirit from the height. "Then the wilderness will come to be for crop land, and the crop land for wildwood will be accounted."

¹ Elated for them shall be the wilderness and the arid place, and exult will the gorge, and bud as a fondled lotus." ² It will bud, yea bud and exult, indeed, with exultation and jubilation. And the glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the honor of Carmel and Sharon. And My people shall see the glory of Yahweh, and the honor of our Elohim."

¹⁹ I will bestow the cedar in the wilderness, the acacia and the myrtle and the oleaster tree. I will place the fir in the gorge, the elm and the box together,

⁵ And now, thus says Yahweh, Who formed me from the belly, for His servant, to restore Jacob to Him, when Israel is being gathered to Him. Yet I shall be glorified in the eyes of Yahweh, and my Elohim becomes my help." ⁶ And he is saying to me, "A slight thing is it for you to become My servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and the dispersed of Israel to restore. Behold! I give you also for a light of the nations, to become My salvation unto the ends of the earth."

¹³ And instead of the thorn tree, up shall come the fir, and instead of the nettle, up shall come the myrtle. And it comes to be to Yahweh for a name, and for a sign eonian that shall not be cut off."

¹⁸ Why do the wicked march in Your holy place; our foes trample Your sanctuary?

¹² I count you for the sword, and all of you for slaughter shall be hacked down. Because I called, yet you did not answer, I spoke, yet you did not hearken. And you are doing evil in My eyes. And what I do not desire, that you choose." ¹³ Therefore, thus says my Lord Yahweh, "Behold! My servants shall eat, yet you shall be famished. Behold! My servants shall drink, yet you shall thirst. Behold! My servants shall rejoice, yet you shall be ashamed." ¹⁴ Behold! My servants shall jubilate from a good heart, yet you shall cry from pain of heart, and from breaking of spirit shall you howl." ¹⁵ And you leave your name for an oath to My chosen.And you are put to death by my Lord Yahweh; yet He shall call His servants by another name." ¹⁶ The one blessing himself in the land, shall bless himself by the Elohim of truth, and the one swearing in the land, shall swear by the Elohim of truth. "For forgotten are the former distresses, for they are concealed also from My eyes."

⁴⁶ Son of man, set your face the way of Teman, and prophesy unto the south, and prophesy unto the forest of the field--the south;" ⁴⁷ and you have said to the forest of the south:Hear a word of Yahweh:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I am kindling in you a fire, And it has devoured in you every moist tree, and every dry tree, Not quenched is the glowing flames, And burnt by it have been all faces from south to north."

⁹ And He is saying, Call his name Lo-ammi, for you are not My people, and I am not your I Am Becoming." ¹⁰ Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall become as the sand of the sea, which is not being measured nor numbered. And it comes to be in the place in which it was being said to them, Not My people are you, there shall it be said to them, sons of the living El."

⁴ For many days shall the sons of Israel dwell without king and without chief, and without sacrifice and without altar, and without priesthood or thummim."

¹² Wherefore, due to you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become rubbish heaps, and the mountain of the house fane heights of a wildwood."

³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time; and it will bud at the end, and will not lie dormant. If it be dallying, tarry for it, for it will surely come, and it will not delay."

⁶ For thus says Yahweh of hosts:Still once, a little it is, and I am quaking the heavens and the earth and the sea and the drained land;"

¹ Open your doors, O Lebanon, and the fire shall devour among your cedars." ² Howl, fir tree, for the cedar falls, when the noble ones are devastated. Howl, oaks of Bashan, for the defended wildwood comes down."

³⁰ Yet many of the first shall be last, and the last first."

¹⁸ Now in the morning, leading them back into the city, He hungers." ¹⁹ And, perceiving one fig tree on the roadside, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves only. And He is saying to it, "No longer, by any means, may fruit be coming of you for the eon.And withered instantly is the fig tree."

⁴³ Therefore am I saying to you that the kingdom of God shall be taken away from you and shall be given to a nation producing its fruits.

¹¹ I am saying, then, Do they not trip that they should be falling? May it not be coming to that! But in their offense is salvation to the nations, to provoke them to jealousy." ¹² Now if their offense is the world's riches and their discomfiture the nations' riches, how much rather that which fills them!" ¹³ Now to you am I saying, to the nations, in as much as, indeed, then, I am the apostle of the nations, I am glorifying my dispensation, ¹⁴ if somehow I should be provoking those of my flesh to jealousy and should be saving some of them. ¹⁵ For if their casting away is the conciliation of the world, what will the taking back be if not life from among the dead? ¹⁶ Now if the firstfruit is holy, the kneading is also; and if the root is holy, the boughs are also." ¹⁷ Now if some of the boughs are broken out, yet you, being a wild olive, are grafted among them, and became a joint participant of the root and fatness of the olive,

¹⁹ You will be declaring, then, "Boughs are broken out that I may be grafted in." ²⁰ Ideally! By unbelief are they broken out, yet you stand in faith. Be not haughty, but fear." ²¹ For if God spares not the natural boughs, neither will He be sparing you!" ²² Perceive, then, the kindness and severity of God! On those, indeed, who are falling, severity, yet on you, God's kindness, if you should be persisting in the kindness: else you also will be hewn out." ²³ Now they also, if they should not be persisting in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again." ²⁴ For if you were hewn out of an olive wild by nature, and, beside nature, are grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much rather shall these, who are in accord with nature, be grafted into their own olive tree!" ²⁵ For I am not willing for you to be ignorant of this secret, brethren, lest you may be passing for prudent among yourselves, that callousness, in part, on Israel has come, until the complement of the nations may be entering." ²⁶ And thus all Israel shall be saved, according as it is written, Arriving out of Zion shall be the Rescuer. He will be turning away irreverence from Jacob." ²⁷ And this is my covenant with them Whenever I should be eliminating their sins.

³⁷ For still how very little, He Who is coming will be arriving and not delaying."

⁴ Yet until this day Yahweh has not given to you a heart to realize and eyes to see and ears to hear.

¹⁸ Expose my eyes that I may scrutinize The marvels of Your law.

¹² The hearing ear and the seeing eye--Yahweh has made them both.

¹⁰ For Yahweh has libated on you a spirit of stupor. And He is restraining your eyes, that is, the prophets, and your heads, the vision seers, He covers." ¹¹ And to you are all visions becoming as the words of a sealed scroll, which they are giving him acquainted with the scroll, saying, "Read this, pray.And he says, "I cannot, for it is sealed." ¹² And the scroll is given to one who is not acquainted with the scroll, saying, "Read this, pray.And he says, "I am not acquainted with a scroll."

²⁴ And those straying in spirit shall know understanding, and the grumblers shall learn influence, and the deriders tongues shall learn to talk welfare."

³ And the eyes of the seers shall not squint, and the ears of the hearers shall be attentive,

⁵ Then unclosed shall be the eyes of the blind, and the ears of the deaf shall be opened."

¹⁶ And I will conduct the blind in a way they do not know, and in tracks they do not know will I cause them to tread. I will convert darkness before them into light, and the perverse into straightness. These things I do for them, ¹⁷ nor do I forsake them, when they are turned away back. Ashamed, yea ashamed shall be those trusting in a carving, who are saying to a molten image, `You are our elohim!'" ¹⁸ You deaf, hear! And you blind, look, to see!"

³³ For this [is] the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An affirmation of Yahweh, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their heart I do write it, And I have been to them for Elohim, And they are to me for a people." ³⁴ And they do not teach any more Each his neighbor, and each his brother, Saying, Know you Yahweh, For they all know Me, from their least unto their greatest, An affirmation of Yahweh; For I pardon their iniquity, And of their sin I make mention no more."

⁵ The blind are receiving sight, and the lame are walking; lepers are being cleansed, and the deaf are hearing, and the dead are being roused, and to the poor the evangel is being brought."

¹⁴ And filled up in them is the prophecy of Isaiah, that is saying, '"In hearing, you will be hearing, and may by no means be understanding, And observing, you will be observing, and may by no means be perceiving." ¹⁵ For stoutened is the heart of this people, And with their ears heavily they hear, And with their eyes they squint, Lest at some time they may be perceiving with their eyes, And with their ears should be hearing, And with their heart may be understanding, And should be turning about, And I shall be healing them.'" ¹⁶ Yet happy are your eyes, for they are observing, and your ears, for they are hearing."

³⁷ And they were superexceedingly astonished, saying, "Ideally has He done all! The deaf He is making to be hearing, as well as the dumb to be speaking."

¹⁸ The spirit of the Lord is on Me, On account of which He anoints Me to bring the evangel to the poor. He has commissioned Me to heal the crushed heart, To herald to captives a pardon, And to the blind the receiving of sight; To dispatch the oppressed with a pardon."

²² And answering, Jesus said to them, "Go, report to John what you perceived and hear: that the blind are receiving sight, the lame are walking, lepers are being cleansed, and the deaf are hearing, the dead are being roused, and to the poor the evangel is being brought."

⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets: And they shall all be taught of God. Everyone, then, who hears from the Father and is learning the truth, is coming to Me."

¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them about from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God, for them to get a pardon of sins and an allotment among those who have been hallowed by faith that is in Me.'"

¹⁴ But their apprehensions were calloused, for until this very day the same covering is remaining at the reading of the old covenant, not being uncovered." ¹⁵ for only in Christ is it being nullified. But till today, if ever the reading of Moses should be reached, a covering is lying on their heart." ¹⁶ Yet if ever it should reach a turning back to the Lord, the covering is taken from about it.)" ¹⁷ Now the Lord is the spirit; yet where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." ¹⁸ Now we all, with uncovered face, mirroring the Lord's glory, are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the spirit."

² But we spurn the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor yet adulterating the word of God, but, by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in God's sight." ³ Now, if our evangel is covered, also, it is covered in those who are perishing, ⁴ in whom the god of this eon blinds the apprehensions of the unbelieving so that the illumination of the evangel of the glory of Christ, Who is the Image of the invisible God, does not irradiate them." ⁵ For we are not heralding ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, yet ourselves your slaves because of Jesus, ⁶ for the God Who says that, out of darkness light shall be shining, is He Who shines in our hearts, with a view to the illumination of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may be giving you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the realization of Him, ¹⁸ the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, for you to perceive what is the expectation of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of the enjoyment of His allotment among the saints, ¹⁹ and what the transcendent greatness of His power for us who are believing, in accord with the operation of the might of His strength,

¹⁴ Wherefore He is saying, 'Rouse! O drowsy one, and rise from among the dead, and Christ shall dawn upon you!'"

⁹ Yet you are a chosen race, a "royal priesthood,a "holy nation,a procured people, so that you should be recounting the virtues of Him Who calls you out of darkness into His marvelous light,

¹⁸ I am advising you to buy of Me gold refined by the fire, that you should be rich, and white garments, that you may be clothed and the shame of your nakedness may not be made manifest, and eye-salve to anoint your eyes, that you may be observing."

¹⁸ For the needy one shall not be forgotten permanently; The expectation of the humbled shall not perish for the future.

⁵ Because of the devastation of the humbled, Because of the groaning of the needy, Now I shall arise, says Yahweh; I shall set him in safety; I shall shine forth for him.

⁹ He shall cause the humble to tread in right judgment, And He shall teach the humble His way."

¹¹ Yet the humbled ones, they shall tenant the land, And they will find pleasure in the abundance of well-being."

⁴ For Yahweh is placing approval on His people; He is making the humble beautiful with salvation.

⁴ Yet He will judge with righteousness the poor, and correct with equity for the humble of the land. And He will smite the earth with the club of His mouth, and with the spirit of His lips will He put to death the wicked."

³⁰ and graze do the firstlings of the poor, and the needy shall trustingly recline. Yet I put to death with famine, your root, and your remnant it will kill."

³² And what will they answer, the messengers of a nation? That Yahweh founds Zion, and in it the humble of His people will find refuge."

¹⁶ You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away. And the tempest will scatter them. And you shall exult in Yahweh. And in the Holy One of Israel shall you boast." ¹⁷ The humble and the needy are seeking water, yet there is none. Their tongue is benumbed with thirst. I, Yahweh, will respond to them; the Elohim of Israel, I will not forsake them." ¹⁸ I will open up streams on ridges, and in the midst of valleys, springs. I will convert the wilderness into a pond of water, and arid land into vents of water."

¹⁵ For thus says Yahweh, high and lifted up, who tabernacles the future, and holy is His name:"In the high and holy place am I tabernacling, and with the crushed and lowly spirit, to preserve alive the spirit of the lowly, and to preserve alive the heart of the crushed."

¹ The spirit of My Lord Yahweh is on Me, because Yahweh anoints Me to bear tidings to the humble. He sends Me to bind up the broken hearted, to herald to captives, liberty, and, to the blind, the unclosing of the eyes, and, to the bound, to take the jubilee,

¹⁰ With elation will I be elated in Yahweh. My soul shall exult in my Elohim. For he clothes me with the garments of salvation, and in the robe of righteousness will He muffle me, as a bridegroom with a priestly beautiful turban, and as a bride is ornamenting herself with her outfit."

² Yet all these were made by My hand, and all these are coming to be Mine,averring is Yahweh. "Yet to this one will I look:to the humble and smitten spirit, and he who trembles at My word."

¹⁸ yet I will joy in Yahweh; I will exult in the Elohim of my salvation.

³ Seek Yahweh, all the humble of the land, who have contrived His judgment; seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will be concealed in the day of Yahweh's anger."

¹² And I will cause a humble and poor people to remain within you; and they will take refuge in the name of Yahweh. ¹³ The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity nor speak a lie, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth. For they shall graze, and recline, and no one is causing them to tremble." ¹⁴ Be jubilant, daughter of Zion! Shout, Israel! Rejoice and joy with all the heart, daughter of Jerusalem!" ¹⁵ Yahweh takes away your judgments; He faces your enemies about. The King of Israel, Yahweh, is within you; you shall see no further evil." ¹⁶ In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, You must not fear! Zion, you must not slacken your hands!" ¹⁷ Yahweh, your Elohim, is within you; He, the Master, will save. He will be elated over you with rejoicing; He will renew you in His love; He will exult over you with jubilation." ¹⁸ Those from you, afflicted because of the appointment, I will gather, Woe! Who lifts over her a reproach?

³ "Happy, in spirit, are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.

⁵ "Happy are the meek, for they shall be enjoying the allotment of the land.

²⁹ Lift My yoke upon you and be learning from Me, for meek am I and humble in heart, and you shall be finding rest in your souls,

²⁶ For you are observing your calling, brethren, that there are not many wise according to the flesh; not many powerful, not many noble, ²⁷ but the stupidity of the world God chooses, that He may be disgracing the wise, and the weakness of the world God chooses, that He may be disgracing the strong, ²⁸ and the ignoble and the contemptible things of the world God chooses, and that which is not, that He may be discarding that which is, ²⁹ so that no flesh at all should be boasting in God's sight.

²² Now the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³ meekness, self-control: against such things there is no law."

² with all humility and meekness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,

¹ If, then, there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any communion of spirit, if any compassion and pity, ² fill my joy full, that you may be mutually disposed, having mutual love, joined in soul, being disposed to one thing" ³ nothing according with faction, nor yet according with vainglory - but with humility, deeming one another superior to one's self,

¹ For the rest, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To be writing the same to you is not, indeed irksome for me, yet it is your security." ² Beware of curs, beware of evil workers. Beware of the maimcision, ³ for we are the circumcision who are offering divine service in the spirit of God, and are glorying in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in flesh."

⁴ Be rejoicing in the Lord always! Again, I will declare, be rejoicing!"

⁹ Now let the humble brother be glorying in his exaltation,

²¹ Wherefore, putting off all filthiness and superabundance of evil, receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls."

⁵ Hear, my beloved brethren! Does not God choose the poor in the world, rich in faith and enjoyers of the allotment of the kingdom which He promises to those who are loving Him?

¹³ Who is wise and an adept among you? Let him show his works by an ideal behavior in meekness of wisdom. ¹⁴ Now if you are having bitter jealousy and faction in your heart, are you not vaunting against and falsifying the truth? ¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but terrestrial, soulish, demoniacal. " ¹⁶ For wherever jealousy and faction are, there is turbulence also, and every bad practice." ¹⁷ Now the wisdom from above is first, indeed, pure, thereupon peaceable, lenient, compliant, bulging with mercy and good fruits, undiscriminating, unfeigned." ¹⁸ Now the fruit of righteousness is being sown in peace for those making peace.

¹ Putting off, then, all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envies and all vilifications, ² as recently born babes, long for the unadulterated milk of the word that by it you may be growing into salvation, ³ if so be that you taste that the Lord is kind:

³ I, I instruct My hallowed. And I call them. Moreover, I call My masters, for My anger, even My joyous and My proud."

⁴ For You do become a stronghold for the poor, a stronghold for the needy one in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the drought, for the spirit of the terrifier is as a storm against a side wall." ⁵ As drought in an arid place, the tumult of the arrogant are You quelling. As drought in the shadow of a thick cloud, the psalm of the terrifier is He humbling."

¹⁴ Wherefore, hear the word of Yahweh, mocking mortals, proverb quoters of this people who are in Jerusalem." ¹⁵ For you say, "We have contracted a covenant with death, and with the unseen we made a public treaty. The scourge overflowing that shall pass will not come on us, for we constitute a lie our refuge, and in falsehood are we concealed." ¹⁶ Wherefore, thus says my Lord Yahweh, "Behold Me laying in Zion a foundation stone, a choice stone, a corner of a precious well-founded foundation. The believer on it shall not be put to shame." ¹⁷ And I constitute judgment for the tape, and righteousness for the plummet, and the hail will shovel away the refuge of the lie, and the concealment the waters will overflow." ¹⁸ And annulled is your covenant with death. And your public treaty with the unseen shall not be confirmed. The scourge overflowing, that shall pass, and you come to be for it, something to be trampled on." ¹⁹ As often as it passes, it will take you, for morning by morning will it pass, by day and by night, and it comes to be an evil agony to explain the report." ²⁰ For the berth is shorter than one can overstretch one's self, and the blanket is too narrow as one collects one's self." ²¹ For, as at mount Perazim, Yahweh will rise, as at the vale in Gibeon will He disturb, to do His deed, His alien deed, and to serve His service, His strange service." ²² And now, you must not be mocking, lest your bonds should hold fast, for a conclusive and decisive matter I hear from my Lord, Yahweh of hosts, which He will do over the entire land."

⁵ And, as thin powder, comes the throng of your foes, and, as passing trash, the throng of the terrifiers. And it comes for an instant,

²⁵ For thus says Yahweh, "Even the captive of a master will be taken, and the booty of the terrifier will escape. Yet with your contender I will contend, and your sons I will save."

¹³ And you are forgetting Yahweh, your Maker, the One Who stretches out the heavens, and Founder of the earth. And you are afraid continually, the entire day, in view of the fury of the constrainer? As he prepares to ruin. Yet where is the fury of the constrainer?

⁴ No one is calling in righteousness, and no one is being judged in faithfulness. They trust in chaos, and speak futility. They are pregnant with toil, and generate lawlessness."

⁷ In place of this perceiving am I in the visions of the night, and behold, a fourth animal, terrifying and awful, and exuberantly mighty; she has monstrous iron teeth, devouring and pulverizing and stamping upon the remainder with her feet. She is diverse from all the animals that are east of her, and she has ten horns."

¹⁹ Then I would know the certainty concerning the fourth animal that is diverse from them all, redundantly terrifying:Her teeth of iron, her claws of copper; devouring, pulverizing and stamping upon the remainder with her feet;" ²⁰ and concerning the ten horns that are on her head; and concerning another horn that comes up and the three before it fall, even the same horn with its eyes and a mouth declaring monstrous things, and the vision of it is larger than its partners." ²¹ Perceiving am I and the same horn is making an attack on the saints and is prevailing against them, ²² till the Transferrer of Days arrives, and adjudication is granted to the saints of the supremacies, and the stated time is reached, and the kingdom is safeguarded by the saints." ²³ So he speaks again to me, "The fourth animal--it is the fourth kingdom being on the earth, that is diverse from all three kingdoms. She will devour the entire earth and thresh it and pulverize it." ²⁴ The ten horns--from her kingdom are ten kings who will rise, and another one will rise after them. He is diverse from the eastern:Three kings will he abase;" ²⁵ declarations to set aside the Supreme will he declare; to the saints of the supremacies will he bring decay; he is meaning to alter stated times and an edict; and they shall be granted into his hand unto a season and two seasons and the distribution of a season.

¹ Woe to devisers of lawlessness and contrivers of evil on their beds! In the light of the morning are they executing it, for it is at the disposal of their hand."

⁶ For, behold Me raising the Chaldeans, the bitter and hasty nation, going the widths of the earth to tenant tabernacles not his own." ⁷ Dreadful and fearful is he! His judgment and his dignity are faring forth from him.

⁶ Now there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, ⁷ What is this man, speaking thus? Blaspheming is he! Who is able to pardon sins except One - God?

² And they scrutinized Him to see if on the sabbaths He will be curing him, that they should be accusing Him." ³ And He is saying to the man having the withered hand, "Rise in the midst." ⁴ And He is saying to them, "Is it allowed on the sabbaths to do good or to do evil, a soul to save or to kill?Yet they were silent." ⁵ And looking about on them with indignation, commiserating the callousness of their hearts, He is saying to the man, "Stretch out your hand.And he stretches it out, and his hand was restored." ⁶ And, coming out, the Pharisees straightway held a consultation with the Herodians against Him, so that they should be destroying Him."

⁷ Now the scribes and the Pharisees scrutinized Him, to see if He is curing on the sabbath, that they may be finding an accusation against Him."

¹⁴ Now answering, the chief of the synagogue, resenting that Jesus cures on the sabbath, said to the throng that "Six days are there on which one must be working; on them, then, coming, be cured, and not on the sabbath day." ¹⁵ Yet the Lord answered him and said, "Hypocrites! Each of you, on the sabbath, is he not loosing his ox or ass from the manger, and, leading it away, is giving it to drink? ¹⁶ Now this woman-being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan binds, lo! eighteen years-must she not be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? ¹⁷ And at His saying these things, all those opposing Him were mortified, and the entire throng rejoiced at all the glorious things coming to be done by Him."

¹⁴ Now the Pharisees also, inherently fond of money, heard all these things, and they scouted Him."

²⁰ And scrutinizing Him, they dispatch eavesdroppers, feigning themselves to be just, that they may get hold of a word of His, so as to give Him up to the sovereignty and the jurisdiction of the governor." ²¹ And they inquire of Him, saying, "Teacher, we are aware that you are saying and teaching correctly, and are not taking the surface view, but of a truth the way of God you are teaching." ²² Is it allowed us to give a tax to Caesar, or not? ²³ Now, considering their craftiness, He said to them, "Why are you trying Me?

¹¹ Now, scorning Him and scoffing at Him, Herod, together with his troops, clothing Him in splendid attire, sends Him back to Pilate."

³⁵ And the people had stood, beholding. Now the chiefs also with them scouted, saying, "Others he saves! Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, the Chosen One!"

¹⁰ And I hear a loud voice in heaven saying, "Just now came the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, for the accuser of our brethren was cast out, who was accusing them before our God day and night."

⁶ that they say to him, `Say, I pray you, Shibboleth;' and he said, `Sibboleth,' and is not prepared to speak right--and they seize him, and slaughter him at the passages of the Jordan, and there fall at that time, of Ephraim, forty and two chiefs.

²¹ To be biased is not good, Yet for a morsel of bread a master may transgress."

⁷ And the miser's instruments are evil, and he plans counsels to harm the humble with false sayings, and frustrate the words of the needy, in judgment."

¹⁸ And they say, Come, And we devise against Jeremiah devices, For law does not perish from the priest, Nor counsel from the wise, Nor the word from the prophet, Come, and we smite him with the tongue, And we do not attend to any of his words."

⁷ You have persuaded me, O Yahweh, and I am persuaded; You have hardened me, and do prevail, I have been for a laughter all the day, Every one is mocking at me, ⁸ Because from the time I speak I cry out, `Violence and destruction,' I cry, For the word of Yahweh has been to me For reproach and for derision all the day." <sup>9</sup> And I said, `I do not mention Him, Nor do I speak any more in His name,' And it has been in my heart As a burning fire shut up in my bones, And I have been weary of containing, And I am not able." ¹⁰ For I have heard the evil report of many, Fear [is] round about:`Declare, and we declare it,' All mine allies are watching [for] my halting, `Perhaps he is enticed, and we prevail over him, And we take our vengeance out of him.'"

² `Thus said Yahweh, Stand you in the court of the house of Yahweh, and you have spoken unto all [those of] the cities of Judah who are coming in to bow themselves in the house of Yahweh, all the words that I have commanded you to speak unto them, you do not diminish a word." <sup>3</sup> If so be they hearken, and turn back each from his evil way, then I have repented concerning the evil that I am thinking of doing to them, because of the evil of their doings." <sup>4</sup> `And you have said unto them:Thus said Yahweh, If you do not hearken unto Me, to walk in My law, that I set before you, ⁵ To hearken to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I am sending unto you, yea, rising early and sending, and you have not hearkened, ⁶ Then I have given up this house as Shiloh, and this city I give up for a reviling to all nations of the earth.'" ⁷ And the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, hear Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of Yahweh, ⁸ And it comes to pass, at the completion of Jeremiah's speaking all that Yahweh has commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests, and the prophets, and all the people catch him, saying, You do surely die,

¹⁹ Yea, you pierce Me concerning My people, For handfuls of barley, And for pieces of bread, to put to death Souls that should not die, And to keep alive souls that should not live, By your lying to My people--hearkening to lies."

¹⁰ They hate the corrector in the gateway, and they are abhorring the one speaking flawlessly." ¹¹ Wherefore, because of your trampling on the poor, and the load of cereal you are taking from him:You build houses of trimmed stone, yet you shall not dwell in them; you plant coveted vineyards, yet you shall not drink their wine." ¹² For I know that many are your transgressions and staunch are your sins. You are distressers of the righteous, takers of his propitiatory shelter. And they turn aside the needy in the gateway."

¹⁰ And Amaziah, priest of Bethel, is sending to Jeroboam, king of Israel, saying:Amos conspires against you within the house of Israel. The land is not able to contain all his words." ¹¹ For thus says Amos, By the sword will Jeroboam die. And Israel will verily be deported off his ground." ¹² And Amaziah is saying to Amos, Vision-seer, go! Run your way to the land of Judah, and there eat your bread, and there you shall prophesy." ¹³ Yet at Bethel you shall not continue to prophesy further, for the sanctuary of the king is it, and the house of the kingdom is it." ¹⁴ Yet Amos is answering and saying to Amaziah, I am not a prophet, nor am I a son of a prophet. For I am a herder and a puncturer of sycamore figs." ¹⁵ And Yahweh is taking me from behind the flock, and Yahweh is saying to me, Go, prophesy to My people Israel." ¹⁶ And now, hear the word of Yahweh, You are saying, You shall not prophesy against Israel, nor shall you drop a word against the house of Isaac." ¹⁷ Wherefore, thus says Yahweh, Your wife shall commit prostitution in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your ground shall be apportioned by the line, and you shall die on unclean ground. And Israel shall verily be deported off his ground."

⁶ You must not stutter, is what they are stuttering. They shall not stutter about these matters. It will not turn away confoundings." ⁷ Is this said, house of Jacob:Is the spirit of Yahweh shortened if these be His actions? Are not My words doing good with the one going uprightly?

⁵ Then I will come near to you for judgment, and become a hastening witness against the enchanters and against the adulterers, and against those who are swearing in My name to falsehood, and against those extorting the hire of the hireling, and those tyrannizing over the widow and taunting the orphan, and turning aside the sojourner, and do not fear Me, says Yahweh of hosts."

¹⁵ Then, being gone, the Pharisees held a consultation, so that they should be trapping Him by a word."

¹⁵ Now they weigh for him thirty pieces of silver.

⁵³ And at His coming out thence, the scribes and the Pharisees begin to hem Him in dreadfully and to be quizzing Him concerning more things, ⁵⁴ ambushing Him,seeking to pounce upon something out of His mouth, that they shall be accusing Him."

¹⁴ Now you disown the holy and just One, and request a man, a murderer, to be surrendered to you as a favor."

⁶ You convict, you murder the just; he is not resisting you."

¹⁶ the Messenger, my Redeemer from all evil, bless these youths. And called on them shall be my name, and the name of my forefathers, Abraham and Isaac. And prolific shall they be, to make a vast increase within the land.

² And Joshua said unto all the people, `Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, Beyond the River have your fathers dwelt of old--Terah father of Abraham and father of Nachor--and they serve other elohims;" ³ and I take your father Abraham from beyond the River, and cause him to go through all the land of Canaan, and multiply his seed, and give to him Isaac. ⁴ And I give to Isaac, Jacob and Esau; and I give to Esau mount Seir, to possess it; and Jacob and his sons have gone down to Egypt. ⁵ And I send Moses and Aaron, and plague Egypt, as I have done in its midst, and afterwards I have brought you out.

⁷ `You [are] He, O Yahweh Elohim, who did fix on Abraham, and did bring him out from Ur of the Chaldeans, and did make his name Abraham, <sup>8</sup> and did find his heart stedfast before You, so as to make with him the covenant, to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite, and the Girgashite, to give [it] to his seed. `And You do establish Your words, for You [are] righteous,

⁸ Now you, Israel, My servant; Jacob, whom I have chosen; the seed of Abraham, My love, whom I encourage;" ⁹ from the ends of the land, and from beside it I called you. And I am saying to you, `My servant are you. I choose you, and I do not reject you."

¹⁴ You must not fear, worm Jacob, and death-doomed of Israel, I, I help you,'averring is Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel."

²¹ Remember these things, Jacob and Israel, for My servant are you. I formed you. A servant of Mine are you, Israel. You shall not be oblivious of Me." ²² For behold! I wipe out as a dense haze, your transgressions, and as a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I redeemed you." ²³ Be jubilant, you heavens, for Yahweh does it! Shout, you nether parts of the earth! Crash, you mountains, into jubilation, you wildwood, and every tree within it! For Yahweh has redeemed Jacob, and in Israel He is beautifying Himself." ²⁴ Thus says Yahweh, your Redeemer, and your Former from the belly:"I, Yahweh, am Maker of all, Who stretched out the heavens alone. When stamping out the earth, who was with Me? ²⁵ Annulling the signs of the inventors of deception, and making the diviners bluster, causing the wise to return backward, and making their knowledge silly, ²⁶ setting up the word of His servant, and performing the counsel of His messengers. Saying to Jerusalem, `You shall be indwelt,' and to the cities of Judah, `You shall be built,' and `Its deserted places I will raise up.'"

¹⁷ Israel is saved by Yahweh, with a salvation eonian. They shall not be ashamed nor confounded for future eons."

²⁵ In Yahweh shall they be just, and in Elohim all the seed of Israel shall boast."

³ Hearken to Me, house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, My lading from the belly, and carried from My womb." ⁴ And till old age I am He, and till gray hairs shall I be burdened, I made, and I am bearing. And I will be burdened, and make you escape."

⁷ Thus says my Lord Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Elohim of Israel, his Holy One, to the despised of His soul, to the abhorred of the nation, to the servant of rulers, "Kings shall see him, and they rise, and chiefs shall also worship him, on account of Yahweh, Who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose you." ⁸ Thus says Yahweh, "In a season acceptable I answer you. And in a day of salvation I help you. And I will preserve you, and give you for a covenant of the people, to set up the land, to allot the desolated allotments, ⁹ to say to those bound, `Fare forth,' and to those in darkness, `Be revealed!' And on all their mountains shall they graze. And all ridges shall be their pasture." ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst, nor will the searing wind and the sun smite them. For the One showing them compassion will lead them, and to fonts of water will He conduct them." ¹¹ And I make on all My mountains, and My highways are high." ¹² Behold! These from afar are coming, and, behold! These from the north and these from the sea, and these from the land of Sinim." ¹³ Jubilate, O heavens! And exult, O earth! Crash, O mountains, into jubilation! And the hills into righteousness! For Yahweh is comforting His people, and on His humble is He having compassion." ¹⁴ Yet saying is Zion, "I am forsaken by Yahweh, and my Lord has forgotten me." ¹⁵ Will a woman forget her child, not to have compassion on the son of her belly? Even if these a woman will forget, yet I will not forget you,says Yahweh." ¹⁶ Behold! On My palms I tattoo you, and your walls are in front of Me continually." ¹⁷ Your sons hasten more than your demolishers, and those who made you a desert, are faring forth from you." ¹⁸ Lift your eyes around and see them all. They are convened and come to you. "Living am I,averring is Yahweh, "For with them all, as an ornament, shall you be clothed, and you shall tie them on as a bride her wreath." ¹⁹ For they are your deserts and your desolations, and the land of your demolitions, for now are you constricted because of the dweller, yet far away are they who swallowed you up." ²⁰ Further, the sons of your bereavements shall say in your ears, `Constricted for me is the place. Come close to me and I will dwell.'" <sup>21</sup> And you say in your heart, `Who generated these for me, while I was bereaved and a widow, and deported and withdrawn? And these--who brought them up for me? Behold! I remained alone. Yet these-- whereat were they?'" ²² For thus says my Lord Yahweh, "Behold! I will lift My hand to the nations, and to the peoples will I raise My banner high. And they bring your sons in a bosom pouch, and your daughters on the shoulders shall be borne, ²³ and kings become your foster fathers, and their chiefesses your wet nurses. Nostrils to the earth, shall they prostrate to you, and the soil at your feet shall they lick up. Then you shall know that I am Yahweh, and those expecting Me shall not be ashamed." ²⁴ Taken from a master is the booty? And would the captive of a terrifier escape? ²⁵ For thus says Yahweh, "Even the captive of a master will be taken, and the booty of the terrifier will escape. Yet with your contender I will contend, and your sons I will save." ²⁶ And I feed those tyrannizing over you with their own flesh, and as with juice, with their own blood shall they be drunk. Then all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Saviour, and your Redeemer is the Sturdy One of Jacob."

² Look to Abraham, your forefather, and to Sarah, who travailed with you, for one was he when I called him and blessed him, and I loved him and will increase him."

¹¹ And the ransomed of Yahweh shall return, and they come to Zion with jubilation, and rejoicing eonian is on their head. Elation and rejoicing shall overtake them, and affliction shall flee, and grief and sighing."

⁴ You must not fear, for you are not shamed, and you must not be confounded, for you shall not be abashed. For the shame of your adolescence will you forget, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no longer."

¹ Light up! Light up, Jerusalem! For come has your light, and the glory of Yahweh over you is radiant." ² For behold! The darkness is covering the earth, and murkiness the folkstems, yet, over you, radiant is Yahweh, and His glory over you is appearing." ³ And the nations will go to your light, and kings to the brightness of your radiance." ⁴ Lift your eyes around and see your children. All of them are convened. They come to you. Behold! All your sons from afar are coming, and your daughters on the side are being fostered." ⁵ Then you shall see and beam. And awed and wide will be your heart, for turned to you shall be the throng of the sea. The estate of nations shall come to you." ⁶ An accumulation of camels shall cover you, dromedaries of Midian and Ephah, all those from Sheba shall come. Gold and frankincense and precious stones shall they carry, and of the praises of Yahweh shall they bear tidings." ⁷ All the flocks of Kedar shall be convened to you, and the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you. They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, and My house of prayer will I beautify." ⁸ Who are these? As a thick cloud are they flying, and as doves to their crevices." ⁹ For to Me the boats of the coastlands are stretching, and the ships of Tharshish among the first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of Yahweh, your Elohim, and to the Holy One of Israel, for He beautifies you."

⁷ Instead of your shame, a second portion is yours, and for confounding they shall jubilate in their portion. Wherefore, in their land a second portion shall they tenant. And rejoicing eonian shall come to be on their heads." ⁸ For I, Yahweh, am a lover of judgment, and a hater of pillage by iniquity. And I give them their wage in truth, and a covenant eonian will I contract with them." ⁹ And known among the nations is their seed, and their offspring in the midst of the peoples. All seeing them shall recognize them, that they are the seed blessed by Yahweh Elohim." ¹⁰ With elation will I be elated in Yahweh. My soul shall exult in my Elohim. For he clothes me with the garments of salvation, and in the robe of righteousness will He muffle me, as a bridegroom with a priestly beautiful turban, and as a bride is ornamenting herself with her outfit." ¹¹ For as the earth is bringing forth her sprouts, and as the garden is causing its sowings to sprout, so, my Lord Yahweh Elohim will cause righteousness to sprout, and praise, in front of all the nations."

¹⁶ For You are our Father, for Abraham does not know us, and Israel is not recognizing us. You are He, Yahweh, our Father, our Redeemer; from the eon is Your name."

⁵ Surely thus said Yahweh:A voice of trembling we have heard, Fear--and there is no peace." ⁶ Ask, I pray you, and see, is a male bringing forth? Wherefore have I seen every man, His hands on his loins, as a travailing woman, And all faces have been turned to paleness? ⁷ Woe! for great [is] that day, without any like it, Yea, a time of adversity it [is] to Jacob, Yet out of it he is saved."

¹⁰ And you, be not afraid, My servant Jacob, An affirmation of Yahweh, Nor be affrighted, O Israel, For, lo, I am saving you from afar, And your seed from the land of their captivity, And Jacob has turned back and rested, And is quiet, and there is none troubling."

¹⁰ Hear a word of Yahweh, O nations, And declare you among isles afar off, and say:He who is scattering Israel does gather him, And has kept him as a shepherd [does] his flock, ¹¹ For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob, And redeemed him from a hand stronger than he." ¹² And they have come in, And have sung in the high place of Zion, And flowed unto the goodness of Yahweh, For wheat, and for new wine, and for oil, And for the young of the flock and herd, And their soul has been as a watered garden, And they add not to grieve any more."

²⁴ `Have you not considered what this people have spoken, saying:The two families on which Yahweh fixed, He does reject them, And my people they despise--So that they are no more a people before them!" ²⁵ Thus said Yahweh:If My covenant [is] not daily and nightly, The statutes of heaven and earth I have not appointed--" ²⁶ Also the seed of Jacob, and David My servant, I reject, Against taking from his seed rulers For the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, For I turn back [to] their captivity, and have pitied them.'"

²⁴ And My servant David [is] king over them, And one shepherd have they all, And in My judgments they go, And My statutes they keep, and have done them."

²⁸ And known have the nations that I Yahweh am sanctifying Israel, In My sanctuary being in their midst--to the eon!'"

²⁵ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Now do I bring back the captivity of Jacob, And I have pitied all the house of Israel, And have been zealous for My holy name." ²⁶ And they have forgotten their shame, And all their trespass that they trespassed against Me, In their dwelling on their land confidently and none troubling." ²⁷ In My bringing them back from the peoples, I have assembled them from the lands of their enemies, And I have been sanctified in them before the eyes of the many nations, ²⁸ And they have known that I [am] Yahweh their Elohim, In My removing them unto the nations, And I have gathered them unto their land, And I leave none of them any more there." ²⁹ And I hide not any more My face from them, In that I have poured out My spirit on the house of Israel, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh!'"

²⁵ and windows [are] to it and to its arches all round about, like these windows, fifty cubits the length, and the breadth five and twenty cubits;" ²⁶ and seven steps [are] its ascent, and its arches [are] before them, and palm-trees [are] to it, one on this side, and one on that side, at its posts;" ²⁷ and the gate of the inner court [is] southward, and he measures from gate unto gate southward, a hundred cubits." ²⁸ And he brings me in unto the inner court by the south gate, and he measures the south gate according to these measures;" ²⁹ and its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches [are] according to these measures, and windows [are] to it and to its arches all round about; fifty cubits the length, and the breadth twenty and five cubits." ³⁰ As to the arches all round about, the length [is] five and twenty cubits, and the breadth five cubits;" ³¹ and its arches [are] unto the outer court, and palm-trees [are] unto its posts, and eight steps [are] its ascent." ³² And he brings me in unto the inner court eastward, and he measures the gate according to these measures;" ³³ and its little chambers, and its posts, and its arches [are] according to these measures:and windows [are] to it and to its arches all round about, the length fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits;" ³⁴ and its arches [are] toward the outer court, and palm-trees [are] toward its posts, on this side and on that side, and eight steps [are] its ascent." ³⁵ And he brings me in unto the north gate, and has measured according to these measures;" ³⁶ its little chambers, its posts, and its arches; and windows [are] to it all round about:the length fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits;" ³⁷ and its posts [are] to the outer court, and palm-trees [are] unto its posts, on this side and on that side, and eight steps [are] its ascent." ³⁸ And the chamber and its opening [is] by the posts of the gates, there they purge the burnt-offering." ³⁹ And in the porch of the gate [are] two tables on this side, and two tables on that side, to slaughter on them the burnt-offering, and the sin-offering, and the guilt-offering;" ⁴⁰ and at the side without, at the going up to the opening of the north gate, [are] two tables; and at the other side that [is] at the porch of the gate, [are] two tables;" ⁴¹ four tables [are] on this side, and four tables on that side, at the side of the gate, eight tables on which they slaughter." ⁴² And the four tables for burnt-offering [are] of hewn stone:the length one cubit and a half, and the breadth one cubit and a half, and the height one cubit:on them they place the instruments with which they slaughter the burnt-offering and the sacrifice." ⁴³ And the boundaries [are] one handbreadth, prepared within all round about:and on the tables [is] the flesh of the offering." ⁴⁴ And on the outside of the inner gate [are] chambers of the singers, in the inner court, that [are] at the side of the north gate, and their fronts [are] southward, one at the side of the east gate [has] the front northward." ⁴⁵ And he speaks unto me:`This chamber, whose front [is] southward, [is] for priests keeping charge of the house;" ⁴⁶ and the chamber, whose front [is] northward, [is] for priests keeping charge of the altar:they [are] sons of Zadok, who are drawing near of the sons of Levi unto Yahweh, to serve Him.'" ⁴⁷ And he measures the court:the length a hundred cubits, and the breadth a hundred cubits, square, and the altar [is] before the house." ⁴⁸ And he brings me in unto the porch of the house, and he measures the post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side, and the breadth of the gate, three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side;"

²⁷ You shall know that within Israel am I, and I am Yahweh, your Elohim, and there is none else beside Me. And My people shall not be ashamed for the eon."

⁶⁸ Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, For He visits, and makes a redemption for His people,

¹¹ I am saying, then, Do they not trip that they should be falling? May it not be coming to that! But in their offense is salvation to the nations, to provoke them to jealousy." ¹² Now if their offense is the world's riches and their discomfiture the nations' riches, how much rather that which fills them!" ¹³ Now to you am I saying, to the nations, in as much as, indeed, then, I am the apostle of the nations, I am glorifying my dispensation, ¹⁴ if somehow I should be provoking those of my flesh to jealousy and should be saving some of them. ¹⁵ For if their casting away is the conciliation of the world, what will the taking back be if not life from among the dead? ¹⁶ Now if the firstfruit is holy, the kneading is also; and if the root is holy, the boughs are also." ¹⁷ Now if some of the boughs are broken out, yet you, being a wild olive, are grafted among them, and became a joint participant of the root and fatness of the olive, ¹⁸ be not vaunting, you are not bearing the root, but the root you." ¹⁹ You will be declaring, then, "Boughs are broken out that I may be grafted in." ²⁰ Ideally! By unbelief are they broken out, yet you stand in faith. Be not haughty, but fear." ²¹ For if God spares not the natural boughs, neither will He be sparing you!" ²² Perceive, then, the kindness and severity of God! On those, indeed, who are falling, severity, yet on you, God's kindness, if you should be persisting in the kindness: else you also will be hewn out." ²³ Now they also, if they should not be persisting in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again." ²⁴ For if you were hewn out of an olive wild by nature, and, beside nature, are grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much rather shall these, who are in accord with nature, be grafted into their own olive tree!"

¹⁸ being aware that not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, were you ransomed from your vain behavior, handed down by tradition from the fathers, ¹⁹ but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a flawless and unspotted lamb,

⁹ And they are singing a new song, saying, "Worthy art Thou to be taking the scroll and to open its seals, For Thou wast slain and dost buy us for God by Thy blood. Out of every tribe and language and people and nation."

³ Then Moses said to Aaron:That is what Yahweh spoke of, saying:Among those near Me shall I be hallowed, and in the presence of all the people shall I be glorified. Aaron was still;"

¹⁶ And lofty is Yahweh of hosts in judgment, and holy El is hallowed in righteousness."

¹³ Yahweh of hosts--Him shall you sanctify, and He shall be your fear, and He shall be your terror."

²⁵ who are blessed by Yahweh of hosts, who says, "Blessed be My people, Egypt, and the making of My hands, Assyria, and My allotment, Israel."

²¹ This people I have formed for Myself, and they shall relate My praise."

¹¹ Thus says Yahweh Elohim, the Holy One of Israel, and its Former, "`What is arriving?' you ask Me. Yet concerning My sons and concerning My daughters, and concerning your contrivance of My hands are you instructing Me!"

²¹ And your people, all of them are righteous; for the eon shall they tenant the land, the scion of Yahweh's planting, the making of His hand, to beautify itself."

⁵ Afterward are the sons of Israel returning, and they seek Yahweh their Elohim, and David their king, and they come in awe to Yahweh and to His goodness, in the latter days."

⁹ Thus, then, you be praying: 'Our Father Who art in the heavens, hallowed be Thy name."

¹⁰ For His achievement are we, being created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God makes ready beforehand, that we should be walking in them."

¹⁵ And the seventh messenger trumpets. And loud voices occurred in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of this world became our Lord's and His Christ's, and He shall be reigning for the eons of the eons! Amen!" ¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders who are sitting on their thrones before God fall on their faces and worship God, ¹⁷ saying, "We are thanking Thee, Lord God Almighty, Who art and Who wast, for Thou hast taken Thy great power and dost reign."

⁴ Who may by no means be afraid of Thee, Lord, And glorify Thy name? For Thou only art benign. For all the nations shall arrive And worship before Thee, For Thy just awards were made manifest."

⁵ And a voice came out from the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all His slaves, and those who are fearing Him, the small and the great."

⁷ And, moreover, these by wine, do err, and by an intoxicant they stray. Priest and prophet err by an intoxicant. They are swallowed up because of the wine. They stray because of the intoxicant. They err in sight, quaver in mediation,

¹⁰ For Yahweh has libated on you a spirit of stupor. And He is restraining your eyes, that is, the prophets, and your heads, the vision seers, He covers." ¹¹ And to you are all visions becoming as the words of a sealed scroll, which they are giving him acquainted with the scroll, saying, "Read this, pray.And he says, "I cannot, for it is sealed."

²¹ and your ears shall hear a word from behind you saying, "This is the way, go in it,in case you shall go right, and in case you shall go left."

²⁰ that they may see and know, and regard and use intelligence together, for the hand of Yahweh did all this, and the Holy One of Israel created it."

¹⁶ And you suck the milk of nations, and the breast of kings shall you suck. Then you will know that I, Yahweh, am your Saviour, and your Redeemer is the Sturdy One of Jacob."

¹⁰ Yet I pour out on the house of David, and on the dwellers of Jerusalem, a spirit of grace and supplications; and they look to Him Whom they stabbed, and they will wail over Him as the wailing over the only son, and they will be embittered over Him as the embittering over the firstborn."

²⁸ Now what are you supposing? A man had two children. And, coming to the first, he said, 'Child, go today, work in my vineyard.'" ²⁹ Yet he, answering, said, 'I do not want to.' Yet subsequently, regretting it, he went forth." ³⁰ Now, coming to the second, he said similarly. Now he, answering, said, "I go, lord! and he went not forth." ³¹ Which of the two does the will of the father?They are saying, "The first.Jesus is saying to them, "Verily, I am saying to you that the tribute collectors and the prostitutes are preceding you into the kingdom of God." ³² For John came to you on the road of righteousness, and you do not believe him. Yet the tribute collectors and the prostitutes believe him. Now you, perceiving it, did not even regret subsequently, so as to believe him."

⁴⁷ on behalf of which, I am saying to you, pardoned are her many sins, for she loves much. Now to whom there is scant pardoning, there is scant loving."

¹⁷ Now, coming to himself, he averred, 'How many of my father's hired men are being cloyed with bread, yet I am perishing here of famine!" ¹⁸ Rising, I will go to my father and declare to him, "Father, I sinned against heaven and in your sight." ¹⁹ No longer am I worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired men."'"

³⁷ Now, hearing this, their heart was pricked with compunction. Besides, they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "What should we be doing, men, brethren?

⁷ And the word of God grows, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem multiplied tremendously. Besides, a vast throng of the priests obeyed the faith."

¹⁹ and obtaining nourishment, is strengthened. Now he came to be with the disciples in Damascus some days." ²⁰ And immediately, in the synagogues, he heralded Jesus, that He is the Son of God."

¹¹ And some of you were these, but you are bathed off, but you are hallowed, but you were justified in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by the spirit of our God."

¹³ I, who formerly was a calumniator and a persecutor and an outrager: but I was shown mercy, seeing that I do it being ignorant, in unbelief." ¹⁴ Yet the grace of our Lord overwhelms, with faith and love in Christ Jesus." ¹⁵ Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all welcome, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, foremost of whom am I."

² able to be moderate with the ignorant and straying, since he also is encompassed with infirmity,

² And he lays hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the Adversary and Satan, and binds him a thousand years." ³ And he casts him into the submerged chaos and locks it, and seals it over him (lest he should still be deceiving the nations) until the thousand years should be finished. After these things he must be loosed a little time."
